The Executed, page 24
The guys bickered amongst themselves about what we should do. I pulled Sili closer to me as we walked toward our destination. “Sili, what else do you smell?”
She gave me a confused look but replied, “Wet moss to the left.”
“Me, too.”
She stared at me in confusion before her brows raised and her eyes widened. “What does this mean?”
“I don’t fucking know yet, but the crazy doc’s been doing shit to us we don’t know about, knocking us unconscious,” I supplied. “Once we found out, we never let him do it again, but who knows what kind of shit he put into us while we were out cold?”
“How come the other guys aren’t showing any changes?”
“I’ve been thinking about that,” I told her. “When I slammed my fist into that fucker’s face back at Ashborne, my body closed the biggest wound on my knuckles and healed it into scratches.”
She stopped and grabbed my hand, turning it to investigate. Her little fingers fluttered over the semi-healed flesh.
“I-Is it—”
“Your blood, Sili. You’ve been changing. Getting hornier. After I got a taste of you… I started feeling the same. It probably caused a chain reaction of some sort, or became a catalyst for—” I motioned my hands to my body. “—This.”
She took a deep breath. “Does that mean you’re…?”
“What are you lovebirds whispering about over there?” came Gunner’s voice. “We got shit to do, keep it in your pants, Eliseo!”
The men already walked ahead of us. Shaking my head subtly to let Sili know to drop it for now, we caught up and made it back to the main road.

FITRI
Was Eliseo like me now? That wouldn’t make any sense, because I was made through conception with one parent being a bloodsucker. So why would that make him change on his own? Unless…
A memory of Otis’ last ramblings popped into my head as we continued to walk side by side.
“There’s something in the air, my friend. Something in the air. I’m not positive yet but in the meantime, wear these. Who knows what kind of stuff comes off decayed wings? If my assumption is correct, vampires as we know it originated from an airborne virus.”
I turned to look at Eliseo, wondering what the hell crazy Otis injected him with, and if our mission was the catalyst to his change, rather than me. He wasn’t looking at me, but staring straight ahead with the men at the RV, their weapons raised.
Reed knocked on the door and plastered himself to the side of the vehicle with his head out of the line of sight of the window. Gunner hid around the bottom corner near the front half of the RV while Samuel, Eliseo and I stood in front of the door in plain sight.
The barrel of a rifle came out of the door first, pointing directly at Eliseo, before a half-naked old man with his pants undone. “What do you want? Who the fuck are you?” he barked.
Reed knocked the gun from his hand and elbowed him in the face, knocking him down to the ground where Gunner quickly put his knee on his back and tied his arms behind him.
Samuel jumped over the old man’s body and went to clear the inside of the RV. Feminine screams made my legs automatically move as I ran in after him. Jumping through the door, I was met with a small kitchen area. To my left, all the way in the back, was a woman huddled around a teenager in the farthest corner. Their eyes were full of fear, staring at Samuel, who continued to look around the RV, investigating the rest of the inside. His gun was pointed down, but his large presence could be intimidating.
I tried to step around him to ease the women’s fright by letting them know I was female, too, but their attention was stolen when Reed and Gunner dragged the old man inside with us, slamming the side door shut.
Eliseo reopened it and stepped inside. The women shuddered and tried to make themselves smaller than they already were. The team was full of large men. I didn’t blame them.
“So, where are you all headed this fine evening?” Gunner asked nonchalantly, making me side-eye him.
The old man spat a mouthful of blood onto the floor and glared in the direction of the women, making Reed sneer in distaste. How uncouth.
The old man bared his crimson-coated teeth as he mentally sent some sort of message to the girls huddled in the back. I could feel the hateful tension radiating off him in waves, clogging my nostrils. I narrowed my eyes in suspicion. What exactly was going on here?
“We have nothing to do with him! We were sold. Please don’t hurt us!” The woman whimpered, and my back went ramrod straight.
