part #3 of The Power of Three Series
“Sissy, we go swimmy. We get ready now.”
The one thing I’d learned about little girls were they were free with their clothes. If they wanted to get undressed, they just dropped their drawers wherever. Cami ran in before Bridget could achieve this. “Hold on there, before you get naked.” It was all it took for all of us to leave these women in order to get ready for the pool.
Grabbing my swim shorts, I followed Jordan and Levi as they gave me a tour of the entire estate. There was no snow on the ground, and we took the pier to the private beach. “Hell, I may need to get me one of these,” I jested.
Both men were holding hands, and it pulled at my heart, knowing what these two had been through in order to admit their relationship publicly. “You probably could afford it.”
These men were still new to me, and it was a bit awkward, given Levi was once with the man and woman who had claimed hold of my heart.
Turning to Jordan, Levi placed a peck on the cheek, asking, “Hey, Doc, can you give me a second? I’ll be up there soon.” Jordan leaned in, and returned the sweetest kiss on his forehead, walking away without any questions.
“Hey, Hollywood, I wanted to clear the air for a second. Obviously, you know of my past with Cam and Dane.”
On the pier overlooking the beach, I didn’t reply, only nodded. “You aren’t a prick like Jordan was whenever we were all around Dane and Cami, but I can sense a little animosity.”
He wasn’t wrong, and I still didn’t understand why. “Yeah, sorry, Levi. I’m not sure what to do with it. I’ve never been a jealous person, and hell, I see how you love your own two.”
“I’m nothing if not transparent, but I’ll tell you I’m happy for Dane and Cam. I don’t love them, not like I used to, but they deserve so much more than they got from Jack.” I really hated hearing the name Jack. It seemed to find the little jealousy bug living deep inside me.
I extended my hand, and he shook it. “Thanks, man. Sorry if I was a dick.”
Levi shook his head at me. “No, man, you weren’t a dick at all and anyway, I get it. I really do.”
Maybe in my own mind, I was a dick when I had become enraged by the green-eyed monster.
A voice yelled from the house, making us both turn around quickly. “Mie-doe, come swimmy with me.” Levi clasped the back of my shoulder.
“Ah, they added DOE to the end of your name. You’re in like Flynn, dude. And you’re one lucky man, I hope you understand this?”
I nodded his way, then yelled toward Bridget, “I’m coming, sweet girl!”
I stopped in my tracks, entering the indoor pool, after I changed, housed in a different building near the lake house. Cami was following Maggie onto the stairs while Bridget waited for me, her one good arm extended toward me, silently telling me to pick her up.
Cami was in a black two piece, with cherries on it, and, boy, was I ready to lick every cherry off her. It was one of the few times I’d seen her hair pulled up on the top of her head like a genie. She turned around, Scar calling for Bridget.
“Come here, sweet girl.” She was holding her hands out for her.
“No, Miz Scau, I with Mie-doe.”
Cami began laughing at Bridget’s response, which made me assume Scarlet and the feisty two-year-old were buds. “Traitor,” Scar teased.
“Whata traita, Mie-doe?”
I swung her up near me, getting into the warm water and kissed her cheek. “It means a beautiful, sweet girl.”
“Yep, that me,” she returned, and I think it was then Bridget Gregory officially claimed my heart.

“Holy Shit,” Sandra echoed what I thought when she pulled her Mercedes up the drive, behind our minivan. I wasn’t expecting Apollo’s town car near our vehicle, but if Apollo was here, there was a reason. I missed riding up with Cami and Miles, but I couldn’t skip work and my wife wouldn’t have come if we didn’t travel during naps.
“Shit, do they have any older brothers?” she asked.
“No, just younger ones, by quite a bit, if I’m not mistaken.” She snapped her finger, like oh well, putting the car in park.
“Dad-o.” We were not even out of her car, and Bridget and Maggie were flying toward me, Miles taking up the rear.
After I picked up Bridget, Maggie ran for her auntie. My actor leaned in to give me a kiss on the cheek, but I turned, planting one on his lips. “Hell, I missed you, Famous.” Putting his hand around my back, he turned to Cami’s twin sister, who looked more like Scarlet than Cam.
