Hana walked out at just the right moment and looked towards Alex and Ryan. Her face was completely red in anger, it looked like she could blow up at any time. She walked towards Ryan and looked into his eyes, "Where did you find these files. And if you knew what was happening all this time, why didn't you do anything about it?"
Ryan looked towards Hana and shook his head, "I didn't do anything to get them. My investigation was just looking into what the files said and piling them up until I knew that they weren't false logs. I called you here as soon as I deduced that they were all true. The truth of the matter is, I know that you will get to the end of this. I told Master Zhun about this investigation and he was the one who told me that it would be the best choice to give you the job to investigate and find out where this is happening and put an end to it… Any means necessary."
Hana took a deep breath and nodded, She looked up and said, "I guess I get to finish this part on my life once and for all. I can be set free after I do this." Hana then quickly turned towards Alex, "I guess your chat is also done, I'll go to my office. You go to the apartment. I have a lot to do today."
Alex could see that Hana was hiding her anger but deep within her anger seemed to hide sadness. She didn't seem true to her own emotions. Alex then noticed that Ryan was looking at him with a meaningful gaze. 'I guess I understand what he means. I can see sadness withing her eyes, hidden behind her anger. She seems to have a history with these experiments, and a bad one at that.' Alex made up his mind to help Hana in any way possible. When thinking of ways to help her, he could only think of one thing, 'Get stronger.' If Alex could become stronger, he would be able to Join Hana while she confronts the experiments.
Hana walked out of the office, Alex followed behind. He knew what he had to do, 'I will need to rely on the system to get stronger, much much stronger.'
Hana looked towards Alex and said, "I'll be taking another car to my office. You will be driven back to the apartment in the same car we used to get here. I'm sorry but I won't be accompanying you as much anymore. I know that it's been a day that you've come here and everything is just piling on you. New information, new people, new powers, everything must be difficult. So I wanted to accompany you for a few more days, at least until you were used to everything. But now, huge things have come up and I can't do that anymore. You can contact me anytime you want. I'll probably answer it."
Alex was happy to hear Hana try to comfort him even when she was the one who needed it more. He didn't know how to reply to her. Alex smiled, "Thank you, but don't worry about me. I'll be fine, You take care of yourself. This seems like a huge thing for you but don't overwork and take care of your health." A small smile appeared on Hana's face when she heard Alex.
The two walked out of the building. Alex went into the car that they used to get to the bureau. Hana went another direction and get into another car.
While Alex was in the car, he took out the phone. Just before he separated with Hana, she had taught him how to call people on the phone. 'It's pretty easy.' Alex said to himself as he fiddled around with his phone.
He looked at the map and could see the entire city. "No gates." He said to himself. He looked around and was surprised to see that there was an option to look at the entire country. 'Now that I think about it, This world is probably like where I came from. Different nations, cities, and so on. I wonder how similar they are.' Alex looked at the country map and surprised, "It's so similar yet so different. It seems like the location of this country is similar to that of Hojo, the country where I come from. Some shapes are also similar but the rest are different. It still feels surreal to think that I am not only on another planet but in a different universe. These gates, so many mysteries."

Chapter 30: Coincidence? | Hero System! Transported to Another World
'I wonder where they come from. It must have an origin, I don't think these gates are the creation of nature. Especially when you look at them. They have shapes of a large door, something very unnatural…' Alex thought as he remembered his first time looking at gates. 'I don't know if I should be thankful or not. My heroes turned out to be liars, the government that I believed in turned out to be manipulators. Everything that I had been living was a lie. My own naivety would have to lead me to my own demise… But this system came to me when I was at death's door and gave me a chance. I now will not be as I was before. I already know that heroes aren't what I thought they were, they all became corrupted…' Alex couldn't help but think of everything that happened yesterday. His life was turned around, nothing was the same now. But with this new life, he was also granted a new power.
Alex looked at his stats and sighed, 'I wonder what this system really is. I don't think this is some freak creation of nature. It wouldn't make any sense. Now that I think of it, none of these might be natural. Well, I don't know. My brain hurts when I think too deep into things. I feel like I'm in some conspiracy group, trying to find a reason for everything when they could just be a coincidence. I still have time, for now. I need to get strong enough to help Hana. I also need to clear more gates. The more reapers I deal with, the more powerful I get." Alex had arrived outside of the apartment, he was still in deep thought but he got out of the care and entered the main gate.
As Alex thought about dealing with reapers, a thought came into his mind. "Killing shouldn't be that hard…" Alex mumbled. Without knowing, Alex was in front of the reception. Rachel stood in front of him, "Alex?" She said in a confused tone. Alex jolted from deep thought and looked around him in confusion, 'I should really stop thinking like that. I didn't even realize that I entered the complex.' Alex looked towards Rachel and laughed, "I was just in deep thought."
