But what he was going to do from this day on, he had no idea.

He turned away from the gravestones, and a dark-skinned, good-looking woman stood a few feet down the path. She had been watching him.

He stared at her for a long time before he moved away from the graves and walked down to her.

“Hello,” he said. “Do I know you?”

“I don’t think so,” the woman said. “But I would like to express my sympathy at your loss.” She had an accent Kelsey could not define.

He hung his head. “Thank you,” he said. He looked up again at the woman. She had a pretty face.

“My name is Deborah Asheim,” the woman said, the name meaning nothing to Kelsey. “I was sent to talk to you. To ask for your help.”

“Flannery runs in the same fast, high-tech track as Clancy and his gung-ho colleagues, with lots of war games, fancy weapons, and much male bonding.”

  —New York Daily News

“Clancy and Cussler need to look over their shoulders.”

  —Library Journal

“Flannery weaves an ever more striking tapestry … authoritative … taut and well constructed.”

  —Publishers Weekly on Without Honor

“High Flight ends the twentieth century with a bang, Russia versus Japan, with the U.S. caught in the middle. Perhaps it’s time. There’s a lot of techno and a lot of thrills in High Flight. Better strap in and hang on when you go for this ride.”

  —Stephen Coonts

“A maven of mach speed mayhem, intricately moves [the] pieces around his global chessboard, until many bodies, plane crashes, and a running sea battle later, action hero McGarvey wipes out the bad guys.”
