Prologue
The current year was 2275, the peak of human technology had come long ago. Today, humans colonized and terraformed many planets they traveled to by space travel.
Humanity also had far fewer jobs because of the robots. All manual jobs were done by them.
These robots weren’t fully independent, only an overseeing robot had independent thought, but due to human caution towards robots, they were all built in with the most advanced failsafe completely isolated from the robot's reach which would detonate their soft and hardware with an EMP inside their bodies.
There were a few cases of rogue robots, but they were contained because of the failsafe.
As for what humans do today, all jobs were mental and intelligence based.
Through the use of a combination of Virtual Reality technology and robotics, one person could control several robots. Even so, the number of people per jobs were much fewer. In such a case poverty would rule, but, as mentioned, Virtual Reality exists and has long reached its pinnacle.
Through virtual reality people had jobs in the virtual world and would trade electric coin. The proportion isn’t high though, very unlike the initial period of Virtual Reality. The current ‘Credit’, the intergalactic coin of humanity, is currently 1000:1.
For those living off games, it requires immense intelligence and luck to gain an immense amount of money to survive out of Virtual Reality.
The best method is to play the game before it is ‘beat’ and the quests can't get harder. That is why game makers are always trying to make new and better games which last longer.
The current longest playing game is God’s Life, a game which one plays as a god of simple tribes who are given a small piece of land and must try to raise this tribe into a powerful nation to gain power through ‘faith’, the game’s currency.
Kingdom’s based games are the most famous for their better money-making method.
At this moment, a new game was hitting the market, but it wasn’t getting as much reception because of the theme. The game is called Magic Life, the theme of the game is fantasy, a theme wholly spent early on.
The games sale point is that people don't choose race or anything, besides having a body scan, their race is randomized and even in some cases the class as well. This means that there is a large chance for people to end up animals or monsters and the tutorial stage is said to be raising the group or tribe to a more intelligent stage.
There actually aren’t many people wanting to play this because those starting up, it was almost sure to be a kingdom building game. Such games are under heavy tax control making money gaining harder.
That said, for one young man, he didn't have much of a choice because at 20 years old, living in the slums, he barely scrunched up enough to buy Magic Life.
He had no other option, because he needed money.
His name was Lucas Rollin, he was a short skinny young man with dirty and messy black hair and green eyes. His life went downhill when his parents were killed 10 years before. Although law enforcement was good, there were simply to many loopholes. Just as robots are good for law enforcement, crime proliferated with them.
His parents were robbed and killed, leaving him without the capability to go to school or college, forcing him have to start gaming. That said, he isn’t particularly skilled, due the incomplete education, as a merchant or trader, he wasn’t very good, and he sucked at fighting. Even with the time difference in games, he was truly untalented at fighting. He only had one talent, he was humane and would choose humane choices. Although his life was hard for these choices, he managed to survive with these choices. If he was placed within the king role, he would be called a peace-loving king instead of a war and conqueror king.
As his body is scanned, a holographic copy formed. On his arm, a strange wrist accessory was lighting up with circuit like lines.
The hologram copy was soon sucked into the wrist accessory and a hologram screen appeared.
Brainwave and physical body scan complete. You can now log into [Magic Life], the place where your second life begins.
Warning: you will have a random race and possibly class chosen before entering the game depending on the race. Some monster races are born with a class but due to the special features of the game, the classes can evolve.

“Yes…” Lucas said in a tired and dry voice from the poor amount of water he drinks.
Suddenly the wrist accessory lit up and Lucas, who had sat down in a chair, became dizzy from the immersion. He soon found himself in a white space and two huge roulette wheels.
A beautiful woman dressed in a secretary suit, stood smiling at him. “Welcome Mr. Rollin, would you like to commence the race selection?” she asked.
“Sure.” he said simply.
The woman froze a second because she always heard requests, such as avoiding certain types of creatures and all that.
“Um… do you have any particular request such as not wanting specific race?” she asked.
