The dimensions then slowly broke down from one layer to another before a giant came rushing out from the dimension. As soon as the giant stopped running, blood started to gush out from his mouth as even for someone like him, it was a little too much to run three years non stop.
Giant Fu Li panted and the blood in his mouth splashed everywhere and he said with a thunderous voice, “Why keep such garbage like him alive? He will only prove to be nothing more than an enemy in the future! Now, which one of you is Zhong Yue!.”

Zhong Yue and Jiang Yiqi did not see this coming. Jiang Yiqi squinted his eyes and he hesitated; foe or friend, he did not know which side Fu Li belonged to. If he was an enemy, then it would be terrible if he let Zhong Yue get close to this giant.
“I am Zhong Yue.”
But just as he was still hesitating, Zhong Yue already stood out, “Is there something you need from me?”
“You are Zhong Yue?”
The giant examined Zhong Yue from head to toe with a weird expression. “What a strange bloodline. It is similar to mine but at the same time, it is different. You are a human?”
Zhong Yue did not try to hide anything in front of him, thus, he nodded and confirmed his question.
The puzzled giant then murmured, “Are you like those humans in the Zi Wei Galaxy that have the bloodline from the other races? Humans can all turn into Fuxi but if you have some other bloodline in you, you will only become half a Fuxi.”
Zhong Yue was speechless at this giant’s action and he said, “Chasing after us from the Fourth Divine City up to here, is there something you need, elder?”
Now, he greatly respected this giant; his speed and endurance were terrifyingly strong as he actually managed to keep up with them and kept running for three years!
Jiang Yiqi once said that only those in the same level as Imperial Emperor could travel freely without the Starry Road to Heavens and with a speed faster than the teleportal cosmic light.
And Fu Li was obviously not someone in that level but a Creator. He, however, still managed to keep up with Starry Road to Heavens’ teleportal cosmic light for such a long time just by running, which was incredibly admirable.
“I almost forgot my purpose here!”
The giant ignored Jiang Yiqi completely, placed his club beside his leg and reached his hand towards Zhong Yue and said, “Human Sovereign told me to tell you not to go to Zi Wei Galaxy anymore. He’s already passed away and he wanted you to follow me. Jump onto my palm and I’ll take you away!”
His hand was extremely massive and with his palm stretched out, his palm felt like it was a tiny world itself with the palm prints being the mountains and rivers.
“Human Sovereign is really dead?”
Jiang Yiqi was completely shaken by the tragic words coming from Fu Li, “How is this possible?”
“I don’t know.”
Said the giant, “That’s what he told me when he gave me his message. I was very confused too. The fact that he could still send me a message suggesting that he is still alive so why did he say that is beyond me. But, since I’ve promised him, I intend to honor my word. Now Zhong Yue, let’s go.”
Chasing us all the way to here?
Zhong Yue was stunned by what the giant did; because of one promise, he chased after a teleportal cosmic light for almost three years, even tiring himself to a point where he suffered internal injuries. Such endurance, such tenacity was amazing and he proved himself to be a man of his words.
“How did senior Fu Li get to know Human Sovereign?” asked Zhong Yue.
The giant replied, “Almost every ancient universe’s human knows him. He too, had come from the ancient universe but he went to Zi Wei Galaxy. He is a good man with incredible talents, but his talent was wasting away in the Zi Wei Galaxy. He shouldn’t have gone there….”
The Human Sovereign was one with great ambition. He controlled a massive power in the ancient universe and had the ability to raise a grand army effortlessly. He, however, chose to remain a captive in the Zi Wei Galaxy. In the end, he never even had the chance to get out from the Zi Wei Galaxy, and everything he wanted to do was denied from him.
Zhong Yue kept quiet for a while and after a quick consideration, he answered, “I’m not going with you.”
Along with Jiang Yiqi, the giant was caught off guard by Zhong Yue and they both looked at him in confusion.
