Owen felt like it was time for him to get some touching in. As his lips brushed against Beau’s, he reached down and caressed Beau’s erection, feeling how hard he already was. He tore at Beau’s button and zipper on his pants so that he could slip his hand under the waist of his briefs and jeans to wrap his fingers around Beau’s cock.

Beau let out a faint groan, pushing his hips up against Owen’s hand.

Owen stroked him slowly, his body heating up more and more. He could hardly take it anymore. He wanted all of Beau so badly.

“I need you,” he breathed out, twisting his hand around the head of Beau’s cock.

Beau dragged Owen’s bottom lip through his teeth before pulling back. He stripped off his shirt before flipping Owen onto his stomach. He leaned down near Owen’s ear.

“Take off your clothes,” he murmured before drawing away to strip off the rest of his clothes. He then leaned over to grab a small bottle of lube from his nightstand drawer.

Owen hadn’t obeyed an order so quickly before in his life. He took off all his clothes, aching to feel Beau’s skin against his. He soon felt Beau’s hand on the back of his neck, guiding him onto his hands and knees.

Beau coated two fingers with lube before using them to circle Owen’s entrance. He rested his other hand on one side of Owen’s ass, squeezing appreciatively. He pushed one finger inside, feeling Owen tense.

“Relax,” he said, rubbing Owen’s lower back.

Owen let out a slow breath, feeling Beau press in another finger. The tension started to fade as Beau slowly thrust his fingers in and out of him. Hot pleasure started to take over his entire body, helping him relax. By the time Owen had three fingers inside of him, his arms were nearly shaking from bliss.

  “No more teasing,” he pleaded.

Beau smiled to himself as he removed his fingers. He stroked himself a few times, slicking lube up and down his cock before pushing inside of Owen slowly. He dropped his head back, breathing in sharply at the feeling.

  “Oh… fuck…” he breathed out.

Owen tensed at first, but he felt Beau’s hand slide up his back, helping him relax. As Beau started to slowly and lightly thrust into him, the pleasure flooded back to him. He lowered his head, closing his eyes as he reveled in the pressure that felt so euphoric.

“Beau…” he nearly whimpered, overcome by pleasure.

Beau placed his hand on the back of Owen’s neck, gripping Owen’s hip with the other hand. He started to speed up his movements, thrusting into Owen deeper and harder. Faint moans and pants broke from him as he watched his cock disappear inside of Owen.

“You feel so good,” he murmured.

“You too,” Owen managed to moan out. His thoughts were hazy and broken up, unable to be pieced together. All he knew was that this was the most bliss he had ever felt. He took it all in, feeling himself pulse as he got closer and closer to the edge.

Beau tightened his grip on Owen, rocking into him over and over. Neither of them was going to last long. It felt too good, too hot. Pressure and heat lit them aflame, and they raced toward their orgasms. He reached around and stroked Owen in time with his thrusts.

Owen’s arms nearly gave out, already shaking. He felt his cock throb a few times before he came hard, his arms finally crumbling. His front half rested against the bed as Beau held onto his hips, keeping him steady as he managed a few more thrusts.

Beau finished with a groan, nearly wilting over Owen’s back as he caught his breath. His fingertips rubbed gentle circles against Owen’s sides as they breathed together, coming down from the high. He then leaned down and kissed the back of Owen’s neck.

“Are you okay?” he chuckled, feeling Owen tremble beneath him.

Owen nodded wordlessly, his body tingling all over. Once Beau rolled off him, he managed to flop onto his back. He turned his head to peer at Beau, a smile crossing his lips.

“Wow,” he sighed out blissfully, unable to think of another word that adequately described their time together.

Beau laughed and took Owen’s hand, twining their fingers together.

“Wow,” he agreed, his face slightly flushed.

There were so many things that Owen wanted to say right then and there. He wanted to admit his feelings, his secrets. He wanted to spill everything, but the words stayed caught in his throat. All he could do was gaze at Beau and hope that he didn’t lose him.

