“This Mister Yi, he is exceptional. His attainments in lightning are no weaker than the pureblood Leizhe.” Royal Prince Wen Chang praised, “My appreciation toward his talents grows by the second.”
Zhong Yue flourished his hand like an artist painting in the starry space, raised the lightning seas between them and the armada. The fleet of warships sailed straight into the lightning sea and crushed their way out of it.
The warships sailed in the midst of the lightning seas no different than any other casual sails. No matter how vigorous the lightning waves pounced on them, the warships were left with not even a single scar.
Meanwhile, the Astray Envoys visualized the gates above them which the gates then slammed down into the lightning seas and cleared the lightning waves around the impact area.
The Astray Envoys maintained the gates as the warships sailed into it. Unknowingly to them, there was lightning that had furtively flashed and disappeared into the structure of the gates, recombining themselves with the gates’ totem patterns.
Then, the warships sailed the gates and they all disappeared from the lightning seas.
Zhong Yue turned back and kept mum. Moments later, he shook and mumbled, “These hundred thousand of lives are done for. I never wanted this, but I’m left with no choice as if I don’t, they’ll kill us.”
Beside him, Dong Ah, Xi He, and the others were puzzled, they asked, “Mister, what hundred thousand of lives?”
Zhong Yue shook again, not answering their questions.

On the other end of space, the gates emerged out of nowhere and the dimensional space tunnel was opened. The warships sailed out of the gates and immediately, the Zhu Shi gods were filled with immense terror as they found the warships and gates melting in the midst of the boundless sunfire!
“Why were we teleported into the sun?!” The gods plunged into total chaos. The suns in the Zi Wei Galaxy were no ordinary suns like those found in the 3,000 Six Paths Worlds. The suns here were far more dangerous, more powerful and deadly; thus, the preferred term for the suns in the Zi Wei Galaxy was the godly suns.
As a result, only the Creators were fit to be the God of Suns, only they could control and manipulate the terrifying power that the godly suns contained in them.
Even the godly suns’ sunfire was Creator-level godly flames.
Although this was only an ordinary godly sun, it was still a force that was beyond the armada’s capabilities to endure. The warships’ and gates’ structures began to melt as their totem patterns dissolved.
“LEAVE NOW!” Royal Prince Wen Chang’s face changed dramatically, he shouted in command, “Keep the gates! Don’t cast them anymore! Cast the warships and rush for the outside!”
The gods immediately surged their arcane energy into the warships to rush out from the godly sun. All of a sudden, one of the warships’ defensive totem patterns were all crushed by the sunfire and the godly flames were granted unrestricted access to every part of the warship!
In just a breath’s time, the whole warship and the gods in it were reduced to ash!
Only Deity Overlords would be able to withstand the sunfire, but not for long either!
Weapon Ancestor could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He glanced around and saw another warship burning into ash and just like that, he had lost another ten thousand of his Zhu Shi Celestial Race clansmen.
Despite the burning heat of the sunfire, his heart was colder than it had ever been. Hearing the cries of pain and curses from his dying people, a tide of helplessness washed over him.
One warship after another was incinerated by the sunfire!
Royal Prince Wen Chang’s face turned dark and gloomy, he cast out a piece of longcloth and it rolled a pathway out from the sun. The warship they were in sailed on and escaped from it.
“It’s the lightning seas! There were hidden totem patterns in them that changed the gates’ totem patterns during the teleportation!”
Royal Prince Wen Chang’s squinted his eyes and continued in frigid voice, “What a surprise he has given us there. Who would have ever expected Mister Yi to also be a grandmaster of space totem patterns!”
As the warship sailed out from the godly sun, Weapon Master looked back and saw that only two other warships had made it out alive. They were both burning hot in red with one of it still slowly shattering apart. Half of it was burnt and the other half was still burning, there was only a Deity Overlord onboard who writhing in pain as he was being consumed by the fire!