Zhong Yue explained, “Senior Fu Li, because of the promise you made with Human Sovereign, you ran non stop for three years and even went as far as injuring yourself just to catch up with us. While you are a man of your word, I am also one. I’ve promised the Human Sovereign that I will see him in Zi Wei, and so I will go and see him, whether he is alive or dead.”
The giant was stunned by his words and after scratching his head, he said, “You are a stubborn one, aren’t you? Old man, you’re Jiang Yiqi? Human Sovereign said that you don’t have to go back anymore. You will only die if you go back, he did not wish to see this happen.”
Jiang Yiqi shook his head and replied, “I am greatly indebted to Human Sovereign. Regardless of whether he is still alive or not, I must return no matter the cost and take over his position as promised. If I don’t go back, humanity’s situation will only deteriorate if those traitors take over his throne.”
“So you are a stubborn one as well, just like him,” said the giant while he scratched his head again.
“Aren’t you one too?” said Zhong Yue suddenly with a smile.
The giant was stunned again and suddenly, he burst out laughing, “I am indeed! The three of us, the old, the middle age and the young, we are really alike!”
Zhong Yue laughed at his words and after a moment, he hesitatingly said, “Senior Fu Li, I want….”
The giant interfered right away when he heard this, “Don’t call me senior. I can tell that you’ve lived for a very long time through your eyes, which makes it really weird when you called me senior. If you don’t mind, you can just call me brother.”
“Brother Fu Li, I just want to know how many humans are there residing in the ancient universe?” asked Zhong Yue and after a quick consideration, Zhong Yue asked carefully, “Where are you staying? How am I supposed to find you guys? I plan to drop for a visit someday in the future if I am still alive.”
“We live a life with the heaven as our blanket and the earth as our bed. We wander everywhere and it really is a difficult task to find us.
The giant replied, “In truth, we humans are all laborers. When we need money and food, we would become mercenaries for the other races to help them in their wars. The old elders and I would take the entire human race wandering with us. The gods and demons here all like to hire us to fight their wars on their behalf. Of course, we would only offer our help to those who paid more.”
Zhong Yue and Jiang Yiqi did not see this coming at all; they have never expected that the humans in the ancient universe were living such a life and enduring such hardship.
“If you want to find us, this is something that may help you,” said the giant before he continued looking for some something. But in the end, he couldn’t find anything suitable. He scratched his head once again and asked, “Do you like insects? I have a lot of golden bugs here….”
He then took out a few hundred meters miles long golden insect race’s insect god. He slapped the head of this insect god and with a shiver, the insect’s size rapidly shrunk and turned into a half demon and half insect god. The few ten meters tall insect god then stood at the side obediently.
“I’ll give this bug to you, he is completely under my control.”
Fu Li’s face split into a wide smile, “This is a Golden Light Bug that possesses the fastest speed among all the insects. If you want to look for me, just get into the ancient universe and this bug will do the rest. Now go, follow Zhong Yue and keep him safe at all cost.”
This insect god was at least a Deity Overlord level god. He had huge mandibles filled with sharp barbs and his body was completely made of celestial gold. However, he was very obedient and he followed Fu Li’s order exactly.
Zhong Yue thought for a while and after cutting a wound in his wrist, he extracted a drop of celestial blood and handed it over to Fu Li, “Brother Fu Li, when you get back to your people, please hand this blood to the elders.”
Giant Fu Li was puzzled by his action but he kept the blood away still before saying, “Well then, I’ll be leaving now, you don’t have to send me off!”
Swarms of golden-colored bugs then flew out from his Yuan Shen secret realms as he spoke and two insect mothers appeared under his feet, lifting him up and carrying the giant all the way into the ancient universe.
Zhong Yue looked at the golden insect god standing beside him and he kept the insect into the Heaven Origin Reincarnation Mirror.
“I never thought that there are actually humans like them in the ancient universe.”
Jiang Yiqi praised and said, “So it appears that the Human Sovereign had been keeping in touch with them and planned things for a long time already. What a shame, there wasn’t even a chance for him to do anything.”
