Maccoy, page 11
We hug one another tight for a few more breaths before Elodie pulls away. “Okay, that’s enough, ma chouette. Let’s head for the backyard and let me get married before I shed a tear and look like a raccoon while I marry your father.”
I pull back and take her face in my hands. “You look stunning. And just to state the obvious? My father would marry you if you had a towel wrapped around your body and another one around your hair, raccoon eyes and all.”
She rolls her eyes but I swear she murmurs, “I’m pretty sure he would.”
We slip out of the room and head for the backyard where the guys are waiting. My father asked Elodie to marry him about two months ago. He actually asked me first if I was okay with him stealing my friend.
Seeing those two grow close and hitting it off when they first met was all the reason I needed to tell my father I wasn’t expecting anything less. Like I said; they deserve their share of happiness. I’m just thankful to be alive to witness all of it.
Talking about being thankful to be alive, my gaze hits the man who is the center of my life; Maccoy. He’s looking mighty fine in his black jeans, biker boots, cognac leather jacket and nothing underneath but his furry chest hair peeking out.
The corner of my mouth twitches at the reminder of how this was the exact same outfit he was wearing the day we met, minus the small tear in the sleeve, now sewn shut from where the knife hit him. He set my body aflame with one look and he’s still capable of doing so each day to the next.
Maccoy holds his hand out and my feet automatically close the distance between us. I let him pull me flush against his body. Today is not only the day my father marries Elodie but it’s also the day of a powershift within the MC.
Maccoy became the president of the MC today and my father stepped down. He’s still a member but now prefers to handle different tasks and less responsibility. He explained to me how it’s sort of a retirement. He wants to spend more time with Elodie and prefers working in the casino right next to her.
That’s another thing that changed. I used to be a workaholic but being confronted with the fact that life as you know it can be over in the blink of an eye, you respect time differently. It’s why I’ve cut my time working in half.
Since Elodie loves the same responsibilities in the casino as me, we share this job and it’s working out perfectly. So is the fact that the MC is still located at the top two floors of the casino. We’ve also bought a new property, the one where we are now. It’s basically a large farm out of the city where there’s a large backyard for barbecues and parties. Or a wedding for that matter.
Maccoy keeps his arms wrapped tightly around my body throughout the whole ceremony. One of the club brothers is ordained and it makes this wedding more personal to keep everything within the MC.
Sometimes I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that my mother ran from my father. The tragic and traumatic bomb that took my brother’s life is life-changing but I still can’t help but wonder what would have happened if she turned to her partner to stand strong together.
Would I’ve grown up differently? Would I have been born? Would we still be standing right here? I guess we never get answers to the whole “what-if” theory and it’s a good thing too. We shouldn’t dwell on the past or what could have been if things would have gone differently.
And in the end? The arms wrapped tightly around me give support, warmth, make me feel safe, comfortable. There is no other place I’d rather be than right here, with the man who holds my heart, the family who has engulfed me with their love, and who stand strong to face whatever comes our way.
“Not so fast,” Maccoy rumbles when I want to congratulate the happy couple.
I glance back at him but words fail me when I see him slowly descend to one knee. He shoves his hand into his pocket and holds out a ring that has laughter rip out of my body at full speed.
His raspy chuckle warms my heart and he gets to his feet, takes my hand, and slides the ring onto my finger. He doesn’t wait for me to give him a “Yes,” because he knows I love him no matter what and want to spend the rest of our lives together.
I glance down at the crystal clear cube ring where a large diamond sits in the middle with a smaller diamond to both the left and right. This ring is completely retro, or rather Maccoy’s style, and it couldn’t be more perfect.
Maccoy cups the back of my head and pulls me to him to give me a fierce kiss. I melt against him and grab the leather of his jacket to keep me grounded. The man has the ability to sweep me off my feet and throw me into a puddle of adoration.
He pulls back and gives me a satisfied smile. “Gonna make you mine in any way possible.”
“I’m already yours,” I murmur.
Elodie drags me away from Maccoy to give me a hug. It only lasts a few breaths and then she’s gripping my hand to bring it up to her face and inspects the ring. Laughter bubbles up as she shakes her head.
“So very fitting,” she murmurs and glances to her left where my father is standing with an approving look on his face.
“Agreed,” my dad says and holds out his arms.
I step forward and hug him tight. A lot has changed these past few months and thankfully my father and I have grown closer. It also helps we all live on the same floor of the casino but we all put in the effort and have a solid bond.
He places a kiss on the top of my head. “So proud of you,” he murmurs.
I beam up at him and feel Maccoy wrap an arm around my waist to pull me against him.
“Okay, that’s enough, give me my woman back.” He jerks his chin in the direction of most of the other guys. “Go cut the cake or grill some steak or whatever, I have to check something with my old lady.”
Maccoy practically drags me away while everyone else joins the happy couple to cut the cake.
“What’s the rush?” I ask, kinda wanting a piece of cake myself.
As soon as we round the corner of the building, his mouth is back on mine and his hands are on my ass. Lifting me, I easily wrap my legs around his waist, and he continues to walk until I feel him slightly bend as he places me on top of something.
