Throughout the majority of the day that they were all supposed to be working it had become rather obvious that Jeremiah was not exactly willing to give up until after he was able to get Sarah to understand what the main reason was that he had often let his jealousy and anger take over throughout the time that they had been dating. The problem was that Sarah and Jeremiah had been working in completely different areas when they had gotten to work and the only real time that they had ever had where they could discuss certain things was during their short break times or even during those few minutes when they had first gotten to work in those early morning hours. Getting Sarah to listen to the things that Jeremiah would find himself talking about was definitely a different story altogether since there had been several reasons that she had felt that she should never have to deal with the things that Jeremiah had done in the short time that he had been working with Eliza and Sarah during the time that Sarah had made it clear that she was not interested in listening to his lies. Lies that he had obviously seemed to believe himself after everything that he had caused to happen because he could not handle the fact that Sarah had been close friends with Eliza for longer than she had ever known Jeremiah and that was something that was going to be extremely important when it came to the person that she had believed and eventually trusted more than anybody else that she had spent her time with. Eliza had seemed to realize all of these things during the time that she had spent her entire weekend attempting to get Sarah to at least talk to Jeremiah and get him to understand the reason that she had felt that certain things had been completely necessary, especially when it came to the way that he had been acting whenever he had seen fit to threaten Eliza making it more than just a little obvious that he knew her secret and would not hesitate to mention these things to Sarah if Eliza was not entirely careful. Jordan had known that Jeremiah had ended up having problems with Eliza and in the end he had made sure that Jeremiah understood that these threats were not going to keep happening, especially since Eliza had admitted everything to Sarah causing Jeremiah to end up in the situation that he was currently in. Either way, Eliza had tried everything that she possibly could to help Sarah get back together with Jeremiah and she was honestly hoping that Jeremiah had learned his lesson about his jealousy and keeping it under control. All that Jordan and Eliza could do now was wait and hope that certain things would happen that would show Sarah that Jeremiah was sincerely miserable after everything that had happened and that he had definitely deserved another chance. Eliza knew that it would have to be Sarah’s decision whether she had felt that Jeremiah deserved this chance after everything that had happened when Eliza had returned from Fort Ontario and Jeremiah had obviously let his jealousy get in the way of what would have made him honestly and truly happy. Either way, Jordan and Eliza knew that they had done everything that they could in order to help their closest and dearest friends. Friends that would be a big part of their lives regardless of where they were going and what they would be doing for the longest time.

  For several days it had seemed that Sarah could not keep from thinking about everything that Eliza had mentioned to her when it came to giving Jeremiah a chance to explain the reason that certain things had eventually happened. She knew that Jeremiah had felt that he had suffered enough of a heartbreak after these things had happened, but there was that part of her that still felt that Jeremiah had not learned anything about not letting his jealousy take over completely the way he had throughout that entire time. Jealousy that should have never been permitted to get in the way after certain things had eventually taken place. Jordan seemed to realize Jeremiah just might have to face the consequences for everything that he had done during the time that he had been threatening Eliza simply because he had learned that she had been from a different time period and kept quiet about all of these things for the longest time. No matter what Jordan had felt should have happened he knew that Eliza really was finding it hard to hold these things against Jeremiah since he had obviously felt rather threatened by some of the things that had been happening throughout that entire time. Both Jordan and Eliza had seemed to realize that there was no way that Sarah and Jeremiah would discuss any of these things that Monday the way that their closest friends had honestly hoped that they would after everything was said and done. Everything would eventually have to happen when things had seemed to be calming down after the work day had eventually come to an end. Either way, they had both seemed to understand and realize that this was something that would not happen after a single weekend of talking to Sarah and Jeremiah and realizing just how bad these problems and issues had actually been throughout that entire time. This time it would all be up to Sarah and Jeremiah when it came to deciding whether they had wanted to save their current relationship or let it die the way that it had seemed to be doing throughout that time.

