Matt and Frank here are trying to survive a Zombie apocalypse world. Matt had come up with the idea to go hunting for some food. A small town was nearby and that where the fun began. Frank So, one found a note addressed to anyone who might come across it and read it. Matt after hearing what it said wanted no part of it; Frank wanted to help the writer.
The note was from a guy named John. He had a son, and they were both going to make a run for it and find a place safe to stay. They were asking for anyone who read his notes. Yes, I said notes there over one. For those who like to group up and form bigger parties to please follow to he was about the note describing to them.
Matt Soon fell to his friend's wishes and followed him on his ridiculous quest to hero ship. Founding themselves being chased by Zombies who run and scream and crawl. They even encountered an undead dog or two. Only to find Matt hurt at the end of his attack with the undead dogs. Frank traveled with Matt under his arm to place to place, looking for sleep and food and something to help his friend out with his head injury.
They soon happen upon a school filled with undead children and two living young guys, Shawn and Jason. They came and recused the two new guys only to find out that two new guys didn’t need their help at all. These guys were killing for the fun of it, like some kind of sport.
Soon after school, they found themselves in a boarded motel with Shawn and JaSo, Matt there soon succumbing to his head knock and fell to the deep sleep. Frank stayed with him to help him recover and woke up to find him alone and the other two guys have gone while he sleeps.
Once Matt awoke, they headed out following a note they left that from Jason to lead them to a Church. The Church was a place where the guy and his son instructed to be holding up. But once they got there, they found it a lot harder to get into. It barred up and locked and once inside the place filled with Undead wall to wall. But Frank and Matt cleared them out and found another note in the back room left to whoever found it, and that wasn’t all they found.
They also found a lady in the closet. She had locked herself inside the room when the place turned mad and started killing each other. She told them the guy and his son left once they brought a man who had bitten into the building.
Now, with her in the group, they must leave the Church and head north to follow the note and the girl's directions. O' did I forget the Undead heard Matt ring a bell inside the Church? And now the Church surrounded and there was no way out alive!

Chapter-1
Frank sprang up from sleep and wipes off the sweats from his face with both hands. He said, “Wow! The room is freezing and dark. I can’t even see the things are in the room. I really have to strain my eyes to see.” Now, his iris enlarged to see inside the room. “The painful sensation in my leg is strange. I just wonder what the cause could be.” Frank felt pain in the left leg because of the cold air that touched his knee through the torn blue jeans. It smelled like mildew.
” When Matt, Kimberly and I left the Church, we headed to the Barn. It had been a full day since we made it to the Barn, but each time I am closing my eyes, I am dreaming or thinking about the fight to get out of the Church.”
“At this point we are really at a loss what to do, we have been looking for a way out of the Church into a safe running room.” Then Matt said, “I can't believe that I originally took it as a joke as always, but deep down, I am terribly worried now. We stuck in here.” Frank now said, “I can see here that the Church has a back door, but I found it locked, chained and padlocked to keep anything from sneaking in.”
“I can also see that the door is a tight-fit steel with only a few of the bars on the outside of the doors pulled back. So, we lack many options. We can only defend ourselves just inside the door. But unlike us, the undead never tire. Who knows, as I am yet speaking many of them could be on the outside, trying to get in at them.”
Next, Matt exclaimed: “An idea has just popped into my head! I now know what to do. My idea is to push some benches to the door, even if they only help to hold the undead out a little while longer. So, we’ve got to work together and push like four benches over and with great effort let us place a bench on top of another.” Kimberly said, “There are some gaps I have just discovered.” After lifting the last bench, she bent over to catch her breath, but a hand came through the cracks of the benches and grabbed her hair.
Kimberly screamed out loudly.
Frank alerted Matt as he said, “Kimberly has made a distress call. Let us act quickly.” Frank stopped what he was doing and went to help, but Matt was much closer. With a big downward swing of the weapon, he cut clean through the Zombie. Its arm fell clear off and hung there in Kimberly's hair. It still entangled within its rotting hand and she kept on wailing her fears. Frank hurried over and helped to take it out of her hair and then motioned for Matt to take her in the back of the room to calm down. Matt was quite encouraged, as he could do this. He said, “Now that they have gone out of the room, I am looking around but I cannot see any other way out. The window has boarded up and even if I should take them off, they would hear him and be surrounding the window, waiting for me to get out.”
