Chapter 1
“Is it working?” I asked as I leaned down over Princess Jessamine’s shoulder. We’d sat down for breakfast in Princess Ariana’s luxurious chambers, and Jessamine and Ariana had decided to work together to make me coffee.
Damn, I loved my wives.
“Hold on, Joe, I need to concentrate!” Jessamine laughed as she looked down at a crystal mug filled with clear liquid that sat on the large, coral table in front of her.
Ariana had told us about an “energy drink” she’d developed using plants from her kingdom, and Jessamine decided to use her transformation powers to make me the drink I’d been craving for what seemed like an eternity.
“I could use some coffee, too,” Princess Cienna yawned from her position on a couch opposite me. She looked at me and winked one of her bright azure eyes before she hugged a pillow and leaned back against the back of the sofa to relax.
It had been a long, fun night of fucking the princesses in their party dresses, so I wasn’t surprised the blonde was tired.
“It’s starting to smell really good,” I told Jessamine as I examined the liquid in the cup, which had definitely begun to look like coffee and also started to steam.
“Yes, I think it’s ready.” The raven-haired beauty picked the cup up off the table and handed it to me, and I inhaled the scent of rich coffee combined with exotic spices before I took a sip. It was the perfect temperature for coffee, which, in my opinion, was almost hot enough to burn my mouth. I could taste some of the spices I’d smelled when I was in Jessamine’s kingdom along with a lot of sugar, and I felt instantly more alert.
“Hey, Jessamine, this is really good!” I exclaimed. “It’s a little different from what I’m used to, but I love it.”
“Thanks, hero,” Jessamine replied as her cheeks grew pink from the compliment, and I had to admit I always loved it when one of my wives called me that. “This is the kind of coffee we make in my kingdom, and it’s best when it’s thick, full of spices, and has a lot of sugar.”
“It’s amazing, and I already feel more awake,” I responded, and I leaned over to give her a kiss on the cheek. “Here, Cienna, do you want to try some?”
I passed my blonde wife the cup and looked around the room at the three beautiful women who had become my wives in the past couple weeks since I’d gotten to Fairyland.
Since I’d discovered Jessamine could create new clothing for the women last night, I’d commissioned short satin robes for them to wear as we hung out this morning. Jessamine, who was a dark-haired, dark-eyed stunner, wore her favorite color, turquoise, while Cienna, with her long blonde waves and porcelain skin, always looked incredible in pale blue. Finally, Ariana, the red-haired mermaid princess, was currently wearing pale green. The redhead, who was currently in her human form, was lounging in a luxurious sea-blue chair accented with gleaming pearls, and she looked more relaxed than I’d ever seen her before.
“Can I try the coffee?” Ariana asked, and Cienna handed her the cup. Then the mermaid took a sip, and her aqua eyes widened. “Ooh, this is good, can we make more?”
I was going to have to get my hands back on the coffee soon, because I could see it was already half empty.
“I want more, and by the way, you’re looking good, Ariana,” I commented, and, as I expected, the redhead’s cheeks flushed bright pink.
I hadn’t seen her in anything but a bikini until last night, and while the view of her body in the swimsuit was incredible, the thought of all the costumes Jessamine could create for herself and her sister-wives was spurring on a whole new set of fantasies in my head.
“Joe, are you in there?” Cienna chuckled, which must have meant I’d spaced out while I was staring at my wives again.
“Uhhh, yeah,” I mumbled, and when I looked up at the blonde, she was flashing me a giant grin.
“We were just talking about our plans for the day,” she supplied.
“So, we wanted to go talk to Cordelia and see her house, right?” I asked.
Cordelia was only one of the merpeople whose homes had been destroyed by Morgar, the horrible, gigantic sea serpent who’d been terrorizing Ariana’s kingdom. The princesses and I had defeated him a couple nights back, and the kingdom was currently in the process of beginning to rebuild everything the huge eel damaged.
