  Foreword

Decided to do something different with this volume. Normally each book has about two arcs. However, this one ended up being only one. I plan to continue this trend with future volumes. Unless they get very large like the trip back to Earth. Other than those kinds of outliers. Expect Isekai Academy’s volumes to be shorter than before. Though I don’t expect them to be shorter than this one. It all depends on the individual arcs.

Again I am grateful to anyone who has read this far. I am putting far more effort into Isekai Academy this year. I am working on Isekai Monster sparsely, as well as a few other projects. One of which may be out in a few weeks. To everyone, enjoying Lyeh’s adventure please leave a review. Every little thing helps with the almighty algorithm.

As a minor note, I have been looking forward to the next arc since I started writing Isekai Academy. I have waited over a year to get to the second year. Lyeh and her friends will visit some of my favorite worlds and meet some great characters. Along the way all of them will be growing and maturing together, growing closer and closer.

Admittedly, I don’t care for shipping, but the characters themselves have a will of their own. Just know that I am not forcing any developments. Most of that progression is a happy accident. Honestly, I am kind of scared of how alive these characters feel. Something is definitely a little wrong with me.

Thanks again, everyone, get ready for the start of the second year. The story is only going to get wilder from this point onward. Second year is the last “safe” year for our students. Even so, this year is meant to prepare our students for the more challenging third year, which I hope to get to later this year. I cannot wait to show you everything that has been bubbling in my head these past few years.

Please everyone, enjoy the start of Lyeh’s second year at the Academy. Where her and her friends will face the Wrath of the Void Titan.

  Void Titans’ Test

[Favored Children, I have trapped all of you within this isolated space. Here your Outsider skill will not save you. As such, you cannot escape. If you wish to leave, prove your worth! If you don’t understand how to demonstrate your Authority. Simply lay your mark upon this marvelous body of ours! Insignificant attempts won’t be able to so much as touch our glorious form.]

A fight on the first day of school, and against the teacher. Not the Academy’s System but someone who graduated from the Academy. At a minimum, they are a type 2 divine entity, something equivalent to a living star.

  This should be fun!

“Oh! A-are you saying. Are you truly telling me? That I can fight? Ehe he he…” A high pitched elegant voice drowns out all others with near maniacal laughter.

**Seeking confirmation, Via has fallen or is lost. Confirmed. Self-evaluation, no physical or mental abnormalities detected. Permission to engage has been granted. Have fun dear sister.** A distinctly artificial voice emanates from Princess Mari, following her off-putting laughter.

“Oh ho ho! This. This will be fun! Finally, I get to have some fun. Without father getting in my way.” Her voice echoes all around us.

Slowly Princess Mari rises into the air, her fancy dress fluttering in the nonexistent wind. She is floating a few meters in the air above us held aloft by a tremendous torrent of mana and air. All of this is swirling around her feet lifting her into the air yet somehow is not lifting her long flowing skirt.

**Snap Crack** Black lightning leaps off of the princess striking the ground as the very air cracks around her.

Princess Mari reaches her hand forward, a black ring on her middle finger shining with an ominous dark light. Her hand and ring vanish into some dark nothingness, as if she plunged her fist into nothingness itself. From the void, the princess pulls out a massive pitch black ax. The ax is intricately detailed and appears to be made of some twisted warped yet polished metal.

Held leisurely in the princess’s dainty hands is a dreadfully terrifying ax. The ax is as tall as the princess. With a full moon double faced blade, the ax is wider than the princess’s whole body. It glimmers above her head like an ominous solar eclipse surrounded by a corona of gold. Looking at her, I swear I can hear mad cackling come from not only her but the ax as well.

But Princess Mari is too much of a refined young lady to cackle maniacally.

[Student Mari Yuno Titania en Twilight, pass]

“Wait wah, no!!!” Princess Mari vanishes. The storm of mana and black lightning lingers for a second, but it dissipates quickly enough.

  [Student Jon Avaritia, Pass]

What? Jon passed? What did he do? I would have loved to find out, but a massive blue-gold arm comes rushing towards me.

Taking a deep breath, I refocused on the battle at hand. Only problem, my black armor doesn’t come to me. Instead, only my glaive forms in my hands with a dozen spears floating around me. Each one eagerly brimming with energy waiting to be unleashed.

My glaive strike sends the Titan’s arm crashing into the ground on my left. In the same instant, my spears fly towards the Titan’s chest but that’s not my true goal. Hoping the barrage of spears draws their attention I begin my actual attack.

With one deep breath, my glaive grows to twice its normal size. Quickly I bring the now massive glaive down on their arm. Before I can split the immobile arm. A second arm deflects my weapon while a third strikes me.

How can something the size of an aircraft carrier move so fast?

