Wrath of the Dragon 6, page 10
“Who lives there?” I asked.
“That’s Jack’s house,” Lumi called. “He likes a small, simple life when he’s not busy organizing our people.”
The blue trees eventually ended, and we passed over a vast area of pure ice. A sled pulled by drooling dogs raced over the surface carrying a bunch of wooden crates and one man who gripped the reins. He was clearly delivering goods from somewhere further inland, and I was glad to see there was no sign of demon attacks on him or his dogs.
“Here we are!” Lumi called. “You can see it just up ahead!”
A hectic flurry of movement lay a few yards away, and it became very clear why nobody had entered the temple in centuries.
The wind spun around in a circle so violently that the snow almost looked like a solid wall. It was impossible to see past the hurricane of sparkling white, and I could already feel the pull toward the great wind. There was no way any small being could survive getting sucked into that.
“Whoa,” Cyra said as we came to a halt. “That’s deadly!”
“Yes,” Lumi sighed. “My old god left it like this before he vanished. I suppose it was just one extra punishment for us. To make sure we never stepped foot inside his holy temple again.”
“Asshole,” I muttered as we eyed the storm.
“Do you think you could fly through it?” Fianna asked warily. “Maybe you should use one of your bigger bodies? The night dragon is quite slim.”
I studied the flurry of snow, and it was hard to say which of my dragon forms would be best for breaking through. Each one had its own abilities and strengths, but I didn’t want to risk injury before our battle.
“Maybe I could use my fire powers,” I said. “Has anyone tried melting the snow before?”
“We have.” Lumi nodded. “It didn’t work because the wind just constantly whips up more snow from the ground. But we didn’t have godly fire. Maybe that could make a difference?”
“I bet the hunter dragon could just cut through it,” Fianna said. “With those sharp scales, you could do anything…”
“The crystal dragon is also very fast,” Nisha said. “Maybe Ryan could fly so quickly that the wind won’t even affect him?”
“I’m going to get a bit closer,” I said. “Fire seems like the smartest choice to start with.”
I flew forward and focused on the fiery warmth that raged deep in my chest. My scales almost instantly shifted from midnight to gold as my body grew thicker and longer. Heat rose all over my frame as the fire dragon took control, and I roared as I moved closer to the violent snowstorm.
Then I unhinged my jaw to spit fire, but before I could the snowstorm suddenly fell still. I jolted with shock as the flurry of whiteness tumbled down like a curtain falling to reveal the biggest temple I had ever seen.
The structure was built from blue stone that glistened with flecks of silver. Four towers sat at each corner of the long rectangle, and the roof was open with silver gates around the perimeter to create a rooftop balcony. Each window was made of stained glass that showed scenes of snowy mountains and frozen lakes, and the doorway was pure silver ice.
“Whoa,” Lumi breathed as we stared at the temple. “It’s beautiful! Ryan, how did you do that?”
“I have no idea,” I said truthfully. “I was about to spit fire, but the wind just… stopped.”
“His godly presence can do anything,” Brooke squealed. “This trap must have been waiting for someone powerful enough to come along!”
“Amazing,” Lumi said as she shook her head in disbelief. “My people have wanted to visit this for so long.”
“Let’s explore,” Cyra said with a grin. “Hopefully this one isn’t full of awful traps and sharks.”
“Ewww,” Brooke wailed. “Don’t remind meeee!”
We flew down to the temple entrance, and I focused on my human form. My mighty body shrank down as wings vanished back into my spine. I looked up at the glowing blue stone and felt a sense of peace.
The temple radiated a strange energy that made me feel like I belonged there. As if it had been built just for me to eventually find, and maybe that was true. The prophecies did say I had been destined for this life.
I took a step up to the doorway, and the huge entrance swung open for me as if someone had been waiting on the other side. It was like a very eerie magic trick that I didn’t even know I could perform.
“Holy shit.” I grinned. “I feel like I’m carrying some kind of magic key.”