“Nope… you can start.” he said.
She nodded because it really wasn’t common. She pulled the left lever and the huge roulette began to spin.
It span in a blinding speed and a button appeared.
“Please, push when yo…”
PA!
Before she even finished, he had already pressed it and the wheel began to slow down. The wheel soon divided the colors in red and blue, the good-natured races and the evil natured races.
Soon it came to a stop at the edge of the edge of the red and blue. On the blue was human and on the red was Demon.
“You have gotten the demon race. Because of the large variety of demons, most races possess classes generally suited for each race. As such, you are required to spin the class wheel and the demon, and class combination will form a third wheel where there will have many kinds of demon races for that combination.” she said.
“Alright, proceed.” he said.
Her lips slightly twitched and she pulled the wheel. It was blank but as soon as it began to spin it gained color and formed the hundreds of basic classes. There was combat, craft and support. Support are things like accountant and other ‘jobs’ of the sort meant for secretary type jobs.
The colors were red for combat classes, blue for craft and grey for support.
As it slowed down, the two watched and the woman sighed when she saw the pointer slow down greatly in the grey area. She thought that he would surely suffer because these were weakling demons.
That said, when it finally stopped, she nearly choked. The class design was a small crown. The two wheels shined and merged forming one line.

The woman’s jaw dropped at the sudden and amazing race and class.
Lucas was also surprised because he had seen so many comics and novels and he unexpectedly was going to become a demon lord.
“C-Congratulations!” the woman said forcing a smile, “... your race is demon lord and the class is the same.” she said.
“Hey, is this the same demon lord as the novels where I'm king of demons?” he asked.
“Yes and no. This is the ‘Lord’ or ‘Noble’ demon. It is the beginner class of the king demon branch.” she explained.
“Oh.” he said.
Suddenly the screen shined and condensed into an egg which floated down.
“What’s this?” Lucas asked.
“Your avatar.” he said.
“Huh?!” he exclaimed.
“Good luck.” She said.
“Wait my na…” before he could say anything about his name, he blacked out. The reason he could not choose was because it was given in game, just like how the race and class was decided at random.
Chapter 1
Lucas was confused as his senses slowly came back and found himself rolled up into a very tight space.
“Shit… she stuffed me in an egg.” he cursed and sighed, “Who ever heard of starting as an infant in a VR game?” he thought.
He knew he was in that egg he saw, but where he was in that moment was unknown. He began to try and feel his surroundings, what he found was that he had no legs, no claws, fingers or anything resembling a human besides two fingerless arms, which had the elbow
"I need to get out.” he thought but since he didn’t have barely any strength or natural weapons, he decided to try to use his horns. He was in an awkward position, so he could only use his tail to push and make a small movement.
Thump!
The sound was actually louder than expected, but it didn’t do much. He kept doing that until he felt tired, but he did start feeling cracks.
Crack!
After resting, he started to hit again until his right horn finally formed a sizable crack.
At that time, fresh air entered the egg.
“AHH! MY NOSE! WHAT IS THIS STINK!?” he cursed as a wretched stench entered his nose as the ‘fresh’ air entered into the shell.
Of course, the new air fueled his body and his next hit caused the crack to expand making more of the horrid air enter. He spent close to an hour after that to finally break a bit enough hole to slid out. His eyes were hurting from the lighting’s change, but as he grew accustomed, his eyes opened and was able to look around.
What he found was the edge of a small boiling lake of some kind of material. As he looked around, he found that around him, there were other creatures. Five of them to be exact.
They were all skinny and had red skin and big disproportioned heads.
As he was looking a screen appeared.
Tutorial Guide
Welcome new Demon lord to your new [Magic Life]. What you see is a small demon spawn pit which is your starting location.
