All i want, p.25
All I Want, page 25
All I want is a room somewhere…
Why am I thinking Rapunzel? Where did that name come from?
Through a fog I hear Ben and Ted murmuring about our accident… increased intracranial pressure… swelling… disorientation…
I look at JD, but he won’t meet my eyes. He’s staring at Ben and Ted.
“Your wife’s a real hero,” says Dr. Fogel. Ted. “Her whole body took a hit in that crash, and then she got through the labor. With flying colors. She’ll be okay. She just needs some rest. My wife will give her something to help her sleep.”
Dr. Fogel comes closer. He holds out his arms.
“We’ll take the baby,” he says.
