I chuckle tiredly. “I’m right here, you know?”

Max moves from Caleb to kiss me, the same gentle kiss he gave me before. “I know, babe. I wanted you to hear it.”

I’m sure they both see the blush that works its way over my face.

Caleb pulls out of me with a groan and rolls beside me. He removes the condom, ties it and tosses it in the wastebasket by the bed. Max gets up and gets a cloth to clean up. After he cleans us up, he tosses the cloth on the nightstand and lays beside me. He pulls me close to him, laying my head on his chest. “How do you feel?”

I wiggle a little, pushing my ass back to Caleb’s hip. He chuckles, then turns until he’s spooning me and I stop moving. I like being curled up between them. “I feel great. I’ve never come like that before. I’ve never felt anything like that before.”

“Good. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Watching you two was…intense,” Max finishes after finding the right word.

“It felt intense,” Caleb says, running his hand along my thigh, back and forth with light fingers. It tickles, but I like it, so I don’t stop him. I just wiggle against him and he laughs, kissing my shoulder. “Gage, you’re so responsive to everything. It’s like, no matter where we touch you, it feels good. I can’t wait to learn your body even more.”

That makes me shiver. I can’t wait for him to learn my body either. Both of them. They just made me feel amazing. So free.

I slide closer to Max and pull Caleb closer to me, so there’s barely any room between any of us. “What happens when we get back? How are we going to do this? I know we can’t broadcast anything, but you two won’t go back to treating me how you did before, right?” I know I sound young and maybe even childish, but I don’t think I could stand it if they pretended like none of this happened.

Max scoffs. “That won’t happen, Gage. Not again. Not from me.”

Caleb nuzzles the nape of my neck. “I won’t be intentionally unkind to you. But if I snap like I usually do, let me know. I don’t want you to feel like this week didn’t mean anything. It did. It does. I know I can be short at work, so if I am, tell me. Okay?”

I nod, happy that we got that out of the way. I want us to continue to do this and the other stuff too. Talking, getting to know each other, going on…dates?

“Have we been dating this week?” I ask, joking, but wanting to know what they think.

Max shrugs and Caleb snickers. “I guess we have,” Max answers.

I like that answer. I like it more than I should. “We’ll date when we’re home too?”

It’s Caleb who answers. “Yes. I’m down to date the two of you.”

  Max hums in agreement.

I think the smile that stretches across my face is the biggest one yet.

  Chapter Sixteen

Waking up the next morning, I’m a little sad. For the past week, Max, Caleb and I have been in our own little world. Doing what we want, going where we want, being us. Together. I liked it. It was one of the best weeks of my life. Something I didn’t think I’d ever say concerning those two.

I don’t know what happened, what shift happened, but it seems like they…dote on me. Like, they like each other, are attracted to each other, but it’s me that’s the center of everything. They defer to what I want to do. It’s me who they want to give pleasure to first. My opinion on what we should do every day. It’s a little bewildering, but I can’t say I don’t like it. They make me feel special.

After our day spent in bed, we had a surprise visit from Mr. Bernard. Caleb’s entire face lit up when he saw the man, giving him a warm hug and a bright smile. It looks good on him. Jeanie left us a large dinner, one that we had no hope of finishing and we sat and listened to Mr. Bernard regale us with tales of Caleb as a kid. Although he looked irritated, Caleb’s eyes were always soft and kind when they landed on Mr. Bernard. He was a spry old man, jovial and full of life at seventy years old. He promised to visit us soon, bringing his wife for a mini vacation. That had Caleb smiling for the rest of the night.

That night, knowing it was our last night in our little bubble, we took our time getting each other off. We were all hands, tongues and lips, enjoying the feel of each other. We all knew this wasn’t the last time we were going to be together, but we had to get back to the real world, with work and people and eyes. Eyes everywhere. So while we could, we did everything we wanted while no one could see.

The next morning was busy. We didn’t pack anything the night before, so we had to scramble to make sure we didn’t forget anything. We didn’t have time to dwell on us leaving and going our separate ways when we landed. We just rushed to the airport, checked our bags and got through security with minutes to spare.