“Cassandra McDonald, this is Miles Sterling.” She reached out her hand, a little smirk on her face. “I didn’t believe her, not at first. It’s not fair, Cam finds two wonderful men, and I can’t find one.” She had a slew of bad luck with all the jerks she’d dated.
“Dad-o,” Bridget began. “You get swim trucks and take me swim,” she demanded.
“Yeah, let me get settled.” I brought him closer to me and inhaled the almost melon beachy aftershave, and hell, I wanted him now. “Where’s Cam?”
Maggie’s voice called out from behind me. “Mom-o is drunk.”
Tipping my head to the side, Miles laughed. “I wouldn’t say she’s out-and-out drunk, but she may be later tonight.” He turned toward Cam’s sister. “She claimed she was drinking for Scar, too. It was some sort of pledge of solidarity.” The girls were still in their suits, I noticed, covered by their coats when we entered the lavish house.
“To the right is the master suite and a guest room. To the left are the rest of the bedrooms and straight ahead is the large den and decks to the beach, and the indoor pool is behind the house.”
“You know your way around already, babe,” I said.
“I gave you the same spiel as Levi and Jordan gave us.” The girls were at the back door, jumping up and down anxious to get back to the pool. “Go get ready, and I’ll meet you there,” Miles offered, telling Sandra her room was to the left of ours.
“No, actually, if you take my bags to my room, I want to spend some time with these ladies for a bit.” She opened up her suitcase to grab what looked like a swimsuit, taking both girls by the hands, as they led the way to the pool house.
Bless my sister-in-law. She knew I needed some one-on-one time with Miles. Grabbing his hand as he took her luggage, he led me to the other wing of the house and to our bedroom.
“This is like a spa at a five-star resort.” I was examining the luxury of the bedroom and noticed the girls’ room off ours. “Wow, they thought of everything,” I observed.
“Not everything.” Miles’s hand pulled at my jacket pocket and then pushed me onto the bed, twice the size of a normal king-sized one. “Does the no sex rule still apply?”
“Oh, that’s a good question. But no, once we’re committed, we can be with one another whenever we want.” My answer seemed to please him.
“I love this mattress. Think something this size can fit in Cami’s and your room?” He was pointing at the bed when at first I assumed he was referring to his manhood.
I realized immediately what he was hinting around about. “Funny thing about what you just said is …” I countered as he straddled me on the bed.
“Yeah, Lawyer Man, what’s that?”
“You’ve been there with us every night. The room has sort of become yours, too.” I worried that my suggestion or what I thought I might be suggesting might spook him. “That is, if you’re comfortable in our humble little home.”
His body was above mine, but his face dipped to mere millimeters from my lips. “I’m most happy wherever you and Cami are.” His mouth collided with mine, but I wasn’t giving him free rein. We sparred for domination. I’d give in, but I needed to push the boundaries a bit for both our sakes in order to turn the man on, more than he already was.
“Did you bring anything? I want to be on top. No, I demand it.” I had a feeling my request wouldn’t fly, but I loved messing with him. When his eyebrow rose, the right one higher than the left, he howled at me.
“Let’s get one thing straight. You may rule in the court, but I rule in our bed.”
I’d achieved my goal. “Then fuck me, and make it good,” I dared.
Stretching his long body over to the other side of Illinois, since our bed was so huge, he grabbed his bag and produced a condom and some lube.
“You want to boss me again, then I’ll top you for the next fucking year,” he growled, turning me over to my stomach. His finger worked my tightness. He wasn’t gentle, but I loved it because I wasn’t in the mood for gentle. We couldn’t hurt one another.
“And because your mouth has not stopped running, let me shut it up.” He was out of bed, and my body was at the side. The bed was a great height where his cock was easy to suck, and boy, did I suck it as he continued to tease my ass.
But it wasn’t all rough and tumble. His spare hand caressed my arm, working circles up and down the length. At times, he had leaned down, whispering in my ear, telling me how much he missed me.