“Yes, that’s right,” Ariana said with a nod. “Even though we’ve been providing for her at the palace, I’m sure she was happy to get back home. I’d like to go see how she and her family are doing. In addition, I was hoping to test her crops for traces of poison.”
“Perfect,” I said as I stretched my arm along the back of the deep green couch I was sitting on, and then I let my hand slip down across Jessamine’s shoulders. “The only thing is, I’m still hungry.”
“I had an idea you might like,” Jessamine told me as she snuggled against my side and looked up at me with bright eyes. “It would actually be a fun game. I was thinking I could try to transform some of the food from this kingdom into things you used to like to eat before you came to Fairyland.”
“Well, that’s intriguing…” I said before I leaned back and thought about foods I’d liked to eat back in Los Angeles, but the first thing that popped into my head was the breakfast I’d planned to eat the morning I’d gotten transported. “So, there’s this thing called an Egg McMuffin…”
“An egg mc-what now?” Cienna asked as she wrinkled her tiny, perfect nose. “What the hell is that?”
“It’s not that different from food we’ve had here, since it’s basically just toasted bread, eggs, meat, and cheese in a stack,” I started to explain. “Except the bread is in a circle, and so are the eggs, and the cheese is a bright orange square… do you even know what ham is?”
“Eggs always look like a circle when you crack them, Joe,” Jessamine replied with a laugh. “This sounds easy.”
“Yeah… this isn’t like something you’d find in nature,” I told the princesses, and I was realizing the difficulties of describing fast food to people who’d never had anything like it before.
“Soft, orange, square cheese… that sounds different,” Cienna mused. “Now ham, I’ve heard of.”
Jessamine gestured down at a plate of fish also sitting on the large table, and it was instantly transformed.
“Here you go, Joe!” The dark-haired princess handed me a plate containing a breakfast sandwich that looked exactly like something you’d get at a fancy brunch restaurant, except it was cut into a perfect circle.
When I examined it, I could see it contained a perfectly fried egg, a piece of what looked like gourmet cheddar, and a slice of ham, and it was all set between two pieces of warm, toasted white bread. I lifted the sandwich up to my mouth, took a hefty bite, and felt my eyes roll into the back of my head. Everything was hot, gooey, and delicious, and I licked some grease off my lower lip.
Suddenly, someone cleared their throat, and when I glanced up, I realized Jessamine was looking at me expectantly.
“So, what do you think?” she asked as she nervously bit her lip. “Is it as good as your muffin-egg thing?”
“It’s perfect,” I mumbled through my second bite. “You all know how to do food right here in Fairyland. Jessamine, you should make one for everyone.”
“Easy!” the dark-haired princess said and snapped her fingers, and before I knew it, a plate of seaweed salad had been transformed into three more sandwiches.
“Damn, Jessamine, you’re getting so good at this,” Cienna complimented her sister-wife before grabbing one of the sandwiches and taking a huge bite. “Ooh, these are good!”
“Part of me just wants to take another day to relax,” Ariana said as she leisurely stretched her arms up over her head. “But I did promise Cordelia…”
“We’ll go,” I promised. “Just five more minutes…”
I loved hanging out in Ariana’s chambers, which she dried out using a combination of a drainage system she’d designed for the palace and magic that made everything in the room dry, warm, and fluffy.
And I loved sitting around and hanging out with my wives, though I definitely started fantasizing about their bodies if we lounged around for too long. Case in point, I reached my hand down around Jessamine’s perfect breast, and she pinched me.
“Later, Joe!” Jessamine giggled, but when she glanced up at me through her thick, dark eyelashes, I could tell she meant her promise. Then she took one final, delicate bite of her sandwich, set her plate down on the table, and stood up.
“Are we going to go, then?” Cienna stretched and stood up, too. “I suppose we’re going to need to put our swimming gear back on. Although, I wouldn’t mind a new swimsuit, while we’re doing this whole changing clothes thing.”
“No problem!” Jessamine replied, and she winked at Cienna. “What color? Red? Purple?”
