Accomplishing the huge feat of completing of our first book could not have been realized without some incredible friends and colleagues who have each played pivotal roles in our own story.
Kalyna Kutny for prodding us forward past our fears and uncertainty. Jennifer Smith for sharing your gifting, direction, experience and creativity. Stephen Parolini for jumping in on the journey and encouraging and inspiring the final spice and flavor. Dan Raines for your wisdom and pushing us even further than we could have imagined. Emily Coey for what so many said couldn’t be done—we have lyrics in our story! Aaron and Jen Sanders for being our cheerleaders when we felt like giving up. You believed in us more than we believed in ourselves. And a very special thank you to Amy Grant for providing counsel in our darkest hour that saved us and unlocked this wild story within.
Our greatest gratitude to our God who takes shattered and irreparable pieces and carefully rearranges them to create something unimaginable to change our lives for the good. Hope was whispered in the middle of our darkness.

About the Author
R.J. Halbert is a husband and wife team who have collaborated on a fantastical story of mystery, suspense, endurance, and triumph in The Goodpasture Chronicles, an adventurous trilogy.
Jason Halbert, one-half of R.J. Halbert, is an Emmy and Grammy Award winning producer and songwriter. His songs have reached millions of listeners worldwide through multiple #1 and Platinum selling albums. In addition to his 20+ year career as Music Director and Producer for Kelly Clarkson, he has left his creative mark on numerous works in film and television, and as well as numerous recording artists over the years. When not creating music, he loves bee-keeping, Sci-Fi, and is known to be quite a storyteller.
After homeschooling their two children around the world on a tour bus, Rhonda Halbert, the second half of R.J. Halbert, has spent the past 10 years as a successful music and television manager, guiding her clients’ relationships with labels, networks, and producers. She is also a published photographer, music supervisor, passionate cook, garden enthusiast, and spiritual practitioner.
Together, Jason and Rhonda have woven their 30+ years of life together into a riveting story, based somewhat on truth and experience, but even more so, brimming with imagination.