  One day Eliza had found herself bringing Sarah to work when she had found herself with a bit of a surprise that she had never been expecting. Even though Sarah would typically spend her time walking to and from Fort Stanwix on the days that she would be working it had seemed that there were still those days when Sarah would call Eliza and ask her if she could give her a ride to work, which had led Eliza to believe that this was something that Sarah was doing mostly to keep from having to deal with Jeremiah and the different ways that he had attempted to talk to her about why he was often acting in the way that he had been doing. The one thing that Eliza would not be expecting that morning was that she would see Jeremiah coming out of Sarah’s apartment so that he could return home for the clothes that he would eventually be wearing when he had gotten to work at about 9:00 that morning. Eliza knew that Jeremiah had lived rather close to the apartment building where Sarah had been living, but with everything that had taken place since she had returned to Rome Sarah had not exactly been willing to talk to Jeremiah or even consider giving him the chance to explain himself for many different reasons. Yet here he was coming out of her apartment building and Eliza knew that he had no reason to be there other than attempting to talk to Sarah for many different reasons. As far as Eliza knew Jeremiah did not have any family or friends that had lived in that building and yet here he was walking out of it just a couple of minutes before he was supposed to be working at the fort. In some ways, Eliza could not keep from smiling because she had gotten the feeling that Sarah had finally talked to Jeremiah about certain things that had taken place. That morning when Sarah had come out to Eliza’s car, however, it had become increasingly obvious that she had not talked to Jeremiah at all and that he was only there due to the trouble that he had seemed to be having with his own parents after he had gotten home from work the previous evening. The truth was that Jeremiah could not think of another place where he could go after his parents had started in on him over the things that he was preparing for in a short time when he would find himself getting ready for work during the evening hours when there had been a rather big special event that different people would be going to in order to celebrate the autumn and Halloween season. Jeremiah had found himself turning to Sarah after all of these things had happened knowing that she would completely understand everything that he was currently dealing with. Sarah had tried to think of everything that she had gone through with her parents during the times that she had first started working at Fort Stanwix, and in many ways she had honestly hoped that these experiences would help Jeremiah with the things that he had been dealing with right from the very beginning. All that Sarah could do was talk to Jeremiah about her own experiences and hope that there was something there that would help him in a rather special and unique way. Sarah knew that Eliza would be seeing things differently the minute that she had seen Jeremiah leaving the apartment, but Sarah would eventually explain all of these things when the time was right. She knew that Eliza would understand the reason that Sarah had decided that she would have to help Jeremiah and that sooner or later Eliza would start to realize that there were things happening that had never really changed despite all of the jealousy and anger that Jeremiah had used throughout that entire time. All that Sarah knew for certain was that Jeremiah had seemed to understand more about the reason that he would have to think about everything that his jealousy had eventually caused and hopefully he would be able to learn something from that experience.

  When Sarah and Eliza had gotten to work and had punched in, the first thing that they had seen was Jeremiah and Jordan talking about some of the things that would be happening throughout the last couple of weeks of October. It had seemed that everyone was excited about the event that would be happening at Fort Stanwix in order to celebrate the different things that had been happening for the Halloween season. A season that many of the people in the city of Rome had loved for the longest time and that had been for different reasons. Sarah had loved this Halloween event ever since the first time that she had found herself working around that time. There was also the fact that this had been the first time that she had met Jeremiah and different things had started happening depending on the way that you had been seeing everything that was taking place. Jeremiah had even seemed to be rather excited about these things and had been telling Jordan all about everything that would happen during those early evening hours when there would be guided tours done by candle light or lantern light depending on how the weather happened to be throughout that entire time. Just like Sarah this was the second year that certain things would be taking place and he was glad that he was able to become a rather big part of everything that was eventually taking place. Jordan had experienced so many of the things that people would be hearing about mainly because he had been there when some of these things had been happening, but he was not sure how much of these things he should be talking about when he was working at the fort after the war had eventually been fought. Jeremiah had known about some of the things that Jordan had experienced and even he knew that these things would have to remain a secret until the time that Jordan would be returning to his own time where certain things would be taking place. At least that was what Jeremiah had honestly been thinking throughout that entire time. He had not realized that sooner or later it would be almost impossible for Jordan and Eliza to return to their own time because of the amount of time that they had already spent in a time that had been quite a few years into their future if you had considered everything that had been happening during the time that they had made this mysterious trip into the future. A future that had shown them everything that would happen after the American Revolution had been fought and had been finished for a number of years. For now it had seemed that Jordan had been able to keep quiet about the time that he had spent as a soldier, and as far as anybody else was concerned he was as normal as they were and had learned all of these things in the same way that they had learned about them over the years.

  When Sarah and Eliza had been working at the fort itself it was obvious that they had definitely been talking about Jeremiah and the different things that were often taking place. Eliza had seemed to have different ideas about what Sarah should do since it was obvious that she had spent most of the night talking to Jeremiah about the things that he was struggling with at different times. Deep down Sarah knew that Eliza was right about these things, but there had been other things that she would have to think about and that had included the hell that Jeremiah had seemed to put all of them through for many different reasons. This had honestly been the reason that Sarah had not been sure if Jeremiah had honestly deserved another chance, especially since his anger and jealousy had been aimed toward Eliza that entire time. Yet Eliza had seemed to be doing whatever she could to get Sarah to see things in a completely different way. She had seemed to notice things that even Sarah had never noticed throughout that entire time. Sarah had hoped that there would be a time when certain things would be happening, and that had included getting the chance to talk to Jeremiah about the different things that he had done. She had seemed to realize that Jeremiah had deserved to explain why he had done these things and that had meant that she would definitely need to hear him out regardless of how she had felt about the things that he had done during that time. That evening before Sarah, Eliza, Jeremiah, and Jordan had returned to work for the first of the many lantern lit guided tours Sarah had decided that she would take the opportunity to talk to Jeremiah about everything that had happened shortly before they had ended their relationship because of the foolishness that had taken place. Jeremiah had seemed to realize that something of this nature was bound to start happening, but even then he was not entirely sure when these things would take place. When Sarah had called him and asked if he could meet her at her apartment so that they could talk about a few things, Jeremiah knew that this was something that Sarah had felt was rather important. His parents had never seemed to approve of the things that Jeremiah had been doing since the day that he had met Sarah, but at the same time there had been nothing that they could do about these things after he had told them how serious the relationship had eventually become. Sarah had known that Jeremiah had been struggling with different things that his parents had been complaining about for quite some time and she could honestly say that she was dealing with some of the same things because of the fact that her own parents had never seemed to realize that Jeremiah was someone that she honestly loved regardless of whether they had approved of him at different times. Sarah had never told her parents that she had been attempting to work things out with Jeremiah or that he had been spending time at her apartment at different times. The only person who had really known about these things had been Eliza and Sarah knew that she would not say anything to her parents about the fact that these things were happening for whatever reason. All that Sarah knew for certain was that there were going to be things happening that her parents would never exactly approve of, especially when it came to the different things that had happened when they had first started having these problems with Jeremiah during the time that they had first gotten together.