Seconds before the Deity Overlord was reduced into ashes, the six light wheels behind him shone brightly and tens of thousand Zhu Shi gods were thrown out of his Yuan Shen secret realms.
Because he had sheltered the Zhu Shu gods in his Yuan Shen secret realms, the gods weren’t incinerated by the sunfire. And as the Deity Overlord couldn’t hold any longer, he quickly released the gods before he too was reduced to ashes.
Back when the warship’s defensive totem patterns were taken down, he had kept everyone into his Yuan Shen secret realms while he withstood the sunfire on his own. It was him who saved the whole warship’s lives.
Weapon Ancestor’s heart ached in pain, he gritted his teeth and asked, “Your Royal Highness, are you still planning to take Mister Yi under you?”
It was a question with no second option. Royal Prince Wen Chang knew that if he answered yes, the whole of the Zhu Shi Celestial Race would turn their back away from him.
Zhong Yue had now overdone it. He had long since crossed the Zhu Shi Celestial Race’s bottom line. He altered the gates’ totem patterns and delivered over hundreds of thousand Zhu Shi gods to death’s doorstep. The hatred between them could only be resolved by the other’s death.
Although Royal Prince Wen Chang admired Zhong Yue’s talent a lot and intended to take him under him, the Zhu Shi Celestial Race had much more value than a mere talent.
“Only his death can ease my dissatisfactions!” Royal Prince Wen Chang thought of the near-death experience just moments ago and he answered frigidly.
Then, there were another few Deity Overlords that made it out alive from the godly sun. But other than them, there was no one else coming out of it.
A fully weaponized armada and over hundreds of thousand gods, all perished in just a few moments.
“Cast the teleportal gates and check the totem patterns!” Royal Prince Wen Chang commanded.
The surviving Deity Overlords cast out the teleportal gates and check them thoroughly. They cleared the altered totem patterns and returned the gates normal functionality.
Then, Royal Prince Wen Chang ordered the survivors to board only one warship and cast the teleportal gate, chasing after Zhong Yue and the others.
Meanwhile, Bo Di was fluttering his wings unstoppingly, flying past one star after another in tremendous speed.
A long time later, a gate emerged out of thin air behind them and a warship sailed packed with tens of thousand gods sailed out of it.
Their arrival filled the air with an intense pain and sadness; but their will were gathered as one, twisted together with only one goal—to avenge their fallen brothers!
“‘Why is there only one warship?” Xi He was surprised, “Where are the others?”
“Yi Feng! You slaughtered more than hundreds of thousands of my fallen brothers and siblings! I will kill you for this! No matter what it takes!”
Weapon Master stood on the deck and shouted in burning anger, “I will avenge my fallen brothers, you will pay for this! Right here, right now!”
Immediately, Dong Ah, Xi He, and the others turned their head to Zhong Yue in utter shock with their mouths slightly agape

A hundred thousand deaths?

Those missing warships, the missing Zhu Shi gods, killed by Mister Yi?
Although an innate god in his past life, Mister Yi was reincarnated into the human race and was just ascended into deityhood not long ago. How could he possibly possess such great power?
Dong Ah, Xi He, and the others could hear the many questions with no answers lingering in their ears. But the pain and agony from the loss of his armada on Master’s contorted face had erased any doubts that they had. If so, then how exactly did Mister Yi kill the over hundreds of thousand gods?
Zhong Yue raised his hand and drew the lightning seas between them again. He shook in reply, “If you hadn’t tried to kill me, why would I ever do something like that? You brought death upon yourselves, I am just doing what is needed survive.”
Weapon Ancestor and the gods gritted their teeth, they stopped casting the teleportal gates and sailed straight into the lightning seas.

The warship rammed the lightning seas into fragments and continued toward them with tremendous momentum. The Zhu Shi survivors were brimming with killing intent, fueled by the burning desire to avenge their fallen siblings.