“Does it ever get tiring?” Cyra chuckled. “Being that powerful all the time?”
“Nah.” I grinned even wider as I sent her a wink. “It feels better every day.”
“Let’s go in!” Brooke said as she grabbed my arm and pulled me forward.
“We’re actually going inside the hidden temple…” Lumi said as she tugged a lilac curl. “This is unbelievable!”
We stepped inside and found ourselves in a huge corridor that sparkled with more blue stone. The floor had been covered with a purple carpet, and each stained-glass window made colors dance all over the fabric. There was a spiral staircase halfway down the corridor that led up to the next floor, and there were silver doors that ran along the hall to other rooms.
“Where should we even begin?” Lumi gasped.
“I want to see upstairs,” Nisha said. “That roof looked so beautiful, and I bet the view is amazing!”
We wandered down the hallway, and I was sure I could hear faint music drifting from somewhere. I craned my neck as I looked in each direction, but there was no sign of anyone but us in the long hallway.
“Can anyone else hear that?” I asked. “Or have I gone crazy?”
“That’s possible.” Cyra smirked. “But I can hear it.”
“Sounds like it’s coming from upstairs,” Ruby said as she glanced up at the ceiling.
I adjusted my rifle under my cloak to be ready for action as we approached the bottom of the stairs. The music sounded like pipes being blown to create low, haunting notes that carried through the temple.
“How could anyone be here?” Fianna frowned. “You said this place has been trapped since the gods left.”
“It has.” Lumi nodded. “That’s why it doesn’t make any sense…”
I took a step onto the silver stone and led the angels up to the next level. The stairs curled around and eventually opened onto the second floor which was yet another giant hall. This one had hundreds of snowflakes painted on the ceiling to create a whole puzzle of glistening whiteness. There was one small set of spiral stairs that led up again to the roof, but the music was coming from further down the hall.
“Stay close,” I muttered as I held my rifle. “Who knows what the fuck is waiting for us down there.”
We crept down the purple carpet to a doorway on our left, and the sound of whistling pipes grew louder. I took a breath as I pressed a hand on the door, and I nodded at the angels before I flung it open.
Lumi gasped as we were met with the view of a beautiful ceremony room. There was a podium made of silver ice that had been encrusted with purple amethyst. Unlit lanterns were hung all around, but the stained-glass windows let in plenty of bright sunlight. There were five ice pipes that sat below one of the windows, and they sang with music as the wind outside blew them.
I chuckled as I lowered my rifle and looked around the room.
“Awww!” Brooke sighed. “The temple is singing to us!”
“I love it,” Lumi said softly. “It’s been centuries since anyone has heard that sound. We’re the first in a very long time. Ryan, how can I ever thank you for bringing me here?”
“I have a few suggestions.” Cyra smirked, and Brooke nudged her.
“This would be the perfect place for my ceremony,” Lumi sighed. “If only I was able to become Elite…”
She looked up at me with no signs of embarrassment, and it became clear that she was very onboard with the whole idea. It still felt so bizarre to just think of binding as something that was expected, though.
Was she really happy to give herself to me after such a short amount of time?
The other angels all turned to inspect the pipes to hide their smirks, and Brooke barely stifled a giggle. Lumi rushed over to inspect the ice podium, and I followed her to speak with a bit more privacy. I wanted to make sure she really wanted this.
“Hey,” I said gently. “I know that the other angels told you–”
“Ryan!” Fianna screamed, and I spun around to see Nisha hovering over the ground without her wings moving.
My heart dropped as I raced over and remembered that this was what it looked like when the celestial beauties had a prophecy. The night angel’s eyes rolled back into her head and glowed a deep silver as her whole body twitched and trembled.
“She’s having a prophecy,” Ruby breathed as she put a hand on Fianna’s shoulder. “It looks awful, but it’s just part of the process.”
“Yeah,” I said. “Don’t worry. She’s going to be fine.”
I said it to comfort myself just as much as the others. Nisha’s trembling frame made my heart ache, but I knew we had to let her see whatever it was that she was supposed to see.
