The group stilled. The brewery had never been so full of people yet so quiet.
"And the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Journalism goes to Selina Kahn and the Staff of Associated Press."
Isabella shoulders sagged with the group's collective sigh. She leaned into Jaxon. "I'm so bummed for her."
"Does that mean it's time?"
Isabella glanced up, shooting her husband a mischievous smile. "Do you want to?"
Jaxon flicked his eyebrows and let out a piercing wolf whistle. "Everyone grab a glass." Isabella bounced on her toes, hardly able to contain herself while she waited for the group to hush. It seemed to take forever, but Jax finally cleared his throat and raised a glass. "While CiCi didn't win the big kahuna today, we still have lots to celebrate. Trace, CiCi, wanna tell us anything?" Trace pulled CiCi to stand next to him. "Who's ready for a destination wedding?" he asked with a broad grin.
"No. Way," Isabella squealed, jumping in place as everyone cheered and clinked glasses. "We are going to have so much fun," she shouted across the room.
Jaxon's arm came around her, and he pulled her flush, hands gripping her hip with nervous excitement. "There's more, everyone," he continued, voice thick. She quickly glanced up, melting at the look of wonder on her husband's face. "Isabella and I are having a baby."
"Babies. Plural, Daddio," Isabella corrected, unable to keep from bouncing. "We're having TWINS," she yelled, heart overflowing with joy.
At the table next to her, Catalina choked on her water, and stared up at Isabella, a look of utter shock on her face. "So am I."
