Simon Colbourne. Searches for information about his disappearance had found one person who thought he was on a ferry to France at about the time he was reported missing. The respondent claimed that the person in question appeared in a distressed state and told a reporter that he must have ‘gone over the side.’ The search has now been called off.

Mr. and Mrs. Colbourne returned to the U.K. on learning that their adopted son had been reported missing. Mr Colbourne comforted his wife with the truism that Simon had enjoyed a good life since they adopted him at the age of two, reassuring her that there would be a logical reason for his disappearance. However under the circumstances he thought that Simon’s natural parents, the Horrocks’, should be informed.

Hugo Biggs-Connaughton is currently serving ten years in prison having been found guilty of attacking a titled lady in Kensington. Following police enquiries he admitted several other crimes, these were taken into account when he was sentenced under his real name, Sean Horrocks.