Glancing down I notice I’m sitting on the hood of his car. We brought his Mustang instead of his bike because I’m wearing a soft pink dress. One he’s slowly gliding up my legs. His eyes are filled with lust and there’s a feral glint on his face as he leans in and rips away my panties.
I gasp but I use my next breath to moan as his tongue slides through my pussy. He grabs my hand and uses my fingers to part my lips.
“I fucking knew it would look amazing,” he growls.
Glancing down I see how his gaze is locked on my finger, showing his ring while he starts to eat me out. Weird man. But who am I to complain when I’m only reaping the benefits? His mouth feels amazing. Tingles of pleasure flash through my body.
I don’t care if we’re outside, on the hood of his car, at my father’s wedding; all that matters is the orgasm erupting inside me. I’m still moaning through the bliss when my wrists are gripped tight and placed above my head. Impaled on his dick the next moment and causing my orgasm to intensify.
He slams his body back and forth, taking me hard and fast while the sweet bite of pleasure and pain twist into something beautiful and special. I meet each thrust but suddenly I’m left empty and my body is being lifted, turned, and placed back against his Mustang.
His hand digs into my hair to gently but firmly guide my cheek to the cold metal before I feel him line up again, filling me from behind as he leans over me. His mouth is right next to my ear.
Harsh and hot grunts add to the wild lust both our bodies are filled with as he roughly fucks me from behind. There’s nowhere to go, I’m completely dominated while feeling deliciously used and loved by the man who holds my heart the way he handles my body.
“That’s it, darlin’, grip tight. Squeeze my cock the way I fill you up. Hard. Wet. Hot. So fucking good. So good. Gonna come. Gonna come hard and you’re going to come with me you hear. Now. Give it to me,” he growls and all I can do is surrender.
I scream his name and feel his dick thicken and pulse inside me as he slams deep and stays rooted. My name is flowing in a soft whisper beside my ear and at this moment nothing is more perfect than our hearts beating in sync while our bodies ride the remainders of our shared orgasm.
This is where love complements our lives, bodies communicating as we seize every second of the day. I glance down at my hands, still bound by his massive hand while his finger gently slides over his ring.
A smile tugs at my lips knowing the promise this man just gave me. A future where he wants me as his wife and I can’t imagine a bigger compliment to be the one he wants by his side.
He might have entered my life at a time where grief and havoc left scars and exposed ones that were hidden. Yet he pulled me through and somehow, we came out stronger. I’d say we were made for each other and I can’t wait to see what our future has in store for us.
There’s only one way to find out; live the way we just took one panting breath to the next. And with my body still humming, I’d say we’re in for one hell of a ride.
EPILOGUE
Three years later
– MACCOY –
Strolling into the casino, I come to a stop once I spot my woman. She’s standing off to the side, observing the room while her hand is on her belly. She’s a sight to behold. Not only because she’s working, a fierce look on her face while she observes everything around her, but also since she’s carrying our child.
We’ve spent years enjoying our time with just the two of us and have come to a point in our lives where we’ve been able to enrich ourselves by becoming a family. Her belly is round with my kid inside her and I couldn’t be more proud.
She’s such a strong, powerful woman who is always on and by my side no matter what. Being the president’s old lady means a lot of responsibility and with the reminder of her mother and her past, she’s all too aware.
Though, the danger and risks in the past–the shit we rolled into when we met–is just that; the past. We’ve dragged the MC into mostly legal business by running the casino together. I say mostly because we still use force and any means necessary to handle the debt collecting part.
It’s also why I sometimes come home with busted knuckles. Delphine knows I still take part in kicking the asses of gamblers who neglect to pay their debts but we also placed a new boxing ring on the property we bought as an extra clubhouse.
It’s basically a warehouse with a perfect backyard to have fire pits, parties, and meetings that can’t take place in crowded places. It’s also to escape the strip and the casino which is basically work for all of us.
And yet I know my woman also considers it a link to her past. I can clearly see it now as she rubs her hand over her round belly, a small smile tugging her lips as she glances around the room.
The sounds and the activities also remind her of her childhood and I’ve read in a baby book she devoured a few months ago how sound also penetrates through her belly. Our kid will come out recognizing the activities of the casino, which is a big part of our lives.
I also like to believe it’s her way to connect with her mother, mainly since she did the exact same thing with Delphine.
“I can’t believe I’m going to become a grandpa soon,” Alcide grumbles beside me with a hint of pride in his voice.
I feel a grin slide across my face. “You a grandfather, me a damn dad.” I turn my head. “Better believe it because the world won’t stop turning.”
He smacks my chest. “Believe me, man. When you hold that bundle of life in your hands for the first time? It will feel as if the world freezes in place and it’s then you realize the load of responsibility suddenly pressing on your shoulders. It’s not just you and your woman, handling shit together and on your own, but there will be a part of the both of you fragile and new out there in the open. Scary but fucking magnificent.”
“Scary but fucking magnificent,” I echo. “I’ll be sure to remember that, grandpa.”
