“You are finally mine, sweet witch,” he murmured, kissing me again, deeper, more thoroughly than ever before.
Faster than I realized could happen, he swelled inside of me. Ready for more, I mused with a wicked grin, nipping his lip with my teeth.
“I like it when you’re bitey,” he warned, but I was more than ready for him.
“My turn to ride, snake man,” I said, pushing his shoulders and flipping our positions.
“Anything you want, mate.”
I smiled in surprise at how right that word sounded. Then I lost my mind completely in the throes of passion with my one and only Shifter boyfriend. Mate. Whatever. He was mine and I was his and that was all that mattered.
“Come with me, Bella. Let’s find our forever together.”
“Yes!”
That sounded great to me.
EPILOGUE
The Castor’s Corner Summer Solstice Festival meant the entirety of Main Street was blocked off by order of the mayor, herself. Rows of tents with carnival games, craft and food vendors lined the streets. Hangman’s Field was decked out with dozens of carnival rides, and every citizen in town was out and about enjoying themselves.
The festivities had started around noon and would transpire until the wee hours of the morning. I had six employees on the schedule, two inside and four manning our tent. Mira was in charge, and I was happy to report she’d really stepped up and in a big way.
It was eleven-thirty, and I had just half an hour to get the final cake for Evie and Donny’s planned wedding ceremony to the clearing. I was nervous as hell, not about the cake—that was gorgeous—but about what I was going to do once I got there.
“You ready, my witchy?” Petyr asked, and I nodded.
The Domovyk was joined by Ivan and Gryn and together, the three used their magic to transport the enormous cake to the designated tent. I gave a few last-minute instructions to my employees before heading there alone.
Conrad would be with Jaxson and Ryan, the two grooms—with any luck, my mate would have no objection to adding to the wedding party. I met Evie and Donny, both resplendent in their gowns.
Evie’s was a rockabilly version of a traditional bridal dress with a halter top and bright aqua petticoat visible beneath the mid-length skirt. Her accessories matched, and she looked amazeballs.
Donny’s was a mermaid gown with a huge train and a long Chantilly lace veil. Her blonde hair hung down to her waist in huge curls and she wore bright red lipstick and nail polish, and shoes—I was surprised to see. She looked like a fairytale.
“Well? Aren’t you going to put it on?” Donny asked me.
I stared at the white and pale pink confection and bit my lip. This was the moment of truth. Was I too timid and shy to go after what I wanted? Or did I take a leap of faith and go for the gold? The wedding march started, and I trembled nervously before nodding my head.
“I won’t know unless I try,” I murmured.
“Great! There’s no time for you to do this the old fashioned way,” Evie said and wiggled her fingers.
Two seconds later I was bedazzled in all my wedding day fantasy apparel, and shocked at the vision I made. Buxom beauty at its best!
“Hey girls, I’m sorry I never made it—”
“Never made what?”
“A guilt free goody for us,” I began. “But I wanted you three to know I am so proud of us. I am finished trying to change what we look like to suit or conform to everyone else. We are the trifecta, dang it, and the Goddess gave us our curves for a reason.”
“Damn straight,” Donny said and sniffed.
“I love us.”
“Ladies, the grooms are getting anxious—Bella?” Conrad entered our tent, his grin turning to shock as he took in my very obvious wedding attire.
He looked stupidly hot in his gray morning suit, and I had to wipe the drool that threatened to dribble down my chin.
“Oh wow, I guess I am doing this now,” I whisper-screamed and looked at Evie and Donny, who were nodding at me encouragingly.
“Okay, I was going to sort of propose in my dress in front of everyone in the hope you could not say no, but here goes. I love you. That’s it. I love you and I want to be with you forever, not just as your mate, but as your wife. I understand if you need—”
“Yes! Yes, with all my heart, yes. I will marry you, sweet witch,” Conrad said, and crushed me to him.
We kissed, and my insides melted. Any insecurities I had fled in the wake of his powerful love for me. Admitting I felt the same was scary, but so damn worth it. When our kiss slowed, Conrad pressed his forehead to mine and whispered words that made my heart swell like never before.
