Claudyem met Aeyser's smiling face. She grinned back. “Let's go home.” That's how she felt. Her home was next to Aeyser—her partner.

  CHAPTER 53

  Claudyem

She was about to tell Aeyser not to go out, that there was no need for him to go hunting, since they had the cave/fridge full of meat, but she bit her tongue and opted to send him off with a smile and a promise that when he returned, they would bathe together.

Her partner was a predator and, as such, he needed to track prey and hunt them down to appease his instinct and feel fulfilled as a food provider.

She was curious about that side of him; how he swelled with pride every time he brought her a piece of meat and placed it at her feet, spreading it out before indicating that he had had a good hunt. It was a good thing that the temperature of the cave where the meat was kept was several tens of degrees lower, otherwise he would have a real issue when the pieces began to rot.

Claudyem looked around and let out a sigh. She had been doing the same thing for five days. As soon as she woke, she would kiss Aeyser desperately, moaning for him to make her his, and then she would doze for a while until the smell of grilled meat woke her up. She was grateful that Aeyser had learned to cook, and no longer suffered from a paralyzing fear of fire, although he still was careful around the flames, building the fire as far away as possible from what he called the nest. The care with which he tended the blaze, adding the wood as if he were defusing a bomb, was very soft, in slow motion, and from a safe distance, and he would sigh in relief when he saw that nothing strange was happening.

As soon as Claudyem finished eating, she convinced Aeyser to accompany her to the pool for a morning swim. He didn't resist very much and, although he didn't want to confess it, he was very vain and always tried to make his scales look as good as possible, to make them shine and attract her attention.

Many times, she wanted to tell him that there was no need for all that, but she would not give up the opportunity to take a bath with him. She loved watching him in the water, wagging his tail from side to side as if he were dancing. It was a spectacle that drove her crazy with desire.

And yes, sex in the water was the best, she had to admit. The contrast of the water with her burning body made her moan and, also, to feel how Aeyser encircled her with his tail in such a way that she could not move. In those moments, she was completely dependent on him - she was at his mercy, trapped under his body, while he conquered her with his onslaught. And the bastard, who knew what she liked, tortured her when he slowed down the rhythm—when he moved slowly, barely coming out a few centimeters to plunge deep inside her, making her moan and scream his name, demanding more.

There were times when he managed to make her lose control and bring her to orgasm hard and fast, but at other times, Aeyser enjoyed making her moan, whimper and beg, driving her to near orgasm only to suddenly stop, kiss her and start again, prolonging that delicious torture until her body broke into thousands of pieces with the best pleasure in the world.

Several times a day, she was tempted to pinch herself to make sure if what she was experiencing was real; it was silly to feel that way, but she couldn't help it. She had never fallen in love, nor enjoyed sex as she did with Aeyser; with him there was no shame, no doubts, he always managed to make her feel sexy, and encouraged her to tell him what she wanted, what she liked and let her be the one to decide if she was ready to receive his two cocks or just one of them. He liked to play with both; although to do that, Aeyser had to prepare her, something he enjoyed and did very well; what he could achieve with that tongue...was something out of this world.

I'd better wise up and stop thinking, Claudyem said to herself, trying to push the memories of all the times Aeyser had made the world explode around her and melt for him, screaming his name and begging for more.

She decided to stoke the fire, threw in another branch, and took a seat in front of the flames. The warmth flooded her, and she smiled with happiness. Yes, she should be doing a thousand things, like trying to return to civilization, but...in that cave, while she watched the flames dancing, she was...happy.

Aeyser was the source of her happiness; he was everything she’d always dreamed of and never knew how to describe. That honorable male, with a peculiar sense of humor, went out of his way to make her happy and loved learning the new things she taught him and discovering what she liked. He listened to her attentively when she told him about her past, her years at the Academy, and how she felt lonely despite being surrounded by other children, orphaned as she was. She confessed to him things she had not dared to tell anyone, not even her best friend. He watched her silently, without reproaching her, without judging her, without cutting her off as she told him her secrets and her nightmares. He would simply caress her cheek gently and tell her that he was very proud of her, that he loved her and wouldn't change her for anything in the world because she was his whole life and, every day he spent by her side, he fell more in love with her, giving her both his hearts completely.

Who would have imagined that, together with Aeyser, she would begin to believe in lifelong love, in the existence of a soul mate? If there was such a thing, a magic that united two souls forever, she had undoubtedly found hers.

In order not to succumb to homesickness over the absence of her companion, Claudyem got up, went to the blanket in which she had wrapped the things she retrieved from her ship, rummaged through them and pulled out the handheld intercom.

“Are you going to try to contact Anusha?”

Claudyem smiled at the voice of her personal assistant.

“Oh, now you're talking to me again? You've been completely silent for several days. I thought your batteries had run out,” she joked, before pressing several buttons on the intercom without getting any response.

“Yeah, right. When do you want me to greet you? When you yell at Aeyser to fuck you harder? Or when you tell him his tongue is addictive because of how well he licks your...?”

“Shut up! Why do you always make me regret having chosen you? If I could take you away, I...”

