Backing Down, page 10
Kate’s breath stuttered.
Oh. Evan’s movements as he fellated me had stimulated her again.
She placed a hand on his back and panted out another orgasm.
Multi-orgasmic. Good to know.
I planned to make use of that knowledge in the near future.
Chapter Nine
Kate
Where I expected awkwardness…I wasn’t wrong.
I stood there, with a two-headed dildo in my vagina, while Evan was prostrate before me on the bench, totally spent, with the other half of the dildo still stuck up his ass.
And Dante looked at me through those fathomless dark-brown eyes. Totally unreadable.
Only then, did I realize my left nipple had escaped my demi-cup and stood erect in the slight chill of the room.
Dante licked his lips.
Oh, no, buddy, you’re not getting anywhere near me.
Much as I wanted him to. Imagining him at my breast, teasing my nipple with his teeth—sucking, licking, biting—
Whoa. Just put an end to that thought.
Yet my vagina contracted at the flood of pleasure the thought brought.
Jesus Fucking Christ, I need to get out of here.
“I’m pulling out, Evan.”
“Yes, Mistress.”
Gentle as could be, I eased from him with a pop. Lots of lube helped.
Evan sighed.
My body ached. All I managed was, “I need a shower.”
“Of course.” Dante glanced down at my obvious issue.
“You could turn away,” I snapped.
“Aftercare,” he said in that annoying soothing-yet-knowing tone.
Oh fuck.
“I’m fine.” Evan pushed off the bench, wobbled, then righted himself.
“You like cuddles,” Dante countered.
The thought of the three of us in the bed was more than my mind could handle. Heedless of the discomfort, I stalked over to the table and undid the harness.
“You need a hand?”
No missing the humor in Dante’s voice.
“No,” I said through gritted teeth. “You take care of Evan, and I’ll take care of myself.”
“Aftercare goes both ways.” Again, with the soothing, almost melodic voice.
Fuck off.
Yet I’d never voice my frustration. I eased the dildo from my body and placed it on a towel. Lube dripped down my thigh. “I’m going to have a shower. Whether you’re here or not when I come back is up to you.”
“Do you want us to be here?”
I glanced up to meet Dante’s gaze, wary of his soft tone.
Yes. No. I don’t fucking know.
“Suit yourself. I have to go.” I grabbed a robe from the hook, managed to put it on with as much dignity as I could muster, and fled the room. To my utter relief, both the hallway and the shower room were empty.
I rarely luxuriated in the shower—I was always in a hurry. My work demanded a lot of me. Today, though, I lingered. Silently, I prayed the men would be gone when I returned. Then I hoped they’d stayed and would be cuddled on the bed. I could crawl in with them, they’d make a Kate sandwich, and—
Oh, my fucking Lord, just stop.
There was no happy ending here. There would only be heartache when things don’t work out. When someone did something, or said something, or something was misunderstood—
Or it could turn out brilliantly. The ménage you’ve dreamed of since the first time you played with Dante.
Got fucked by Dante, I corrected my inner cynic.
She and I had been at loggerheads since Friday night when the whole rival stand-off thing started. She wanted me to battle Dante for Evan. To take him down a peg or three. To come out on top.
Meek Kathy wanted nothing to do with that shit and was ready to give up being a Domme entirely.
Fuck that shit.
Be strong. I am woman. I will survive. Show no weakness. Unsheathe these claws and fight for what you want.
Rawr.
That might’ve come out as a whimper, as I washed myself. Holy fuck, was I sore. Sore in all the right places and it all the right ways, but definitely achy. Yeah, I’d be feeling this for a few days. A reminder I needed to do more Kegels. Hadn’t had much use for pelvic muscle tightening of late.
You need to get laid.
Dante? Evan? Both.
Yum.
No.
Well…
No.
Fighting over Evan was one thing—surrendering body and soul to Dante was something entirely different.
As I exited the shower and grabbed a towel, I noticed my purse as well as all my equipment—carefully cleaned.
My first instinct was Evan. He’d do something kind and generous like this.
My second thought was it might be Dante. As a top, he’d respect the equipment.
Maybe the two of them together?
Another possibility.
They were also offering me a way out. Undoubtedly, they wouldn’t be in sight as I made my way out of the club. And given we’d been in there almost two hours, I had no question that the club would be empty as well.
My phone buzzed.
I yanked it out of my purse.
—Café Medina. We’re holding a table—
Kimberly.
Obviously, she and Lisa.
And since Medina closed at three, and the time read one-thirty, I had to get my ass in gear.
Along with my toys and purse, my jeans, boots, underwear, and bra sat in a nice pile. My blouse hung on a hanger.
They’ve thought of everything.
I had no doubt this had been a dual effort. Both men working together.
Another buzz.
—Let’s talk tonight—
Dante.
What did we have to talk about? It’d been a onetime thing. Over. Finished. Finito.
Yeah, so you tell yourself.
I dressed quickly, using the travel-size deodorant I kept in my purse. I didn’t have gel to tame my curls, so I quickly braided my hair down my back and tied it with a hair elastic.
Within just a few minutes, I was out the door and headed to Richmond Street.
