And no one would have ever thought that the one to knock them away would be the final disciple of the Saint City Lord, the Eastern Sea’s Long Yue that had shut himself in and disappeared from the everyone’s sights for half a year!
Everyone thought that they were about to witness a spectacular battle between two parties whose strength and reputation matched the other. But little did they predict that the battle would end so quickly and in such a unique yet odd way.
Even Qing He who had been following Zhong Yue all the way here did not expect this as well.
“This Long Yue is just way too strong!” murmured Qing He.
“Long Yue is being chased by this many Atman Body level Qi Practitioners!?”
On the city walls, uproars occurred among the monster Qi Practitioners and when they all stood up and looked, they saw the Atman Body level Qi Practitioners had already warped into giant gods and demons that were all around twenty meters tall!
The one leading the charge was a giant with the head of an eagle and body of a human. This giant flapped his wings behind his back as he flew in the air and every time his hands slammed towards the direction of the ground, he would send out thunder that would strike the ground, piercing it as if they were as sharp as blades.
And on the ground, an Atman Body level Qi Practitioners let out continuous roars. He was an incredibly huge boar monster; he ran quickly while the five wheels spun quickly behind him and he launched a myriad of spells towards the front, disintegrating everything in their path.
Then, a lava ocean suddenly erupted out from the ground, out of which, appeared another huge monster!
But Zhong Yue had already gotten onto the chains that attached to the city walls, denying that monster any chances of launching another attack. Then, that Atman level monster showed itself, it was a lizard-headed Atman Body level Qi Practitioner with snake tails. He dashed towards the chains after emerging from the ground as he breathed fire from his mouth.
“Eastern Sea’s Long Yue, how dare you attack me from behind!”
Yuan Ji shouted furiously and after regaining his balance, he coughed out a huge amount of blood and he rushed towards the chains where Zhong Yue stood with a wooden stake.
“Little kids should just go and play somewhere else, begone!”
Just as Yuan Ji moved, he immediately blocked the path of the eagle-headed Qi Practitioner, who then flapped his wings, creating a gust of wind that blew Yuan Ji away. When Yuan Ji managed to regain his balance once again, he was already twenty miles away from his original position and he couldn't help but be greatly shocked.
Whereas on the city walls, Hua Feiyu was glued to the walls as he was flung into the walls after being sent flying away by Zhong Yue. Just when he managed to free herself, he was scared to death as he saw the spells cast by the lizard-headed Qi Practitioner shooting straight towards her. He then quickly slid down from the walls and upon looking up, he realized that the spells were directed at Zhong Yue who was currently running around on the chains.
This guy is just an Awakening level Qi Practitioner, I am interested to see how he is planning to dodge the attacks of an Atman Body level Qi Practitioner….
“Thousand Dragon Walls!”
From Zhong Yue’s palms, countless Jiao Dragons emerged that wound around each other to form a huge shield of their interwoven serpentine bodies. It was one of the defensive arts of the dragon race!
Tu Shishan’s spells clashed onto the【Thousand Dragon Walls】and they shattered alongside with the【Thousand Dragon Walls】while Zhong Yue used the impact of the clash to increase his speed and fly towards the city walls of the Saint City.
Zhong Yue almost rammed into the city walls but he suddenly transformed into a 6-foot long Xiang Dragon as he clamped his legs towards the bricks of the city walls before running on the walls in a way that simply defied physics.
Xi Qiao and the other Atman Body level Qi Practitioners arrived quickly, only to find that the Xiang Dragon had landed on the city walls and turning back to the dragon-headed humanoid form as it landed.
Furious gusts of wind blew by and the few Atman Body level Qi Practitioners landed on the city wall, the impact force of their landing blowing away the surrounding spectating monster Qi Practitioners away.
Then, they looked at Zhong Yue with livid expressions and raging fires burning within their eyes
Zhong Yue however, smiled and said, “Brothers, I have to remind you that it would be wise to not act recklessly against me for I, the final disciple of the Saint City Lord, am standing in Xian Kong Saint City now.”