The two then continued their journey and when they got to the Eighth Divine City, Jiang Yiqi said, “The Ninth Divine City is the center of the ancient universe, the origin of the entire universe. This is where the time and dimension of the rest of the universe was born and only through the Ninth Divine City will we be able to get into the Zi Wei Galaxy. After all, the Zi Wei Galaxy is in a higher dimension.
Zhong Yue couldn’t help but look forward to getting into the Ninth Divine City and the Zi Wei Galaxy.
Though the Eighth Divine City was still a planet split in half, this city had a more secured defense and the guards here were generally stronger than the other cities. Apart from that, this city was not a lonely city floating in the ancient universe but a city that was lifted up by a massively huge divine statue’s hand.
This statue was much bigger than the planet and the divine city appeared to be nothing more than the size of an egg in its hand. This statue was ancient yet detailed and there were even gods that worshipped it.
“This is the current Heavenly Monarch’s divine statue. He made and left it here to guard this place to prevent their enemies residing within the ancient universe from attacking the city.”
Jiang Yiqi explained, “Those who dare to attack a city are often experts. In that case, this city will not hold their ground for long and that is when the statue comes in. The gods guarding this city will start praying to the statue and the Heavenly Monarch’s power will descend from the Zi Wei Galaxy, awakening the statue and bestowing it with half of the Heavenly Monarch’s strength.”
Zhong Yue was in awe hearing this and after a quick rest, they got onto the teleportal and headed toward their next destination
Meanwhile, the giant Fu Li rode on the two insect mother flew right into the ancient universe among the swarm. Throughout his way, he continuously rest and spread his senses around in search of something. Half a year later, his eyes lit up and he flew right into a corner in the universe.
Not long later, a massive object appeared in his eyes. It was actually a chain of at least 300 massive planets that were connected by bridges made of divine gold.
Apart from the bridges, there were a hundred giants that carried suns above their heads as they circled around the planets quickly to provide light.
Then, ancient and tall buildings that stood all the way into the skies were everywhere in these planets while countless residents in these planets built a unified civilization.
And in the divine palaces all over the planets stood innumerable statues. These statues were all the Nuwa of Fuxi’s statue, human head serpent body and a divine third eye on the forehead.
The Giant Fu Li flew past the many planets and finally arrived at the center of these wandering planets, which was a huge ancient continent where the strongest human wanderers lived.
“Fu Li is back!”
Fu Li arrived at the divine temple at the center and as he was summoned by the humans’ elders, he bowed and reported, “I’ve completed my promise with Human Sovereign but that Zhong Yue was a stubborn one. He insisted on going to the Zi Wei Galaxy and refused to follow me.”
The elders frowned right away; these elders were all muscular and in their body hid relentless raw power and they all gave off a brutal and barbaric aura. They said, “What’s so good about Zi Wei Galaxy? Once he gets there, he will become nothing more than a high-level slave and that is how Human Sovereign’s ambition and talents got crushed after being trapped there forever.”
Fu Li then said, “But Zhong Yue gave me a drip of blood and asked me to hand it over to the elders.”
Having that said, he then took out the blood, which shocked the many elders right away.
They all stood up and shouted, “Fuxi divine blood!”
“He is a Fuxi!”
“Where is he!?”
The elders lost their mind right away and Fu Li answered, “He is on his way to Zi Wei now.”
The elders were all disappointed by this answer but Zi Wei Galaxy was a place where they dare not enter at all.
“Fuxi is back! We made our surname into “Fu” because we dare not forget our ancestors and humiliate them. Finally, the Fuxi is back!”
They were all excited and suddenly, the grand elder said, “The last Fuxi…. Do you think that we had awoken that weapon too early? If we knew that there is this Fuxi, we wouldn’t have awakened it too early.”
The elders all quiet down right away and after exchanging glances, one of them said, “But it’s too late now. The weapon is awakened for a few hundred years now and we can’t let it get into slumber again. All we can do now is hope for the best….”
