However, the victory was short-lived.
"HAHAAHAH!" The man's laughs echoed in the room as he slowly got up. His body was even larger than before and it seemed like he was extremely angry at this point.
Alex sighed and jumped back. Hades' voice echoed in his mind, 'Now's the perfect time to do the attack I made for you. The thing I taught you is useful in combat but not that much for people whose heart you can't reach with the blade. Forget that for now, Just jump towards him and trust me!'
Alex was serious as well, He jumped as high as he could and went straight towards the man. The man spun, swinging his claws at Alex, It was going to be a close exchange.
All of a sudden, Alex felt a pull on his body. His entire body was spinning like crazy.
Chapter 139: Not Hurt? | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Without even knowing it, Alex was spinning like crazy. As he spun, He felt an increased pressure on his fingers. *BANG BANG BANG BANG*
'Is… Is this what I think it is?' Alex calmed his mind as assessed his situation. He was in the air, spinning while shooting his gun. 'The flipping and shooting is more effective when you are surrounded but when we have a large enemy in front, I can manage the spin in such a way that you can dodge the attacks quicker and you would be shooting at multiple parts of his body at once. It's a bit excessive to do at one person only as there are many things that could go wrong but I wanted to see how effective it would be if I controlled the spin.' Hades calmly explained.
Alex rolled his eyes, they already landed on the ground and Alex was very dizzy and felt a bit lost. 'I kind of understand what you mean but I don't think we should do experiments like that when the enemy is capable of taking me down on his own…' Alex thought as he watched the bleeding wolf on the croup.
There were many points on his body that were covered in bullet wounds. He slowly got up with difficulty and laughed, 'Such a weird move for a battle like this… I have to say commendable but At this point, I'll have to apologize and kill you.' He jumped to the back of the room and pulled out a small syringe. As he did, Alex slightly panicked, "Is that what I think it is?" He knew that it was a serum.
'It seems like we might not be strong enough to kill him… But It doesn't matter anymore. Alex, just buy time. Everything else will be taken care of.' Hades sounded a tiny bit relieved.
Alex didn't understand why Hades sounded relieved and told him to buy time but he knew to trust the weapon's words. Alex jumped to the door of the room to make distance. He tried to open it but it was locked. "HAHAHA, You already know what this huh? Well, why don't we try that same move again? It looked like it could kill a man pretty easily if they weren't ready… Come on, I want to see you try and fail!" The man sounded like a beast at this moment. His words were barely understandable.
His body had grown even larger now and he looked even more like a wolf than before. Alex was slightly reminded of the shadow wolves he had to battle in the challenge to get Hades. The wolf roared and ran towards Alex in top speed. Alex had no other option but to fire as many shots as he could towards the wolf. He needed to damage as much as he could as his life was in danger.
However, it seemed like Alex didn't even need to worry too much. A large boom came from the walls of the room. Alex looked over to see a massive hole in the wall. He tried to search for the cause of the hole but he saw nothing. 'Look at the wolf, Kid.' He heard Hades and turned towards the wolf and saw it lying on the ground.
Alex looked at the person who had taken down the wolf and was shocked. "Hana?" Alex asked, slightly confused.
The one who took down the wolf was indeed Hana. She turned towards Alex and furrowed her eyebrows. She gave Alex a cold look and spoke, "Well, I do have a lot of questions for you, Alex… But let's deal with this situation at first. Get me some materials to bind this guy. I need to question him a bit." She ordered.
Alex, feeling relieved to see Hana, nodded and smiled, 'She's still as cold as ever but it's nice to see her. At least my life was saved by her.' Alex thought.
'Kid, we were lucky that she also seemed to be searching for this place… Now, just do as she says, and let's get this over with. I don't think I can advise you on anything else but Listen to the Cold Woman.' Hades seemed to be slightly submissive to Hana.
Alex nodded and walked outside of the room. As he did, He saw the two awakened who took him to this room lying on the floor, a blood puddle around their bodies. 'They're alive but barely…' Alex noted.