“I love you, Dane Gregory. I want to be with you. I don’t care where it is, but my home is wherever you and Cami and the girls are.” His eyes were directly locked on mine, without blinking. In his direct words, my pulse quickened. This was what Cami and I had been missing. He was who we’d been missing.
As much as he loved us, and there was no doubt he had, he was falling in love with our girls as they were with him.
“We’re making you soft,” I teased.
“Maybe,” he replied, kneeling before me. “But you made me love and trust again. If I needed to become a bit of a marshmallow, then it was worth it.”
His hand was rubbing my ass cheek and I gently pressed my lips to him, and the kiss we shared was not heated. Though it was full of passion, our love was being exchanged in this instance.
“I need you.” I pulled back, and Miles understood my words when he climbed onto the bed from behind and pushed the tip of his cock into my tight ass. I welcomed the wonderful intrusion. And when I thought this afternoon together would be more fucking than lovemaking, it was simply him and me sharing our love for one another.
“You’re so fucking deep in my heart, Famous,” I announced and though I couldn’t see him, we were forging everything that we were—together. “Miles, you hear me, babe? I love you. I won’t let you ever leave us. I hope you know this.”
He leaned around my ear, and his words were so soft but also very definite when he spoke. “When I’ve found perfection, why would I ever willingly leave?”
Miles and I strolled into the pool an hour later. “I hope my drunk wife is still functioning a little,” I joked, and it made him chuckle. I adored seeing the dimples of his features come alive, because of something I had done. Knowing I affected him in this way gave me every ability to trust what we were building was real.
“Ah, they finally showed up,” teased Jordan, who seemed to be on Bridget duty as Scar, Cami, and Sandra, were in lounge chairs drinking.
“So,” Levi began, “it sure took you both a while to get ‘dressed.’” He used air quotes.
Why deny it, so I nodded my head. We emerged in the pool, and Bridget reached for me. She couldn’t be under the water. “Thanks, Jordan, for making sure her broken wing didn’t get wet.”
“Yeah, it seemed like the women are going to drink all night, except for Red.”
Levi approached us, surrounding Jordan, and kissed him on the ear. “That’s okay, Scar won’t be drunk, and this means a fun night for us.”
From the corner, Scar’s loud voice radiated the entire room. “You’re sure as shit right, LT.”
No one seemed to be able to sensor Scar normally, so in pregnancy mode, she was more hot-lipped. “Little ears, Red,” Jordan reminded her, and she only flipped him off.
Levi handed me a can of beer, along with Miles. It dawned on me I’d not said hello to my beautiful wife in her gorgeous bikini. Exiting the pool, Bridget jumped to Miles, and I moved to get to Cami. She leaned up as I took over her seat, bringing her back toward my stomach. “Hey, sweetheart. I missed you.” My arms held her around her waist.
“Hey, babe.” She rested her head on my chest. “I think I may be a little drunk.”
“You don’t say?” I countered. Looking around the pool, I attempted to account for everyone. “That’s it, right, Scar?”
“Um…” She sat up, looking at the rest of her crew. “No, we’re waiting for Garner, Kayla, and Dominic.”
“Dominic?” I asked, and every time I was with this bunch, they added more people.
“Dom is best friends with Garner. Garner had court, and Kayla had work, so Dom is waiting on them both.”
“Shit,” Scar began, “I can’t do Kayla and Garner tonight. Though Jordan made them both promise they’d play nice this weekend.”
Sandra’s back and forth look reminded me she didn’t fully grasp this dynamic. “Okay, quick break down, sis. You probably remember Elliot, Levi’s twin sister,” Cami began, and Sandra had to have remembered her from our days when we were committed to Levi. “She’s dating these hot billionaires; Arden and Daimen, who own this lake house,” Cami started and I couldn’t blame her. The billionaires were hot as hell. She pointed at Scar. “Ms. Potty Mouth here has Jordan and Levi.” Cami took a deep breath. “Kayla is Jordan’s little sister. Garner is Arden’s little brother, and I assume Dominic is Daimen’s little brother.” Scar nodded her head.