“What weapon?” asked a confused Fu Li.
“The weapon of Fuxi,” answered the grand elder without any intention of explaining more.
Chapter 781: Death of the Human Sovereign |
The Ninth Divine City.
Zhong Yue stood here and he felt like he was standing at the center of the universe where the sun, moon, and stars circled the city.
The strangest thing was that the stars he saw here were just balls of light rather than real stars. Besides, these lights were so close to the city, if they were just within reach.
Everything here was strange and novel to Zhong Yue. The Ninth Divine City was the beginning of everything. And from the city, everything outside was as they were since the inception of the universe. The heaven and earth were born after the big bang and evolved constantly. Only by walking out from this city will someone realized that this universe was actually that ancient.
In this city located at the center of the universe, there was no concept of time; everything was frozen at the time when the universe was born.
But this frozen time flow applied only to the view around; for Zhong Yue, Jiang Yiqi and the others who were not innate gods, they were not part of the frozen time flow, thus, they would still die of old age or killed even if they were inside the Ninth Divine City.
“This is the center of the universe where all things started. The Zi Wei Galaxy is inside another higher-level dimension.”
Jiang Yiqi said, “That place is only accessible through the portal in the center of the universe. One can only get there from the other place if they possess overwhelming power.”
He suddenly remembered something and said, “Oh, there is another way! The Imperial Road of the Heavenly Monarch, a path left behind by the Heavenly Monarch in the ancient Fire Order Era! That is a much quicker path for it was a Dao path created by the Heavenly Monarch. Through that path, we can get there much quicker than the teleportal but it was already abandoned for more than billions of years. However, not long ago, Imperial Road of the Heavenly Monarch lit up as some mysterious figures walked on it and right into Zi Wei, causing quite a ruckus!”
Imperial Road of the Heavenly Monarch? It must be Feng Xiaozhong, Senior Martial Brother Feng!
Zhong Yue asked in excitement, “Did they find this person?”
Jiang Yiqi shook his head and replied, “A lot of them searched around but found nothing. However, this had caught Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s attention; thus, he and the other Imperial Emperors forged the Skymetrical Scroll and Divine Tree of Knowledge to seal the Ancestral Star at the other end of Imperial Road.”
Zhong Yue was shocked and he shouted, “So that weird-looking layer and the strange tree is Skymetrical Scroll and Divine Tree of Knowledge!”
“The Skymetrical Scroll seals the heaven and earth, locking off the Ancestral Star’s dimension and the Divine Tree of Knowledge altered the heaven and earth’s Dao, allowing a fake Dao to take over the Ancestral Star’s Dao, supplanting the Dao in the Ancestral Star.”
Jiang Yiqi added, “The Human Sovereign, however, knew that Imperial Emperor Xian Tian was creating the Skymetrical Scroll to seal the Ancestral Star long ago. Thus, he went to Skyfire Wasteland to harvest the sparks of the Heavenly Fire and cultivated it secretly before handing it to me. He told me to look for a chance to burn a hole in Skymetrical Scroll to open a hole for the humans in Ancestral Star. Sometime later, I succeeded and burnt a small hole in Skymetrical Scroll.”
Zhong Yue was even more shocked at this time and he felt extremely weird.
This hole Jiang Yiqi talked about was the one hole Zhong Yue found and used when he left the Ancestral Star!
In truth, that hole was not as small as Jiang Yiqi described; the hole Jiang Yiqi burnt was as huge as a planet and King Zi Guang had to choice but to move an entire planet to cover it!
For Zhong Yue, all he knew before this was that the Human Sovereign took great care for the humans in Ancestral Star and that he wanted to change help the humans there to change their fate. Now, he knew that the way he managed to get out from Ancestral Star was closely related to Human Sovereign and Jiang Yiqi.
He then told Jiang Yiqi about this, who was did not see things coming and after some time when he recollected his thoughts back, Jiang Yiqi said, “Human Sovereign asked me to destroy Skymetrical Scroll and you escaped through it… is this destiny?”