Just thinking of the countless Zhu Shi experts that never came out from the godly sun made their blood boil. Every single one of them couldn’t have wait any longer to see Zhong Yue falling into their hands!
However, even with thousands of gods powering the warship, it would still take some time before they could catch up to Zhong Yue and the others.
It was such an awkward distance, it was too far for them to sail by pure speed and too close for them to use the teleportal gates in fear that Zhong Yue would alter the gates’ totem patterns again.
Meanwhile, Bo Di was one of the fastest experts in terms of speed; him flying at full speed was hard for the rest to keep up with, he was just a line slower than Zhong Yue in the form of the Great Sun Golden Crow.
Despite so, a prolonged journey of traveling at full speed had exhausted him. Both his mortal body and cultivation base were overstressed, he wouldn’t be able to last much longer and after this, he would suffer a great loss of his life essence.
“This will not end well.” Zhong Yue looked at the incoming warship, his heart sank to the bottom and he concluded solemnly, “Prepare yourselves for war. People… it is up to your own fate and luck now to decide who will walk out of this alive.”
Dong Ah, Xi He, and the others were shocked. They surged out their arcane energy and cast out their respective divine weapons, preparing for the upcoming battle. Whereas Zhong Yue’s face was deep dark and gloomy, unlike the others, he was able to escape the predicament at anytime he wants.
His cultivation of the [Time Light Spatial Crystal Mystic Scripture] was at a level where he could teleport himself away from the battlefield with just a thought, so long as there wasn’t a Deity Emperor there to stop him.
However, if he left, Bo Di and the others would surely be killed. Although he didn’t really care about their well-being, but having them by his side would considerably reduce future potential troubles.
At the very least, it would be much more appealing and trustworthy if it were Bo Di and the others that announced his identity as an innate god in his past life.
Thus, he wouldn’t allow all of them to die here.
But at the same time, he wasn’t strong enough to save them all with his current strength.
Behind them, the warship was drawing nearer, including them in the Deity Overlords’ skill range and almost immediately, the Deity Overlords launched their skills. The Deity Overlords’ skills were like pythons, slithering their way in the space and gnawed down at Bo Di.
Bo Di fluttered his wings and evaded the incoming skills while Dong Ah and the others who were on his back also launched their skills to ward off the incoming attacks and protect Bo Di from getting injured.
Even Zhong Yue also joined them and warded off the attacks.
But just how strong were the Deity Overlords? Even the after impacts from their skills were enough to inflict considerable damage to them and if not, grave injuries.
The crowd held themselves together well, but Bo Di was still ineluctably slowed down by the skills while the warship was sailing increasingly faster.
All of a sudden, a few dozens of True Deity raised their arms up with the bows and shot the divine arrows. It happened so quickly that it caught them off guard and when they came back to their senses, one of the Xian Tian Palace’s disciple already had a hole bored through his forehead by an arrow. His head exploded like a smashed tomato and blood splattered on the crowd’s faces and clothes.
Xi He screamed in fear, she cast out her divine weapon and warded off the incoming skills madly. Then, a burst of light came from the warship again as another barrage of divine arrows were shot out by the gods; this time, they were aimed at her.
The terrified Xi He reflexively took a sidestep and barely escaped death. A divine arrow slipped past her cheek before taking away the life of another Xian Tian Palace’s disciple!
On the deck of the last warship, Weapon Ancestor took the form of a divine bow, held in the hands of Royal Prince Wen Chang. Although the gods were the ones barraging the divine arrows on them, the two shots that took two lives had come from him.
Royal Prince Wen Chang pulled out the third divine arrow, he drew a full bow and squinted his eyes at Zhong Yue’s head. However, after seconds of mulling, he moved his aim and made Bo Di his third target.
After all, killing Bo Di was much easier as he didn’t have the confidence to kill Zhong Yue in one shot.
When the nocked divine arrow was let loose, it flew like a flash of lightning and appeared right on Bo Di’s back. Bo Di’s scalps tingled and he could feel the tip of the arrow virtually piercing through his heart.
