She was sitting in a chair in Ulric’s office. Her jeans were pressing her in uncomfortable places. Now that he had full access without worrying, he didn’t hold back. She was going to be sore fairly frequently. It would take a while before she got the satisfied smirk off her face. When she gave him the ache through their link, he smiled.

He glanced at her. “Should I take care of the soreness?”

“Not quite yet. How am I going to learn if you guys fix it before I can appreciate it? Of course, I would like it fixed before Bastien gets here.”

Ulric nodded. “Of course. Though, if he is as eager as I was, he will be here in three hours or less.”

She gasped as she turned the page to continue reading about layering defensive shields. “Bastien breaking the law? His mother will beat the tar out of him. She was an officer for decades.”

“Are you looking forward to seeing his family again?”

“Yeah. Emailing with Reetha is nice, but she is a world-class hugger. It is only our tenacity that kept us linked through the years.”

She memorized the means to make a thousand-layered shield and moved on to a shield that would mirror attacks.

Her sister favoured the offensive magic, so finding aggressive defenses would catch her by surprise. Ellora was remarkably easy to surprise. She had such confidence that the world would fall at her feet that it generally did.

Shaking her confidence was the goal. After that, everything else would fall into place.

Her phone pinged, and she answered Reetha. Her cousin Yveeda tried to get in touch, and the half-goblin rarely reached out. She told Reetha she could give Yveeda her number.

Yveeda’s text came through a moment later. Ally grinned and started a conversation with the cousin she hadn’t seen in years. Information was rapidly shared, and in half an hour, Ally was grinning. “I have an army. For the twenty-seventh. I have an army to escort me in, and that is going to freak Ellora out.”

  “An army?”

“All the Rathmark bastards. There are a lot of them. Yveeda has arranged for twenty-seven different bastards to come along from nine different races. They are throwing their power behind me.”

  “Power?”

She squirmed on the chair a little and sighed. “For generations, the Rathmarks have been using their bodies to get where they want to be. That has resulted in some liaisons that have created lots of bastards. Some are sent to cousins in different promises, others are abandoned, but they all learn what they are when their powers bloom. We swoop in and visit them, giving rudimentary training or education. I haven’t been part of that, but I have provided cash to cousins who needed some help now and then. Being in exile almost makes me part of the club.”

He beckoned to her, and she got up and walked over to him. He took her hands, and the aching throb between her thighs eased. “You can’t sit still. How is that?”

She pouted. “Bastien does it with a kiss.”

  “You are comparing us already?”

“Well, you both started within two hours of each other, so it is easy to compare. Both have masculine endowments you won’t let me see. There are a few similarities.” She grinned, and he pulled her onto his lap.

He wrapped his hands around her waist and squeezed. “How are you doing? Are you happy?”

“We just need to get past my birthday, and I will know for certain.” She smiled. “For now, I am having a very nice time.”

Ulric smiled, and she stroked his lips with her fingers before she sighed. “I have to get back to the book on portals.”

  “Why?”

She smirked. “You never know when I might want to make a quick getaway.”

He nipped her fingers. “As long as you don’t feel that need with us, I won’t destroy the books on transport.”

Ally blinked. “If you destroy those books, I will just fucking walk away. For a while.”

He pulled her down to him and kissed her sweetly. “So, the books stay. Go study.”

She gave him a quick kiss on the forehead and headed back to her reading chair. She started going through the portal book and was at the final chapter when there was a thud from the front door. Bastien’s mark had started burning forty-five minutes earlier, so she closed the book and winked at Ulric.

The knock at the door was polite and restrained.

  Ulric answered, “Come.”

Ally smiled as a sweaty and tense Bastien entered the office. His helmet was still under his arm. Bastien grinned. “I would like to borrow our mate for a few hours.”

Ally looked at Ulric, and he nodded. She put her book back on the pile, took a few steps, and launched herself at Bastien. He laughed, nodded to Ulric, and wore her out of the office and up the stairs.

In the bedroom from the first coupling, he pressed her against the wall and rocked against her. He wasn’t speaking, but his helmet hit the floor. His jacket was next to it a moment later as his hips kept her pinned.

“Alora, this would be so much easier if you were wearing a skirt like last night.” He chuckled as he fumbled with the closure on her jeans.

She did a quick swish with her fingers, and a cotton skirt frothed over his hands. “Better?”

He paused and grinned. “Mages are the best.”

He stroked her through her underwear, and she moaned and arched into his touch. He rocked against her, watching her expression as he rolled his hips until he hit her clit just right and her body lit up.

A few more strokes and she was shivering and trying to catch her breath as her body clenched and clasped at nothing.

He chuckled and backed away from her, stripping the silk from her. “So, yesterday we had your favourite. Today we have mine.”

Bastien carried her to a wingback chair, placed her hands on the arms, and then she heard the snap and zip. The head of his cock rubbed in the slick she had produced, and he slid into her.

She gasped and whined, trying to back onto him. He put his hands over hers. “Now, now. I know it’s different, but I don’t need to use the opener spell anymore, so this is me.”