After some time, Alex and Hana stood side by side. They looked at a bunch of people on the desert sad, all bound by rope.
Hana looked at Alex and asked, "What the hell happened?" She seemed to be curious.
Alex scratched his head and spoke, "well, I don't think I can answer that… I can say that I got a bit stronger... Some time did pass so my beard and hair grew as well..."
Hearing Alex, Hana nodded, "I guess you have your own secrets but I hope you're ready for the punishment…" She turned towards Alex.
Alex looked confused and asked, "Wha-" However, He was cut off by a quick punch on the chin.
Alex flew into the doors of the underground warehouse. His entire body shook as it slowly tried to process what happened. 'Kid, Never piss off this woman… Her powers are centuries ahead of yours…' Hades said softly.
Alex, already shocked by the attack, grabbed his chin and stood up. His body still slowly processing the attack.
Hana looked at Alex and spoke, "That's just from me. Should have told me that you were gone training for a long yome or something like that. 6 entire months. You vanished into thin air for six months… Many people believe that you're dead by now. Even Master Zhun said that he couldn't feel any connection to you" She seemed to be annoyed but at the same time, slightly relieved.
Alex laughed awkwardly but he was shocked himself. 'Six months?! How the hell did six months pass so easily?'
Hades answered Alex's question, 'Well, You spent a long time in the cube, absorbing its powers… You needed more time to be accustomed to it. Even now, you're not entirely used to it. So once you do absorp it entirely, you'll be a lot more powerful…'
Alex shook his head, He couldn't get over the shock of so much time passing. He understood the reason but it still felt wild to him.
He rubbed his chin once again but realized something, 'Why doesn't my chin hurt at all? The back of my head hurts more from the impact of the fall rather than the punch itself…' Alex was once again confused.
Chapter 140: Dark? | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Hana nodded and a small smile fell on her face, "At least you're stronger now… Let me see…" She looked at Alex from top to bottom and smiled once again, "Around the early stages of A rank… Congratulations, Alex. The last time I saw you, you were at the early stages of B rank but in just six months of disappearing, you've gained an entire rank. I guess that makes sense why this little wolf was damaged…"
Hana then walked slightly closer to Alex and spoke in a deeper tone, "But that still doesn't explain why he had bullet holes… Alex, care to explain that?" She seemed to be curious.
Alex laughed awkwardly and nodded, 'I can't keep everything a secret. I guess I can just say that I found two useful guns…' He proceeded to open his coat and pull out Hades. Hana looked at Hades and furrowed her eyebrows. She then turned to Alex, "Hmm, Dark?" She mumbled.
Alex didn't hear Hana's mumble. "I found these two guns while training. I've just been fond of them so I started using them. That's about it." He smiled. However, Hades's rumbled slightly when he felt Hana's gaze pierce him. 'This woman knows a lot more than I had expected… I felt the blessed powers in her but To think there was someone who was knowledgeable of dark powers… Alex either found a scary foe or a future ally… I hope it's the latter.' He seemed to fear Hana.
Hana nodded when she heard Alex and spoke, "Well, It's fine. As long as you're more powerful than before, I don't really care how… Unless it's the devils involved but I don't need to go there yet." Hana then turned towards the sky and sighed.
"At least leaving for so long also did you another favor." She softly spoke.
Alex looked at Hana and Questioned, "What is that?" He was curious about what Hana meant. Hearing Alex's questions, Hana laughed slightly and pulled out her phone, "You're new looks is way better than the first time I saw you, Alex. It's clean and suits you. You do look older however but I guess there is a charm in that." Hana turned away and seemed to call someone.
Alex smiled when he heard Hana's compliment and thanked her. He turned towards the awakened that he had captured with Hana. "These guys seemed to be exactly who I thought they were, The ones who were capturing people to experiment on… But we didn't find any of the victims…" Alex changed the topic.
