The Cearcall and Ull’s Legacy
At the beginning of the reckoning of years, the Majistar Ull brought magic to Erinna. Twelve star sapphires controlled the creation of the magic. Ull gifted the star stones to twelve individuals, each with a magical spirit. For six hundred years they, and their successors, controlled magic on Erinna, formed laws around it and maintained peace. In the year 600, they died, blown to the winds when magic, wielded by the Tribility who held three spirits, destroyed the Cearcall Tower in Denshire. Since 600 magic has been weaker, almost dormant. Some stones were lost, their location hidden by history, along with some items related to the members of the Cearcall.

Each magical spirit manifests differently from healing hurts to splitting the mind, from creating illusions to manipulating objects.
More than one person at any one time can hold a spirit, but only one spirit wielder can possess the star stone and unlock its full power.
Each spirit has a collection of hues, lesser forms of the spirit, which may manifest in anyone.
People who wield magic are said to be affected by Ull’s Legacy.

POSTSCRIPT
To you, my reader…
Thank you.
I hope you enjoyed Treason, the first book in the Treason and Truth series.
Please consider leaving an honest review of this book wherever you feel most comfortable. Reviews really help readers find their next book and help authors find their next reader.

Authors rarely get to publication without help and support. They sit and write in snatched hours or minutes. Sometimes stories flow unceasingly from their fingers, clamouring to be heard amongst the din of everyday life. When the last scratch of the pen and click of the keyboard is done, then comes the editing, the interior design, the cover…
My journey has not been solo. From my friends and family who have read, re-read and given me honest feedback to you, the reader that got this far, I say thank you.
This book is dedicated to Chris. From first giving me a love of reading to a belief in myself, this series, as much as this book, is dedicated to her. Having read more versions than we can recall, from book 1 to book 12, and a few between, her support, patience and honesty has been a cornerstone of my life and journey.