“You would miss me terribly. I am your virtual husband. Don't forget that.”

Claudyem shook her head and sighed, before breaking the security tabs on the device in her hands. She needed to examine the device. It was a very basic model, the cheapest on the market, and it almost looked like a toy, but there was no point in acquiring a good quality one, since in the middle of a mission it could break. When the last tab fell, the front cover came off without a problem, exposing the inside. For a few seconds, she silently contemplated the tangle of wires of different colors and different chips, cursing herself for not having tools to be able to investigate it and check that it was in perfect condition.

  “Claudyem, did you hear me?”

  “Yes.”

“You're not very talkative today, so don't complain about me keeping quiet while you play with your alien's tails.”

“Still checking each of the wires,” she answered X700. “You almost talk as if you’re jealous. Aren't you happy for me?”

“Yes, I'm very happy, but I also wish you would listen to me more. I miss when it was you and me alone against the world. Now, you can't stop thinking about that snake and how good he makes you feel.”

Claudyem left the mechanical innards of the communication device on the floor and closed her eyes. “I don't understand why we are having this conversation. You can't be jealous. You are incapable of feeling emotions, you are nothing more than...”

“What? Yes, I can. I'm much more than a device inserted into your mind. I have a conscience and I'm proving it to you. Besides, if I had my own body, I could walk away and leave you alone while you play with your alien.”

She burst out laughing at the turn of that conversation. It had already seemed strange to her that he didn't bring up that subject.

“Come on, you're a pain in the ass. I can't buy you a body. They are too expensive, and I don't have that many credits right now.”

  “Yeah, whatever you say.”

When she saw that X700 was silent again, she relented. “It's alright. As soon as I get some money, I'll buy you a body so you can stop whining and trying to manipulate me to get your way.”

“Well, let's get started; the sooner you get home, the sooner you can do it,” his mechanical voice sounded happy.

Claudyem picked up the base again and ran a finger along the various wires. “I don't know if I want to go home. There, nothing awaits me but...”

“Connect the loose red wire,” her virtual assistant interrupted her, drawing her attention to the wire. Apparently, he didn't seem to want her to express aloud her greatest fear: returning to what her life was before she met Aeyser.

Claudyem let out a squeal as she realized that it was true: the red wire was disconnected from the base. She plugged it back in and put the cover back on carefully since, with no tabs, she would not be able to manipulate it as before without fear of it coming apart.

She set it down and waited a few seconds before pressing the power button; she shouted with joy as she saw the light blinking, indicating that it had power.

“Don't waste time and send a message to Anusha!” she was snapped out of her thoughts by X700.

So, she did. One by one she pressed the numbers on her friend's communicator and, when she initiated the device, she hit record and then spoke into the device:

“Anusha, it's me, Claudyem. My ship was attacked, and I crashed on a primitive planet. I'm fine, but I need help to get out because my ship is disabled. I'm going to send you the coordinates so you can come and get me but remember they have put a price on my head. Don't let them follow you and...No! Not now!” she shouted as the light turned from green to yellow. Before it went out completely, she pressed the "Send" button in the hope that the unfinished message would reach its intended recipient.

“Now it’s dead; do you think Anusha will get the message?”

“I don't know, X700; I hope so.” But inwardly she didn't care if she received it or not because she didn't want to face the moment of saying goodbye to Aeyser. She knew she wouldn't be happy if she left him. If she did, she would leave her heart behind and dream every day of returning to his side.

“Claudyem, watch out!” The cry of her virtual assistant frightened her. When she was about to ask what was going on, he continued, “Someone is entering the cave; hide!”

She stood up and looked around. She hadn't heard anything, and Aeyser used to greet her when she moved the stone at the entrance.

“How can they get in if we are in a cave?” she exclaimed, although fate took care of answering her question.

Suddenly, she heard a creaking sound coming from the ceiling. She looked up and shrieked as she saw a face peering through the hole connecting the cave to the outside.

That face, smiling in a way that made her hair stand on end. His features reminded her of Aeyser, but it wasn't him—his eyes were completely different as he watched her with a malicious gleam that sent shivers of pure terror down her spine.

“Run!” X700 didn't need to say it twice.

Her whole being was screaming to run away; that this stranger wanted to hurt her; and for nothing in the world, would she stay to see if her instincts were wrong or not.

  CHAPTER 54

  Claudyem

Claudyem’s footsteps echoed through the main grotto as she reached the corridor of the labyrinth. She didn't even dare to look back to check if he was chasing her; she was aware of it, as she could hear the splash of water as the intruder slipped through the opening in the ceiling and dropped into the lagoon. He had entered. She was a goner if she didn't manage to hide.

I need a place to hide. I can't face him, she thought in desperation, noticing that her breathing and heartbeat were getting faster and faster. Fear gave her the strength to keep moving. Although Claudyem had spent her adult life fighting in such situations, she always had an escape plan, as well as being armed to the teeth. Now, she found herself locked in a maze of caves with no way out and no weapon whatsoever.

She was screwed. She knew what the seerpes were capable of. There was no way she could stand up to them.

