He hesitated, then grinned.
Butterflies erupted inside of her.
“Absolutely!” He took off his hat and yelled, “Can I get a yee haw?”
“Yee haw!” Hunter and Cooper yelled out.
The crowd laughed and hooted.
“You may now kiss the bride.”
Nash’s arms wrapped around her, his hands pulled her closer to him, and his lips pressed against hers. She was flying, floating, climbing every tree, riding every horse. It was heaven. She heard the crowd clapping, but all she could focus on was him.
“I love you, Vi,” he said, “and I’m going to make our second chance our last chance.”
Slowly, she smiled at him. “The Second-Chance Billionaire. It kinda has a nice ring to it.”
“It kinda does.”

The Guy Next Door Billionaire Sneak Peak
“Let us in!”
The angry girls’ voices from below interrupted the ghost story Noah Sullivan had been telling his buddy, Preston Archer. And he was just getting to the good part, too, because Preston’s eyes had been getting wider and wider.
He jumped up to look out the window of their boys-only clubhouse built in the tall oak tree of Preston’s yard. To make the membership requirements crystal-clear, they’d nailed a sign to the bottom of the tree: NO GIRLS ALLOWED. Preston pushed Noah partially aside so he could see through the window, too.
Below them, two stupid girls stood glaring up at the tree house, and he knew for sure they were old enough to read the sign.
Preston’s seven-year-old sister, Emma Archer, and her friend, Ashley Fredrickson.
Good thing he and Preston had pulled up the rope ladder so no one could come up during this important meeting. Noah, especially, wasn’t about to let any girls come up, even if Emma was kind of cute—not that he would ever say that. Even at ten years old, he knew you didn’t think your buddy’s little sister was cute. Besides, she was a stupid girl.
He leaned out the window and taunted them. “You need special permission to come in.”
“We do not, Noah Sullivan. Let us in.” Emma shook her head, and the sun glinted in her red ponytail as it swung from side to side. “My mom said you can’t keep us out.”
“Whatever.” Preston laughed. “Mom said we could have our meetings up here, just Noah and me. So go away.”
Moving closer into the shade of the tree, Emma put her hands on her hips and narrowed her green eyes up at them. Scowling, she yelled, “I hate you both, Stinky Butts.”
That didn’t make him feel good, but when he saw Preston laugh again, Noah laughed, too.
Ashley pointed up at them. “If you don’t let us in, you’ll be sorry. Really sorry.”
Emma nodded. “We’ll go find a bunch of girl fire ants and put them in your beds. Then you’ll be sorry and wish you’d let us come up and join your stupid meeting.”
Noah laughed in earnest then. “Where are you going to find girl fire ants?”
Texas did have fire ants, but Noah was pretty sure Emma wouldn’t go to that much trouble to get back at them. Just in case, though, he was going to ask his mother to put a lock on his bedroom door.
He called down, “I’m glad I don’t have any sisters.”
Emma smiled up at him. “And I bet all girls are sure glad they went to another family so they don’t have you as a stinky brother.”
Well, that was just mean.
“Come on, Ashley,” Emma said, tugging on her friend’s arm.
“Okay,” Ashley said with another scowl up at them.
“Let’s go searching for”—Emma turned her face up again and smiled sweetly as she raised her voice to make sure she was heard—“fire ants.”

The Geeky Billionaire Sneak Peak
A knock sounded at the door.
Jimmy didn’t look up from his phone. “What?”
“Hey, Jimmy. It’s me.”
Jimmy made a face, narrowed his eyes at the game, placed the plug where it would stop the flowing golden liquid from pouring out the drain, and then pressed pause. He jumped to his feet, yanked on the nearest shirt—a smiling cartoon dinosaur playing video games with a comet coming in behind him—and moved to the door. He pulled it open. The throbbing sunshine beat down on the wooden walkway and sand beyond. It reached for Jimmy’s bare feet, but he stepped back. The only thing saving Jimmy from a direct assault was his friend and number one go-to fixer, Dave.
“Still worried the ocean is going to attack you?” Dave asked.
“No.” Jimmy sniffed. “The sunshine is much more dangerous during the day. You know it can burn your skin off, right?”
Dave Sanchez, who stood half a head shorter than Jimmy with cropped dark hair, wore a white tank top over his tan, toned chest. “If you went outside once in a while, you wouldn’t be so afraid.”
“I’m not afraid. I have a healthy respect for things that can kill me.” Jimmy waggled a finger at his friend. “You should, too.”
“Oh, I do. However, sunshine is good for you. You should try it sometime.”
“My skin is too fragile. I’ve spent too much time inside.”
“For being super rich, you are a super big baby,” Dave said.
“I just don’t want to damage my body before the conference begins. Heat stroke is a real thing.”
Dave rolled his eyes. “Can I come in, or are you going to make me stand out here in the deadly sunshine?”
The open door brought not only the blinding light, but also a hot wave of salty air and the more distant scent of sunscreen.
“Fine.” Jimmy stepped back and let him through.
Dave looked around and whistled. “Not bad.”
Being a partial owner of the Coconut Island Resort had a few benefits, and one of the large, private houses was one of them. They stood in a huge living room complete with couches, chairs, a low table, and a flat-screen television mounted on the wall. Wooden shutters covered the window that overlooked the beach. Besides the living room, the house sported a full kitchen—which Jimmy would never use—two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a Jacuzzi tub, and a balcony.
“How’s your room?” Jimmy waved Dave to the couch where he’d been sitting.