The few Atman Body level Qi Practitioners’ faces turned dark and as much as they wanted to kill Zhong Yue, they were too afraid to do it. After all, Zhong Yue was Shi Buyi’s final disciple and if they killed him in the city, they were bound to be burned by the fires of Shi Buyi’s wrath with their respective clans even facing possible annihilation for their impropriety!
The spectating Qi Practitioners that were blown away by the strong wind regained their balance at the side and when they saw Zhong Yue, they realized that he was slightly messed up but the few Atman Body level Qi Practitioners were not in a good condition as well.
The boar-headed Qi Practitioner called Xi Qiao had one of his hands broken while the eagle-headed Qi Practitioner’s crotch was bleeding and Tu Shishan had a sword wound on his back, which he suffered when he was still burrowing in the ground.
There were two Atman Body level Qi Practitioners at the side that was in quite a muddled condition as well.
Zhong Yue could then be seen walking out from the encirclement of the Atman Body level Qi Practitioners and he waved towards Qing He who was trying to sneak away in the chaotic situation. “Qing He, stop hiding because that is utterly useless.”
Qing He had no choice but to obediently listen to him and she quickly said with a sweet smile, “Master Long, are we going to the Storm Courtyard now?”
She then thought, Yuan Ji and Hua Feiyu’s battle is a huge event and there must be spies from the Xuan Keep around to gather information about it. When they see me being captured by Zhong Yue, they will definitely notify the higher ups of Xuan Gate to save me and through them, I should be able to escape from Zhong Yue’s hands….
In fact, there really were spies of the Xuan Gate present and these were female monsters that became monsters from plants. When they saw Qing He walking to Zhong Yue’s side obediently, they all became shocked. This shock was compounded even further by the way she addressed Long Yue as Master Long. They whispered to each other, “Why is Qing He calling him master? Could Senior Martial Sister Qing have possibly lost her virginity to him?”
“Lord Shu wants Long Yue’s life so how could Qing He listen to Long Yue obediently and even willingly give up her virginity to him? In my opinion, Lord Shu sees Long Yue as an up and coming bright star and he must have married off our Senior Martial Sister Qing He to him.”
“It makes so much sense now! Long Yue is the final disciple of the Saint City Lord. His status is incomparable to most other monsters. To be honest, I don't think the status of Xuan Keep is as high as Xian Kong Saint City at all, after all, no matter how you look, the Saint City Lord is far more powerful in terms of position and strength as compared to our Lord, which makes Long Yue indirectly superior to senior martial sister in these aspects.”
“Just look at her happy expression. It’s not hard to see just how happy she is right now….”

If only Qing He knew their inner thoughts, she would have coughed out huge amounts of blood.
Zhong Yue stopped walking and when he looked around, he saw both Yuan Ji and Hua Feiyu standing there with stiff and angry expressions. He then walked up to them and greeted them as he said, “Dear brothers, I am sorry for my interruption just now as I was in a hurry to enter the city, I did not mean to offend any of you. By the way, were the two of you getting ready to fight just now? Please carry on.”
As the duo heard what he said, they felt furious and speechless but they left just like that.
Zhong Yue was confused and he shook his head as he said, “Why are they acting so weird? I had already apologized so why are they being unreasonable …?”
Qing He was speechless and she said in her heart, They were there to compete for the name of the strongest Awakening level Qi Practitioner among the monsters and now, what are they going to compete for after having been completely mowed down by you with little to no effort? In my opinion, simply not dying of anger and frustration is already the limit of what their cultivation base right now.
Meanwhile, in the Storm Courtyard, Zhong Yue felt relieved and blood flowed out from his mouth as he felt his body was going to explode while even more blood gushed out from the countless wounds on his body.
The attacks of Xi Qiao and the other many Atman Body level Qi Practitioners that were chasing him all the way had left behind heavy injuries on his body.