Now to explain your situation. The Demon Lord race and class are a special race, different from other players, the Demon lord is a special type Support Class, which one can gain by founding a kingdom or being born into it. Different from other classes, Demon lords are born incredibly weak that said, their mental abilities are very high and even a newborn is as smart as a newly pubescent human. They also have a special ability to gather demons with low intelligence to do their bidding. Infant Demon lords, by the time they are born, will usually have between 3-5 demons who were attracted and bound by your powerful mental abilities and are your first minions.
That said, these are the lowest tier trash type demons who children would train with at an early age because of their low lethality, but in the hands of an intelligent demon, they have a high growth rate and evolution rate. These minions are completely classless so they are very weak, but that will change with their growth.
Now onto the abilities of a Demon Lord, as you probably noticed, your entire body is that of an undeveloped baby, this is because Demon Lords, which have not put down their Demon Heart, the core of their nation and power, would not be able to call themselves lords and grow. Even basic management and recruitment of minions cannot be done without placing it, that said, you cannot place it down at any random place.
You are currently 2 kilometers from the Hellish Badlands, the most inhospitable place. To place your Demon Heart, you must head into the Hellish badlands and find a powerful Mana node, or Mana Spring as known by most races, in which you plant your Demon Heart. By placing your heart in the Hellish Badlands, you will incorporate the hellish aura of the badlands, allowing you to grow the path of a powerful and evil Demon lord.
Lucas read all this and frowned, he turned his head a bit before he felt his horns feel a tug and looked towards a lit up side of the sky. This was a slight tug that the system placed to guide him but he frowned, "I don’t want to be an evil Demon Lord.” He said and turned to one of the demons, “Pick me up.” he said. His voice was developed, but high pitched. The demon walked over and picked him up roughly, “No! Don’t pull my tail! Carry me in both hands!” he said and pulled his tail out the best way he could and the demon slowly modified it's form and carried him like a baby.
He waited a while and soon he felt a weaker tug coming from the opposite direction from the badlands, it headed towards a range of mountains. There was no way around it because the badlands were completely surrounded by them on all sides. “You all, we are going that way.” He said and the demons began to walk the direction he said.
Congratulations, by ignoring the temptation of a quick and easy power up from the Mana Spring in the Hellish Badlands, you have gained the title Good Demon.
Good Demon
A special title for demons who avoid the typical evil aura of the common hellish race with the same name. This title affects all your minions and followers making them less savage in nature.

You must find a Mana Spring and place your Demon Heart. Only then you can your reign as a Lord of Demons begin.

Nice choice, life is made of hundreds of choices, this choice is a major one which will change your path in the world.
Now we shall continue our introduction of the Demon Lord Race.
The next important fact that should be known is that the Demon Lord race does not develop in the same way the other races do. The strength and power of a demon lord is based on the development of their minions. In the same way, the minion’s power comes from their lord because you can control their stat distribution. Either you are placing specific stat distribution to happen automatically or you doing it manually, you have this power over your minions.
The stats of common beings are the following:
Strength: The stat which represents physical power and the ability to lift objects. One point of strength will give strength equal to 5 kilos of weight in both force and lifting power.
Constitution: This stat represents the physical development, or the health and health regeneration of one's body. One point in Constitution will give 10 hp and 5 hp/m. In combat, this drops to 2 hp/m in combat.
Dexterity: This is the stat which represents the precision in using the body. This is, how well one can control and use their body to do more delicate tasks.
Agility: This is the stat which represents the speed which one can move with their body. One point will increase the max speed by 2 km/h.
Intelligence: This is the stat which represents your magical ability and thinking speed. One point will give 10 mp to your maximum.
Wisdom: This is the stat which represents your magical regeneration. One point increases your regeneration by 5 mp/m. In combat this becomes 2 mp/m.
Charisma: This is the stat which represents your commanding power and charm towards other beings. For Demon lords, Charisma has a special function which is where one point in charisma will give 0.1% buff to primary class stat of chosen minions.
Each stat will produce different results in the minions changing their form as the stats increase, that said all the demon minions right now are all the same.