Brooke sniffed as she shuffled closer to me, and I put an arm around her shoulders as we watched the night angel. Lumi’s beautiful face was frozen with horror, and I reached out my other hand to her. She gratefully took it and squeezed tightly as Nisha slowly opened her mouth.
“The dragon god will lead Dracoria to victory…” she began in a hauntingly deep voice, “only with all eight of his initial dragon forms. Each of these forms will play a vital role in defeating the evil that has plagued our world.”
“Eight?” Cyra frowned.
“Should he draw from all eight, the dragon god will unite us all!” Nisha called as her voice seemed to resonate straight through the icy walls. “His eight forms will lead Dracoria into a new age!”
Then Nisha stopped trembling as she slowly lowered back down to the ground, and I rushed over to grab her. I put an arm around her slim waist as her silver eyes fluttered open and met mine.
“Ryan,” she breathed. “I… had a prophecy!”
“I know,” I said gently as I stroked her inky hair. “Are you okay?”
“Yes.” Nisha nodded. “It didn’t hurt, but it was very intense.”
She took a deep breath as she straightened herself up, and the other angels crowded around to stroke her hair and squeeze her arms.
“Why do prophecies have to look so fucking creepy?” Cyra shuddered. “I hate seeing you like that.”
“It was seriously scary,” Brooke said. “But Nisha loves creepy things! It’s very her style to be all levitating and horrifying and spoooooky.”
“True,” Cyra snorted. “Still, why can’t they just come to us in a peaceful dream?”
“You said Ryan would be victorious,” Ruby said as she stroked Nisha’s arm. “If he used all eight of his dragon forms.”
“Then he better get a move on.” Cyra grinned as she eyed the surrounding angels. “He still needs three more, by my count.”
“I don’t understand,” I said. “How am I supposed to…. meet three other angels before the war?”
“That does seem risky,” Fianna said. “Maybe we need to break the trapped angels out before we fight?”
“Surely that would start the war,” Cyra said with a shake of her head. “The queen would notice us flying over her border and breaking out her prisoners. Ryan won’t exactly have time to bind with new angels while all hell breaks loose on the battlefield.”
My head spun as I tried to work out what the hell I was supposed to do. Lumi was the obvious next candidate to bind with me, and I got the strong impression that she was open to the idea.
But this still left two more angels that I would need to find and sleep with before I could lead my people to war.
Did I have time to track down these mysterious angels? Could I win the battle if I didn’t find them in time?
“Ryan,” Lumi said. “Can I speak with you? About something important?”
“Of course,” I said as I snapped out of my thoughts. “What’s up?”
“We need to leave!” Brooke said suddenly as she grabbed Ruby’s hand. “I want to go and explore the rooftop!”
“As do I.” Ruby nodded vigorously. “Very much so.”
“I love roofs,” Fianna hummed with a smirk. “Let’s go.”
“Yup,” Cyra snorted. “Roofs are the most exciting part of a building. Besides, Nisha needs fresh air after her first prophecy…”
I raised an amused eyebrow as the angels marched toward the door, and Nisha shot me a sly grin.
“We’ll be exploring,” the night angel purred. “Come and find us when you’re done… talking.”
They closed the door behind them and left me standing alone with the beautiful frost angel. Lumi smiled up at me and sent a wave of heat coursing through my body. Holy crap she was gorgeous.
“I know it’s my destiny to bind with you,” she said softly. “After everything you’ve done for Dracoria, I couldn’t be more honored.”
Lumi took a step closer as her violet eyes didn’t leave mine.
“You’re already uniting our people,” she continued. “I didn’t think I would ever see that day. Now, you’ve unlocked the ancient temple that has sat empty for so long.”
“I didn’t do it alone,” I said and swallowed hard. “All of my angels have helped me. None of this would be possible if you hadn’t held your land together so well.”
“Thank you.” Lumi smiled. “The others told me all about the process of binding, and I wanted to ask you something.”