Rachel nodded, "Those awakened. You didn't seem like that kind but as soon as you come back from the meeting, you talk about killing… I get that the reapers will kill us if you don't kill them but never act like their lives are nothing. Killing in that case if justified but what I'm saying is…" She seemed to be annoyed by the thought of killing. Alex nodded, "I get what you mean. The thought of taking a life is disgusting but I also get what they mean. And don't worry, no one told me to go around and kill the reapers. But it is just common sense. Like you said, Killing them is the only choice. With creatures like the reapers, It's just kill or be killed. I've already experienced the being killed part once and I know that the only choice we have is to kill." Alex said to himself. It didn't sound like he was trying to convince Rachel but convince himself.
Alex remembered the time where he only injured the invisible reaper, As soon as the reaper recovered, it went to attack Alex. He was saved by that other C rank under Sir Fire who killed the reaper with his sword.
"Killing is needed," Alex said to himself as he walked to the elevator. Rachel watched Alex walk with a confused face, "he must have a long on his mind." She said as she got back to her work.
As Alex returned back to the room, he sat down on the sofa and looked at the system.

"Hm?" Alex looked at the new prompt with a hint of confusion.
"At level 10… I guess that's my new small goal. Reach Level 10." Alex said as he opened his phone. But a look of disappointment appeared on his face when Alex saw that there were no Gates.
"If there was a gate nearby, Even if I have to deal with them alone… I'd be more than happy to do so. For the sake of getting more powerful." Alex sighed, he was serious. He wanted to get stronger, much stronger.
*ding!*
Alex heard a notification bell from the phone. He picked up the phone and looked again. "Speak of the devil."
It was a new gate, a D rank gate.
Alex looked at the location and was shocked, "Its…" Alex quickly ran to the balcony and looked outside.
As he did, he saw a small gate in the middle of the street. People ran as far as they could from the gate, their faces in complete horror.
Alex loosened his tie and looked down, He had the impulse to jump. But after a quick look at the height, he was at, Alex quickly slapped himself and ran to the elevator.
As soon as the elevators opened, Alex ran out and headed straight towards the gate, a dagger in his hand.
As Alex ran to the gate, 2 people watched from their balcony.
"The kid's first gate. I want to see what he's got. If I remember, Master Zhun didn't even see anything inside of him, Just like miss Hana." A woman's voice said in a sultry voice.
"Hmm, I don't think we need to go and help him. It's a mere D rank gate. Alex could defeat Rhino so there is nothing to worry about. Let's just watch. We could learn about his powers this way. I can already see that he can create physical weapons out of thin air, so He has casting powers. But the speed he is running at is also something that shows signs of enhanced physical prowess." A man's voice came from behind the woman.
They two watched as Alex stood in front of the gate, a dagger in his hand. He was ready for a fight.

Chapter 31: Red Skies. | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Alex took a deep breath in, "Okay." He tried to calm himself. By the looks of his surroundings in the map, there was no one else nearby to take this gate. He would be the only one to take on the Reapers.
Alex looked forward, towards the gate. It seemed to shake a bit, "Here they come." Alex said as he watched a small reaper walk out of the gate. It had a small smirk on its face as it looked at Alex.
[Reaper- Level 10]
Alex felt relieved that it was close to his own level. This would be an easy fight. But, before Alex could attack the reaper, another reaper stepped out. "There are more. I think that's the last one from a D-Rank gate." He looked towards the other reaper.
[Reaper Ranger- Level 8]
Alex didn't see much a reaper before, it had thinner limbs and an overall smaller body. In its hand, a long bow.
"One close range reaper, only 2 levels higher than me and one long-range reaper, the same level as me. Shouldn't be a big deal." Alex felt confident. He felt fired up.
*Swoosh!*
An arrow flew straight towards Alex. "Fast!" Alex said as he quickly dodged the arrow. However, he did feel a bit less confident. 'That arrow was fast, I need to deal with that long ranged reaper quickly.' Alex then looked towards the other Reaper, it was sprinting towards Alex while it laughed. "KEKEEKEKE"
Alex focused on the close ranged reaper, "I don't think this one will let me hurt its a friend. So I have to take it down first." Alex also sprinted towards the reaper.
*Clang!*
The two collided blades. Alex however pushed forwards just in time to make the reaper lose its balance. "Kekeke" The Reaper however didn't seem to be affected, it flipped backward and landed on its feet. Alex's push didn't affect him.
The two once again were at a staredown but before he could sprint towards the reaper once more, Alex felt a surge of pain in his left shoulder. He quickly looked towards it to see a long arrow had penetrated his shoulder. "Arg!" Alex grunted in pain as he looked towards The close ranged reaper, "I need to deal with this one quickly." Alex didn't pull out the arrow just yet. He had a plan.
Once again, the two ran towards each other But just before they collided, Alex activated his ability, "Might!"
