part #2 of Looting the 13th Floor Series
She probably needed all the rest she could get after last night’s red-hot fun, and I crept over the creakiest floorboards to grab my pants. I pulled my cell out to see a message from my uncle on the screen.
Of course, you can come over! Your old uncle still has a few tricks he can teach ya! Girls can come, too. Drive over whenever.
I grinned as I read the message. This weekend was going to get even more awesome.
Buying a new apartment, fucking my cat-girl senseless, and now shooting practice? Life really couldn’t get any more awesome.
I yawned as I crept out to the living room and found Kali fast asleep on the sofa. She had the throw still pulled over her petite frame, and she let out tiny snores with each deep breath. The nymph looked undeniably gorgeous on my crappy sofa, and I wondered if she had heard any of the noise from the bedroom the night before.
She must have had some idea of what I was getting up to with Cleo. After all, she had helped pick out the cat-girl’s lingerie.
My mind raced back to the kiss Kali had given me a few nights ago. I wished I could show her exactly how amazing I could make her feel, too.
I went into the bathroom and started the shower as I brushed my teeth. Steam filled up the room as I moved under the crappy water pressure, but I still grinned as I thought of my new place. I would need to pack soon so we could actually get moved in.
But my first issue to deal with today would be getting us to my uncle’s ranch. It was about a four-hour drive to Vegas from my place, and I didn’t have a car. My brain automatically thought of how long I would need to save up to get one of my own, but then I remembered: I was fucking rich with Hollowfell money.
Maybe a brand-new ride would be my next big purchase.
On the other hand, Elijah would probably lend me his car if he wasn’t using it. If not, I could always rent something.
I scrubbed myself clean before I stepped out and grabbed a towel, and I opened the door to find Kali sleepily rubbing her eyes.
“Morning,” I said gently so I didn’t startle her. “Did you sleep okay?”
“Good morning,” the nymph yawned as she sat up. “Yes I di— oh!”
Her blue eyes widened as she looked at my bare torso, and her pale cheeks turned the same pink shade as her hair.
“Sorry,” I said. “I’ll go put some clothes on.”
“Don’t be sorry,” Kali said as she blinked rapidly. “You look really great! Um, not that I was looking!”
Her eyes hovered on my arms as she twirled a pink curl between her fingers. I got the feeling she was intrigued to see what was under the towel, and I would be more than willing to show her. Maybe she had picked out some new underwear, too.
“I’ll wait here while you get dressed,” Kali squeaked, but her eyes stayed lingering on my chest.
“Sure,” I said with a slight grin. “See you in a sec… you look beautiful today, by the way.”
“So do you…” the nymph half-sighed.
I chuckled and walked into the bedroom as my head spun with thoughts of pulling the Dusk Nymph close. Cleo was stretching as I closed the door, and her naked form was the most beautiful sight in the morning. Beams of sunlight fell over her tanned body and almost made her skin sparkle.
“Morning,” she purred. “Liam, I feel amazing. Last night felt like magic.”
“It did,” I said as I jumped onto the bed beside her, and she giggled as the mattress made her bounce.
I kissed her deeply as I roamed my hands over her glorious tits, and her tail curled around her body. She purred happily as I stroked the silky fur in a methodical rhythm. It almost felt as intimate as sex itself, and I let her purrs build even louder as she clung to me.
“What a way to wake up,” I sighed. “Soon we’ll be doing this in a bed three times this size.”
“I can’t wait,” Cleo purred. “Do you think Kali will come and join us in bed when we live in the big house?”
“Maybe,” I said with a casual shrug. “Would you like that?”
“Yes,” Cleo giggled. “She is my friend and very pretty! I think she very much wants to join us.”
“Really?” I asked.
“Of course,” the cat-girl chuckled. “She thinks you are as wonderful as I do. I’ve seen how she looks at you.”
“Maybe soon.” I grinned.
“Hopefully soon…” Cleo stretched as she stood up, and the sun was like a spotlight behind her that made her figure glow. She purred as she pulled on her casual black dress and ran a hand through her silky hair. I took my towel off as Cleo purred some more, and she didn’t stop staring as I got dressed.