He smacks a flat hand against my chest. “Watch it, Prez. I’m not a grandpa until my kid pops one out.”
“Your days are numbered, as are mine, and I’d say from the smile we’re both wearing we couldn’t be happier.” My grin intensifies when my gaze collides with my old lady; the soon to be mother of my child.
My wife because we got married two and a half years ago. She was wearing a gorgeous white wedding dress when she said yes and we said our vows in the midst of this casino. Even if there are bad memories connected to this casino it’s also been a massive pillar in her life and now mine as well.
Delphine’s eyes connect with mine and she starts to walk toward me. The feelings that hit me when I first saw her still give the same spark of awareness inside my veins. Not one day goes by where my love for this woman stops and it’s only intensified.
I guess many would doubt a relationship sparking like wildfire would still hold strong after weeks, months, or a few years. I’m not here to prove anything or to anyone it is indeed possible.
Fuck, no. No action, decision, or thought is made with another person in mind–except for my wife–when it concerns our lives. There is enough to worry about by living than to give a fuck about how others think or feel about anything.
Well, except for my father-in-law to some degree.
“Hey, foxy mama,” I rumble and lace her fingers with mine to pull her close and crash my lips against hers. “Ready for our date?”
“Yes, finally,” she groans and rubs her belly once again.
“Everything okay?” I question, getting worried about all the rubbing and the discomfort on her face.
She leans against me and releases a deep sigh. “I’m a bit tired and cranky but really looking forward to the ice cream you promised me.”
I pinch her chin between my thumb and forefinger. “We could go up to our place and have a prospect swing by to deliver the ice cream.”
“Not a chance,” she states with determination. “I want my ride in your Mustang, top down, flashy lights, the evening scent, and finally the heavenly ice cream. I’m getting pistachio, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and strawberry. Yes, definitely strawberry. Did I mention I miss riding on the back of your bike?”
My grin is blinding. “Every damn day and I miss the feel of your hot pussy pressing against my back.”
“Okay, kids. I really didn’t need to hear that,” Alcide grumbles and kisses his daughter’s cheek. “I’ll see you tomorrow, breakfast with Elodie around ten, our place. Call if something happens.”
“Like popping out a kid?” Delphine grins.
Alcide taps her nose. “Yes, sassy pants. Call and we’ll be there. Now go enjoy your ice cream and get a good night’s sleep. We’ll see you bright and early.”
“Not too bright and not too early,” Delphine grumbles. “I’m the size of a whale, getting out of bed involves a whole lot of rolling into the direction of the bathroom to pee.”
“I also didn’t need to hear that,” Alcide grumbles once more.
I slide my arm around my woman’s waist and guide her in the direction of the elevator leading to the parking garage and wave with my other hand. “Later.”
I open the car door for her and make sure she’s settled in before closing it. Walking around my Mustang, I keep my eyes on her and love the way she holds my gaze. We might have our own work to handle but we always make time for one another.
Our lives are bound to become more hectic but we have a whole brotherhood at our back if we want to plan a moment for just the two of us.
“Do you think he will have the same eyes as my dad and I?” she questions as she stares out the side window.
I breathe in some of the humid, warm air. “Maybe. It would be nice considering your brother.”
Her head slowly turns my way. “What if we jinx our son by honoring him with my brother’s name.”
I reach out and lace our fingers, placing our joined hands on my thigh. “Your father named his son after his father, who in fact died from old age. He was like close to fifty when your dad was born because he married a younger woman. Nothing wrong with the name, darlin’. Circumstances and a fucked-up world, insane people, that pile of shit is to blame but not a name. We as parents pick one that matters to us. Sentimental reasons or a name to live up to but it’s also why we’re giving him more than just the name of your brother and both our fathers. They are strong names, meaningful, family. Given to a new soul who will make them his and grow up to be his own person. Hell, for all we know they screwed up when they said we were gonna have a son and you pop out a beautiful daughter instead. Now that would really be something.”
“You’re right.” There’s a smile in her voice and she gives a gentle squeeze.
“Of course, if you want to name him, or her for that matter, Pete or Tom now is the time to change your mind before you pop him out.”
She narrows her eyes. “I’m not popping out anything yet. And neither are we changing the names, the one we picked when we found out I'm carrying our son. And maybe, just maybe…we’ll have a daughter at some point in our lives. No matter the gender, the amount, or whatever; we’ll fill our home with love and happiness.”
“Sounds damn perfect,” I grunt, emotion clogging my throat. I hit the blinker and ask, “Do you want to eat your ice cream inside or in the car?”
Delphine bites her lip and I quickly direct my gaze on the road in front of me when I hear her say, “Can we get fries instead?”
I glance in my rearview mirror and hit the blinker again so we can resume our way. My eyes catching a perfect cognac leather jacket in a shop window. I make a mental note to swing by tomorrow morning, wanting a new jacket for a special occasion.
The corner of my mouth twitches at the thought and prospect that just hit me because our plans changed mid-drive. “Sure thing, love.”