Rushing toward the back where Matt was, he found Kimberly on the cot breathing into a heavy bag. Frank shook his head and headed for the medicine cabinet and found some rubbing alcohol and other things under the sink. Setting to work, he began mixing them and pouring the mixed concoction into one water bottles he found lying all over the place.
Matt, who was taking care of his new friend, looked up and saw him moving around the kitchen area.
“What are you doing back there?” asked Matt, now standing and watching him intensely.
Frank stopped for a second and looked up. Then he said: 'I’m making something for us to used to get us out of here.' Before returning, he heard a breaking sound coming from the other room. He noticed, and said, “A breaking sound? What could that portend? I fear that the breaking sound could be a warning of something that is going to happen, especially something horrifying. Well, I need not fret. I have always known that when fear knocks on the door, I need to answer the door with faith. I need to apply this now.”
Matt's head spun around and with one look back to Frank, was off to investigate the noise. Matt returned seconds later to report they were busting through their blockade. Frank doubled his effort. He grabbed some dry pieces of cloth lying around and stuff them into the bottle. Setting it down finally on the counter, he counts how many he had made.
There were 5 bottles of green liquid with rags sticking out the top of them all. Matt came over, looked down at them, picked one up and gave it a sniff. The fragrance was so strong that it nearly brought tears to his eyes.
“What the hell is that?” This was Matt's second question to Frank as regards the experiment he had made.
“It is going to get us out of here, I told you. Now get me my lighter and grab some bottles and follow me.”
Matt didn’t move but looked over at Kimberly sitting on the cot, breathing in the bag still.
“What about her?” Matt asked.
Frank stopped at the doorway with one bottle in his hand and one foot in the other room, looking back at him.
“She can help as well if she wants to get out of here alive. If not, stay here and get eating. Just stay the fuck out of my way while I try to get us out of here. GOT IT, good!” Frank said forcibly, looking directly at Kimberly.
Kimberly said nothing in reply, only sat there looking up at him than to Matt. He was hoping for sympathy and support. Seeing he would not get any from Matt, he got up and gave Kimberly a ‘sorry’. “But I have to go look”, he said, and so he followed behind Frank out the door to the next room.
When they caught sight of the benches, Frank said, “Interesting! I can see that the benches that were used to block the front doors are still holding, but as we can see, they are swung forward and backward. It wouldn’t be long before they al l can crash down and the undead come marching in.” Frank wasted no time and lit the bottle and watched it burn for a second.
Seeing that it was lit up good and would not go out, he reached back and threw it at the far boarded-up windows of the Church. Matt could react to the first one but after watching Frank toss the second and hearing the explode flames come to life and lick at the boards and walls, Matt came too.
“Have you lost your fucking mind?” Matt yelled.
Frank spun around and squared off with him and looked him right in the eye.
“No, but if you’re going to be caught up in the witch's drama spell, then Someone has to take drastic measures and get us out of here.”
Matt couldn’t be what he was hearing, for one Frank just cursed at him and disrespected a woman. Second, he was yelling and standing up for himself, which for him was something he never does.
“But the flames will burn the place to the ground and those of us inside it,” Matt Said, watching the flames reach the rafters above.
“Listen, the board will weaken and make them easier to break. We will toss something hard and break the glass and escape out the hole.”
Matt gave it a thought and asked about the flames and getting burned.
“I thought of that too. Will take the cots in the back and drape over us and get out, hopefully unscathed. The blood of the undead on the cots should help hide the fragrance.”
Matt looked impressed and held out his fist for a fist bump. Frank reaching out toward him and bumped knuckles.
“Here we go,” Matt said as their fists touched.
“Let do this then.” Frank replied to him.
Matt hurried to help him light a couple more bottles. Reaching back, he began tossing them out and about. Now that the place was filling up with smoke, it was time to try their luck with the boards.
Lying all over the ground was an assortment of clothes. Frank found a shirt, picked it up and wrapped his face in it along with his hands. Matt, with the same hand wrapped up tight, follows his friend to the window. Hands wrapped tight, they each grabbed at a blackened board and gave it a pull. The board didn’t crack or give in, anyway.
They both had to retreat and escape the smoke. Back at the doorway, they looked at each other. The soot had made their faces turn black.
“It sounded like a good idea,” Matt said behind the cloth covering his face.
Frank glared at him but didn’t reply, took a deep breath and let it out.
Matt watched as Frank ran over to the tray that supposed to hold the holy water. The tray was empty now and tipped over. Frank leaned down and picked it up. And, with all he had, he threw it at the smoking boarded-up window.
