  Abso-fucking-lutely.

“I personally love that idea.” Hunter’s voice broke through our connection as he slipped into the office, his eyes narrowing on us. “However, you two have been noticed to be absent so…”

I scowled as my sexy mate got up quickly and dressed, my cock hard and painful as I tucked it back into my dress pants.

Without saying anything else, she kissed both of our lips and was out the door eagerly, looking nearly the same with the addition of my mating mark. I couldn’t even explain how much better it made me feel.

“She seems pretty relaxed and open to the idea of a family,” Hunter mumbled. “Not that my wolf gives a fuck, he’s pissed he didn’t mark her first.”

“He’s an asshole,” I pointed out with a chuckle as Hunter grunted in agreement.

Without another word, we went back outside to help Colette. Her eyes immediately found mine as she offered a soft smile, her entire body relaxed and any concern in her eyes from before completely eliminated. I smiled because there was nothing better than having a satisfied mate. Not just physically, but her smile and overall happiness? I was starting to realize that was all I fucking needed in life.

  Colette Allard

I woke up Sunday morning to my phone ringing as I scowled, my eyes squinting to block out the sunshine blasting through the windows of our bedroom. Damn it, when I’d chosen to stay in Washington, I had chosen rainy cool weather, so what the hell was going on with this damn sunshine?

I felt around for my phone on the end table, realizing the bed was empty. I picked up the device without looking, assuming that it was one of the boys. Or hoping it was, at least.

“Colette,” my father’s harsh voice immediately chastised me. “We are two hours away from Willowdale. I heard you are whoring yourself out to the local wolf pack so be at the front gates and ready to leave by then. This ends today.”

I groaned, glad that he hung up right away. I laid back on the bed wondering if I should just go back to sleep. Finally determined to end this, I sat up and walked towards the main suite, wiping the sleep from my eyes. I smiled slightly, finding Hunter sitting on the couch looking over his tablet. His green eyes roamed over me appreciatively before frowning at my expression.

“My mother and father expect me at the pack land gates in two hours,” I answered his unasked question.

He tensed, letting out a low growl.

“How do you want to handle this?” he barely got out, clearly trying to be considerate. I had a feeling he was right on the edge of losing it and while I was curious to see what that would be like… I knew it wouldn’t help at the moment.

I contemplated what to do next as I stared outside before coming to the conclusion on how I would handle this. “Let’s finish this nonsense. No point in ignoring them. Maybe we could invite them in? Sit down and talk about all this bullshit?”

“If that’s what you want.” He nodded, still looking tense.

Walking over to the bathroom, my smile curved up noticing the two savage-looking bite marks on either side of my neck. I couldn’t help but absolutely love the open mark of ownership. The best part? They had marks to match, and I knew they wouldn’t attempt to hide them. Sure, our scars would heal and turn gold, but right now they were vicious looking and would make for a solid emphasis when dealing with my parents.

I wasn’t leaving. This was my home now.

Taking my time in the shower, managing to walk out feeling refreshed and wide awake, I dried myself off and prepared to get ready. I could hear my mates talking about my parents in the bedroom, but I didn’t focus on that. I would have to deal with my mother and father all night, I needed a bit of time to myself to prepare for that.

I rarely messed with makeup or doing my hair extensively when I wasn’t forced to. In Maine, they had expected me to dress up every day, so the ability to dress and look however I wanted now was one I could easily grow used to. However, tonight I would do my best to show my parents how comfortable I was here so I took my time getting ready.

Blow drying my hair, I curled the ends under and pulled it back on one side, applying limited makeup but enough that it evened out my flushed skin tone. Wrapped in a robe I made my way towards the closet, grabbing a dress I’d bought the other day purely because of the ombre color pattern it showcased. The silk dress was a halter style in an array of jade green, light blue, and lilac. I added on a pair of small flower earrings Dylan had picked out in the store and nodded at my reflection, feeling completely satisfied with the finished product.