It was hard, thick, and she felt a ridge or spiral as he worked into her until he was in to the hilt. Her fingers dug into the chair, and she shuddered as she struggled to adapt to him. Just because she couldn’t be injured didn’t mean it was comfortable.

He pulled her tee down and found his mark, licking and sucking at it.

Holy gods! The surge of liquid around him made his movement easy, and he chuckled against the mark.

Ally braced herself as he thrust into her in earnest, her stance fairly narrow, her nails dug into the arms of the chair. His cock moved faster and deeper. Tension built far beyond where it should have caused a climax. He licked and nipped at the mark, and when his hand fought its way under her skirt, he rubbed at her clit, and she howled as she came.

She sobbed as he held her as he gripped her hips and shoved in deep, and then heat started to spill through her. Waves of deep warmth spurted into her, and she gasped, hanging from his grip on her hips.

She gasped and sighed as the spurting slowed.

He withdrew, and her knees buckled. He caught her hips and carried her to the bed, removing her clothing quickly before kissing her. “Hello, mate.”

She whispered, “If that is a hello, I don’t want to see you shake hands.”

He grinned and pulled off his clothes.

She reached down and felt between her thighs. “Why isn’t there anything left from you?”

“Unicorn thing. It absorbs before it can leak out.”

“Speaking of unicorn things...” She sat up and confirmed. “Yup. It’s a thick spiral.”

“During the opener spell, it gets a lot wider.” He grinned. “But I don’t have to do that again.”

She leaned up and reached out, but he caught her hand as he covered her and kissed her palm. “Not yet. I am way too excited to have your little fingers wrapped around me.”

“Fine, but your dick has regressed to a seven on the weirdness scale.”

He smiled and kissed her, his tongue teasing hers until she responded wholeheartedly, wrapping her legs around his hips in response.

He slid into her, she arched, and the whirlwind of sensation began again. Time stretched, she stretched, and then she was happy and limp and sweaty.

Bastien chuckled with his forehead pressed to hers.

A voice came through a hidden speaker. “If you two are taking a break, dinner will be ready in ten minutes. A fresh outfit for Miss Ally is hanging on the door.” Thom’s voice was resonant.

She grinned. “You don’t want to miss dinner.”

“I had a lunch feast at Mom and Dad’s. Reetha was there.”

“Yeah, I got the pictures. Did you guys have a noodle fight?”

He rubbed his cheek against hers. “We did. My dad’s comments about your body were really inappropriate.”

“Yeah, the only thing that held him back last time was my age. Dark elves are born pervy. Must be the seeing in the dark thing.”

“And the vision through stone. Clothes aren’t much of a barrier.”

She looked up at him, the red eyes that his father had bequeathed him. “Ah. Right. Noted.”

He grinned. “And the pointy ears. I also got the pointy ears.”

She raked her fingers down his back. “Time to get up, rinse off, and get dressed.”

He grunted and thrust into her. “That is a tease.”

She kissed his cheek. “So much more time to play. Now off.”

He wrapped an arm under her, stood up, and walked them to the shower. “You are never going to get clean if you don’t unlock your ankles.”

She blushed and moved her ankles from the base of his spine so she could stand on her own feet. He slid out of her, and she grunted as she stepped back to let water between them. The tidying up didn’t allow for much playtime, but she was dressed and handed him a set of Ulric’s clothes that had been next to the silky dress on the door.

Bastien chuckled. “It’s a pretty close fit.”

He threaded a belt through the loops on the jeans, and they were only slightly too big on him. The shirt was fitted but not tight. She smiled. “See you downstairs.”

“Oh, no. You are coming with me.” He grinned and picked her up. “I want to keep track of you, so we can go for a ride in the moonlight.”

That was something that made her blink as she was cradled in his arms. “I don’t ride.”

“You will.” He smiled, his wet hair clinging to his ears and neck.

She flicked her fingers, and they were both dry by the time he followed the scent of food into the dining room.

Ally blushed a little as Ulric grinned. “Thanks for using that room, Bastien. It warmed my heart to see my consort and her unicorn together.”

She looked at him. “Please, tell me that it doesn’t record, it just broadcasts.”

He walked up to them and stroked her cheek. “Where would the fun be in that? We need proof of connection in case it causes an issue with Bastien’s new career.”

Bastien sat at the table with her on his lap.

She blinked. “New career?” She looked up at him.

He grinned. “I passed the police academy in Rivel before I finished my training at the guild. Mom insisted that I have a fall-back occupation in case my dick ever fell off.”

“So, what will that new occupation be?”

“I discussed it with Ulric, and we agreed that you need a keeper. So, I am going to be your personal secretary and bodyguard.”

She stared at him in surprise. “What?”

  Ulric chuckled.

“I am going to be keeping track of you. On the plus side, it means that Reetha can see you much more often if you like.”

Ulric chuckled. “You can invite them to visit after your challenge. I would not mind a few visitors now and then, as long as they don’t mind the noise.”

  Ally frowned. “Noise?”

Bastien chuckled. “You, pet. You make a delightful racket when you cum.”

Ulric nodded. “The imps are split between listening and hiding.”

Bastien blinked. “You have house imps?”