“I’ll be waiting for you at the altar, sweet Bella,” he murmured and kissed me one more time.
With tears glistening in my eyes, I turned to my besties/cousins.
“So, I know this is your wedding day, and I am sorry for crashing it, but I think it’s supposed to be ours. Promise you aren’t mad?”
“Mad? Are you kidding? This is the best thing ever. And I mean that literally. Let’s go get hitched, ladies!” Donny yelled.
“Yes, let’s,” Evie said. She took position in the middle, taking each of us with one hand on either side. “By the way, Jaxson told me the news,” She gushed. “I swear I am so embarrassed I didn’t realize I was pregnant before you all did!”
Donny and I giggled at that before we started towards the altar in a slow, steady march. Our men looked so damn good all dressed up, radiant smiles on each of their gorgeous faces. Midnight tolled by the time we reached them, and the Shifter Wanker herself stood in a long white robe to bless all three unions.
“Okay, so, I just got ordained like half hour ago, but it’s legal, so let’s do this. Quick version, I gotta fly back to Assjacket before my kids explode something,” Zelda said, looking gorgeous as ever.
“First up, Evie and Jax, do you promise to love, cherish, honor, and take care of each other for the rest of your lives?”
“Yes.”
“Yes.”
“Excellent. Got rings? Fabulous. Moving on,” Zelda continued unabashedly. “Donny and Ry. You two wanna be hitched?”
At their resounding yeses, the Shifter Wanker pronounced them married. Holy crap. This was it. Our turn.
“Bella and Conrad, I see this was last second, but that’s cool. Do the two of you promise to do all those things I already said? You know, be faithful, cherish, love, oh, and you gotta promise to deliver a dozen Undeath By Chocolate cupcakes to me at least once a month,” she added suspiciously.
“Um, okayyy,” I murmured.
“Yes, I promise to love, worship, cherish, and make sure we send you any goodies you like, Shifter Wanker, for as long as this beautiful witch is mine,” Conrad said.
Awwwww.
My heart felt so full, I could have exploded.
“Excellent! I now pronounce you three witches and Shifters, husbands and wives! Wait—you’re not married to everyone, just to your one mate—oh Goddess! I forked this up. Look, you get me, right? Does everyone get me?” she shouted.
“We get you.” I replied and giggled.
Afterwards, those who attended congratulated us, and all three couples, including me, walked over to cut the cake.
“Ready, my witchy?” Petyr asked.
I nodded, and the Domovyk clapped his hands, sending silver mist and sparkles into the sky as my masterpiece was unveiled. I gnawed my lower lip nervously until Donny and Evie both tackle-hugged me.
“Oh Bella, this is perfect!”
The cake was enormous enough to fill an entire table.
“I figured why go traditional, when we are anything but?”
“You made the entire town!” Evie gasped.
“And look at the toppers!” Donny exclaimed.
The cake was a 3D replica of Castor’s Corner, done in layers of decadent Devil’s food, carrot cake, and red velvet. Vanilla fondant and buttercream decorated every nook and cranny with each of our shops, mine and Donny’s, and City Hall, exaggerated in size, representing the three of us.
In the center was our clearing with a bonfire in the middle—yes, I cast a spell for an actually heatless flame to jazz things up. Around it were miniature replicas of me, Evie, and Donny. Beside us were our mates in human form, and behind them, their Shifter animals, wolf, bear, and python.
“It’s perfect, Bella. Just like you.”
Conrad nuzzled my neck, and I felt something cool slide onto my finger and stared as Conrad held my hand up to show me the beautiful gold band he just placed there.
“I thought plain would suit you for work,” he explained, and I was so touched I vaulted right into his arms. He caught me, of course.
Maybe leaps of faith were worth it after all.
“They are, sweetheart. And you can count on me to be there whenever you decide to jump. I will always catch you.”
“I’ll catch you too, Conrad,” I promised.
Marriage was a new adventure for me and my hungry python. I couldn’t wait to get started.