Ten minutes after that, I caught Lisa waving frantically when she spotted me at the entrance.
I gave the host a little shrug.
The guy smiled.
I wove my way through the crowded café. To my relief, only Lisa and Kimberly were waiting.
Part of me wondered if they’d bring their men as well. That would’ve been more than I could’ve handled.
I’d barely sat before Lisa pounced.
“Okay, so what the fuck happened?”
I glanced around at the various patrons who sat at the surrounding tables. To my relief, no one appeared to have heard us.
The café buzzed with activity—every table full and several parties waiting at the door. “Busy place.”
“Always is.” Kimberly waved me off. “So…spill.”
“Would you like a drink?”
I turned to find a lovely young woman with tanned skin, bright-brown eyes, and a huge smile.
“Just coffee, thank you.”
“And she’ll have a mini-waffle.” Lisa nudged me. “She’s been very physically active.”
Heat flamed my cheeks.
The server bobbed her head, then took off.
“Goddamnit, Lisa, knock it off.”
“Oh, so you just talked.” Kimberly saluted me with a glass of some kind of alcohol.
“You know alcohol is a carcinogen, right?”
She gave me that duh look. “No more than eating red meat. Or is it less…” She reached for her phone.
Lisa stilled her hand. “We’ll cut back to one a week. Next week.” She pivoted her gaze back to me. “Now…spill…”
The heat in my cheeks didn’t lessen.
“Oh my God.” Kimberly squealed.
This time, the older couple at the next table looked over. The woman leaned in, “You look like those gals on that show. You know, the one set in New York City? All dressed up and looking chic.”
I felt plain compared to my companions. Lisa had worn a tight-fitting floral blue dress with a knit sweater. Kimberly wore a silver lamé blouse with wide-legged black knit trousers and a thick belt. Her black bolero jacket hung over her chair.
My plain blue blouse, black jeans, and jean jacket didn’t compare.
Kimberly caught my eye, winked, then turned to the couple. “You’re so charming. We’re just celebrating our friend here.”
Earth, swallow me up.
Please.
“Oh?” The gentleman, with a shock of gray hair and a suit that looked entirely too fussy for a holiday Monday offered us a wide grin.
“Yeah, Kathy here just got lucky.”
I kicked her under the table.
She guffawed.
Lisa giggled.
The older couple looked entirely too amused and way too interested.
The server returned with my coffee.
“Can I get this to-go? I’m leaving—”
“Sit.” Lisa said the word in her no-nonsense Domme voice.
I was of half a mind to ignore her and just walk out.
She could afford to pay for the coffee.
“That’s lovely,” the older woman said. “We’ll leave you to it.”
Not a moment too soon.
Before I could move, though, Kimberly had milk added to my coffee. “What happened?”
“Uh…” I sipped the coffee. A little too hot for my taste—I always asked for children’s temperature—but I couldn’t stall forever. “We, uh, did a scene.”
Lisa wiggled her butt in happiness.
So very un-Lisa-like.
“It’s not that big of a deal.” I had to try, right?
“Oh, tell yourself that, if it makes you feel better.” Kimberly’s eyes sparkled. “Just like I told myself I was okay with seeing my guys twice a year while we lived in three different countries.” She tapped her ceramic mug with a fingernail. “But delusions don’t keep you warm at night.”
She’s right. Of course she’s right.
“MacKenzie submits to you. Joaquin, despite having some Dom tendencies, submits to you.”
Kimberly cocked her head. “So that’s what this is really about? That you want Dante to submit to you?”
“Yes…no…I don’t know…” I tried to keep the exasperation from my voice. “Things are so complicated. I want Evan. And I want Dante. But in two unique ways.”
“Are you saying you want to dominate Evan but be in a vanilla relationship with Dante?” Lisa wrinkled her nose. “How would that even work?”
“People do it all the time.” Kimberly rolled her eyes. “You remember Joanne and her guys, right? Cameron was not a submissive—but they made it work.”
“Didn’t Luis submit to both of them?” Lisa frowned, as if trying to remember. “They have…peculiar styles…”
“They never co-topped,” Kimberly confirmed. “They took turns and, in the end, also had other submissives. They kept going until Joanne got cancer, right? Then the guys just took care of her.”
“How’s she doing?” I felt bad, I hadn’t asked recently.
“Remission.” She popped a mouthful of something in her mouth.
“Still weak,” Lisa continued, “but getting stronger. I’m hoping she’ll eventually come back to the club—even if only to watch.”
Have to call her and see how she’s doing.
So many things to do. No vet emergencies in the last three days, though, so I was grateful for that. Juniper, the needle-swallowing kitty, was doing just fine.
Kimberly waved away that part of the conversation. “Okay, so we’ve proven to you that two Dominants can be in a relationship.”
I wasn’t entirely certain she’d made the point, but I also knew that when she was on a tear, interrupting was dangerous to my health.
“Have you thought about what it would take to make you feel like an equal in the relationship?” Lisa’s eyes narrowed. “Or is it because Dante got to Evan first that you’ll never feel like equals.”
“Of course she’ll feel like an equal.” Kimberly eased back, eyeing me speculatively. “She has to top Dante.”