After the phone call, Hana looked at Alex and nodded, "That is true but you don't need to concern yourself with the work here. I'd recommend you going home and resting. It's been so long, I'm sure you haven't had enough rest. So, go and get proper rest. And If you don't want to get stared at, I'd recommend getting some contact lenses." She smiled one last time before reverting back to her usual cold look.
Alex looked confused once again. He took out his phone and turned the camera on to see his pupils were red. 'Hades, what else has changed that you haven't old me?' Alex asked.
Hades took some time before replying, 'Kid, There are many changes to your body, but I guess that's the last thing that's changed on the exterior. I apologize for not telling you but It's just a side effect of your powers… Everything you battle, Your eyes will glow red. It also represents your emotions, the angrier you are, The brighter it will glow… It's your choice on the contact lenses thing but in the end, it would just be a hassle. The lenses will have a weird glow around it during battle so, at the end, you can't really hide it.' Hades explained slowly.
Alex nodded, he didn't like the fact that he had so many external changes but he couldn't do anything about it so Alex just had to accept that some parts of his body have changed. He looked at Hana who seemed to be interrogating the man in charge of the base. She had told him to wait for the helicopter to come so Alex sat and watched as Hana brutally beat down the man until he broke. She even asked Alex to heal him at times so she wouldn't kill him by accident.
After some time, Hana sat next to Alex and sighed, "These people are getting tougher every day. The last guy I interrogated just spit out the information I needed instantly but this jackass had to get beat down bloody before speaking…" She looked annoyed.
Alex just laughed awkwardly and thought back the beating she gave the man until he broke. Remembering just the image game Alex cold sweat.
After some time passed, Alex heard a helicopter off in the distance. Hana looked at Alex and stood up, "I won't ask you about many things. That means I won't but you'll have to answer the others… This helicopter was called by me for private transportation, not called by the bureau. So, we'll drop off at the top of the hotel, You go to bed right after that. While doing so, think of an excuse for everything or just act clueless… Anything could work really but think of something and look confident… I'll be with you for an hour or so tonight so you don't need to worry about food. But I'll leave right after. I need some things to take care of." Hana said in a soft tone.
Alex nodded and spoke, "I'll do as you say. Thank you for covering for me." He smiled at Hana. Alex appreciated Hana helping him out so much, it meant a lot to him.
The two entered the helicopter and slowly took off. Alex looked at the ground as he saw a few cars coming towards the base. Hana looked at the cars and spoke, "If you were curious about what we were about to do with those criminals, well, the bureau already sent a few people to take care of them once I was done with them. It seems like they've just arrived."
Chapter 141: The Sunset | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Alex nodded as he watched the card stop in front of the place. Alex looked at Hana who seemed to not care about what was happening. Her eyes were closed at the moment, she seemed to be thinking of something. Alex continued to stare at Hana, It was about to be night soon and the red hues from the setting set made the scene of Hana sitting in the helicopter seem very entrancing.
Alex couldn't get his eyes off of her. He thought back to the first time he saw Hana, it was almost the same, This peerless beauty stood in front of him, not caring about the world. However, this time, the beauty seemed to have something in her mind. Her eyebrows were furrowed as she was in deep thought.
'I've always wanted to know more about her but I never got to… Apparently, she had something important that's been forcing her to follow orders from the higher ups but I've yet to know about that. I guess I can wait before I ask her… I think she's just thinking about that so I feel it's inappropriate to ask now.' Alex said to himself as he turned his attention to the sun that was slowly setting behind the sand dunes.
'Kid, I'd recommend you to follow as she says after you get home. Rest is of importance to you… Those 6 months, your body was active every second of it. You just don't feel it now but you require a lot of rest and I mean a lot.' Hades explained.
Hearing his words, Alex nodded and took a deep breath, appreciating Hana and the sunset while he could. He felt his body become more tired as well so Alex understood what Hades meant. He just wanted to sleep now.
