Paul grips her arms hard, but she only smiles up at him, eyes blazing with a manic, wild glee.
“Who?” he yells, ignoring the squelch of something fleshy beneath one heel as his feet continue stomping in a hellish rhythm with the music.
“My baby, that’s who,” Sally says, pressing herself into Paul, her body hot and fluid as melted steel. She points toward the jukebox—which continues pulsing with demonic, tireless pleasure—an elated smile on her lips.
“That’s my baby boy in there,” she says proudly, her shrill voice carrying above the rising tumult of death and music. “Ain’t he something?!”