I sputtered my sip of coffee.
Lisa sat up straighter. “You’re right. Just once, mind.” She gave me the same look. “But, just once, he has to submit to you. To agree to everything you want.”
“Do you honestly think Dante would do that? For any reason? That’s not in his nature. And, as you know, fighting against your nature never works.”
Kimberly pursed her lips. “I disagree.”
“So you’d submit to Joaquin?”
She blinked. “Well—”
I pivoted my attention to Lisa. “And you’d submit to Grant?”
“He’ll never—”
“Right.” I slapped my hand on the table. “That’s the point. He’d never. You’d never. Because it’d feel so wrong. Me topping Dante doesn’t feel right.”
“Doesn’t feel right because you know it’d be against his nature, or doesn’t feel right because you’d wonder if he was truly submitting to you?”
“Both…neither…” I blew out a breath. “I just don’t know.”
Kimberly took my hand. “If Joaquin asked me to submit to him, and we had a long discussion and he provided me with a compelling reason, then I probably would. He’s the consummate switch—happy to top MacKenzie and happy to have me top him.”
“Are you suggesting I should try to be the switch? Submit to Dante and top Evan?”
Both women shook their heads.
“Oh hell, no.” Lisa’s hair shimmered as she shook her head.
“Right,” Kimberly added. “Unless…”
“Unless,” I prompted.
“Unless you wanted to. I mean, have you ever tried?”
“Once, guy in university, complete disaster I never want to talk about.” I’d held off any dating after that until I’d been established in my job and able to focus on my personal life. I’d only dated submissives since then.
“It’s a hard no?” Lisa sipped her coffee.
“Because that’s okay,” Kimberly added. “You just need to be clear what you’d be walking away from.”
“Or what you might be gaining.” After a moment, Lisa bit her lip. “Or you could top Dante. If he submits—just this once—then you’ll know he’s the one. And that you can make it work.”
“Dante will never submit to me. Ever.”
“Are you sure?” Kimberly pushed the waffle toward me.
I hadn’t even seen the server bringing it.
“Because I saw the way he looked at you, Kathy. Or, rather, the way he looked at Mistress Kate. He wants you, honey. Like, virtually salivating.”
“Because I’m the one who got away.” I added a touch of syrup and cut a small piece of waffle. My stomach rumbled, complaining I’d barely eaten brunch and had then done a full scene with my guys.
Not my guys.
No, but they could be…
That thought tantalized. Dante’s text of needing to talk burned curiosity within me. If he was blowing me off, we’d never need to talk again, right?
“And, for the last time…” Kimberly sighed dramatically. “Evan is not Frankie. Evan’s a special young man who’s looking for the right Dominant. Hell, maybe he’s been lucky enough to find two.”
Right Dominants?
We’ll see.
Top Dante?
Something to consider.
Chapter Ten
Evan
As I sat in Library Square Pub in a booth with Grant, Joaquin, and MacKenzie, I tried to put on a brave face.
“Spill.” Grant, although not the eldest of us, often took the role of elder statesman.
“Yes.” MacKenzie, who was almost ten years Grant’s senior, and twenty years mine, offered me a kind smile. “You look like you need to share.”
His Texas drawl always gave me little heart palpitations.
“I agree.” Joaquin’s Argentinian accent wasn’t quite as strong as when he’d first arrived in Canada two years ago. He waved the server over. “Uh, four craft beers.”
“Pale ale?” The guy had broad shoulders, narrow hips, biceps to die for, and the most adorable accent.
Bet he makes a lot in tips.
“That’d be great.” MacKenzie glanced around for any disagreement.
He found none.
The server nodded. “Food?”
“Nachos, breaded shrimp, three orders of chicken wings and…” Joaquin frowned.
“Salad,” Grant supplied. “With Thousand Island dressing.”
I tried not to scrunch my nose. I didn’t feel like eating healthy. I wanted to drown myself in calories and misery. So far away from the omelet I’d never gotten to eat. After no breakfast, and the workout I’d just endured, I was famished.
Another nod and the server headed back to the bar.
Four pairs of eyes watched his ass.
Well, possibly not Grant. He didn’t swing both ways. Although he could admire the male physique, he was all about a petite lady with long black hair and stunning blue eyes.
Joaquin and MacKenzie were firmly in the bisexual camp. And although they were all about a sexy blonde with green eyes that contained the most magnificent flecks of gold, they were also very much about each other. The triad didn’t come to the club often—once or twice a month—but they always put on a damn magnificent show.
Mistress Kimberly had retired from her other submissives.
Mistress Miranda still had a bevy of clients. She’d fit me in now and again. For play only.
I didn’t mind. I’d take anything I could get.
But what I wanted was Dante and Kate.
MacKenzie slung an arm over my shoulder. Not in a bro-hug way, but in a protective gesture that felt oddly endearing.
I wasn’t as tall as the Texan, or as wide, but I could give his muscles a run for their money.
The comfort he offered was appreciated. I took a deep breath. "I hate it when Mummy and Daddy fight. If I'm a good little boy, perhaps they can both love me?"