  CHAPTER 11

  Owen

Sunlight seemed to float through the windows in Beau’s bedroom, illuminating the quiet space as Owen and Beau lay in bed together. They dozed quietly with Owen resting his head on Beau’s bare chest. Only two days were left out of the two weeks. They had taken advantage of every single day that was left, spending as much time together as possible. Sooner than they expected, things would come to an end.

Owen stirred slightly when he heard noise from somewhere in the penthouse. He rubbed his eyes sleepily, figuring it was Derek heading to the bathroom. He had no intentions of getting up right now. He just wanted to lie with Beau and sleep the early part of the morning away.

He hadn’t told Beau what he wanted to tell him, but he would find the right time soon. For now, he wanted to enjoy this moment, to revel in the peace and warmth of being with Beau. It was paradise, and he never wanted to leave, to be woken up from this dream.

“Beau!” an unfamiliar woman’s voice sounded outside the bedroom.

Before Beau and Owen could even move, the door was pushed open, and a woman with blonde hair stepped inside. She stopped in her tracks at the sight of Beau and Owen in bed together, her eyes widening in shock.

“Woah!” she gasped out, covering her eyes and turning away. “Really, Beau?”

Beau shot up in bed, pulling the sheets up to make sure his lower half was covered.

“Mandy! What are you doing here?” he asked her.

“I’m coming to get my son. Did you seriously bring a man home with Derek here?” Mandy replied bitterly as she dropped her hand. She narrowed her eyes at her brother.

“I didn’t bring him home… he’s the babysitter I hired to help me with Derek when you left,” Beau said, glancing over at Owen, who was horrified at what was happening right now.

“Are you serious?” Mandy snapped at him, crossing her arms over her chest. She looked over at Owen. “Doing a good job of watching my kid.”

Owen wanted to shrink into himself and disappear. He didn’t expect to be caught in bed by Beau’s sister. She wasn’t supposed to be back for another two days.

“Mandy, calm down,” Beau sighed as he leaned to the side to snatch his sleep shorts off the floor.

“Calm down? He’s supposed to be watching Derek, but he’s in bed with you? How can I trust someone like that?” Mandy bit out, her face reddening from frustration. “And I’m shocked you’re like this, Beau, especially after what happened to you.”

“Don’t go there,” Beau retorted as he pulled on his shorts. He got out of bed, while Owen was still frozen under the sheets. “Derek was perfectly fine with us.”

“I bet you’ll defend your little boyfriend,” Mandy scoffed, shaking her head. She then glared at Owen. “I’ll be filing a complaint with your agency. No employee of theirs should act this unprofessional.”

Owen was sure that the color drained from his face. He didn’t want Luke to get in trouble. That was why he helped Luke out in the first place. With only two days left, he thought that he could get through this without anything terrible happening.

“What’s your name and agency?” Mandy asked as she took out her phone, ready to type the information into her notes app.

Owen didn’t say anything, feeling the words sticking in his throat. He didn’t want to say Luke’s name or his name. If he said his own name, Beau would find out that he lied, and he really didn’t want to have to deal with that conversation right now when Mandy was about to bite his head off.

“Tell me, Beau,” Mandy snapped at her brother.

Beau sighed and rolled his eyes. He glanced over at Owen.

“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you’re fine,” he said quietly before turning back to Mandy. “His name is Luke Smith. He works for Elite Nannies Agency.”

Mandy stared at Beau in confusion.

“Did you say Luke Smith?” she asked him.

  Beau nodded.

Mandy looked over at Owen and shook her head.

“He can’t be Luke Smith from Elite Nannies Agency because that’s my boyfriend,” she replied, making shocked silence fill the room.

Owen couldn’t breathe as he looked over at Beau, who looked hurt and confused. He didn’t want Beau to find out this way! This wasn’t supposed to happen. He couldn’t believe the terrible luck that he was having right now. Of course, Mandy was the girl that Luke hooked up with and stayed on the island with. It just had to be her.

“Beau,” he said as he scrambled out of bed, tugging on his flannel pajama pants.