“Of course. They are in all of these old houses. This place is infested with them.” Ulric chuckled.

There was a chittering from inside the baseboards. They were laughing.

Ally tried to ease out of Bastien’s arms, but he casually kept her where she was. “I have waited nine years for you, Alora. I am not going to let you go now.”

She snorted. “I can feed myself and then creep back onto your lap.”

“Nope. You are staying here. I haven’t had a partner to dote on before, and I look forward to treating you like the precious maiden.”

Ally stared at him. “I am hardly...”

He grinned, and Ulric chuckled. “You neither are, nor aren’t. If you measure maidenhood by the breaking of the hymen, yours can’t break. You are in the same condition now as you were before Bastien arrived. So, you are our precious maiden.”

“Do other clients know about that?”

Bastien chuckled. “It doesn’t work that way for others. I don’t cum in them for one thing. It is simply a stretch and go. The magic exuded is done when they reach maximum capacity in the position they or their partner choose, and then, I normally withdraw, and that is that. The maidenhead is removed with the magic. No wounds, no blood.”

“So, how was it different with me?”

“Ulric and I spoke for a few minutes before you came in. We thought this would be fun so that we have an eternal virgin with us.”

“Wait. There was an us before I entered the room last night?”

  The guys nodded.

“Great. Double teamed on every front and back.”

Thom came in and served the dinner, chuckling at the unicorn throne she was seated on. He also could have been laughing at her mutinous expression.

The guys got wine, and she got iced tea. She scowled. “I am not pregnant.”

Thom smiled brightly. “Not yet, but they are really determined, and you don’t like wine anyway. I see you make faces with every sip.”

She shrugged. “I don’t like it, but now, I feel a bit like a toddler.” She kicked her feet. “My feet don’t touch the floor, I am not allowed to feed myself, and I have a non-alcoholic beverage. All I need is a sippy cup, and I am set.”

Bastien slid his hand behind her neck and kissed her until she clung to him. When he lifted his head, he whispered, “Dinner is getting cold. If you are good, we will give you a bath tonight.”

Ulric howled with amusement, and she punched Bastien, who was laughing at her outrage. He grabbed her and turned her to face the table, where two plates were side by side. She grabbed her cutlery and started to eat her dinner as quickly as she could. Bastien took her fork and knife away and started to feed her slowly.

  “I can do it myself.”

“You can get an orgasm yourself, but I enjoy it more when I am part of the process.”

She nearly choked. “Um, that is an interesting sentiment.”

Ulric snickered. “Let the boy have his moment.”

“If he’s in anywhere close to my condition, you are lucky that you aren’t naked in his lap while he feeds you.”

“Is food a corollary for something?” She swallowed another mouthful.

“It is a reason to watch your mouth and imagine that it isn’t a fork I am putting in it.”

She burst out laughing and then got another piece of chicken for her trouble.

Dinner was quick. The guys ate their own meals the moment she was finished. She finished her glass of iced tea, and Thom refilled it. He put in a straw with a happy face on it, and she flipped him off but used the straw.

Ally sighed and sat back, using Bastien as an armchair. She was full but not unpleasantly so.

She complimented Bastien. “Congratulations. You didn’t get anything on my dress.”

He chuckled. “I tried very hard not to. So, Ulric, I was going to take her for a ride later. How fenced in is your property?”

“Completely. You are free to roam.”

Thom came out with a huge trifle. “Dessert first.”

They all had a portion, and when Ally had been fed hers, the other two fell on the huge bowl until over two-thirds of it was gone.

She was sitting on the table when Thom came to get rid of the leftovers. Ulric and Bastien were in earnest discussion about how best to keep her safe, and she was swinging her legs. She finally got bored enough to hop to the floor. “I am going to go for a walk outside. Get some fresh air.”

Bastien nodded. “I will be with you in a minute.”

She looked to Ulric. “Do we have to be anywhere tonight?”

He grinned. “No, we are good to stay home and fool around tonight. I did a lot of work this afternoon.”

“Oh, yeah. You worked hard.” She laughed and headed out the door.

  “You’ll pay for that, Ally.”

“I certainly hope so.” She chuckled and headed out to the back yard, where she could stare at the stars and wonder how taunting the city’s oldest vampire had become a hobby.

  Chapter Fifteen

Full from dinner, she curled up, watched the stars and nodded off. She woke up when soft lips teased her hand and a very long nose pushed at her arm. She opened her eyes and looked Bastien in the eye, in his unicorn form.

“Oh, hey, sweetie. Is it time for that ride?”

  He snorted softly.

Ulric was sitting nearby and smiling. “Do you need help mounting him?”

She chuckled as she got up and stood on the chair she was curled in. “Of all the phrases you never thought you would say.”

She took a jump, but she couldn’t quite get herself up. “Yes, please, Ulric. He’s a big fella.”

Bastien had a rich chocolate hide with a silky black mane and tail. She didn’t know how you measured a horse, but fucking big seemed to suit Bastien.

His crimson eyes were the same as his normal shape, and they were amused. Ulric lifted her, kicked the chair away, and settled her on Bastien’s back. “Off you go. It’s a nice night for it.”
