Author's Note
Many years ago, I noticed I harboured a very strong aversion to incidents and circumstances which cause pain to women. My revulsion is fostered by a number of factors, that time and space will not permit me to expound. Each time I view statistics on domestic violence, my horror grows. But my disbelief at the fact that many African countries (at the time of writing this) do not consider violence against women important enough to legislate on, knows no bounds.
So, the decision to include domestic violence as a major theme in this novel, was as natural to me as breathing. My passion for the subject and my craft notwithstanding, there are some without whom Forever There For You would never have seen the light of day.
I owe thanks to the Word2Print team for the patience and constructive criticism throughout the process that helped the print version come about.
Also to Tania Li and Valentine Masi for being available, ready, willing streams of important information included in this book.
And to Francis Edem Etim. You're a truly incredible husband, and I love you more than I can put into words.