On the flight back, I sit beside Max, with Caleb across the aisle from us. He looks at us and rolls his eyes, saying, “Next time, we’re getting a private jet. I don’t like you two away from me.” That makes me bark a laugh, since there was literally only an aisle between us. Max and I keep our hands to ourselves, not because there are people around, but because we don’t want to leave Caleb out. We spend the flight talking about our time in Virginia, what we’re going to do when we get back and work.

When we land and get our bags, we walk to the garage in silence. I want to ask what now, but I’ve already posed that question. I would sound needy, and I think I’ve had enough of that after Caleb fucked me the way he did. I suppress a shiver thinking about it. I still can’t believe I let another man fuck me or how easy it was to come to the decision that I wanted him to. That I want Max to. I didn’t think I’d be a bottom, but here I am…a total bottom. I love it.

It takes me a minute to realize Caleb and Max are walking me to my car. I look around when I get to it, trying to find either one of theirs. “You guys need a ride home?” I ask.

Caleb shakes his head and presses my body against my car. “No. We rode together.” He plants a kiss on my lips that I feel throughout my entire body. He grips the back of my head and my waist, keeping me in place while he plunders my mouth.

When he’s had his fill, he separates from me, wiping at my bottom lip. Max soon takes his place, kissing me languidly, rolling his hips against my hard dick, making me moan and grip his back, pulling him in. He moves back with a chuckle, pecking me on the cheek. “Text when you get home?” he says to me. I nod. We agreed to start a group chat between the three of us, making it more convenient for us to talk and make plans.

“Good.” With one more kiss to my lips, they walk away, leaving me dazed and horny. I adjust my dick to a more comfortable position, and drive home, still thinking about the change of events from when we left.

I get home thirty minutes later and text the guys. They send me back a message, letting me know they got home as well. I miss them. I know it’s weird, since we just spent weeks together, but after being around them, enjoying their company, basking in their energy, I feel a little lonely. It sounds so sappy and clingy, but I can’t help it. It takes everything in me not to ask them to come over.

Instead, I call Candice and let her know I’m back. She tells me she’s on her way and hangs up before I can tell her I’m too tired for company. I don’t want to tell her no though. I haven’t seen my sister in almost four weeks. It’ll be good to see her face.

I order us some dinner and start to unpack my clothes. I almost forgot I got rid of most of my decorations and my house looks bare as fuck. I don’t mind though. I have time now to make my place how I want it…if I even want this place anymore. Sitting down on my bed, I look around and realize…I don’t. I don’t want to live here anymore. Too many memories of me and Joyce. And I don’t want to remember her. I have a few months left on my lease. If I didn’t waste so much money on the wedding, I would break it now, but I’ll let it run out. I’ll look for new apartments, or maybe buy a house. Something that’s only mine.

Ten minutes later, I hear a knock on my door. Smiling, I open it to see my baby sister. She’s only younger than me by four months, but I still call her my baby sister and she loves it.

She throws herself in my arms, like she hasn’t seen me in years instead of weeks. “Oh, Gage! I missed you!”

I laugh and squeeze her to me. “Missed you too, crazy girl.”

We walk in and she looks around, eyebrows raised. “Umm…did Joyce come and get her shit?”

I shake my head and we sit on the couch. “Nah. I got rid of it. I hated looking at all the stuff that didn’t belong to me. Didn’t fit me. So I trashed it right before I left.”

“Good fucking job!” she exclaims and gives me a high five. I chuckle at her antics. For all the years we were together, she never really liked Joyce. She tolerated her for my sake but wasn’t too thrilled she’d be a part of the family, so to speak.

“Thanks. Only thing left is to move out. I was thinking about buying.”

“That’s good, Gage. You’re finally getting out of the slump you were in. I’m happy to see it. You look good by the way. All bright-eyed. I thought you were going to come back a zombie after dealing with Mr. Newman.”