“You know how I feel about blue,” the blonde laughed, and before I had a chance to blink, Jessamine had outfitted her in one of the smallest bikinis I’d ever seen. The strings of fabric barely covered Cienna’s nipples or her ass, but I wasn’t complaining.
“Should we all wear one like that today?” Jessamine asked with a grin. “Joe, you should see the look on your face right now.”
“I love my wives, what can I say?” I stood up and smirked.
In a flash, Jessamine had clothed herself and Ariana in similar styles to what Cienna had on, except in turquoise and pale green. All the exposed skin made my skin burn, and I cleared my throat and averted my eyes before all my blood could flow south.
“I’m going to need to use my tail again soon,” Ariana laughed, “but the top can stay. Here, let me get our armor out.”
After digging in a drawer for a moment, the mermaid pulled out four shirts created from an old fishing net and fortified to be as strong as metal. We all put on the mail, and then Jessamine grabbed her scimitars, Ariana picked up her trident, and Cienna got her sleek longsword. Then I patted Genie’s Wrath on my belt, which was the huge, golden sword inlaid with a magic purple stone that was seemingly tied to my destiny as Fairyland’s hero of legend.
After we were all armed and armored, Ariana cast her mermaid’s kiss spell on us, which enabled the rest of us to breathe underwater and swim more easily through the currents. Then the mermaid grabbed the kit she wanted to use to test crops for poison and opened the door to her chamber, which led from the top of a tall white coral tower directly out into the ocean, and chilly seawater started to rush back in.
I knew I would get used to the temperature of the water after a few seconds, but the first hit always felt a bit frigid.
“Brrr.” I shivered, and I pulled Cienna in for a quick hug to warm me up as the water rose in the room.
Ariana changed her legs back into her mermaid tail, and her scales’ shimmering tones of purple, blue, and green coordinated with her skimpy bikini top.
“Are we ready to go?” Jessamine asked.
“Yes, let’s go see how Cordelia is doing,” the redhead replied.
“Let’s do this!” I said with a grin, and we all swam out of the room.
After Ariana lifted the palace’s magic shield, we headed through the ocean away from the palace and out toward the farmland where Cordelia’s house sat. Mermaid’s kiss was the perfect magical solution to breathing underwater, and I’d almost gotten used to spending nearly all my time being wet, but the fact I actually got to experience and explore an underwater kingdom never ceased to amaze me. The rainbow colors of the reefs that surrounded Ariana’s palace blew my mind with the diverse sea creatures they contained, from brightly-hued anemones to fish, eels, rays, and other aquatic creatures in all shapes and sizes. There were aspects of Ariana’s world I could never have imagined back home in LA, which included creatures like jewel-toned dolphins and the giant seahorses that pulled chariots.
All in all, being under the sea had been an incredible experience.
“Let’s head to the seafloor,” Ariana suggested as she led us down through the salty current. “I want to get a firsthand look at the damage Morgar caused, so we can best assess how to help our people.”
“It looks like a lot of rebuilding is being done already,” I remarked, since I could see crews of merpeople working on homes and farmers re-plowing fields that had been destroyed.
“Yes, our merpeople are so resilient,” Ariana replied with a slightly-quivering lip. “They have been through so much with the recent attacks, and I am so impressed by how quickly they are working to fix our kingdom.”
“You’re all so brave,” I told my red-haired wife and squeezed her hand. “I’m so proud of the way you stood up to Morgar.”
“That was largely thanks to you, my hero,” Ariana said as a flush rose up from her chest. “You know I couldn’t have done it without you, and Jessamine and Cienna, too, of course.”
“What are you two talking about?” Jessamine asked as she swam a little closer to us and giggled. “I thought I heard you say how awesome we are, and I agree!”
“Yeah, our team is pretty much the best,” I said to my wives, and I shot them each a smile. “The best at fighting, the best at winning, and definitely the best looking.”