As Zhong Yue was chased after by them, he had barely any time to treat his wounds and he tried to suppress his injuries. But after reaching relative safety upon entering the Storm Courtyard, he was no longer able to suppress them any longer. Hence, the sudden outpour of blood.
Long Chun’er and the other girls had a scare and when they quickly got up to help Zhong Yue to stem his bleeding, Qing He quickly said, “Don’t stop the bleeding. This is all dead blood and they must be removed from his body or they will clog up in his body, which would only worsen his injuries!”
Zhong Yue nodded and said, “I’ve traveled for a long distance with these injuries and I will be fine after this dead blood is completely removed. Qing He, all of you, please leave me alone as I treat my injuries.”
Qing He and the others left his room and Zhong Yue started cultivating【Sun Moon Prodigious Emanation Art】to treat his wounds and prevent his injuries from worsening any further.
If those were just minor injuries, they would be harmless as he could stop the blood from flowing out of his body simply through a few muscle contractions here and there. Or he could even halt the blood flow of his injured areas through his psyche.
However, there were just way too many injuries on him and the attacks of the Atman Body level Qi Practitioners had left behind some repercussions which were causing damage to his body. This damage came in the form of the dead blood. With that, he could only treat his wounds if he used his full strength on treating them.
The Atman Body level Qi Practitioners are after all stronger than me even if I used my Fang Blade against them. I would not be able to win easily.
After almost half an hour or so, Zhong Yue finally managed to neutralize the injuries that were inflicted by the Atman Body Practitioners and he gradually recovered. He then thought, But now, I am not far away from reaching the third form of the Yuan Shen and once my Yuan Shen has achieved opening the third form along with my Fang Blade, I would not be afraid to fight any Atman Body Level Qi Practitioners anymore!
The only reason he chose to depart to Xian Kong Saint City first before going to Eastern Sea was that he knew that his enemies would not let this rare opportunity slip by.
After all, as long as the soul lantern was not destroyed and with Lang Qingyun pulling the strings from behind, his enemies would definitely be able to know his exact locations no matter where he went.
And Xian Kong Saint City was a place where he had the opportunity to adjust himself. After a long journey of cultivation, he would be able to breach his limits and achieve the third form of Yuan Shen!
With that, not only would the Great Sun Golden Crow Yuan Shen have a third form, but so would the Starry Toad Yuan Shen!
This would definitely become a huge step for him, which would grant him even more combat power. This, in turn, would grant him at least some hope of fighting his way out this encirclement of enemies so that he could reach the Eastern Sea.
And on his way to Xian Kong Saint city, he could feel that the time he would achieve the third Yuan Shen form was very near. This feeling only intensified after the intense battle with his pursuers. He felt that it would take at most half a month for him to achieve the third Yuan Shen form!
Only by achieving the third Yuan Shen form will I have any chance of getting to the Eastern Sea alive and these Atman Body level Qi Practitioners will no longer be a difficult obstacle to overcome.
Zhong Yue shut himself and the Storm Courtyard from any outsiders as soon as he went into cultivation to treat his injuries. Without his permission, no one would be able to get in or get out while Long Chun’er, Long Xia’er, and the other girls summoned the servants in the courtyard to check on the account books.
Zhong Yue was the final disciple of Shi Buyi and each month, the Saint City Lord Hall will distribute all sorts of spirit herbs to every department. Other than that, territories under Storm Courtyard will also produce many minerals, resources, and spirit herbs, which of which belonged to Zhong Yue.
After Long Chun’er and the others were done reviewing and checking the account books, it had already been four days.
Qing He was very envious as she got to know that the four girls were able to handle tasks like these with ease and startling efficiency and she thought to herself, If I managed to escape from here, I will definitely take these four girls as well. They are just too capable… Now, the spies of Xuan Keep must have notified the higher-ups by now and reinforcements should definitely be on their way, I assume.
She smiled and thought again, As the reinforcements from Xuan Keep arrive, I do not need to kill him and I could make him my servant….
