Finally, after some time, a reaper tried to attack Alex but it missed and had a dagger lodged in its throat. Alex looked towards another reaper that was aiming to strike Alex as well but before Alex could attack it, another arrow flew right past Alex's leg. Alex took a breath of relief when he saw the arrow miss. He looked at his stats once more.

  [Health - 15]

  [Mana - 3]

Alex had a huge smile on his face and jumped back. He ran away for some time. Seeing Alex run, Imani was ready to stop the simulation but the scientist stopped Alex and spoke, "wait… I might not be a good fighter but I do have this position for a reason… I can tell you one thing from that young lad's face before he ran, it was filled with confidence. Alex took a deep breath and looked at the reapers with anger. His back, his shoulders, his thigh… Everything felt like it was burning. Alex quickly applied his heal ability on his back wound and felt some relief. 'The cuts aren't bleeding anymore… It isn't fully healed but it stopped hurting. So I think I can pull more power into my attacks.' Alex felt more confident.

He watched as his health increased to 20 and smiled. 'It's showtime.' Alex ran towards the reapers but he paid no attention to them. Alex had one target, the final long ranged reaper, that stood far away with its bow and arrow in hand and ready to fire towards Alex.

Chapter 97: That Felt like Hell | Hero System! Transported to Another World

Imani looked at Alex heal himself for a second before starting his push towards the Long Ranged Reaper. Her hands were hovering over the stop button but after seeing Alex heal, She smiled and spoke, "Well, Isn't that a big surprise. His wound didn't completely heal but it looks like he stopped the bleeding… So that also probably means that he stopped the pain as well so he can go on without feeling like he has to carry a huge burning load on his back all on his own." She nodded with approval.

The scientist nodded as well, "Well, It seems like This kid can get some energy back during battle so in theory, if he just waits it out, He can completely heal without a problem… But I don't know the limitations of his healing. It might be a power that he can only use a few times every day or something like that." He looked at Imani.

Imani nodded back and spoke, "That's also very true but we know nothing about his powers at this moment so the only things we know are the things he tells us or the things that we observe from him. That's why I was tasked to teach him as well, To observe if Alex has some other hidden powers or things that he might be hiding from us." She looked at the 8 remaining reapers that Alex had to battle. The Scientist nodded and continued to watch Alex as well.

By this time, Alex was already running towards the Long ranged reapers. He didn't pay attention to any of the other reapers between him and that reaper. He ignored any reapers that attacked him, leaving them open for his attacks. He didn't jump however, He seemed to have a different plan than his previous repeated plans of jumping towards his enemies. Alex continued until the reaper was only 10 meters away from him. He had a few arrows be shot towards him as he ran but all of them missed Alex.

Alex took a deep breath and sprinted at the Reaper with all his strength. The reaper pulled out its dagger and was ready for Alex's attack. Alex winded his hand back, it looked like he was ready for a huge attack. The reaper looked at Alex and put it's hands up to block Alex's attack. Alex smiled when he saw the Reaper trying to block his attack at its chest and slid down and kicked its legs.

Imani's eyes opened wide when she saw what Alex had just done. 'That… That attack…' She replayed Midnight doing the same low kick to her in order to win the match. Imani thought back to the entire day which she overlooked Midnight training Alex but didn't remember Alex ever learning that move. A sudden moment of realization him Imani and she fell back on his seat. She put her hand on her forehead and started to laugh.

The scientist looked at Imani in disbelief, 'Did she lose a couple of screws? Why is she acting all crazy like?' He was just confused looking at Imani suddenly act like that. "What happened? I see that the kid did a pretty good attack, feigning a punch to the chest but attack its legs with a slide kick but that isn't impressive enough to fall back on your seat and laugh like a mad person. Not when compared to the healing ability he has shown us…" The man asked, a little bit confused.