I saw red. Sold. Sold? What. The. Fuck? Staring at the youngest girl, who looked to be about eleven, then back to the old man on the ground, I could see a resemblance. The mother was sold, but the kid was his. He was easily in his eighties or more, while the older woman looked to be in her late twenties. When the hell did he buy her?
“Where did you get her?” I snarled in his face before punching his temple, stunning him for a second. I was wrathful, I could feel my body vibrating from the need to kill something—someone. This man.
He shook his head and gave me a sardonic smile that boiled my blood to unnatural heights. “Wouldn’t you guys like to know? But you already have yourself a whore on the go. One pussy is really all you need these days, I’m just lucky enough to have two.”
I straightened and smashed my boot into his skull with a loud crack, caving it in and splattering blood all over the leg of my pants. The woman and her child screamed at the top of their lungs, but it sounded muffled to my ears as my eyes burned with rage from what he dared to reveal in front of us. Bringing my boot down again and again, the jagged edge of his skull scratched me and caught on the fabric of my pants as I yelled profanities at this pathetic excuse for a human. My foot slid on the last kick from the amount of blood that was pooling under me if it weren’t for Gunner catching me.
The smell of his life source was thick in this small space, taking over my mind, clogging my nares, seeping into my pores. My hands wanted to claw at the rest of his body, my mouth watering for retribution for these two innocent women in this RV. My arm shot out and I attempted to rip his spine out, but Gunner pulled me back. I kicked and struggled like a feral animal as the women behind me sobbed in fear at my display of temper.
“Fitri. Breathe. He’s dead, babe. You got him,” Gunner whispered against my ear. His hot breath sent a different kind of passion and hunger inside of me, one that I had come to find went hand in hand with the current emotion that was crashing inside of me like a tidal wave.
“I got her,” Eliseo blurted out aggressively as he grabbed me from Gunner’s arms, secured me in his, and took me out of the RV side door.
We both breathed a sigh of relief when the air thinned out the scent of fresh, warm blood. My pussy throbbed and I groaned as he continued to drag me to an unknown location. Eliseo didn’t stop walking until we were behind a tight cluster of trees, out of the line of sight of the RV. Suddenly, he slammed my back against the trunk and kissed me with lustful fire. His hands frantically undid my pants while mine undid his and pulled out his hard cock, wet with precum.
Stroking it roughly, he groaned and bit my lip hard, piercing the skin and making it bleed deliciously. The pain only increased the sexual high I was drowning in as Eliseo continued to invade my mouth with his drugging kisses. I pulled at his hair with force, wanting him to feel the same sensations I was, and he growled, turning me around and bending me over with my ass exposed to the open and my legs still trapped in my pants.
“Naughty girls get punished,” he said in a guttural voice.
“He deserved to die,” I snapped, still angry about what that shitbag revealed. “What are you going to do about it? I’d kill him again if I had the chance.”
Eliseo wasted no time and slammed his dick into me fiercely, pulling at my wet pussy lips just enough to cause a little bit of added pain for my supposed punishment. I was panting, clawing at the bark as Eliseo pounded away and I scraped my hands. His own nails dug into the flesh of my ass, pulling me against him with every slap of his hips. The squelching sounds of our combined arousal made me spasm from how dirty and sinful this all was.
He leaned over me, his hot breath against the crook of my neck, his balls slapping my clit with every thrust. “You’re such a dirty little slut for me, Sili. I love it. I love the way your pussy wants to swallow me whole and keep me there. I should also punish you for letting Gunner whisper in your ear.”
“He wasn’t fucking doing anything,” I gasped.
Eliseo leaned back and slapped my ass. “He was too damn close to what’s mine,” he growled.
“Who the hell says I’m yours, Eliseo?” I taunted, looking over my shoulder.
He forced me back down and bit the crook of my shoulder, making me scream with pleasure. The feeling of him pulling a mouthful of blood made me clench around his cock so desperately, my stomach muscles ached.