“How do I look?” I asked, twirling into the room and facing the boys.

“Fucking stunning,” Dylan admitted, his eyes sparkling.

“Too good,” Luca voiced, practically pouting.

“I just like that you look relaxed and happy, I don’t want these assholes to bother you at all,” Hunter mumbled and kissed my forehead. “You know you don’t have to do this right? We could just get rid of them.”

I sighed and nodded. “I know but... they are my parents, I at least owe them this.”

“So sweet.” Hunter shook his head before kissing me.

I froze as I heard familiar voices echoing downstairs. I nearly groaned, but instead, I brushed off imaginary lint from my dress and turned towards the door. This was it.

“Get your hands off me right now!” my mother’s shrill voice echoed. The four of us had been walking towards the dining room, our silence comfortable but ruined by her sudden outburst.

“Where is my daughter?!” That would be my father.

I walked into the room and stood in the door frame, looking around the smaller dining room with interest. I briefly categorized that my parents looked stressed but more than that, they seemed afraid. Of what, I didn’t know. I didn’t try to communicate in any form, instead, I waited until they noticed me, which didn’t take long.

“Oh good,” my mother hissed, “now we can fucking leave.”

My mates spread throughout the room comfortably, some enforcers that I’d recognized on the edges of the space. My eyes narrowed on the third guest at the table, someone that I’d never seen before but who seemed perfectly at home with his situation. Who the hell was this? My parents were crazy, but bringing along random men? That seemed odd for even them.

“Did you fucking mate with someone?!” my father bellowed as I met his gaze, noticing the fear infused with it.

“Who are you?” Hunter rumbled in demand of the stranger sitting at the table.

The man looked up, my parents silent, as he stared at me for a long moment before looking at Hunter. “Michael, I’m Colette’s fiancé.”

I snorted, not liking the frigid chill the man’s eyes gave me, but also finding the statement ridiculous. My mother offered me a horrified look and my father turned purple in fury at my behavior.

Luca sighed, rubbing a hand down his face. “This is idiotic.”

I couldn’t help but smile at his frustration because in retrospect this all did seem ridiculous. Had I really been afraid of these two? Now that I could see their panic, fear, and desperation, I sort of just felt sorry for them.

I sat down at the head of the table, staring at the three of them curiously.

Michael shifted and decided to open his stupid mouth. “She’s been promised to me, I have the legal documents to prove it.”

My brows raised as I heard Dylan let out a low growl, his temper sparking dangerously. I grimaced, trying to process what he was saying… and then it all hit me. My eyes falling on my parents as anger surged through me. My magic stilled as I considered how to handle this. How to handle the absolute bullshit I’d just been handed.

Without my full control, my magic expanded out, pushing to limits it had never gone before. Instead of explosive, it was calm, moving through the space and bringing everyone into a large network connection that was fueled by the icy rage growing inside of me. I stood leaning over the table as I spoke softly, knowing every single person in the room could hear me. I wasn’t sure I could maintain it… but right now that didn’t matter.

“What does he mean I’ve been promised to him?”

Both my parents paled as I waited for them to explain, or attempt to spin some lie because I was well fucking aware of the truth of this situation. The truth of what they had done.

Hunter’s dominant voice rang through our private connection. “Colette, look at the car they arrived in. It has a plate on it now so we didn’t realize it at first, but it's one of the unmarked SUVs.” My eyes flickered out the window to where a dark SUV was parked in the driveway. Ah, yep. That would be it.

I blinked and my breathing halted as I focused back down on my parents. “You sent them after me? The unmarked cars were following me because of you? Why?”

“You have commitments.” My mother whispered, confirming the horrible conclusion I’d come to, as tears stained her eyes. “If you don’t go, Mommy and Daddy can’t pay their debts to HAF--”

I let out a sharp laugh. “You fucking sold me to HAF? Michael, assumingly who is part of the organization, purchased me from you in order to pay off a debt? Am I fucking understanding this right?”