  **Bang** Ougf!

Right, they have six arms. Why am I dealing with three of them? This doesn’t seem very fair. It’s like they are targeting me over everyone else?

Oh, half of my vision became red.

Pulling myself out of the hauntingly white ground. I see everyone is throwing random spells and curses at the teacher’s massive flying arms. Each one of my fellow classmates is attacking while avoiding the other three floating arms attacks. Everyone is running around the huge empty white void as massive hands try to flatten them. The Titan isn’t even bothering to guard against most of our attacks.

“Right, they said normal attacks wouldn’t even be able to touch them.”

I noticed it when they deflected my glaive. My blade didn't even touch them. It was stopped by what looked like a thin barrier around the Titan’s body. That nearly invisible field is what was blocking my attack, and everyone else’s. Whatever it is, it isn’t made of mana. It is something I cannot detect at all. Aside from the odd way it is blocking our attacks I would think it wasn’t even there.

It’s kind of like dark matter that way, you can only measure it by how it interacts with what is around it.

**Kaboom** Someone caused a tremendous explosion on the far side of the teacher. Guess that field really is blocking almost everything we are throwing at them. This barrier kind of reminds me of those not so magic barriers in some anime. It protects against basically anything.

Kind of reminds or of the universal body armor soldiers used to protect against the elements and random shrapnel and even small caliber rounds.

“If this non-magic field is something like basic body armor? We just have to hit them with something stronger to peel it away or something pinpoint to pierce it. Something like armor-piercing rounds! I wonder if my spears can do that? Maybe if they spin or I change the shape of their tips?”

Well, a single failed attempt won’t discourage me. Especially when I wasn’t even trying. Drawing in more prana, I flood my body with it. I feel that now familiar snap as the first limit is released. It takes me two steps to get back in striking distance. In a large arc, I bring my glaive down on one of the floating arms.

This time the arm turns and catches the blade with their fingers. That was disappointing yet kind of cool to see. However, now I have no means of escape, as a second arm comes racing towards me. That first hit hurt, and I defended against it.

Before I am hit, Nora rushes from behind to block for me. I cannot let her get hit instead of me. Nora definitely looks tougher than I do, but I a

m definitely stronger and more durable than she is. Letting go of my weapon it dissolves. As soon as it is gone, chains sprout from the ground. They ensnared the swinging arm, stopping it right in its tracks.

However, the arm that stopped my glaive is now free and coming down to smash us. Drawing in more prana the second limit is broken. I prepare to catch their arm but it freezes in midair.

{How interesting a null field and a probability optimizer.} This unknown voice is distinctly feminine but echoes from the same direction as the Titan.

[Students Sign Cecht Miach and Nora, pass]

I barely get to see what looks like Nora stabbing the Titan’s finger with a dagger before she vanishes. The Titan’s finger appears slightly discolored where Nora stabbed it. The invisible barrier around this finger looks to have been peeled off just before Nora struck, but how?

Unfortunately, I don’t have time to inspect because my chains have faded away. The other hand, now free, grabbed me. Trapped in the Titan’s grip honestly didn’t hurt much. I have to wonder if the teacher is holding back. Or, is the Academy’s System stopping them from really hurting us? Breaking the third seal I have about half as much mana as Xxyxx. It’s difficult but I open the massive hand and escape.

  {Demon Lord’s Spite and True Devil’s Hell Fire, not very interesting but effective.}

[Students Mao Hex Opus Shayton and Ra, pass]

  What, more people are passing?

I haven’t seen anyone do anything that impressive besides Mari. What is going on? Is everyone hiding what they can do from me? Or is the Titan purposefully keeping me occupied?

Deciding I need a new plan. I avoid their swinging arms and rush to find anyone who is still fighting. Racing around to the backside of the Titan’s main body. I picked up Rou and Cath along the way. Rou was scurrying around in his animal form. Cath was looking for an opening, but as soon as I picked her up. She transformed into her adorable puppy form. Like this she is adorably holding her knife in her mouth just waiting to attack, wings and tail flapping and wagging happily.

So cute, I wish I could stop to pet her!

I’m glad Cath caught on quickly. Chea and Cath are the only ones who seemed to be able to pick up on what I am thinking. Makes sense to me, those two are the ones who spent the most time with me while we were on Earth. We had lots of fun watching anime late into the night and eating popcorn. I got to cuddle with and pet Cath a lot and brush Chea’s hair.

  Perfectly normal friend time together.

**Swoosh** Dodging the next strike I ran up the teacher’s arm. Unfortunately, my guildmates aren’t the only ones who picked up on my plan. One of the teacher’s arms exploded like a cluster bomb. Now there are countless van size arms flying at us, forcing me to back off aiming for their head. Rou is crying like a baby as we race through the air leaping from arm to arm.