“Come on,” I chuckled. “Let’s go and join our nymph.”
We went back through to the living room and found Kali had neatly folded her blanket up. Her wings sparkled behind her as Cleo jumped onto the sofa to join her.
“So,” I said. “My uncle is up for us driving to his ranch today for some shooting practice.”
“Oooh!” Cleo said with wide eyes. “We get to try and shoot the guns!”
“Is that safe?” Kali asked nervously. “I have never used a human weapon before, and that one you used was sooo loud.”
“I’ll be right with you.” I nodded. “So will my uncle, and he’s crazy good with guns. I would never put you in danger, okay?”
“I know,” she said and bit her lip. “I didn’t mean to imply that, it’s just that guns look awfully difficult to control. But I know you’ll keep me safe. I’ll give it a try!”
“Yes!” Cleo hissed. “I wish to use the human death weapons. The way they blast into the gargoyles like cannons is so enticing.”
Her golden eyes glinted as she glanced at the rucksack full of guns, and I chuckled at her adorable bloodlust.
“We need to get there first,” I said. “I’ll text Elijah and see if we can use his car.”
“Cab?” Cleo suggested, and she looked very proud of herself for having mastered that word.
“That would be a hell of a fare,” I said. “I know I’m rich, but spending thousands on a cab is probably not a wise use of the cash.”
I messaged Elijah to see what he was up to, and I opened the curtains to let sunlight pour in. My buddy was so thrilled with my Hollowfell hauls so far that he would probably happily give me anything I needed right now.
And I was certainly itching to get back into that magical world of treasure and monsters. There was so much gold and loot to take from the evil fuckers that hoarded it all. Not to mention the other trophy girls who were trapped by rich assholes.
Kali had begged me to help others like her, and I had of course agreed. Saving monster girls from that evil fate was just as rewarding as the gold, and I hated to think of how many women were being displayed in gargoyle living rooms.
Hollowfell was the most dangerous place I had ever been to, but it was also the most amazing. There were countless exotic women and treasures waiting for me there, but I needed my two monster women to be ready to shoot the fuck out of any enemies we encountered before we headed back to the thirteenth floor.
My phone buzzed and pulled me out of my thoughts as I looked down to see Elijah’s reply.
No worries, dude. I won’t need it this weekend, and I’m gonna look for something new soon anyway. You should do the same! I can drive over and drop it off? Going to see a buddy over your way today anyway.
“We got a car,” I announced to the girls. “Elijah’s going to swing by and drop it off.”
Kali’s stomach rumbled, and she turned pink as she glanced down at her flat belly.
“Or maybe we should meet him at a breakfast place,” I chuckled. “I can’t have my ladies shooting on an empty stomach!”
“Sorry,” Kali groaned with embarrassment. “I’ve just gotten used to eating regularly now. The pirates only fed me once a day, but now my appetite is on a different schedule.”
“Me, too.” Cleo nodded. “Liam gives us lovely meals, and I was so used to starving until I managed to master how to hunt.”
My heart broke to think of the two beauties being hungry and afraid. It made my blood boil as I pictured the leering pirates and greedy gargoyles who’d forced them into that kind of life. Those assholes had made the monster girls’ lives miserable for long enough.
But now they had me.
“Let’s go and eat,” I said as I grabbed my jacket and the gun-filled rucksack. “The two most important women in the universe need their breakfast.”
Cleo leapt to her feet with a purr, and Kali stood up as she wiped her eyes.
“Sorry,” the nymph said with a sniff. “I just keep getting emotional when I think of all that you’ve done for me. For us.”
“You are endlessly welcome,” I said and stroked her arm. “Now, let’s stop that tummy from rumbling.”
The girls practically skipped out of the door as I checked that I had my wallet, and we raced down the dirty stairwell. Kali’s wings vanished instantly as she became undetectable as a magical creature.
“Will you miss this house?” Cleo asked as we left the building. “It does not have an outside inside, but it was still your home. And it is a good one.”