He licked my neck and groaned, expanding inside of me and spilling his release until it leaked out the side onto the ground between us. I could feel his fingers pushing it back inside of me and it made me whimper.
“I do,” he scratched my asscheeks until I felt wet welts. The moment my skin stitched together was the moment I groaned again, my pussy fluttering one last time around his cock still buried deep inside of me. When he pulled out, his release splashed against my inner thigh, making me bite my bottom lip.
“You’re such a dirty old man,” I whined.
“You love it that way. Now pull your pants up so we can get back in the RV,” he ordered.
Sighing with satisfaction, I did as he commanded and we walked back to the location. Reed and Gunner both stared at us with heat-filled eyes while Samuel held a rope tied to the woman and her child.
“What the hell did you guys decide?” Eliseo asked calmly.
“You mean, while you two were fucking like maniacs out there?” Reed snapped, nostrils flaring.
My face flushed, turning away from the woman who stood slack-jawed, staring at us in astonishment.
ELISEO
“She told us where he bought her.” Samuel looked at the woman who shrank a little, her daughter hiding her face in her mother’s chest. Samuel’s eyes softened at the sight. “It’s a human settlement a little northeast from here.” He turned to me and continued, “Eliseo, I think you’ve mentioned this place before. What was the name of the community you were originally from?”
I frowned and answered, “Marnmouth. But we don’t have flesh peddlers there.”
“Perhaps flesh peddlers came through the town?” Reed offered. The probability of this was high.
Flashes of a pool of blood, smoke, and the smell of charred flesh slammed into me. The memories turn into visions, like I was there again.
Her body laid on the ground; I couldn't take my eyes off her. The scream of women and children pierce my ears like physical razors. My wife’s stomach and legs were mutilated beyond recognition, her eyes glazed over in an expression of fear, turned to the side.
Darting my eyes around the room, I took tentative steps, trying to see if our unborn child was alright…but there was nothing. Nothing but the blood of my wife christening the grounds of this place.
Fucking flesh peddlers. Of course. That explained—
My heart beat erratically, my hands closing and opening into fists, digging my nails into my palm until stings of pain shot up my arm. My head felt tight, my jaw popping from my teeth grinding down. What the hell was wrong with humanity? At this point, I was starting to think it wasn’t worth saving. Crazy Otis' efforts in all this were mute.
Sili touched my arm and I automatically knocked it off me in reaction, still lost in the haze of my wife’s murder. Immediately feeling guilty, I pulled her into a tight embrace, buried my face into her neck, and breathed in her scent to ground me back to the present.
“You alright, man?” Reed asked cautiously.
“Yeah. Yeah, man. Just shit from the past,” I mumbled. “I haven’t gone back since they pillaged us while I was out on a run with some of the men. I came home to straight genocide.”
“I’m sorry man.”
“Not as sorry as I am.” I lifted my head up and kissed Sili’s forehead. “They killed my fucking wife when I should have been there to protect her.”
It went deathly silent, the air thick and cloying on my skin like grime that refused to wash off. I didn’t need their fucking pity. That was another lifetime ago. Looking down at Sili, I pushed her dark hair back behind her ear and stared into her hazel eyes. She filled every hole I had inside of me.
“We don’t need to go there. We’ll keep heading north,” Sili said. Her eyes were clear, her stare intense as she tried to comfort me between the lines. “I was sold by traders, too. I know how they feel. I can’t stand hearing about it. It boils my blood.”
“We see that,” Gunner said solemnly. “I’m glad we found you, though. You’re stuck with us.”
His statement lightened the mood, but my mind mulled over the little piece of information she just shared with me.
We grabbed the rest of our stuff from the parked Humvee, packing us down with everything we took with us from Ashborne. Gunner brought a tube he found in the RV on our walk and we were able to siphon the gas from the tank of the Humvee into the RV. When I asked about the dead body, the men told me they dragged his carcass out in the opposite direction of where we parked and threw him behind a bush.
