Akra's Demons: Ravens Of War, page 21
He blinked, getting a look at Ichirou who had a stunned look. “Fuck, you are, too.” Balky lifted a hand to Ichirou’s cheek. Some might have thought it odd, him touching another male, but the three of them were still connected, their bodies still one within Akra.
Slowly, the gold began to disappear.
“Well shit. That’s not fair,” Akra mumbled.
Balky blinked once, twice, and a third time, happy as a motherfucker when Ichirou and Akra were back to their regular appearance. “Um, Akra, why are you mad?” His cock was semi-hard still.
Ichirou pulled out, waving his hand as he cleansed their Fated of his come. “I think our girl liked all the gold.”
Akra sat up quickly, swinging off of Balky, then gave a yip when he flipped her onto her back. “Female, you trying to break my dick?”
She blinked up at him. “Err, no, I like Mobi.”
Ichirou belted out a laugh, making Balky growl. “Who is Mobi?”
Akra looked between them. “Why your dick of course.”
He opened his mouth to respond, had a really great comeback. Only the sound of gagging had him jumping to his feet, a sword of fire appearing in his hand.
“No. No. No. I can’t handle this. I looked. Well, I had someone I trusted look. They said it was done. They assured me there was a golden something that wasn’t a golden shower.” Zeus held his hand over his stomach, making a gagging sound again. “Hera, can a God get sick?” he yelled with his face looking toward the ceiling.
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Balky asked.
Zeus looked at the male who’d spoken, then growled. “Are you serious? Put your dick away and for all that’s precious...put your Mobi...whatever. Clean up then come talk to me. You too,” he said with a glare toward Ichirou. He was going to hurt Malcolm King. His daughter didn’t need two mates. Nah, they were twins so surely being identical one was enough.
“Now, my love, calm down. I’m sure you and Malcolm just misunderstood one another.” Hera soothed.
“I asked that pup to look and see if our granddaughter was...indisposed. There is not enough therapy or eye bleach to unsee what I’ve seen between...” he gagged, his hand going to his stomach again. “Hera, I think I’m going to vomit. I think...I truly might be sick.”
“So to you, indisposed might mean something different to him. Or maybe he looked, and they were not doing, you know. However it only takes a moment, and then when you got there they were. One must learn to knock, my love.” Hera’s hand smoothed over his brow. Even though she wasn’t there, he could still feel it ghosting over him.
“To what do we owe this visit?” Balky asked, strolling in with a pair of loose pants on, wearing a scowl.
Zeus looked at the male. “I came to see how Akra was doing and wanted to invite all of you to visit. Hera and I both would like to spend some time with all of you.”
“Did that hurt?” Balky asked.
“What?”
“Admitting it was you who wanted as well as Hera instead of blaming Hera for things?” Balky asked.
Akra came in with Ichirou, slapping Balky on the arm. “Be nice. Hello, Zeus. Thank you for the offer. Um, we’d love to come up, some day. Not today, or tomorrow. We’re on honeymoonish.”
He took a deep breath before opening his mouth and demanding they come. “We were unaware of you, Akra.”
She nodded. “Are you saying if you’d known who I was, you’d have saved me yourself, instead of giving that job to another who fucked it up and made me almost human. Maybe then I wouldn’t have been killed, again?”
“There was more going on. I have seers. They tell me things, but not everything. Now knowing about you and Asteria, I understand more. Of course some might say you being Fated to Balky is wrong, but the fact that you had to die and be reborn was how it had to be. You see as it was, you being my granddaughter would’ve made Balky your uncle, even though he only has a bit of Cronus in him. Now, with the way things went, I believe Fate worked the way it did so that the three of you could be together.” He looked off to the side, unable to tell her he’d been told of another future along with two other scenarios. He’d ensured she survived the lightening the unborn twins had sent through her, but if he’d been the one to save her with his powers completely, she’d have killed Selena and the babies. That vision had been clear. The other future was a gamble, a future that gave her a chance. The other unknown was one he wasn’t willing to risk. Had he known she was his grandchild wouldn’t have changed his decision; it would’ve made his guilt come on earlier.
“Care to share?” Akra asked.
“I am sorry you were hurt, Akra. I would like to get to know you and have you and your mates be a part of our family. We are not perfect, but we are family. Olympus is always open to you and the other females.” He waited for her to say something, anything.
“You know, Papa, I have learned a few things. You can’t master your life, or everything in the world in a day. But you can master today. You can master what’s right here in front of you. Own it. Make it yours. That’s what I’m working on, mastering what’s right in front of me and making it my bitch.”
Zeus’s silver eyes narrowed. “So, I just put my mind to it, and I can master all that I see you say?”
Akra tossed her head back and laughed. “You can’t master a person.”
“I don’t like Papa. I think we should negotiate.” He crossed his arms over his chest, the shirt he wore was one humans sold with a large yellow smiley face on it.
“Alright, how about Zeusy?” she offered.