Imani laughed and looked at the scientist in a defeated way, "What if I told you that Alex had 0 knowledge about combat before today morning. All he knew was copying the ridiculous punches they like to show off in the movies. So it was just no power behind those punches. He knew how to attack with the dagger from some form of ability that granted him to use the weapons that he casts but ignore that for a second."

Imani took a deep breath and continued, "Imagine a kid, who knows nothing about combat. He doesn't even know the basics when it comes to punching and kicking someone… That person just doing an attack like that… It isn't him lying to us, It seemed to be a complete truth… Midnight taught him a few punches and one sidekick this morning. He learned it all within a few hours… But she never taught him how to slide sweep… That kick… Alex learning all by himself from watching Midnight take me down the same way."

The scientist looked at Midnight in shock, "So… He learned that kick from just looking at it and never having practicing it before?" He was in disbelief as well, "What kind of monster do you people have among you? He looks so young, did he have anything else special as a background? Maybe he was some prodigy in studies and just turned into a really good observer?" He seemed to be curious about Alex.

Imani shrugged and spoke, "We have no idea what he was. We can only take his word for what he was and what he did before…" The scientist looked confused by Imani's words but he realized what she was trying to say, "He is an immigrant? An actual dimension crosser?" He looked excited. Imani nodded when she heard the scientist's words and spoke, "He is true-" But she was cut off when she heard Alex's voice, "Shit!" The two focused back on the screen and saw that Alex had stabbed the down reaper but another reaper just ran to him and sliced his back once again.

Alex groaned in pain and ran back. He looked at his health [Health - 14] and spoke, 'I'm at 14 now… But this wound is deeper than the previous ones on my body, It hurts just to move…' He thought as he jumped back, avoiding the 7 reapers all chasing after him, trying to kill Alex. He looked overwhelmed by the sheer number and kept on dodging them.

Imani took a deep breath and started to type on the keyboard, 'It seems like I don't have to use the emergency stop button but I can at least pause the time for everything else and stop the battle without needing to stop the simulation… Luckily you Alex.' She smiled.

Alex continued to run but the silence confused him, The creepy laughing on the Reapers was no more, He turned back and saw that all of them were frozen. Alex looked around and realized that everything was frozen. "You can relax now. The battle is over so just sit down. I'll send some healers your way so we can stop that pain, how does that sound?" Imani's cheery voice entered Alex's ears. He nodded and sat down. His back, his thigh, and his shoulders, all of them were soaked in blood. He looked at them and shook his head, "It feels like shit but I'm surprised by why I haven't bled out… I did feel a bit weird before but after healing myself and stopping the bleeding, It felt much better. The healing must have regenerated some of my blood as well.' Alex took a deep sigh of relief and lied flat on his stomach. "I don't care where I am, I just want to relax," Alex said as he lied on the street.

  [Combat Ended]

He watched as the Reapers disappeared and a few people ran towards him. They looked at Alex and smiled, "You're our hero… You defeated all of those monsters on your own. Let us help you with our abilities as well." The men and women put their hands out and started to heal.

[External Healing.] The system's voice entered Alex's mind. He nodded and lied down as his health started to regenerated and his wounds started to heal. After a few minutes, the People looked at Alex, "It would have taken us around 10 minutes to heal such deep wounds but seeing the saviors kill all these monsters on his own, It seems like we have also gained some of his strength." The men said with a smile. Alex smiled back and spoke, "you're the heroes here, Thank you." He slowly stood up.

  [Level- 11]

  [health- 70]

  [Mana- 10]

Alex looked at his mana, 'It's regenerating quickly after the battle ended.' He then turned his attention towards where the gate where the huge number of reapers were. "That felt like hell."

Thank you for reading. I'm writing this here to ask an important question, what do you people actually prefer? Two chapters a day or just one long one? It would be the same and the prices of the chapters wouldn't be that different so it wouldn't affect you so it's more on personal preference. I want this novel to please as many readers as possible so having your opinions on this topic would be helpful.