Meanwhile, the few female monster spies of Xuan Keep were still gossiping about Qing He as they all echoed enviously, “Being able to marry Master Long, Senior Martial Sister Qing He is just too lucky. We are really happy for her!”

Qing He’s lips curled in self-satisfaction as she thought of this. The prospect of her eventual rescue allowed her to keep her composure while staying in the Storm Courtyard as she waited for Xuan Keep to save her. But little did she know that her junior martial sisters in Xian Kong Saint City were only lost in gossip about her ‘marriage’ to Master Long’ and that they failed to notify the higher ups of Xuan Keep.
The senior martial brothers and senior martial sisters of Xuan Keep will definitely come to save me and Zhong Yue can only be scared to death by that time!
A few days later, a tremendous surge of energy could be felt coming from Zhong Yue’s room. When Qing He quickly look towards his room, she saw the image of a 20-foot tall deity with six eyes that looked like moons appearing above of Zhong Yue’s room.
The third Yuan Shen form!
Qing He looked again in shock to find that the deity had disappeared to be replaced by an eight-limbed, seven-eyed deity with a vertical eye on the forehead!
The eight-limbed Ming King and the six-eyed deity merged together and they became even more strange yet much more powerful!
This Long Yue has achieved the third Yuan Shen form in just a short time!
Qing He felt nothing but shock as she murmured, Just how long has it been since he entered the Awakening level and yet, he has already managed to achieve the third Yuan Shen form….
Some Qi Practitioners were stuck in the Spirit Nurturing level for their entire life, failing to step foot into the realm of Rebirth until their deaths.
While some others would only take months or years to ascend into the Rebirth level from the Spirit Nurturing level; this was where talent came in.
At every level, only a minority of the Qi Practitioners would manage to exceed their capabilities and enter the next level.
In this world, there were truly some exceptionally talented individuals that were able to cultivate much faster than the others but someone like Zhong Yue was the first Qing He had ever seen.
“Will he become another magnate figure for the monsters in the future?” murmured Qing He.
Suddenly, the eight-limbed deity disappeared as Zhong Yue’s Yuan Shen changed rapidly again into the Six-Eyed Starry Toad that lay on the ground. Zhong Yue then frowned and said to himself, “Strange, how am I not able to maintain the third form any longer?”
As soon as he achieved the third Yuan Shen form, he immediately sensed the immense power hidden in the third Yuan Shen form and after stimulating the 【Monster God Ming King Art】, he felt that the power was increased by two folds. But without much time to relish in this new-found power, his Yuan Shen quickly reverted back into the second form.
He then tried to cast the third Yuan Shen form again, only to discover that there was no more energy in the Wan Xiang and Shen Cai secret realm, thus, preventing him from using the third Yuan Shen form.
“Why is thing happening? Could it be that my third Yuan Shen form just now depleted the energy in the secret realms?” said Zhong Yue in a very low voice.
Xin Huo on the other hand, stood at the shoulder of Zhong Yue’s Yuan Shen and he suddenly flew into the body of the Yuan Shen and entered the Dao Yi secret realm. He then ran out from the Dao Yi secret realm and ran into the eyes to observe the Yin Yang secret realm before entering the Shen Cai secret realm.
Not long later, this little flame observed the entire five Yuan Shen secret realms in the body of Zhong Yue’s Yuan Shen and he said, “Brat Yue, the problems are with the five great secret realms and your Wu Xing and Shen Cai secret realms have far more power than the other three secret realms. The energy needed to cast the third Yuan Shen form is incredibly huge and because of the lower energy capacity of your other three secret realms, they are insufficient to maintain the third Yuan Shen form. If you want to be able to sustain it any longer to obtain more power, you’d have to cultivate the five wheels to the peak level!”
Zhong Yue frowned slightly as his Wu Xing secret realms had achieved the highest level through absorbing a mountain of soul weapons while the Yin Yang secret realms had managed to achieve the same through the Yin Yang secret realms of a godly spirit.