Beau took a step back, looking almost dazed. He shook his head in disbelief.

“Are you sure?” he asked Mandy, trying to hold on to the last traces of hope he had left.

“I know my own boyfriend, and he isn’t him,” Mandy replied as she gave Owen a pointed look. “He lied to you about who he is.”

Owen felt his eyes burn as his throat grew tight. He was petrified of losing Beau, of never being able to see Derek again. He had grown so close to them, and he was wrong for lying, but he never meant for anyone to get hurt. He was just trying to help a friend.

“I’ll prove it,” Mandy added before leaving the room.

Owen looked over at Beau, who was silent. He seemed completely numb and emotionless, which broke Owen’s heart. He never wanted to make Beau upset. He had gone through so much in his life, and all that Owen wanted to do was care for him.

“I can explain,” Owen said, needing Beau to know that he meant him no harm. It was just a huge misunderstanding, a huge mistake.

Beau didn’t say anything, merely staring at the door as he heard two sets of footsteps approach the bedroom.

Mandy stormed into the room, dragging Luke behind her by the shirt sleeve. She nearly pushed him in front of her, gesturing between him and Owen.

“This is the real Luke,” she announced.

Beau stared at Luke like he was analyzing him.

Luke looked over at Owen with wide eyes. He looked as wary as Owen did, and all they could do was stare at each other in shock.

Owen couldn’t believe how all of their worlds collided. It felt like some twisted joke, and he didn’t think that it was funny in the slightest. His entire world had been rocked the moment Mandy stepped into it.

“Well?” Mandy demanded an answer from either of them.

There was nothing left for Owen to do but confess everything. He had been backed into a corner, and he knew that Luke wasn’t going to say anything, even if he was the start of it all. It was down to Owen, and all he could do was get this terrible moment over with and hope that he didn’t lose everything.

  “I’ll explain everything.”

  CHAPTER 12

  Beau

A ringing noise filled Beau’s head as he looked at who he thought was Luke. He didn’t even know who he was looking at. It was like he had been sharing his bed with a stranger, and it made his stomach twist. Honestly, he was afraid of throwing up at this point.

“Who are you?” Beau asked. His voice sounded muffled even to himself, and he was surprised that he managed to get the words out.

“My name is Owen Franklin,” the man said, looking as wary as he could be. He looked like he was on the verge of sweating.

Beau looked away from Owen. The name sounded so foreign to him.

“Why did you lie? Why did you pretend to be him?” he asked as he gestured to the guy who was actually Luke.

Owen rubbed at the back of his neck, his skin flushing red from anxiety.

“He said a storm delayed his flight from Hawaii, so he asked me to take over a job he had scheduled,” he explained as his eyes flickered over to Luke. “That job was watching over Derek. I didn’t want him to get fired, so I told him I’d act like him.”

Mandy whipped around to glare at Luke.

“You seriously lied and had someone else pretend to be you? For a babysitting job?” she asked.

Luke put his hands up defensively.

“I didn’t know it was your kid! We were having the time of our lives, baby. I didn’t want to leave, so I had him step in,” he said, defending himself.

Beau pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to straighten his thoughts out. Owen had pretended to be Luke, who was supposed to be Derek’s babysitter. He understood friends helping friends, but taking over the job of a babysitter, and having no experience, was reckless. What if Owen had messed up or hurt Derek because he didn’t know what he was doing?

Beau had trusted Owen with Derek, who he cared about a lot. Mandy was already pissed off that Beau slept with the babysitter. She would’ve been even more pissed off if Derek had gotten hurt on his watch.

“You had all of this time to tell me. Two weeks,” he stated firmly.

  Owen nodded solemnly.

“I know. I wanted to tell you. There were so many moments when I was going to, but… I got nervous. I didn’t want to lose you,” he expressed nervously.

Beau didn’t think that he could trust Owen. He couldn’t trust Luke either. He obviously didn’t know either of them, and he felt himself withdrawing into himself like he used to do. It had taken him so much work to finally trust someone, to let an outsider in. Now, he felt betrayed and foolish for opening up to someone that he didn’t even truly know.