I hope you all are enjoying this novel so far! Christmas is coming soon, so why not give out some power stones to me? )0.0

Chapter 98: Tired | Hero System! Transported to Another World

Alex stood up and looked around, "I guess I'm not so powerful after all. Not being able to take on a B rank Gate on my own." Alex said as he scratched his head awkwardly. Imani replied to Alex's words by laughing, "You're a lower B rank awakened. The awakened are classified into simple Letters starting from F rank but each rank can be divided into three. You already know about that from the way we've been describing you and ourselves. That being, High B, Lower B, and Mid B rank. That kind of gate is doable for only a High B ranked Awakened. Maybe two B ranked awakened. I did lower the difficulty for you by a small bit considering that you might have lost some of your stamina and we're tired from the first one. So don't worry, there is still a lot of training that you need to do before you can be a top B ranked Awakened. So, on that note, Why don't we stop this simulation?" She asked.

Alex nodded and spoke, "I understand. Let's stop the simulation, I've already had a lot of things happen today, all I'd like to do right now is just relax and maybe dose off." Alex said in a tired voice. Imani looked at Alex through the screen and nodded, She started the sequence to get Alex out of the simulation. The scientist behind her stood up and walked into the room where Alex was sitting. He smiled and spoke, "Well have a special one now don't we?" He laughed to himself.

Alex slowly woke up and saw his body, hooked up to various wires. He waited as the scientist slowly detached Alex from the chair. He looked at Alex with a small smile and nodded before walking off into his own office. Alex watched in confusion as the man walked away before getting up and walked to where Imani was. He felt very tired and his body was asleep. Every Step Alex took felt like pins and needles were pricking him all over.

Alex gritted his teeth and walked to Imani, who made a chair Ready for Alex to Rest in. "You don't look so positive, now do you?" She smiled. Alex smiled back and shook his head, "It just feels like my mind wants to sleep more than anything. Doing anything just makes me want to sleep now." He said in a tired voice.

Imani nodded and spoke, "It's nothing unusual, so don't worry about that. I'd say just relax for a bit and then We'll go to the hotel. I'll take you to your room and after that, You can go to sleep." She smiled in a friendly manner. Alex looked at Imani and asked, "Why isn't it unusual? Does going into a simulation make everyone very tired?" Alex asked.

Imani nodded as she sat down on his chair and turned to Alex, "Indeed, Rest up as I explain how this works. We'll only in simple terms as I'm not an expert on this. I also only know the simple explanation for this entire thing." She slowly spoke. Alex nodded and waited for Imani's explanation.

Imani smiled, "Simulation is just a world that was created on the computer where every person has their own 'Thoughts'. It's not super in depth but at least to the point of everyone in a huge crowd having their own reactions to a certain thing. They react to fear differently, they reach excitement differently, and just, in short, they all look and act like different people. It's like a game but more in depth with the characters. "

Imani looked at Alex, "Because they have their own personalities, the storage unit for everything in a simulation is huge. It's as big as a room and the size will get even bigger as the size of the simulation expands. Now, How would this relate to you feeling so tired?" Imani smiled.

"Essentially, That entire thing will be uploaded to your mind by electric pulses. While someone is asleep, their brain is the most relaxed. It's almost like a lucid dream where you can free control over everything that you do and think but this time, You can't break the rules created for the simulation and you can feel everything. From pleasure to pain. Feeling pain, meaning getting attacked on the simulation will make your brain send pain impulses to your body so You feel it physically as well, that's why after getting very hurt, you start to feel very tired. Top it up with the entire simulation being uploaded to your brain, It's obvious why you're feeling so tired. Now, I can't explain everything as I'm not qualified but that was a simple explanation for how this entire thing works and why you're feeling very tired." Imani explained. She looked at Alex who seemed to absorb all that information up.

'He did surprise me by everything that he did today… I guess sending a recording of this fight to Master Ryan is the only way that he can understand how scary this man can be once he gets more powerful.' Imani thought.