“I was going to say how nice it is, but now I’m jealous.”
“A little jealousy is good for you.”
Dave sat, and Jimmy took the opposite chair. “Is everything ready?”
Dave pulled his own phone out and swiped it to life. “The hotel has everything we asked for except for the fruit punch.” He glanced up. “Apparently it missed the boat over.”
Jimmy sighed. “I don’t know how I can go on.”
“Right?” Dave went back to his list. “The opening gala is tonight.”
Jimmy opened his mouth.
“You’re coming. You have no choice. And you’re making a speech.”
Jimmy closed his mouth and sighed. “I have something ready.”
Dave’s brown eyes returned to Jimmy. “Now I’m scared.”
“You should be,” Jimmy said. He studied his friend. “None of this is interesting. What’s really wrong?”
Dave sighed and put his phone down. “Someone just spotted Trey here at the resort.”
“Trey? As in traitor Trey?”
“That’s him.”
Jimmy ground his teeth. “What is he doing here?”
“Whatever it is, it’s probably not going to be good.” Dave shifted in his seat. “I’m betting we could get him off the island. You do own the place.”
“Partial owner. And just of the resort, not the island.”
“Close enough.”
Jimmy sighed. “No. I don’t want to give that guy any more power than he thinks he already has. Just make sure he isn’t signed up for the conference and that the resort staff knows to look for badges when people come in and out of the gaming rooms.”
“Got it.”
“Anything else?” Jimmy asked. “Did you hear from the folks in Africa?”
“They’re excited for the results.”
Jimmy sighed. “I hope this works.”
“Me too.”
“What time tonight?”
“Be at the gala at seven. Your speech starts at seven-thirty.”
“And ends at seven-thirty-two,” Jimmy said.
“Fine with me.”
Jimmy’s phone buzzed in his hand. He glanced at the screen and couldn’t repress the groan that came from his lips.
Dave smirked. “Your mother?”
“Bingo.”
Dave got to his feet. “I’ll leave you two alone.”
“Please don’t.”
“I wouldn’t want to interfere with family business.” Dave retreated toward the door.
Jimmy narrowed his eyes. “You’ll pay for this.”
“I doubt it.” Dave left with a little wave.
Jimmy stared down at his phone. If he didn’t answer, she would start to text. Then call again. Then text some more. Then she would probably call the resort and have them come find him so she could talk to him. He sighed and swiped the screen to life before it went to voicemail. “Hi, Mom.”
“Jimmy? Is that you?”
“Yes, Ma. You did call my number.”
“How was your plane?”
“The jet was great,” Jimmy said.
“Did they have enough snacks for you and Dave?”
“There were plenty of snacks,” Jimmy said. There had been enough food on the private jet for an army.
“You didn’t play games the whole way down, did you?”
“Of course not, Mom. I went to the bathroom once.”
She let out a scoff of disapproval. “Jimmy, it’s no wonder you don’t have a girlfriend if you talk to a lady like that.”
Jimmy sighed. “I don’t have a girlfriend because even several billion dollars can’t convince most girls that video games aren’t a total waste of time.”
“Well, I think you should look for a nice girl on this trip.”
Of course she did. “Ma, this is a business trip.”
“You play all day for your business. Make time for some socializing.” She paused, and he could practically hear her disapproving glare through the phone line. “I bet you’re inside your room right now with all the lights off, the curtains drawn, and your phone in your hand.”
“Well, my phone is in my hand because I’m talking to you.”
“Prove to me that you’re not in your room.”
Jimmy cursed in his mind as he jumped up, slipped his feet into his sandals, and threw the door open. The sunshine slapped him in the face, and he retreated for his sunglasses before stepping out onto the wooden walkway.
“I want a picture. You can do that live video thing, right?”
He never should have shown her that feature. “Where’s Dad?”
“You’re stalling.”
“I wouldn’t want him to miss this.” Jimmy hadn’t had much time to explore, but he knew the way to the beach. His footsteps thumped, and he could have sworn that sand was already creeping between his toes.
“Turn on the video, Jimmy.”
“Honestly, Ma, how did you get so skeptical?” Jimmy picked up the pace and rounded the corner of the next building.
People in chairs under umbrellas dotted the white sand beach, which sloped away from him to the glittering blue water beyond. The scene took most people’s breath away. Jimmy shivered.
“Now, Jimmy.”
“Okay, okay. Sheesh.” Jimmy lowered the phone and punched a few buttons. A moment later, his mother’s smiling face appeared. She had the same green eyes and brown hair that Jimmy did, but unlike his square jaw, she had an oval face. Jimmy appeared in the upper corner. He tilted the phone and turned so his mother could see the beach and the people there.
“It looks beautiful!”
“It is,” Jimmy managed to say without flinching.
“There are plenty of pretty girls out there.”
“Mom!” Jimmy turned so her view changed to the huts. “I’m sure most of them are here with someone.”
“You never know until you try.”
“Where’s Dad?” Jimmy asked.
“He’s in the bathroom.”
“Traitor,” Jimmy muttered.
“What was that?”
“Nothing. Look, Ma, I need to run.” He stepped out of the way of an attractive woman with medium-brown skin that shone in the sun who had her hair in shoulder-length braids.
“She’s cute.”
“Mom, stop!”
The woman chuckled.
“I’m hanging up on you,” Jimmy said.
“Go meet people. And don’t forget my seashells!”
“Bye, Ma.”