“Seriously, why are so many coming after me?!”

Reevaluating my plan, I remembered something I did back on Cal’s world. Leaping into the air, dozens of golden magic circles form around me each one with a golden arrow slowly forming. Tossing Rou and Cath into their own circles. The arrows surround us, and I let loose volley after volley of golden arrows at the Titan’s main body.

{I never thought someone so small would try to bite into us, and the maraj’s authority is antithetical to our own. As for that black blade… Is it made of the same material as the void ax? Where did children acquire such divine tools?} The female titan’s voice trails off.

Rou appeared to pass right through the Titan’s invisible barrier. He ended up scratching its massive body with his antlers. Cath on the other hand bounced off of it like all of my other arrows. However, her knife cut into it as smoothly as cutting into butter. Leaving a gash, far larger than her blade, on the barrier wrapping around their body.

She cut them with an anime-style sword slash!

[Students Shu Bint 'iilah Althueban Aleazim, Rou El-Marj Eafora Palpilloma, and Cath Scion of Grimm, pass] What did Shu do? Who was that again? The snake-girl right?

A blast of freezing air refocuses me after the shock of seeing Rou and Cath vanish in front of me. I didn’t expect the teacher to use magic. That was a bad assumption. Off in the distance, a fire giant sneaks up behind the Titan’s main body.

**Boom** The fire giant crashes into the Titan’s torso causing all of its arms to pause their attack mid-air.

That’s Cal, right? Doesn’t really matter. As long as I get a moment to catch my breath. Breaking these limiters tires me out quickly. Why am I doing this, anyway?

“Lyeh, I’m sorry to trouble you. But, you can make weapons right? Could you make me a sword?” Pass asks me, appearing out of nowhere.

This isn’t good. Tunnel vision has set it. I cannot let that happen.

“A sword? Can I do that? I mean I do it all the time, but can others wield my hero weapons?” I asked myself out loud.

Scrolling through my phone, I find something that should work. Breaking the fourth seal I imagine a sword. At first I thought of Excalibur but that’s too boring so I decided on something else. Next thing I know a rather plain looking short sword appears in my hand.

“Unfortunately, it came out kind of dull. I picked one of my world’s three holy swords, but I thought it would look fancier. Not this, a silvery straight blade with no ornamentation. Anyway here you go, Pass.” I said tossing the short blade to him.

  “That is beautiful.” Pass exclaims.

  {Isn’t that adorable, Parja? The two of them resonated their souls’ so easily, and at such a young age. You could learn a thing about kindness from this child.}

  [Students Felt and Cal, pass]

Uh-oh, Cal is gone. The teacher turned their attention back to me. Breaking the fifth seal, I prepare to catch their arm. Except right before it hits, Pass strikes it with his sword. The sword I made was glowing orange and blue in his hands, it also was now far longer than it used to be.

After his attack I can see a shallow cut in the Titan’s arm, but the large purple aura covering Pass is far more interesting. The aura is slowly coalescing into solid matter. A set of ribs, a skull, and other bones form around him almost like armor. That is awesome.

  [Student Pass Juht Sisto, pass]

“Is this the extent of your power, little hero?” Lost in thought I didn't notice Bau and Rae appearing right next to me.

“Wha, what are you two doing?”

“Don’t be deceived, Bau. She’s hiding something dangerous even deeper inside that tiny soul of hers. You cannot fool me, young hero. Go on, let it all out. I want to see you at your strongest. Show me what an authentic hero is capable of. I want to see if you are like my father.” Rae exclaims, happily fluttering with excitement as she flies around me.

Why is she so excited? Wait, I’m practically bouncing right along with her. I think I get it. Letting loose like this is fun, more fun than I can remember. Another deep breath and I break the Sixth seal. After a moment of dizziness my mind refocused.

I feel like my consciousness is outside of my body. In this state I have more mana than Osormr, even if it doesn’t feel exactly the same. Actually, I feel something else flowing into me. It’s not mana or prana. I am pulling something mana-like from someone or something else. My connection to Osormr maybe?

Turning my attention back to the Titan, my new hoodie is glowing brightly. Is it granting me a new avenue of super dense mana? Even if it is, I feel like I am getting mana from more than one source. Something else is focusing me.

Ah, I really wish I could have a plushie that looks like Osormr. Rae looks really cute too, smiling at me in her half dragon form. I should show her something cool. The coolest, most powerful explosion I can think of. Something, nuclear. Yeah, let’s smash some atoms.

Holding out my hand, I form a new spell. As I do this I notice that something feels off. I smell something burning like toast and my surroundings are dyed with a new pink light. Ignoring the ominous smell, I compress the mana in my hand. A sphere of dense mana surrounded by several other concentric circles. I wonder if mana will be compressed by explosions?