“Of course,” I said as my heart raced. “Anything.”
“Do you think it would be okay for us to do it?” Lumi asked quietly. “I know you haven’t known me for very long, and I don’t know if there are rules for that. But I feel such a calling to fully devote myself to you. It’s my destiny.”
I took a step that brought me close enough to feel Lumi’s perky breasts pressing against me as I stroked her cheek.
“That would be my honor,” I breathed. “I absolutely adore you, and I would love to have you as one of my angels.”
Lumi gasped as she spread her wings and flew up to meet my height. Then the petite frost angel flung her arms around my neck and planted her plump lips onto mine.
Her mouth tasted like frozen strawberries, and it felt so right to have her pressed up against me. My head spun with excitement and shock as I grabbed her tiny waist.
I was finally going to bind with the frost angel and win my next dragon form.
The prophecy was coming true.
Chapter 7
Lumi wrapped her legs around my waist as I held her against me and got lost in our kiss. Sparks flew through my mind as we made out, and the heat rose in my chest. Feeling her petite frame tightly against mine made my cock rock hard, and I groaned deeply as the frost angel clung to me.
“You really want this?” I grinned as I studied her beautiful face.
“Ryan,” Lumi giggled. “Are you joking? I’ve wanted to bind with you from the moment I learned about it. It’s my calling to be one of your angels.”
“Good,” I murmured as I kissed her neck. “Then we’re going to have a lot of fun.”
“The others told me all about it,” Lumi said eagerly. “Will I get to have one of the orgasms?”
“Fuck yeah,” I chuckled. “You have no idea all the pleasure that is about to come your way.”
“I can’t wait to find out,” she laughed. “Bring me an orgasm, dragon god!”
I spun Lumi around as I held onto her tiny frame and eyed up the worship room for the best spot. There was a throw blanket hung over a spare chair in the corner, and I grabbed it and laid it down on the purple carpet. Then I gently lowered Lumi so she stood looking up at me with her violet eyes wide.
“First of all,” I said. “We need to get out of these clothes so I can admire that beautiful body.”
Lumi bit her lip as I gently tugged the hem of her crop top and helped pull it over her head. I groaned at the sight of her pert breasts with baby blue areola and nipples. They fit perfectly in my hands as I rubbed them tenderly, and Lumi gasped at my touch.
“Does that feel nice?” I asked, and the frost angel nodded.
“I’ve never been touched like that before,” she whispered. “Oh, that feels so good. I love having you this close to me.”
I took some time playing with her nipples and kissing her beautiful chest. The frost angel’s adorable face lit up as I caressed her, and I couldn’t wait to see how perfect the rest of her body was.
Then I put my thumbs inside the waist of her tight pants and gently pulled. Lumi hurriedly wiggled free of the clothing and stepped out of the material to reveal herself to me. She had the faintest wisp of lilac hair covering her mound that was nestled so perfectly between her slim legs. Her petite curves glistened with icy tones, and she bit her lip as she studied my face.
“Do I look nice?” Lumi asked, and I almost choked.
“Nice?” I repeated as I stepped closer. “You look fucking unreal. I can’t believe how beautiful you are.”
I stepped closer and ran my hands down the tight dent in her waist. She moaned softly as I traced my fingers around to her back and cupped her peachy ass with a firm grip.
“The angels told me all the places you would touch me,” Lumi breathed. “Like down here.”
She gently ran her fingers over her mound, and I growled as I kissed her neck.
“That’s right,” I said. “Touching you there is how I give you orgasms. We’re going to explore all over our bodies, and I promise I’ll make you feel amazing.”
I slowly moved a hand along her toned stomach as the other one gently played with her tits. She was gorgeous, and I wanted to make sure she felt adored all throughout our binding session.
“Do I get to see your body?” Lumi asked with a cheeky grin. “I’ve heard how amazing you look.”
“Of course.” I smiled. “This won’t work otherwise. I just got distracted by how fucking hot you are.”