  Throughout that entire time Sarah had gotten the feeling that she was dealing with the fact that her best friend had wanted her and Jeremiah getting back together, which was part of the reason that she was always doing whatever she could to get Sarah to talk about all of these things with Jeremiah the minute that she had honestly gotten the chance. Sarah had no idea just what Eliza and Jordan could have been thinking during the time that they were attempting to help Sarah and Jeremiah but either way this was something that Sarah knew that she would have to try so that she would at least be able to find out what Jeremiah could have honestly been thinking after certain things had eventually been taking place. Sarah had been pacing during the time that she was waiting for Jeremiah, but at the same time she was feeling rather scared and nervous. What if this discussion with Jeremiah did not work as well as she had honestly believed that it would and even then what if Jeremiah had decided that all of these things were eventually pointless because there was no way that anything would happen that would cause them to eventually get back together. Either way, Sarah knew that she would at least have to make the attempt to try to do these things before it was too late. By the time that Jeremiah had actually gotten to the apartment building it was obvious that there was bound to be someone there that was going to be giving him a bit of a hard time. This was something Jeremiah had expected after the last time that certain things had seemed to be happening when he had made the attempt to see Sarah and talk to her about the things that had eventually taken place. In the end Sarah had ended up having to come out of her apartment and tell the secretary that was usually running things in the office and near the lobby that for that particular moment it was okay for Jeremiah to come up to her apartment due to the fact that they had a few things that they had to eventually discuss and work out that had been something that was rather private. At first it had seemed that the secretary was not about to listen to Sarah but she knew that the people that were living in the building had every right to decide who they wanted in their apartments and who they didn’t, especially if there were things that they were going to be talking about that had nothing to do with the other people that had lived in or around that particular area. Either way, it was becoming obvious that Sarah was going to have to make special arrangements with the people that were running the office so that they would understand the reason that Jeremiah was currently permitted to spend time in her apartment whether they had been dating throughout that entire time or not. All that Sarah was worried about during that time, however, was making sure that Jeremiah could understand the real reason that she had felt the way that she did and hope that this was something that he could understand after everything was officially said and done. Sarah had hoped that by the time she had talked to Jeremiah about the things that were eventually happening that Eliza and Jordan would start to realize that Sarah had her own special ways of figuring out how she wanted to deal with the different things that were often happening and that had included dealing with her current relationship with Jeremiah and quite possibly his parents. Parents who had never exactly approved of her for reasons that she had never seemed to understand throughout the time that they had been together.

  Once Jeremiah and Sarah had made their way to her apartment and were sitting in the living room drinking a soda and seeming to be thinking of the best way that they had wanted to discuss all of these things it had been obvious that Sarah had been feeling more than just a little nervous about the entire situation. Even though it had been Eliza that had mentioned certain things to Sarah it had still been rather difficult for Sarah to deal with the things that would eventually make it possible for Sarah and Jeremiah to get back together. In many ways Sarah wasn’t sure if rekindling her relationship with Jeremiah was such a good idea, but she had to admit that Jeremiah had deserved a chance to tell Sarah the reason he had felt the way that he did after they had ended their relationship because of his anger and jealousy. Before Sarah knew what was happening she had found herself talking to Jeremiah as if they had always been the best of friends. Sarah had to admit that this was something that she had missed ever since the day that the decision was made that she would be better off without him because of everything that he had done throughout that entire time. By the time that Jeremiah had gotten ready to head home they had talked about things that had gone unsaid after they had spent their time remembering the good things that had taken place between them. Jeremiah had eventually admitted that he had never wanted to return home, especially since his parents were bound to give him a hard time about the different things that would eventually be taking place throughout the entire time that they had realized that he was quite possibly going to get Sarah back in his life regardless of how they had felt about everything during that entire time. Jeremiah had never had to deal with all of these things before, but after certain things had happened it was obvious that everything was completely different. Different in ways that nobody else would have seemed to understand even if they had been there for him throughout that entire time. For the first time in a long time Sarah had spent more than a few minutes talking to Jeremiah and making him believe that there was the slightest possibility that he could get Sarah back in his life regardless of the things that his family had honestly felt was for the best for him even after certain things had been happening once the truth had eventually come out. Either way, Jeremiah was sure that his biggest dream about having Sarah back in his life was something that was going to be happening no matter how his parents had felt throughout that entire time.