I glanced up at the grubby stonework and shook my head.
“It was a good enough place to be in,” I said. “For a guy with no money and endless debt. But it was never the life I wanted.”
“Now you have that life you wanted!” Kali said excitedly. “Because you have a fancy rich human house!”
“Fuck yeah, I do,” I chuckled as we walked down the street. “But the best thing in my new life is you two. No competition.”
“Of course,” Cleo said as she flicked her hair. “We are both very hot and wonderful.”
I snorted at the cat-girl’s well-earned confidence, and Kali giggled as she smoothed down her short skirt.
“Hot and wonderful,” I repeated. “That’s exactly what you are. Go on, Kali. Say it!”
The sun was shining down on the adorable nymph’s blonde hair as she bounced along the street. She blushed slightly, but she threw her hands up as she cried out to the sky.
“I am hot and wonderful!” Kali called right as a Porsche sped by.
“Yeah, you are!” a young guy behind the wheel yelled out, and the girls collapsed into a fit of giggles.
I rolled my eyes at the guy’s shit-eating grin, but then I eyed his car more closely.
A Porsche was not a bad option. Not bad at all.
I texted Elijah where to meet us as we turned the corner beside the cafe I had in mind. It was a simple diner-style place with sleek black tables and red booths. A pretty blonde girl in denim shorts greeted us as we stepped inside, and she grabbed three menus.
“Hey,” she said. “This way.”
She blew a pink bubble with her gum as she led us to a booth, and I let the girls slide in together before I sat opposite them.
“Super cute cosplay,” the waitress said to Cleo. “My cousin does it, but hers is nowhere near as realistic as yours. Like, you actually look like a cat-girl.”
“Thank you,” Cleo said brightly, and I could tell she was so proud of how well she’d gotten the hang of conversations like this. “My ears came from the internet! On a computer! They are better than others.”
“Rad,” the waitress said as she glanced at Kali. “You’re adorable, too.”
The nymph smiled at the compliment, and the server strode off without another word. We had only just started to study the menus when I heard the deep boom of Elijah’s voice.
“Dude,” my buddy said, and I looked up to see him stride over with a huge grin.
He was as well-kept as always, but slightly more casual than most days. His white shirt was neatly tucked into very expensive-looking jeans, and I just knew his black sneakers cost as much as a month’s rent at my shitty apartment. Elijah’s brown beard had been shortened and shaped, and he swiped designer sunglasses from his face.
“Dude,” he repeated as I got up to greet him, and he grabbed me into a bear hug.
“Buddy,” I chuckled as I pulled back. “Let me introduce you to my friends. This is Cleo and Kali.”
“It’s an honor to meet you… finally.” Elijah grinned and sent me a discreet wink. “What are a couple of stunners like you doing with this guy?”
“Stunners?” Cleo asked curiously.
“It means hot,” I chuckled. “Uh, Cleo’s Spanish, so her English isn’t perfect. Kali’s Russian, so same deal.”
Elijah nodded as he sat down beside me, and he ruffled my messy hair with a sigh.
“Dad’s asking when he’ll next hear from you,” he said quietly. “Any ideas?”
“Soon.” I grinned.
“Liam bought a big house,” Cleo declared proudly. “With an outside inside!”
“A balcony,” I said quickly. “Yeah, it’s just a rental, but I’m moving into one of the penthouses over by Primrose.”
“Holy shit!” Elijah snorted. “The ones with the doormen? Dude! Are you serious?”
“Yup.” I grinned. “First big spending spree.”
The waitress suddenly appeared beside us as she tapped her pen against her notepad.
“Hey,” she drawled. “Ready?”
“Sure,” I said. “I’ll just have the breakfast burrito and an iced coffee.”
“Same,” Elijah said.
“Yes.” Cleo nodded. “Burrito. But please can we have the coffee that does not taste bad?”
“She wants syrup,” I chuckled.
“Me, too!” Kali agreed. “Syrup coffee!”
The waitress nodded and shuffled toward the red kitchen doors.