*Clang!*
The two clashed blades once more but this time, Alex had overpowered the reaper. Completely pushing it back. The reaper slid back, still unwilling to fall. It looked forward, determined to win the next clash but its eyes opened in horror. A small dagger, similar to its own, only just larger in shape had been flung towards it. To save its own Life, the reaper quickly tried to dodge the dagger. "Kekeke" The reaper laughed mockingly, it knew that Alex didn't have a weapon. The reaper slowly looked forward but its eyes quickly opened wide, in complete horror.
"AHH!" Alex ran towards the reaper at full speed, his hands on the arrow in his left shoulder. Before Alex could collide with the reaper, Alex pulled out the arrow. His face cringed in pain but he kept on running towards the Reaper.
"KAAAAA"
The arrow entered straight into the reaper's head, penetrating it. The reaper screamed in pain as it tried to fight back but the pain overwhelmed it. As a last ditch effort to live, it tried to pull out the arrow but the other end was already broken. Alex had stabbed the arrow straight into the Reapers' head and broke the arrow before it could have taken it out.
Alex, now covered in blood ran straight towards the other reaper.
*Swoosh!* The reaper shot another arrow towards Alex.
This time, however, Alex had dodged the arrow. His eyes were red, and his shoulders were still bleeding from him taking out the arrow.
"AHHH!" Alex screamed as he chased the reaper, which was now running away Alex. As it ran, the reaper still shot arrows towards Alex. However, due to his enhanced speed from Might, Alex could dodge them.
Alex was slowly getting closer to the reaper. The close he got, the more the reaper decided to panic. It started to shoot arrows at a faster rate but in return, it's accuracy had decreased. Some flew far away in different directions. Some hit buildings and shattered glass. "Kya!" Alex could hear the screams of people inside the buildings when the arrows hit the windows. "Shit!"
Alex had forgotten that there were still people, hiding in the building. They couldn't escape as the gate was right in front of the building so the only thing they could do was hide.
Alex now had to hurry and take down this reaper, until now those arrows only hit the windows but Alex was afraid of the chance of them actually striking a powerless person. Alex sprinted with all his strength.
"I'm finally in range!" Alex said as jumped towards the Reaper and pushed it to the floor. As a last ditch effort of survival, the reaper shot another arrow to Alex. "ARG!" This time, it hit him. Alex didn't expect the reaper to shoot another arrow at such a close range. Luckily, it had penetrated his sides so no vital organs were pierced. He punched the reaper with all his strength. He then took out the arrow from his sides,"AHH!" And quickly stabbed the reaper in its chest finally ending it.
"It's over," Alex said as he played on the ground. He looked at his stats.

Alex took a breath of relief. He stood up, still in pain from his wounds, and used his Healing ability. "I still have enough Mana for this."
Alex said as he watched as the wounds glowed in bright green light and slowly started to close into itself. Alex no longer felt pain, all he felt was even more relief. However, a certain thought popped into his mind, haunting him. Alex's eyes opened wide as he looked towards the gate. "It didn't say out of combat," Alex said to himself as he continued to watch the gate.
In the apartment, two people watched Alex, both of their eyes open wide. "Did… Did you see what he just did?" The woman said as she blinked countless times in confusion.
"I… I uh… I don't know. Did… Did he just heal himself?" The man had already lost composure when he saw Alex heal Himself. They didn't clearly see his wounds healing but the green light around where the wounds were.
"Those… That was the healing glow, no doubt about it. I've only seen that when someone is being healed. That light doesn't just happen for no reason." The man quickly jumped out of the building. "I need to be sure!"
The woman also jumped out and followed the man towards Alex. She also wanted to make sure.
However, before they could reach Alex, the two of them looked towards the sky in horror.
"RED!" The woman screamed as she watched the sky above the gate slowly turn a shade of red. The man hurried towards Alex, screaming "Get the people out of the area!"
Alex also seemed to realize something was wrong. The gate hadn't shut. Instead, it seemed to be growing. Alex heard the man's scream and nodded. He quickly ran towards the nearby buildings and said in a loud voice, "Everyone, this is the best moment, evacuate!" Alex had no clue what was happening but he knew that things were about to go south.
Alex helped the people escape the building. Soon, the man and the woman also arrived to help Alex. "Midnight and Buster?" Those two were the same people Alex saw in the meeting this morning. Both A rank awakened.
"Alex, you did well on the gate and we do have a lot of questions but we need to talk about that later. Catch your breath, this might be a rough ride for you." Buster Said as he looked at the gate.
Alex nodded, he wanted to ask what was happening but his current priority was to help the people in the people stuck in buildings in front of the gate evacuate.
After everyone was evacuated, Alex rushed towards Buster. He wanted to ask what was happening but when he looked towards the gate, Alex's question was already answered.
"It's evolving into a higher rank gate?" Alex said as he watched the gate slowly increase in size.
Midnight nodded, "Yes, It's happened before but not here. It's only happened a few times in other countries. This is the first time we've seen it happen here. We don't know how big it will be so for now, go and rest. We can't say for sure that we don't need you, more people means a higher chance of survival. I've already contacted the bureau."
