part #3 of The Borderline Chronicles Series
This is what I get for marrying a writer . . .
“Damn it,” he complained, “I hate it when you make more sense than I do.” He gently lowered her to the ground and helped her re-fluff her dress, which was in fact already quite wrinkled. He strode to the door, then stopped at the sound of her voice.
“We’re breaking that record if it takes all night, Mr. Saint.”
He pointed at her, and she pointed back. She turned to the mirror to fix her makeup, and he lingered, watching her. Despite the fact that he hadn’t gotten into the closet with her, he somehow felt even luckier than if he had.
Thank you for reading my book!
Saint bought himself a very special Christmas present (who deserves it more? He’s been a very good boy this year), and the only person he wants to share it with is Brooke. Brooke, however, has other ideas. You can grab this free bonus story The Motorcycle when you sign up for my monthly newsletter, The West Wind. Whether you loved it or thought it was a dud,
Please leave a review and inform all your buds.
Was Saint extra swoony? Did Brooke make you laugh?
Don’t write a novel, just a short paragraph.
Give it some stars that you think fit just right,
And new readers will find it a welcome sight!
Yeah, I’m a novelist, not a poet...but seriously, like all small businesses, reviews and social proof help introduce new readers to my work, which means I can keep writing more books. A review of any length on your favorite platform would be much appreciated.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
With gratitude to my sweet family, who challenges me and loves me even when I’m being a jerk. Even when I’m a bigger jerk than my main characters.
Thanks to Rhonda Merwarth, my editor. Your insights were helpful and kind, and that’s a rare combination.
Thanks to Steven Novak, my awesome cover artist. Thank you for being so patient with my indecision.
Thanks to my writing group, Ruth and Magalie. Your conversations and insights keep my creative juices flowing! (Is that weird? That’s probably weird.)
Thanks to my critique partners, Angela Boord and Rebecca Hopkins, and my beta readers, Christine, Liz and Erin. Your help is invaluable! I wish I had some way to repay your kindness...other than free books, of course.
Thanks to my sensitivity reader, Sachiko Burton with Salt and Sage Books. Thanks for helping me see the work from another perspective!