It was at that moment, a shabby furnace emerged between Bo Di and the divine arrow; the divine arrow pierced into the furnace and stopped inches before impaling through it.
Zhong Yue cast the [Desolate Lightning Heavenly Furnace] and reduced the divine arrow into ashes.
To that, Royal Prince Wen Chang smiled and picked up more arrows. Shua, shua, shua — Flashes of light drew beautiful arcs across the space down toward everyone else carried on Bo Di’s back!
Zhong Yue’s face changed drastically, just as he was galvanizing into actions to stop the arrows, the Zhu Shi gods’ attacks were reaching him collectively.
Stop the arrows and he would have to withstand all of the gods’ attacks; but if he didn’t, Bo Di and the others would all die!
“Mister Yi, run!” Dong Ah shouted, “Have the Xian Tian Palace’s supreme senior martial brother avenge us!”
Then, one of the Xian Tian Palace’s disciple rushed to Zhong Yue’s front and shielded him while shouting, “Mister Yi, go! We will send you out!”
Zhong Yue startled for a split second and sighed in his heart, They take me as friends but I am destined to betray the Xian Tian Palace. By then, will I truly be able to view them as my enemy and kill them?
As he sighed, he surged his arcane energy and swept Bo Di, Dong Ah, and the others into his Yuan Shen secret realms. He said solemnly, “I will bring us all out of this!”
Bo Di and the others were still shocked while Zhong Yue turned into an Innate Golden Crow and fluttered his wings. He evaded the incoming attacks in tremendous agility and rushed to exit the predicament in extreme speed.
On the deck, Royal Prince Wen Chang ordered frigidly, “Gods, heed my command, draw the bow.”
The tens of thousand gods raised their arms, sounds of metal clanking filled the warship as all of the Zhu Shi gods removed their divine bows from their back and nocked a divine arrow, pointing at the escaping Zhong Yue.
“Release!” Abruptly, Royal Prince Wen Chang shouted.
In the blinding light of the thousands of divine arrows, the suns and stars have lost their brilliance. The divine arrows all had a common target—Zhong Yue!
Looking at the blinding rays alone, Bo Di couldn’t have withstood the pressure at all and was only able to relief part of the oppressing ambiance a little by spurting out a mouth of coagulated blood.
Suddenly, he burst out in loud laughters and cast out his divine weapon against the incoming divine arrows, “I never once thought we would meet our ends here and now!”
“But with us all together, death is not to be feared!” Xi He, Dong Ah, and the others laughed as well. They cast out their divine weapons and surged all of their arcane energy out at the divine arrows.
At the first instant the divine weapons have clashed with the divine arrows, each divine weapon was shot hundreds of times and have all shattered into bits whereas the after impacts have rendered Dong Ah and the others almost powerless.
But there were all more divine arrows barraging down.
“Use the inner cores, we fight to the end of our lives!” Bo Di clenched his teeth with blood trickling down his mouth.
They opened their mouth and the inner cores flew out in front of them. The inner core force fields superpositioned over one another and protected Zhong Yue in the center of the force fields.
Chi, chi, chi…!
The divine arrows rained on the inner core force fields and caused Bo Di and the others to shudder violently with blood flowing out of their seven orifices. All of a sudden, the inner core of one of the Xian Tian Palace’s disciples splintered into smithereens and his aura took a dive for the worst.
Then followed by Bo Di and the other experts, their inner cores were all shattered in the rain of divine arrows and the force fields crumbled away!
“The Yuan Shen!” Bo Di’s face was contorted in pain and agony when he shouted at the top of his lungs.
Following after his command, the experts cast out their Yuan Shen. Some of them held a pallid face of fear and terror while some smiled in peace and relief. This was their final debut, the destroyal of their Yuan Shen would also be their own death.
When the second wave of divine arrows rained down from above, Bo Di smiled in peace, “Brothers and sisters, shall we meet again in our next life…”