“That’s the truth!” Cienna flashed us a bright white smile. “Team Joe is both tough and sexy.”
I reflected for a moment on how lucky I was to be surrounded by a group of women who were not only beautiful but badass, smart, and kind. Getting to fuck princesses was really only the icing on the cake.
We reached Cordelia’s home in just a few minutes and swam lower so we could inspect the work being done to repair the structure and check in on the young family. The brunette mermaid was outside talking to some of the workers, and her young son was playing with a ball nearby. The last time we’d seen Cordelia at her house, she’d been totally despondent, and it was wonderful to see signs of hope and progress in the kingdom. She’d seemed to recover slightly while she’d been staying at the palace, but her husband had gone missing prior to Morgar’s attack on her home, and we hadn’t heard news about whether or not he’d returned.
As we approached the farmhouse, Jessamine, Cienna, and I flipped the switches on the special leg armor Ariana had developed, which let us sink down to walk along the ocean floor, and the redhead swam alongside us.
“Cordelia!” Ariana called out, and the brown-haired mermaid looked up at us heading in her direction. “How are things going?”
“Oh, Your Highness, thank you so much for coming to see me again.” The brown-haired mermaid bowed and smiled brightly. Then she gestured to her house, which was about halfway repaired. “The reconstruction is going really well, and I have the most wonderful news! My husband, Kai, has just returned. Well, he’s out again at the moment, but I was so relieved to hear he’d just gotten lost on a fishing trip. Not that being gone from your family for a week isn’t terrible, but we were so relieved it wasn’t Morgar… I do apologize, I know I’m rambling. Can I offer you something to eat or drink?”
“That’s the most wonderful news about Kai!” Ariana exclaimed with a slight catch in her voice. “I hope I get a chance to meet him. We just ate breakfast, but thank you so much for your hospitality. For the time being, would you mind if I inspected the fields behind your home? I’m working on a system to determine if the poison is gone from the kingdom’s crops.
“Of course, Your Highness,” Cordelia replied. “Here, let me show you around back.”
“I’m sure we can find the crops,” Ariana responded in a kind tone. “You can stay here and watch your son.”
With a smile and a wave to the little boy, who looked at us solemnly as he clutched his ball, my red-haired wife led us around the back of the small house. The other two princesses and I attempted to walk at first, but although the magic leg armor felt practically weightless, it was definitely easier to swim than try to plod along the ground, so we switched off the weighted armor again.
When we reached the field, which really wasn’t more than a large garden, Ariana looked over the plants that were growing there. There were rows of kelp in all colors of the rainbow, which I knew could be made into delicious salads, and rows of bright green leaves that looked like the tops of carrots and turnips. Brightly colored seaberries grew from bushes, and small trees bore what looked like tiny lemons.
“How does your testing system work?” Jessamine wondered.
“Well, I thought I could use this needle I developed to extract material from the plants…” Ariana began, and she ruffled around in her bag before pulling out a device that looked remarkably like a modern-day syringe. “And then I can mix the extracts with special chemicals to see if there’s still poison present.”
“Damn, you’re so smart,” I marveled.
“I just like to figure things out,” Ariana said as she shrugged and shyly bent her head. “I would do anything to help my kingdom.”
The ocean floor behind Cordelia’s land was rocky and dense with seaweed and other underwater plants, and I noticed Cienna staring off in that direction.
“What are you looking at?” I asked my blonde wife.
“I’m… I’m not sure,” she replied as her brow furrowed. “I thought I saw some strange movement over there that wasn’t just the plants waving in the current. I was thinking of heading over and checking it out…”
“Not without me, you’re not,” I snorted. “The last thing I want is for you to head off into trouble alone. Let me come with you.”
“Here, I’ll come, too,” Jessamine offered as she placed one hand on each scimitar. “Ariana, you stay here and look at the crops.”
“Okay, but call out to me if you need me,” the red-haired mermaid said, although she sounded a little distracted as she fussed around with her needle and her chemicals.