My mother turned mean, her eyes sharpening as she realized she would get no sympathy from me. “We didn’t fucking want you, anyway. Why not cut our losses and kill two birds with one stone?’

“You are so much like my brother it’s fucking disgusting.” My father spit. “That self-righteous bullshit. He was so damn blinded by it that he couldn’t see what we took right in front of his own face.”

“What?” Static ran through my ears as I tried to focus on his words, wanting to pick them apart but needed him to clarify.

My mother cackled. “You didn’t think you were actually ours, did you? No, you are such a little freak. A by-product of your father sleeping with some whore that had mutated magic. When he forced us from his skulk’s land, we kidnapped you and raised you so we could make a profit one day. We hit a real fucking lucky streak when a year or so later the entire supernatural community came forward. Now everyone wants a shifter for a pet.” I could hear the cruelty coming off her and I swallowed, trying to keep my cool and process what exactly they were saying.

It felt like everything inside of me froze for a moment. My parents weren’t my parents. My uncle was my father, and I’d been taken away from my family because these bastards had wanted to make money off of me. They had sold me to Michael who was part of a human hate group and had been trying to track me down to fulfill the contract. Did I have that right? Was I fucking missing anything?

I was in such shock that I didn’t even register what occurred around me at first.

Glass shattered, wood broke, and a roar sounded as Dylan’s temper snapped. Shifting, he lunged across the table towards my parents.

Michael ducked as bullets flew through the glass and towards my other two mates.

Another man, the one who had pulled us over, began shooting through the window as Luca’s body slammed into mine so I hit the ground. All hell broke loose.

I lost it when I saw blood coming from Hunter’s shoulder, having gotten hit. My magic broke loose as my eyes fluttered shut and the entire building shook. I let out a cry as my temple pulsed, feeling as though it was going to fucking explode. I could hear Michael and my parents screaming as Luca tucked me into his chest, saying something I couldn’t quite hear.

Then after what felt like hours… everything went absolutely silent.

I could hear my heartbeat in my ears and my eyes hurt to open as I came nose to nose with Luca whose face was filled with pain. My magic was making a slow retreat, but it was clear damage had been done. I turned my head to the side to see both of my ‘parents’ unconscious and Michael a few feet away, a heavy beam from the ceiling had fallen on him.

  Well, fuck.

“Colette, angel,” Luca’s voice was rough. “You gotta tell me you’re alright.”

I nodded and cupped his jaw. “I’m fine. Really.”

Hunter was shouting something as I watched the unconscious bodies get dragged away and Dylan approached, licking my face gently. I let Luca help me stand as I immediately sought out Hunter. I breathed out in relief as he tugged off his shirt, making it obvious the wound had already started to heal. Thank the Maker.

I looked over my other two mates, breathing out a sigh of relief that they were fine as my magic seemed to settle happily under my skin. I had no idea how I had pulled out so much power from that side of my magic because right now? My connections were back to normal. I was happy about it though. My mates and I were alive. We were alive and perfectly okay.

Hunter’s chest appeared in front of me as he grasped my jaw and seared a kiss to me, my hearing fully popping. His voice was rough as he pulled back. “I fucking love you, Colette. Fuck them. You have a family now and I swear to the Maker if anyone ever tries to hurt you again I’ll fucking kill them.”

“I love you, Hunter,” I whispered and turned towards the other two. “I love all three of you so damn much.”

Luca surged forward and backed me up against Hunter’s hard body, his lips invading mine as I let out a moan. He pulled back with a carefree grin. “I love you too, angel. In fact, I am going to show you how much I love you by going to handle Michael.”

I blinked, letting out a laugh as Dylan didn’t bother shifting back. Licking my hand in affection before he followed his brother. Well then.

  “Are they going to--”

“Torture Michael?” Hunter rumbled. “Very possibly, more than likely.”

I smiled. “Is it wrong that it doesn’t bother me all that much? I mean, the man did try to buy me.”