Hana opened her eyes and turned to Alex who was occasionally glancing at her. Alex saw Hana look at him and turned away. Hana smirked and looked at the sunset. "I wish times could slow down like now… You don't really get times like now. It might seem like life is a vast abyss of the same things repeating always but They really never repeat more than a few times… I've experienced riding this helicopter many times in my life but today it seems to be more special." She smiled.
Alex nodded, he knew what Hana meant. He never thought of it before but he could relate everything he had experienced in life to what she said. "It's true, Things don't really repeat that many times in our lives… Especially time. Lost times never come back." Alex smiled back at Hana.
'Kid… I don't know what to say but I've learned that you really can't take up hints…' Hades seemed to sigh. Hana looked at Alex and nodded, "Alex, now that you've relaxed a bit… Tell me, What has changed about you? I feel like many things are different compared to six months earlier. Not only your looks but something about you has changed and I can't put my finger on it." Hana leaned close to Alex as she asked.
Alex looked to the sky and spoke, "I really don't know… The changed I've gone through seem so big yet so small… I guess I'm finding out as I go so I really can't answer that question…"
Hearing Alex, Hana nodded. She looked at the sky as well and spoke, "I guess that makes sense…" She seemed to learn closer to Alex. Close enough for Alex to get the smell of her perfume in his nose. He didn't know what to do but wait for something to happen.
After a few seconds, Alex felt more tired. His vision was blurry and it seemed like every time he blinked, It got fuzzier. After some time, Alex was out cold. Hana caught Alex and pulled his head on her legs and played with his long hair.
"I guess He really is the blessed… But his energies are dark, the perfect balance. It seems like meeting you was truly fate Alex…" Hana had a rare expression of joy and happiness on her face as Alex lied on her legs.

"Wha… Where am I?" Alex spoke in a raspy voice. He was no longer on the helicopter. His entire body felt lighter and he seemed to be covered in comfort. Alex opened his eyes and looked around to see a familiar place. 'I'm back in the room?' Alex thought to himself as he slowly stood up.
"It looks like I fell asleep in the helicopter and Hana brought me to bed…" Alex furrowed his eyes and had a look of embarrassment on his face. He looked at the mirror and yelled, "This felt more like a mother carrying her child to bed after they fell asleep on their way home…" Alex seemed to be very embarrassed.
'Kid… I really don't know what to say to you. But good morning… It seems like I fell asleep with you as well. I've never felt that before but I assume that I was also very tired after being released… It feels like some of my powers have come back but It's too little to contribute much. Like adding a drop of water to the sea.' Hades spoke.
After some pause, Hades continued, 'Also, you're lucky that she seems to have left… Or else she would have heard you yelling like a defeated kid.' He laughed.
Alex froze when he heard Hades and walked out of the room. It was true, Hana seemed to have already left the place. Alex let out a deep breath and walked back to the mirror.
Alex nodded. He turned to look at his body and face in the mirror. 'I've really changed… My hairs too long and this beard really isn't good…' Alex walked to the bathroom and spoke, "Hades, you tired my hair in that chamber… Can you cut it to make it slightly shorter? I like the long hair look but I want something more manageable… I'll cut the beard myself. It seems like a beard just made me look older…"
After some time, Alex walked out of the bathroom looking like a new person. He stood tall, his hair ran to his shoulders but it was tied up in a small bun. His eyes were a crimson red color, looking extremely exotic. Alex also seemed to have gained some muscles. He looked a lot more handsome now than before.

Chapter 142: A surprise? | Hero System! Transported to Another World
"I wonder who that is…" Alex said as he heard a knock outside. "Is Hana back?" Alex spoke as he walked to the door and slowly opened it.
Alex looked surprised to see Midnight who was fiddling around on her phone. She looked forward and her eyes opened wide. At first, she was confused but after a second of realization, She jumped forward and hugged Alex.
"Alex… Alex, is that really you?" She seemed to be happy. Alex, a little bit shocked hugged Midnight back and nodded, "I don't think there would be another Alex here. So I assume that I'm the Alex you are talking about." Alex joked.