Alex looked at Imani and smiled, "I think I understand the basics of it all but my brain doesn't seem to want to absorb this information so I can't do anything about that. However, It was like how I imagined it. An entire world being played in the computer, you can interact with people like real life and not even suspect that you're in a simulation. It's all really interesting." Alex looked at Imani who seemed to be in deep thought.

Imani shook her head and looked at Alex, "It's been a few minutes now, I'm sure that you just want to go to your room and sleep. So why don't you stand up? I'll ask the overseer to close all this while we're gone." Imani said as she typed something into the keyboard. After a few seconds, the scientist walked into the room and started to work on the computer. Alex and Imani got up and walked out of the room, to head back to the hotel.

"Stupid kids who don't even say goodbye. Well, it doesn't matter much now, does it? I'm in the best possible mood now that I've seen how powerful dimension crosser can get. Truly impressive people they are." The scientist spoke to himself as he closed the computer. He then walked into his room and started to laugh, "This will be really rewarding." He mumbled to himself.

Alex and Imani walked to the trains and headed back to the hotel. Imani looked at Alex and spoke, "It seems like you probably don't want to do this tomorrow, am I correct?" She smiled.

Hearing Imani's words, Alex quickly nodded, "I don't want to feel like this everyday… That was one hell of an experience but still, It was something that I couldn't do every day. The toll on my brain right now is just immense that I can fall asleep in an instant." He explained slowly.

Imani nodded and smiled, "At least be happy that I stopped you from getting killed… Getting killed in the simulation means possible brain damage. Although it's a rare case, it's possible that your brain might actually believe that you can no longer function physically and act in a 'Dead State' Where you just can't do anything. It's just you being in a coma essentially. So keep this in mind for the next time you enter the simulation, act like it's real life, and don't even try to push yourself when you're at your limits. If it was real life, you only had two choices, Fight or die but here, You have three, Fight, Die or just stop the simulation so nothing could happen to you." Imani explained slowly.

Alex looked shocked by Imani's words, 'To think that you'd be in a coma for dying in a simulation… She said that it's a very low chance but still, that is a very scary thought.' Alex thought to himself. Imani looked at Alex and spoke, "Tomorrow, You'll have a battle with me or the bots… I need to decide later on but I'm thinking about creating different situations that you can only finish by making proper plans. Today was more of a get used to the simulation day so I didn't force you to think too much. But from tomorrow onward, You need to plan more for battles." Alex nodded when he heard Imani.

The two exited the train and entered the elevator. They entered the reception where Imani bid farewell to Alex and headed out. Alex nodded and walked back in the elevator and headed to his apartment. Alex jumped straight to the couch and spoke, "I'm so tired that I don't even want to walk to the room… This just sucks." Alex liked on the couch. He looked at the time, "5 pm, I must have to spend a few hours in the simulation… It didn't feel like anything though."

Chapter 99: Learning more | Hero System! Transported to Another World

Alex got up and dragged himself to the bedroom. He instantly fell asleep as soon as his body fell on the bed.

After having proper sleep, Alex woke up. He looked around his system to notice that the training hadn't begun. Alex slowly got up from the bed and checked the time, "12 am… This is seriously going to ruin my sleep schedule…" Alex sighed. He wanted to go back to bed but he didn't feel tired at all. Alex walked to the living room and turned on the T.V. He switched to different channels, sometimes movie channels, sometimes, shows and even sometimes documentaries but Alex didn't watch any. He just seemed to be browsing them.

"I should have done this yesterday or the day before but since everything was so packed and I was just tired, I didn't really get the proper chance. But I am surprised that these channels are up even after what happened yesterday… I would have expected them to stop the broadcasting but it seems like only a few channels were taken down. I guess it makes sense that a country can't just stop everything from being broadcasted for more than a day, there would be some outrage from the people." Alex said as he browsed more channels.