Hunter let out a savage growl as he leaned down to brush our lips together. “You are mine, Colette. Ours. I would have never let him take you from us.”

I moaned at his possessive words as my back hit the wall, his limit seeming to have been reached. Honestly, I wish I could say I looked around for the others, but I just didn’t give a fuck. A gasp broke from my mouth as Hunter’s lips trailed down my chin and jaw, his bite to my pulse causing my knees to break as my pussy pulsed with need. Holy fuck.

“Hunter!” I almost laughed as he offered me an almost feral look, his fingers ripping the delicate material of my dress down the middle. Holy shit! “I liked that dress.”

“And I love you, I win.” He growled and snapped my panties, his fingers finding my center as his lips met mine, shutting up any response I could have possibly had.

I moaned as his body knelt before mine, his kisses trailing down my breasts and stomach, my fingers buried in his thick hair. I whimpered and arched as his strong hands gripped my legs before lifting me so that my pussy was level with his face.

His name echoed through our connection as he began to devour my center, leaving me shaking with need as my body broke out into a hot flush. My hands tugged at his hair, needing to feel him buried deep inside of me. To feel his hard cock pounding into me as I came all over him.

“I need you, now,” I demanded and his eyes snapped up. Straightening as he caught me around the waist so I was wedged between the wall and his massive frame. I had no idea how he did it, but before I could beg him again, his hard rigid cock was pressed right against my wet heat. A moan of relief echoed through our bond as he slid in, slow but deep, causing my eyes to roll back in absolute pleasure.

“Fuck!” He growled. “This is my home now, little fox. I will spend every single fucking day buried inside of you.”

“Yes please,” I nodded as he began to bounce me on his cock, my cries filling the surrounding space. My soaked pussy allowed him to move his massive length in and out of me with absolute ease. Holy fuck.

I could feel the orgasm building in me and I didn’t even bother trying to stop the tidal wave of pleasure that crashed over me, causing me to scream myself practically hoarse. Hunter’s pace only grew faster, causing me to almost let out a sob of fucking pleasure.

“Oh, shit!” I whispered as he slid me down his body, flipping me around so that my hot flushed body was pressed against the wall. He gave no warning before ramming home balls deep, causing me to scream out his name throughout our connection.

“Come with me,” he demanded sharply, his hand wrapped into my hair while slamming into me rough enough I knew I would feel it the next day. His other hand wrapped around my throat causing me to whimper and whine with need, my ass pressing back against him, needing more of him. Always.

I didn't have a chance to agree before I was exploding around him, my fingers yanking on his grip on my throat so I could bite down on his pulse, the taste of his blood exploding on my tongue. I moaned as his teeth bit down on the back of my neck while he buried himself deep inside of me before stuffing me full with his cum, refusing to break his solid hold on me with his hands and teeth. I closed my eyes, letting go of his wrist as I pressed my face against the wall, my breathing rough and uneven.

“Hunter,” I whispered as he legitimately pulled back from his solid bite and licked the back of my neck, my blood scenting the air.

“I love you,”he whispered through our connection, nuzzling the side of my neck.

“I love you too.” Was the last thing I managed to get out before my knees broke and everything went dark around me.

“Are you warm enough?” Luca asked, making me smile as he somewhat fussed over me, his warm hands adjusting my jacket before grasping my slightly chilled face. Well, chilled in comparison to his searing temperature.

“I promise, I am perfectly warm,” I smiled as he mumbled something under his breath, tucking me under his arm. I had to admit it was a bit chillier here than in Washington despite the temperature being similar. It was reminding me why I hadn’t enjoyed living on the East Coast, to begin with.

I looked up at the large rental home that we were staying at for the weekend, the brick colonial style fitting in perfectly with the spring bloom of flowers that were popping up everywhere. I couldn’t tell if it was going to rain but I was hoping it would hold off until we at least got to our destination. I felt an excitement course through me wondering how the hell so much had changed within two weeks. It was nerve-wracking, exhilarating, and positively wonderful.