“Lose me? You didn’t have me in the first place because you lied about who you were!” Beau snapped. Whatever they had together felt like a lie, and it crushed him because Owen was the only person who deeply impacted him.

Owen flinched at Beau’s loud remark. Looking crushed, he lowered his head.

“I’m really sorry, Beau. I know I lied, and it was wrong, but I never meant to hurt you. I thought I would watch Derek for a day and be done with the job. I didn’t think it would be two weeks, and I didn’t expect to get so close to you,” Owen admitted.

Beau shook his head. Every word that Owen spoke pained him. Were they lies, or were they words of truth? He couldn’t tell. Owen could’ve been saying anything to save his ass, and Beau wasn’t interested in being tricked any longer.

“If you actually cared about me, you would’ve told me the truth,” he replied coldly.

Once again, a babysitter betrayed him. He felt used and dirty, thinking of all the times he let Owen know something deep about him. He’d given secrets to a stranger, a fraud. How did he not see the signs?

“You and I are going to have a long discussion,” Mandy hissed to Luke. “But I can’t even look at you right now. You need to get out.”

“Babe…” Luke sighed, trying to step closer to her.

Mandy put her hand up in front of his face, stopping his movement.

“Just get out,” she told him.

Beau turned to Owen, but he didn’t look at him directly. Honestly, he couldn’t bring himself to. It was too painful to look at the man who he thought he could trust, who he thought he was falling in love with.

“You should leave too,” he said quietly.

  Sadness shattered across Owen’s face.

“You want me to leave?” he asked.

  Beau nodded.

“It’s for the best,” he replied. He didn’t want to talk to him any longer. He needed some time to gather his thoughts because he had no idea what to do next. He had thought that he would officially ask Owen out on his last day on the job so that they could get even closer. Now, all of his plans were in pieces.

Owen parted his lips to speak, but he decided against it and sadly nodded. He followed Luke out of the bedroom, leaving Mandy and Beau in silence.

Beau felt his legs grow weak, so he took a seat on the edge of his bed, covering his face with his hands. Today was supposed to be a good day. He planned on going out to a movie with Derek and Owen. Instead, a truth bomb had been dropped on him, and he didn’t know how he would recover.

“I can’t believe they lied like that. How despicable,” Mandy muttered bitterly beneath her breath as she started to pace around the room. “I’m going to get them in trouble!”

Beau shook his head. He didn’t want to deal with this any longer. He didn’t want to drag out this issue more than it already was.

“Don’t, Mandy. Please,” he said quietly.

Mandy stopped pacing and placed her hands on her waist, narrowing her eyes.

“They deserve to be punished. Derek could’ve been hurt!” she protested.

“But he wasn’t!” Beau shouted as he rose to his feet abruptly. He was hurt and heartbroken, and he didn’t want to deal with Mandy’s attitude right now. He wanted her to listen to him, to respect his wishes. Derek was fine. He was the one who got lied to and ended up with a shattered heart.

Mandy glared at him before dropping her shoulders and sighing.

“Sure, Beau. I’m taking my son home now,” she said pointedly before storming out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

Beau dropped his head again, wishing he would wake up and discover this was all a terrible nightmare.

  CHAPTER 13

  Owen

Okay, breakups suck, but Owen didn’t think he would be so severely affected by his breakup with Beau. Did he really like him that much?

Sighing—for the hundredth time today—Owen dragged himself through his front door after a long day of work at his new job at a high-end tailor shop as a clerk. Since he’d quit his old job so that he could continue watching Derek, he had to find a whole new job. Of course, he was grateful to have a place to work, but taking Luke’s place was the best job he ever had, even if it was fake.

Luckily, Mandy didn’t file a complaint against Luke and Owen, but that didn’t put him at ease all that much. What he was worried about was the fact that Beau hadn’t talked to him at all, and it had been a full week. He had to face the fact that what he had with Beau was over.