“I think you’re gonna cause me to have grey hair.” Before she could counter with something witty, he flashed to her, pulling her into his arms for a quick hug. “Papa is fine if that makes you happy.” His words were said low but since everyone in the room had supernatural hearing they would’ve heard.
“Thank you. We will be in touch.” She sucked in a deep breath. “Did you try to make me think Ackatrona was my mother?” she asked.
“No, never,” he denied. He’d recognized her eyes and had thought, foolishly there was a connection. Seers be damned.
“Good. I would’ve hated you for that.”
Zeus nodded. “Thank you. Take care of her and yourselves. If you need anything.” He opened his palm. A small round ball appeared. He tossed it into the air, letting it float. “This is for the three of you. Only you can use it to access Olympus, or to contact me. I’ll bid you farewell.” He looked at Balky, seeing a similar version of himself with purple eyes. “Take care of her.” Before he could say anything else, something that would be considered mushy, he flashed away, his heart heavy.
The demoness females’ trailer was quiet when he flashed inside. He counted heartbeats, unsurprised that they had the three male shifters as guards. What sounded like trains, only he knew were the males’ snoring, assured him they were sleeping soundly. He flashed to where Bakra and the others slept. The back of the trailer had been converted into one large bedroom. None of the demoness females slept alone. A fact he could understand after what they’d gone through. He wished they would allow him to wipe their memories and give them new ones, but they were adamant about keeping what made them, them. He understood, but at the same time, he wanted to make everything better.
“You’re silent, but I know you’re there.”
He shimmered into solid form, a little shocked at the husky voice. Although he shouldn’t have been. When he’d found out the demoness females had brought the young wolf to Olympus without permission, he’d only been slightly upset. Mostly because he’d been too busy with Selena and his Godnuggets, and then he’d been trying to find Akra and Asteria. Through their memories, he’d seen little Nita needed more help than a few decades on Earth would’ve given her.
“Good evening, Nita. Why’re you awake?” Zeus wasn’t going to ask how she was, knowing she was tired of getting that question.
“I felt a disturbance. Besides, do you hear the three freight trains in the other room?” she snorted.
Zeus tilted his head, then a second later, the noise was gone.
Nita jumped up; anger written all over her face. “Did you kill them?”
He didn’t let her see his amusement at having her five foot four frame poking him. “Why would you think that?”
She jabbed a finger in the direction of the living room. “They always snore unless they’re away or awake. Since I know they didn’t get up and leave, then that leaves only one option.”
He snorted. Why everyone thought he was such a bad guy, he didn’t know. It took him a moment to realize several females were awake and growling, but the smallest actually appeared the most deadly. Of course, none could hurt him, but it still was nice to see them all protecting each other, like a family. “Calm yourselves. I did not kill the pups. I just cured their snoring. I can give it back to them if you wish?” He raised his hand.
Little Nita jumped up, shocking him when she actually was able to reach his arm.
“Oh yeah, show him what monster puppy can do,” Bakra crowed.
“Monster puppy?” Zeus asked.
Bakra pointed at Nita who was hanging off of Zeus’s arm, her blue eyes glowing in the dark room. “Well, you see, it’s like this. Um, well.”
“Oh shut up. After we returned from our little foray in Olympus, Nita not only aged a wee bit, she also kinda got major wolfied. Like, she can go head-to-head with the big boys and come out on top.” Menka nodded her head like everyone agreed.
Zeus looked at the little female, then at the Amazon looking females. Instead of trying to figure out what they meant, he just looked in Nita’s mind. Sure enough, her wolf was that of myths. “Thank you, Nita,” he said, soothing her as he left her mind. “She’s not a monster. None of you are monsters. She’s a Dire Wolf. I’ve never heard of a female Dire before, but then again, she’s special, just like you all are.” He looked at Bakra first taking in her rapt stare before meeting each of the others gaze, finally settling his stare on Nita. He let out a sigh, wondering if the little female planned to continue to hang from his arm indefinitely. “Do you want to get down, or are you stuck?”
Nita retracted her claws, her little face twisted in a grimace at the holes she’d created in his arm. Luckily for her, they instantly healed. “I was scared to bleed you.” She dropped gracefully to the ground.
He looked around the room, meeting the look on all their faces with a stern stare. His granddaughter needed a purpose, and these females needed a leader. A smile tipped his lips. “Akra is a born leader. You females need her almost as much as she needs you. Reach out to her. She only needs to share a drop of her blood and all of you will have enough to survive what is to come. Trust in each other, and the strength you have within yourselves.”
Zeus sighed knowing he’d done all that he could. He opened his palm, a small round ball floated, then several more appeared. “Each of you have only need to reach out if you need a Raven. I know Jaklyn and my Ravens are here often, but you...will be on the move sometimes.”
The spheres floated to each female. “Call out and the closest Raven will find you.”
The next instant he found himself being hugged by the females who loved his granddaughter. For a moment, he pretended she was there as well, his heart feeling a loss he didn’t know it had. One day, he would feel her love. Until then, he’d wait and watch out for her and her people, for they were now his as well.