Crack!
The board cave in a little and Frank looked back, ran over, picked it up again and went to toss it once more. Before he could, he felt some weight lift from it and looked over. Matt was there with half of it in his hands, helping.
“On the count of three, we give it all we have!” Matt yelled over the loud crackling of the flames all around them.
Frank listened to Matt count it out and once the counting got to three, they both threw it hard at the window. The board snapped in half and the bowl continued onward and out the window. With the window now busted out, they ran back to the door in the back of the room.
Kimberly was at the door, waiting for them with her hand covering her face. She only stood there waiting for their orders, crying like she normally does.
“I got two bottles left, just toss them at the front door and burn those trying to come in,” said Frank, picking up one and lighting the rag.
Matt followed Frank's lead and heaved a bottle at the benches holding the undead back. The old, dry out wood burst into red fire and came alive. The heat coming from all the fire now was almost unbearable. They didn’t leave now; the smoke would be too thick and the heat too hot to live through it.
Matt stood and watched the fire burn the walls and roof above. He said, “This is really a fearful sight. As I am looking up, I have seen it covered in dark black smoke, so bad that the ceiling is indescribable.” Two drops of sweat dripped into his eyes and Matt took to looking down quickly. Using his covered hand, he used the dirty rag to rub off the sting of the sweat in his eye to relieve the pain.
Matt said, “With the fire and smoke around me now and undead at the door, asking to come in, having sweat in my eyes disrupting my view is something I don’t need.
Frank slipped into the back while Matt was watching the Church go up in a blaze of glory, grabbed the cot with the most blood and started dragging it back to the door and the window. Kimberly wiped the sweat off his forehead, took a deep breath, shouted, and jumped towards Frank to help grab the other end!
“If you’re going to help, make sure you don’t have a cut on you. We don’t know if this blood infected or not.”
Kimberly dropped her end and stood there. Frank cursed, gave her a deep huff of breath and kept on dragging it. Matt saw he was getting closer to the window and was now in need of help to pick it up to help push out the remains of the broken glass.
With a couple good pushes, he pushes closer to the window and was now in need of help to pick it up, to help push out the remains of the broken glass as it pushed his cot more than halfway out. With a couple good looks around, they could see that most of the undead were upfront. The burning sound of the fire must have hidden the breaking of glass and wood.
Rushing back, Frank grabbed the second cot with the bloodier of the two and pulled it into the Church’s congregation room and bumped into Kimberly on his way by. She jumped as the cat rubbed up against her and she tried to wipe the blood from her arm that stroked.
As Frank and Matt were picking up the second cot and were trying to force it through the window, the sound of the wood breaking echoed out loud. Spinning the head toward the front, the door they could see in their blockade was ablaze, and the sound wasn’t that. It was coming from above their heads.
It was the roof, and it was about to come crashing down upon them if they didn’t hurry and get out. Doubling up their speed, they started pushing the cot harder till it popped out on the other side of the window and popped out the other side and fell.
The sound of things falling and breaking came loud again, but this time it was the roof coming from the front door pile up. It had become weak and was broken down because of the effect on the blaze on it.
The blockade fell to pieces in a matter of seconds and the undead stood there trying to climb over themselves. They set the closest undead to the blaze on fire and burned bright, like a candle in the night.
Matt watched the fire closely from where he stood. Watching it jump from wood to Zombie and from Zombie to whatever was next to it. Now, not only did they have undead coming for them, but they had flaming Zombies who want to cook their meals while they eat it.
Kimberly watched as the barricade fell and looked over at Matt and Frank and saw that the window was clear and their escape was clear too. Making a run for it, she took off toward the window and jumped right out the window and hit the mattress on the other side.
Matt watched as she passed and disappeared out the window and smiled at Frank. Frank couldn't care less if she came with them out there or stayed inside to burn or got eating.
Shortly, they started trying to get out the window and a strange sound came out. Looking back one last time, they saw loads were now inside the doors. Just under the platform, they were just on that day, fighting their hearts out.
Some had pushed enough debris away and were now making their way past the Church bench that blocked them. But the sound wasn’t from them, it was from above. Looking up, they saw it was happening so fast. If they had blinked, they would have missed it.
The bell in the tower had broken free and fallen to the floor. It landed and hit the platform they fought on and broke through it and crash-landed on the undead underneath it. There was a cloud of ash and dust. Matt and Frank shielded their eyes and covered the rest of their face with their arms.