“Shit, that’s a lot of people to keep track of,” Sandra teased.
“Yeah, you’re preaching to the choir, sister,” Cami began. “Anyway, Kayla and Garner have this weird enemy relationship, but they’re always together. They fight, it’s intense, and we all just think they need to fuck and get it over with.”
I didn’t know little ears were behind us when Bridget tapped Cami on the shoulder, her hands on her little hips. “Mom-o, you say bad word.” It was so cute, I couldn’t say anything, nor could anyone else, as they all erupted in laughter.

Cami
We were in the bedroom changing after an afternoon of swimming and drinking way too much. I wanted something simple, and I grabbed a long black dress with capped sleeves. And because I was cold all the time, I pulled on a light pink cardigan to lend me some warmth. Miles had gotten out of the shower first to hang out with the girls in their room, reading them books. They’d be going to bed soon before the adults ate dinner. “I have the stories tonight, Curly Sue. Just go spend some time with Dane.”
I was rummaging through my overnight bag, looking for some large silver hoops, when Dane’s arms circled my entire body.
“Are you feeling any better, Ms. Lush?” he teased.
“A little. But looking in on Mie-doe and the girls, it certainly does something to me.”
“Mie-doe is new and so fucking sweet. And hell, Cami, I’m scared to get attached—letting them get attached, but fuck, he’s so lovable. Who would have thought the asshole we met on the plane would be reading to our girls six weeks later?”
“Yep, I would have never thought this would have gotten as far as it has,” I admitted.
He pulled me into the bathroom, closing and locking the door. “Not sure I can do a quickie right now, honey. I’m still a little drunk,” I explained.
“Yeah, I know. I wanted to tell you something. We were talking while he fucked me.” She didn’t bat an eye, and the idea only made her smile. “I hinted around to him we’d like him with us every day, and he seemed to reciprocate the idea.”
“You asked him to move in with us?” My words were said with shock but not disgust.
“It’s what we’re working toward, right?” he clarified.
“Hell yeah, but what did he say?”
He explained the conversation about the bed. “Wow, I think we should talk to him later tonight.” I opened the door to Miles’s face in front of us. “The girls are fast asleep. Scar has a baby monitor, and I have it set up during dinner,” he informed us, not asking what we were doing behind closed doors.
We entered the long hallway and shut the door quietly as to not disturb the girls. Walking through it, leading past the other bedrooms and eventually, the living room of the house, we were hit with a loud, “Well, no one fucking asked you to wait for me. I’m a big girl. I could have fucking driven here myself.”
It sounded like Kayla and Garner’s promise was now a broken promise.
“Are we going to have to listen to this all weekend?” Dane asked.
A man with a very distinct aftershave ran past us. “The answer is fuck no. I got this.” Though he was a whirling dervish, Jordan was on a mission to nip this in the bud.
“I think it’s cute, funny. Sort of an enemy-to-lovers movie in the making,” Miles joked.
“Yeah, give it an hour, and you’ll want to ship them off to Hollywood. It gets old quick.” The loud voice of Jordan overtook the odd couple’s arguments, and Kayla ran almost through us with tears in her eyes.
Pulling at my men, I, too, was full of confused emotions, when I first realized I desired such a dynamic relationship that went against what I thought I’d have one day. “I’ll meet you both in the living room.” Turning to follow Kayla to her room, both men gave me a little pat on the ass.
Knocking on the door, it opened slightly. “Kayla, honey, I wanted to check on you.”
She appeared at the open door, more tears in her eyes than when she had flown past us. “I know we don’t know each other super well, but sometimes, it’s easier to talk to someone new.”
She waved her hand at me, allowing me in. “I know a little about arguing with yourself when you think something is different than what you’d imagined your whole life.”
She took a long deep breath, throwing herself on the back of the bed. “Why does everyone assume I have feelings for Garner?”
My eyebrows rose dramatically. I didn’t know her well enough to be brutally honest, so I kept my answer simple. “It’s called chemistry. It is going to set this whole house on fire if you don’t watch it.”