Zeus didn’t need fanfare or people lining up to throw him a party. In his mind you shouldn’t need applause when you show up to show the fuck up. Being present is enough of a reason to celebrate. Show up even when nobody knows you’re there. That’s when the ones you love know you care. That’s when the showing up without the need for applause or acknowledgement matters. If he had to show up for the next fifteen thousand years with nobody knowing, he’d do it, just to ensure those he loved were safe.

Thank You
THANK YOU FOR READING Akra’s Demons! I hope you loved it!
Did you fall in love with Akra, Ichirou and Balky? I completely adored Akra from the first time she appeared but had no clue the twists her book would take, nor did I know Balky was going to be who he was. Ichirou was a surprise too, but I can honestly say this book is one of my favorites and I hope you all love it half as much as I did. Of course Zeus was a huge part like always, but hopefully you get to see a side of him that gives you a bit more insight to him other than just the joking God, although he’s still there.
I know y’all are going to ask if there will be more, and the answer is—I would love to write the next, but at this moment I don’t have a definite answer. So I think you can see from the way this book ended there are a few possibilities. My hope is that lots of people love this series and give me a reason to continue. If not, know the Ravens and I love all who have enjoyed the journey so far <3
Now, I’d love to introduce you to my Royal Sons MC. This series is amazing and a little...okay, a lot different that the Ravens. It’s based off of real life scenarios or stories, ripped straight from the headlines. I’m pretty sure they’re not quite like any you’ve probably read. My MC is a group of bada** bikers, but you’ll hopefully love them. The president is the son of the former president, however, instead of running the club like his father did, with selling drugs, guns, and women...they decided to go a different route. Oh, they still have clubs and women and all the good stuff. Only now they work behind the scenes, using the knowledge they gained and taking money from rich and the not so rich, when human traffickers take loved ones and get them back for them. Their way of getting them back aren’t always legal, and bodies might pile up, but they get the job done, taking the cash they seize and call it a win. It’s a wild ride that I hope y’all enjoy. Royally Twisted is the first book, which is Tymber and Ivy’s story, a heartbreaking one where two damaged souls find love and happiness after...

Royally Twisted
“EVERYONE OUT,” KING said, his voice booming above the other sounds.
It wasn’t a hot night, but she swore her entire body had to be sweating from fear and adrenalin. She kept her eyes on Rooster and his wicked looking knife. The man was a lover of making his point with a blade. She shifted her focus to King, moving forward, her hand brushing Tymber’s. “I’m sorry,” she whispered.
“Alright, now that the only ones here are family.” King nodded, waiting until the entire MC club seemed to surround them.
Ivy thought they’d be somewhat safe since there were others around who weren’t fully patched members who’d brought their old ladies. She should have known King didn’t play by one set of rules. “King, it’s me you’re mad at. Let Tymber go and I’ll—” she licked her lips before continuing in a firm tone. “I’ll do whatever you ask of me, just don’t fuck with him.”
King gave a dry chuckle, sitting back down in his chair as if he didn’t have a care in the world. Tymber’s arms flexed, showing the muscles and strength he had within him. She didn’t doubt one bit he could take on any member of the Royal MC and probably win. However, he’d be taking on more than just one man.
“Sit, Ivy. We’ve things to discuss.” King tapped the table, expecting obedience.
“Look, King, I don’t know what the fuck is going on, but this shit ain’t cool,” Tymber growled.
Ivy turned to see what Rooster did to Tymber. There were rules in an MC. One of them being respect the President. Tymber’s little outburst could be deemed disrespectful. Her focus was ensnared by the man who she cared too much about. Within the club, the golden rule is that club comes first, loyalty and commitment to the wellbeing of the club is always first priority. This is never to be questioned. After club then comes the brothers and sisters, family, friends, job, personal possessions, and even personal safety.
“Ah, look at that, boys, she’s already replaced my brother,” King said. His voice that deadly quiet.
She’d only heard him use that tone when he was pissed or discussing club business. The fact he was allowing Tymber to stay while she and he had their talk wasn’t good. Nobody but club members were allowed when discussing anything club related.
“You know there’s two types of people in the world in my mind. There’s my brothers and sisters, and then there’s those who are a potential threat to our club. Which do you think your friend falls into, Ivy?” King let the silence linger, then he pointed to the chair again. “I suggest you sit down, little girl, unless you want to see my bad side come out.”
It took her seconds to do as he said, her heart pounded in her chest with fear and anger she was having to go through this. “Why?” she asked.
King sat back, his arms crossing over his chest, drawing her gaze to the cut he wore and the patch that marked him as President. “Let’s start by discussing why you’ve not answered my calls or texts for the past couple months.”
She tried to keep her hands from shaking as she placed them on the table. “I...I didn’t know what to say. I think you said it all at—” she swallowed the lump in her throat. “You said enough the last time we spoke. I figured it would be best if I removed myself from, everything.”
“When we took you in, I promised Luke I’d look out for you. You promised to look out for Luke. Seems we’re not keeping up to our promises. Want to tell me why?”