Aeyser, please come back! she cried to herself, noting the bitter taste of fear.

The first idea that crossed her mind was to go to the grotto she used as a bathroom because there was a hole with running water there, but she discarded that idea immediately, because she did not know if she would have a way out and she did not want to drown trying to escape. So, she decided to hide in the cave-fridge and cover herself with several pieces of meat to try to hide her scent. It was the best she could do in the circumstances in which she found herself.

She ran towards the room and entered, stumbling over a piece of prey that Aeyser had not yet prepared for consumption. She muttered a curse and got up, noticing that she had hurt her palms against a stone. She ignored the pain and moved carefully, sidestepping the chunks of flesh at the entrance to look for a corner to hide in. Without wasting time, she moved forward until she could go no further. Hearing hissing sounds nearby, she crouched down and knelt, looking around in anguish. She placed the piece of meat in front of her on her back, trying to hide herself so that its pungent smell of meat would confuse the seerpes.

She stood completely still when she heard the male's voice at the entrance of the grotto.

“Aeyser's female, ssshhh, mine. I fight for you. Gerdym, ssshhh, conquer Aeyser. You can't hide, ssshhh, female.”

Claudyem felt chills not only from his words but also from his tone; it was vicious, dark, and made her want to vomit. That male abhorred Aeyser, of that she was sure, and he was going to hurt him through her; and as for Gerdym, the mere mention of that female stoked her hatred. As soon as she had a weapon, she would finish her off so that she would stop pursuing Aeyser.

Claudyem remained very still, trying not to make any noise when she breathed. To do so, she had to cover her mouth because she was panting both from exhaustion and from the nerves and fear that gripped her inside.

She closed her eyes and prayed, something she had not done for a long time. She was trapped with no way out, at the mercy of a predator. It was like a nightmare come true.

“You can't hide from me, ssshhh, female Aeyser.”

She was about to squeal when she heard how the male began to throw chunks of flesh against the walls, freeing space to move around the grotto. He was going to get her! She couldn't stay crouched down, waiting for him to catch her.

“X700, I need your help,” she whispered hastily, after opening her eyes and looking at her hands. They were wounded, covered with blood that she knew was not hers, and they were shaking so badly that they made her want to cry.

She hoped her personal assistant understood her plea. The only option she had was for him to make that shrill sound again to knock the male out, run out of that grotto and find another place to hide, until Aeyser returned.

She felt ridiculous, desperate and overwhelmed, while fear exuded from every pore of her skin. She knew that she would not be able to hide from the seerpes, even though she still harbored that hope deep down inside. The seerpes possessed tracking abilities beyond her imagination, so she didn't stand a chance.

  “Understood.” She heard X700's voice.

And it was just in time because, at that moment, the piece of meat she was hiding under flew away from her, crashing hard against the wall. Claudyem turned and found the face of the seerpes staring back at her, wearing a smile that sent shivers down her spine.

  “I found you.”

Her shrieks, as she was lifted off the ground, intermingled with the shrill sound that erupted from inside her thanks to X700.

Being inside a grotto, with stone walls, the sound bounced all around with such force that it surprised her enemy, who released her, put his hands to his head and closed his eyes in fury.

Claudyem fell to her knees, hurting herself as she hit the ground, but thanks to the fear and adrenaline coursing through her body, she managed to get to her feet and tried to run away.

Unfortunately, she did not succeed. As soon as she moved, the seerpes grabbed her arm with real hatred, lifted her up, and slammed her against the wall of the entrance.

The blow knocked the air out of her. She screamed when she tried to move, as she had dislocated her shoulder and felt blood in her head; but all was forgotten when she saw the seerpes advancing towards her.

Why wasn't he affected by the sound like Aeyser?

She sat up and felt the ground with the hand she could move. Her other arm felt heavy, sore, and as if a blaze of fire was burning it from the inside.

She found a stone. She gripped it tightly, hissing as she felt a pebble of grit embed itself in her palm. She was going to use the rock as a weapon.

“Louder, X700!” she ordered before the seerpes male lunged for her. He grabbed her shoulders, causing Claudyem to scream in agony as he squeezed her too hard. Her dislocated shoulder felt like pure fire.

  “Silence!”

“No!” howled Claudyem before swinging her good arm angrily to hit his abdomen with the stone.

  “Ssshhh, Aeyser, female, ssshhh.”

She didn't even care if he meant to insult her or threaten her, or both at the same time. She only wanted to hurt him so that he would let go and run away.

She was unlucky, though, because the male crouched down and sank his fangs into her shoulder, surprising her. As soon as his teeth penetrated her flesh, Claudyem dropped the stone to the ground and uttered a screech so high-pitched that it silenced the sound still emitted by X700.

The pain of the bite was nothing compared to the agony of feeling his venom. It was as if an acid burned her flesh and affected every nerve in her body, causing her to howl in pure pain and her brain threatened to shut down lest she succumb to such torture.

Just when she thought she couldn't take it anymore, something hit her and freed her from that torment. She noticed how she flew and fell on something soft. She could not identify the cushioned object, nor did she care. She only felt...pain.