I flush, thinking about how he’s no longer Mr. Newman. He’s Caleb. And I know a lot about Caleb. How he looks when he’s happy. How he looks when he’s thinking, when he’s turned on, when he has his lips wrapped around my cock. When he orgasms. I shift in my seat, trying to stop those memories and my dick from getting hard.

Candice knows me too well. “What’s that look?” She sits forward and rolls her eyes over my face like I’m a puzzle.

“What look?” I feign ignorance, trying to figure out what I want to tell her.

  “Gage…”

  “Candice…” I mimic her tone.

“What happened? I need all the tea.”

I laugh at her and wipe my thumb over my eyebrow. What do I say? Do I say anything? Will Max and Caleb be mad at me if I do say something?

I open my mouth to answer her, not really knowing what I would say exactly when my phone goes off. Candice grabs it from the coffee table to hand it to me but bats my hand away when she reads the message. I’m not sure what it says, but her eyes go wide. She hands me my phone and crosses her arms over her chest, a look of ‘what the hell’ on her face. I look at my phone and want to smile and frown at the same time. It’s from Max. To our group chat.

Max: I can’t wait to wake up with you two again.

I keep my eyes on the phone for a bit, then raise them slowly to look at Candice. She waves her hand, indicating for me to start talking.

I sigh and lean back on the couch. “What do you want to know?”

She makes a sound in her throat, like she can’t believe I asked her that. “Ummm…everything. Why is Max wanting to wake up with you? Max, of all people! Joyce’s brother! And is he talking about Mr. Newman? What happened? I didn’t think you liked either one of them.”

Again, I sigh. She’s already seen the text, so there’s no reason to deny anything. She’s not stupid. The only reason Max would say he wanted to wake up with us again is if he went to sleep with us at some point. So, I don’t insult her intelligence. I tell her everything about my trip to Virginia. About the case, about Tyler, about the big win. How Max told me he didn’t like me because he wanted me, same with Caleb. About the night after the win, how I goaded Caleb, but I skip all the details. How, after that night, we hung out for the last week we were there and agreed to continue when we got home.

When I’m done, she’s sitting there with her mouth open, in utter disbelief. It’s almost like she doesn’t know what to say. She stutters over her words then sits back for a second, collecting her thoughts. I know it’s a lot. Hell, it was a lot for me and I lived it. I don’t rush her though. She has to wrap her mind around it, I guess.

“Are you gay?” she blurts and smacks her hand over her mouth. I laugh, relieved she didn’t judge me, and pull her hand down. No reason for her to be embarrassed. We’re family. She can ask me anything.

“No, not gay. I like women. And I like Caleb and Max. I find other men attractive, now that I actually look at them. So bi would fit better.”

She nods, looking off in the distance. “And, you don’t…mind…what’s happening? You’re not freaking out?”

I smirk, rubbing my hands together. “No, I’m not. It was a shock that I would actually like it. I was feeling an attraction to both of them the whole time we were in Virginia. By the time I accepted it, I wanted to explore it. It was scary, but we were drinking, so it made it easier to let myself go. After that, we were having too much fun for me to really think about it. I don’t mind it. I like it.”

Candice is looking at me like I’m a different person. I don’t know if it’s good or bad. “What about Joyce?”

Giving her a look, I ask, “What about her?”

  “I mean, you’re fucking her brother. You don’t think that’s a problem?”

“Nah, I don’t. We’re all grown adults. And she cheated and left me. She has no say in who I suck or fuck.”

Candice puts her hand over her mouth like she’s going to vomit. “Too much information, Gage.”

I snicker, grabbing her hand again. “Sorry. But seriously, I don’t feel bad or guilty about it. Max doesn’t, either. So, to me, there’s nothing to worry about.” I pull my knee under me and lay my head on the back of my couch. “He’s different than I thought, Candice. Caleb too. They have…depth. They’re smart, weirdly funny, attentive. Like the week before we came back, every day, they asked what I wanted to do and we had fun doing it. They really let me be me, ya know?”