The decision to utilize the RV was a good one as the vehicle held all of us with room to spare. We had gone from a party of five to a party of seven in a split second. Reed volunteered as the next driver as we got back on the road and continued our journey northwest.
A few miles in, and my mind was restless. Sitting near the exit door across from the kitchen, I pulled Sili onto my lap and wrapped my hand around her waist, forcing her closer to my body.
“How old are you, Sili?” I whispered, the meaty flesh of my lips grazing against her delicate neck.
“What does an old man like you care about age? You’ve already fucked me twelve ways to next week by now,” she answered breathlessly.
I squeezed her ass and she wriggled on top of me, making my cock ache to be inside of her again. “Just answer the damn question.”
“I’m not sure, but the people who took me said I was just a newborn. They made my adoptive day my birthday. That was around twenty-seven years ago, if the fragments of my memories are telling me the truth.”
Twenty-seven years. I filed that away in my mind as I continued to listen to her talk about her past.
“My mother, Patricia, couldn’t have kids of her own. She was desperate, and her husband was willing to go to whatever lengths necessary to make her happy. She told me that I was still covered in blood, wrapped in a dirty sheet with my umbilical cord still attached when they sold me to her. She tried her best to raise me as her own.”
Her voice had turned sad. I didn’t like it when she was sad. “What do you mean ‘tried her best’? What exactly happened?”
“M-my abilities started to manifest, and it brought trouble to our doorstep. The details are hazy, but I think I had an outburst, and many died, many more becoming casualties… like Maverick.”
Rubbing her back, I stopped asking her questions. I didn’t need to know anymore. The guys were all quiet, probably listening to her story as well. We all had a past, a journey we had been through to get where we were now. It didn’t matter what happened, or where we came from. We were given the opportunity to make a new life away from Ashborne.
“How long do we have to go?” I asked Reed. We had been driving for a while, and night had already fallen again.
“Not sure, but if my estimates are correct, we’re probably over halfway to Silverforge,” he informed us. “I’m directionally running the camper along the border of Clan Sira territory.”
“We should keep driving through the night and only stop during the day, in case we run into bloodsuckers,” Gunner said.
“Roger that,” I replied.
The two women were silent as they sat beside Samuel. The mother looked malnourished, but the daughter did not. I watched as Samuel handed her the sandwich he brought with him, breaking it in two. She smiled softly, cautiously taking it from him and handing half of it to her daughter, who devoured it like she'd been starved for days.
In this shitty existence, we had to not only be wary of bloodsuckers, but of human monsters, as well. Crazy Otis talked about having a leg up in this war. I say, let the vampires kill each other off, and let the rest of us survive and thrive with what we could gather. Half the human population needed to be eradicated, anyway—the stains of humanity.
Tapping Sili, she stood up, and I grabbed her hand to walk to the back where the seating could be pulled out into a bed. Doing just that, I lied down, pulling Sili on top of me, running my hands through her hair.
I was changing. Crazy Otis talked about airborne viruses making the first wave of vampires, but I had a gut feeling that he injected something in all of us. Maybe it started as a vaccine, but even those were just weaker versions of an actual virus.
Sili’s scent of arousal grew as she crossed her leg over me, using her knee to tease my crotch.
My mind ran through what I knew about newborn vampires. Their strength, speed, hunger and need for sex. Was that why my libido was quickly matching hers? My dick pulsed behind my zipper as I ground her knee down against me further, humming against the exposed skin of her neck.
“I love the way you bite me. It makes my pussy wet,” she whispered.
My cock twitched in response as I ran my tongue along her skin. I liked it as well, a little too much. I would have to tell the guys to keep an eye out on themselves in case they felt any changes.
“This is when I should tell you to not tempt an old man like me with your young, supple body.”
She giggled and it made me smile.
Twenty-seven years.