“Well, that was cute,” Elijah said as he sat back, and I snickered in agreement. “I see why you’ve been hanging around with these two way more than me lately. Where are you guys headed this weekend?”
“My Uncle Spencer’s place,” I said. “Haven’t seen him in ages, and we wanted to take a little trip.”
“That guy is awesome,” Elijah chuckled. “I’ve only met him once, but damn he’s funny.”
The waitress appeared quickly with our drinks, and I double-checked that the rucksack was safely under the table. Our food arrived shortly after, and we filled up on meat-and-cheese filled wraps.
The whole time we ate, Elijah had fun asking the girls simple questions to see if he could suss out how they each felt about me, and it was less than subtle. At one point, he flat-out turned to Kali and asked her if she thought I was more handsome than him, and Kali assured him through a mouthful of burrito that I was the most handsome human guy she’d ever seen.
I snorted into my coffee at the look on Elijah’s face, but my friend seemed more than pleased with the nymph’s answer.
Then he spent the rest of the meal sending me extremely pointed looks that seemed to say, “you are absolutely sharing more details about your life with me soon.”
When we finished our food, I felt ready to take my girls on their first trip out of L.A..
“Let’s get going,” I said. “It’s a long drive ahead.”
“Guns.” Cleo nodded stoically, and Elijah burst out laughing all over again.
“Yeah, you’re heading to the right place,” he assured the woman.
We got up as I swung the rucksack over my shoulders, and we headed outside into the glaring sun. It was another stunning day as people wandered by in hotpants and flip-flops. Elijah was parked nearby, and he threw me his key fob as we wandered over to his car. It was a sleek Mercedes hatchback in glistening black, and I got the sudden urge to go car shopping.
“You need to get yourself a ride, dude,” he said. “You can’t roll up to your penthouse without a sick car to match it.”
“I know,” I chuckled. “Don’t worry, that’s next on the list. You might need to help me. Expensive cars aren’t really my area of expertise.”
“Sure thing, bro.” Elijah nodded. “Can’t wait to get you into something sleek and sexy. But we’ll need to talk pretty soon, dude. My dad has some suggestions about things you should get done. Like, ASAP.”
“Things?” I asked with a raised eyebrow. “What does that mean?”
“Official shit,” he said quietly. “You know we aren’t going to ask awkward questions, but you need to keep yourself safe in case other people do. Government kind of people. You’re raking in a looooot of cash, my dude. Gotta cover your tracks.”
“Ah,” I said. “Gotcha. Yeah, I’ll talk with him soon.”
“Awesome.” Elijah winked. “We want to keep this operation running as smoothly as possible. See you later, dude. Let me know when you can drop the car back off. Nice to meet you, ladies!”
“Bye!” Kali called happily. “Thank you for the car!”
“Yep! Oh, I almost forgot,” Elijah said and turned to Cleo. “Which of us is more handsome, me or–”
Cleo raised a hand to silence the man. “Do not be a fool. Liam is superior to everyone.”
Elijah raised his eyebrows at me in that same pointed way of his, and I shrugged as casually as possible. Then my friend waved as he strode down the street and pulled out his phone to take a call.
“Who wants to ride shotgun?” I chuckled, and the girls stared at me blankly.
“Shotgun,” Cleo said slowly. “That is what we are going to use at your uncle’s house?”
“Who wants to sit in front?” I chuckled. “You can take turns if you want. We can switch who sits where on the way back home.”
“Cleo can go first,” Kali said. “I’m still finding it a bit odd being inside these contraptions!”
I opened the doors for the girls, and I placed my rucksack in the seat beside the nymph. Cleo studied the sunroof curiously as I got into the driver’s seat, and I took a second to get adjusted to the car.
“There,” I said as I pointed to a red button. “Press that.”
Cleo examined the button before she carefully pushed it down, and she gasped as the sunroof began to move. Kali jumped out of her seat with a terrified squeal, and I leaned back to grab her hand.
“It’s okay,” I said. “It just lets some light and warmth in while we drive.”
“Ohhhh,” the nymph said as she stared up. “Wow! That is beautiful!”