I know I have a goofy smile on my face, but I had the best time with my two grumpy men.

“Oh my God, Gage. You’re infatuated. With two men.” Her voice has a hint of awe, like she can’t believe something like this could actually happen.

“I think so, yeah. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m going to go with it. I’m scared they’ll leave me when they realize that I’m just,” I pause, running my hand down my body, “me. But I’m going to do my best not to. You know?”

Of course she knows. Like me, she’s used to people leaving her. We stick together because we’re all we have. We know we’ll always have each other’s back.

“Don’t think like that,” she tells me, squeezing my hand. “I know it can be hard but try to let go and live in the now. And you’re amazing. They’re lucky to have you.” I laugh at that.

She’s right of course. I can’t stay in the past and live my life according to my abandonment issues. I have to pick myself up and go to therapy. I broach the topic with her.

“I’m going to go to therapy soon. As soon as I find a good one in my network. I think it’s time.”

Candice launches herself at me, squeezing me in her arms. “That’s so good. I’m proud of you. It works, it really does.”

For my sake, I hope she’s right.

We spend more time together, catching up and hanging out. It’s been so long since we’ve done this. While I’m sober anyway. I miss it. I miss my sister. We scarf dinner down while she fills me in on her week.

After she leaves, I text my men back.

Me: Same. When are we going to do it again?

A reply isn’t long in coming and I can’t help but laugh when I get not one, but two messages, back-to-back.

  Caleb: This weekend?

  Max: This weekend?

  Me: This weekend it is.

  Chapter Seventeen

When Monday rolls around, I’m nervous to go to work. I know Caleb and Max said they wouldn’t be rude to me anymore, but how will it go? Will they greet me in a familiar tone or will they pretend nothing happened? How will I act? I’d like to take my cues from them, just in case I’m reading the situation wrong.

After stepping off the elevator, I take a deep breath, and head to my shared office. I don’t run into anyone on the way and only Dustin is in the office when I walk in.

“Hey,” he says, putting his head back down to the paperwork on his desk after he greets me. “How was Virginia? That was a good win for us.”

I fight to keep the smile from my face. I don’t want to pretend I didn’t have a good time. I did. Obviously. I’m not sure what Max and Caleb want me to say or not to say, so I keep it short. “Virginia was nice. I had a good time.”

His eyes shoot over to mine, his expression incredulous. “Yeah? Mr. Newman wasn’t an ass? I figured he’d be worse with all the pressure he was under, with his frat brother and all.”

I shake my head. “He didn’t go easy on me, that’s for sure, but he wasn’t too bad. Nothing I can’t handle anyway.” That seems like a fair assessment. Everyone knows I’m the only one that would tolerate him or that could handle him. Now I know why.

Dustin nods, not suspecting anything. “Well, I know you had a lot to do with them winning the case. Good job, Gage.”

“Gage was very instrumental in our win,” I hear from behind me. I turn around to see Caleb leaning against the door jamb, looking at me with a humorous glint in his eyes. It takes everything in me not to lick my lips looking at him. He has on a navy blue suit that grips his shoulders and biceps. I’m surprised to see he’s not wearing a tie. He never goes without a tie. My eyes drift down to the open buttons, seeing the top of his pecs. I swallow roughly and look into his eyes again. His side smirk lets me know he knows exactly what I’m thinking.

“Good morning, sir,” Dustin hurries to say, probably nervous about Caleb being in our office and possibly hearing what he said. He never comes to our office. He usually calls me or Bridgett when he needs us to come to him for any tasks he has for us.

Caleb drags his eyes from mine and looks at Dustin. “Good morning, Mr. Pierce. Gage, a word?” He turns and walks to his office.

Dustin releases an audible breath. “Shit, Gage. What do you think he wants?”

I shrug, because I really don’t know. The work day technically hasn’t started yet. And belatedly, I realized he called me Gage. Not once, but twice. I wonder if Dustin will pick up on that. Especially since Caleb called him Mr. Pierce.
