Zhu Jiumu was at a loss for words, but he soon sighed in understanding and replied, “Little Zhong Yue, I know you are a smart person. With you present, humanity will triumph as a great race on par with the celestial and demon races. As long as you are still here, the humans will remain strong. However, what do you think will happen if you insist on killing Wei Xue God now? How will the other races think?”
Zhong Yue’s heart tigthened upon hearing Zhu Jiumu’s words as the latter continued saying, “They will think that once you grow strong enough, you will not spare the other races. You may even inadvertently force them to create an alliance to eliminate you! If you let Wei Xue God go now, no one will be able to stop the rise of humanity, but if you insist on the path of vengeance, then I’m afraid you will not walk out of the West Barren alive.”
Shi Buyi immediately looked at Zhong Yue with worry.
Perhaps whatever Zhu Jiumu said was actually a message from the other races in the West Barren. Obviously, the other races had been paying attention to this battle and also knew that Zhong Yue had captured Wei Xue God!
Whatever Zhong Yue did so far had garnered the attention of the celestial races in West Barren; if he could capture Wei Xue God, then it meant that he could also rampage across the entire West Barren with disregard!
Thus, wouldn't it be better for them to kill him before he had fully grown instead of waiting for him to destroy them?
After all, Zhong Yue was still killable right now, but once he became a god, then everything would change!
The reason why Zhu Jiumu came to advise Zhong Yue to let Wei Xue God go was because he was Zhong Yue’s friend.
However, if Zhong Yue refused to listen, then the celestial races in West Barren would team up to kill Zhong Yue at all costs!
At the same time, celestial rays shot up into the skies from the many celestial temples; there were also prayer voices everywhere as the celestial races all prayed to their gods!
Upon their calls, the godly spirits and divine weapons in their celestial temples woke up from their slumber and prepared to strike at once!
Obviously, beneath the many celestial temples were prayer rituals hosted by one high priest after another as they led their people!
“Master Zhong Yue….” said Shi Buyi as he trembled slightly.
He was the lord of all monsters, he understood well how terrifying the situation would be if the many races in West Barren fully unveiled their power!
Zhong Yue, who also saw the celestial rays far away, also remained silent.
Zhu Jiumu coughed and said, “It is still alright if you stop now. They respect the strong so they will let you go if you stop right now. Only by staying alive will you ascend as one of the strongest in this world. You should know that the god of you humans once walked on the West Barren but he too, lost his life in the end as well….”
Suddenly, Zhong Yue asked, “Senior Jiumu, if I am not wrong, we humans have been taken as food by these races out there for a very long time, yes?”
Before the stunned Zhu Jiumu could react, Zhong Yue laughed and said loudly, “I will not let Wei Xue God go! I will cut down everyone you send after me! Everyone!”
His voice got louder and louder until it began to even shake the skies, “I will now walk on the path the god of our human race had once walked! I await all of your arrivals!”
Zhu Jiumu sighed and left as there was nothing he could do now.
Far away, a mighty voice echoed out and said, “Zhong Yue, your bravery and talent is no weaker to the Swords God from back then. I have to say that you have my deepest respect. With that being said, I will wait for you at the Divine Battlefield!”

“Master Zhong, are we really going to enter the Divine Battlefield?” Shi Buyi’s face turned pallid, he rolled his eyes and whispered softly, “The godly spirits have gone for the Divine Battlefield, if we leave through another route, they won’t be able to stop us!”
But Zhong Yue strode forward with a smile, “Come, Shi Buyi. You need a life threatening battle to cultivate the Pure Yang Yuan Shen, this is a golden opportunity for you! You are just a half step away from deityhood, how can you be defeated by your own fear?”
Shi Buyi had no choice but to follow, “I’m not, but this is no different to challenging the whole West Barren! You are still not a god, you strength isn’t even on par with the first headmaster of Swords Gate. Is there really a need to act so rashly?”
“West Barren? What’s the big deal in challenging them?” Zhong Yue sneered coldly, “I can run, but the Great Wilderness can’t. I’d rather fight my way out of the West Barren, no matter what it takes! Stepping back and conceding defeat will never earn you any respect! It can only be earned through battles, and from the blood of your enemies!”
As the one standing beside him, Shi Buyi could feel the domineering aura that burst out from the young man’s body. His indomitable will and desire to kill were palpable, he felt like a sheathed saber waiting to be released!
Once unsheathed, the saber wouldn’t stop until its hunger for victory was quenched; it would slaughter whatever stood in its way, even if it may be gods!
Even Shi Buyi was stunned by his domineering disposition!
This brat is too overbearing, but still too young, he doesn’t know how to hide his emotions well. Shi Buyi thought and lamented, But even a heavily sedate cultivator like me has been suppressed by this brat as his ride. How cruel, how unfortunate…

Divine Battlefield.
The place where the first Swords Gate headmaster had walked on before. He lead the humans and brought them out of the West Barren, paving the floor with the blood of the West Barren gods and his own!
Many gods died in the battle, their bodies rotted into bones, and traces of the godly skills still remained even after so many years.
But even more humans had died in this place. No one was born a slave, no one ever wanted to be taken as food; thus, if the human race didn’t want to be enslaved and eaten, the only way was to revolt!
Ten thousand years ago, Swords Gate’s first headmaster lead the humanity’s revoltuion out from the West Barren; ten thousand years later, history had repeated itself, except this time, it was Zhong Yue leading the charge!
This time, he wanted to show to world the true strength of the human race, he want them to feel, and to fear the humans!
The Divine Battlefield was now drastically different than the last time he was here. Back when he was here, the whole Divine Battlefield was filled with remnant divine auras and skills, and fragments of the divine weapons and the secret realms of godly spirits were scattered all around.
But now, the Divine Battlefield took a one-eighty turn—it now appeared to be incredibly solemn and saintly. Nearly all of the West Barren celestial races were here, the priests had built altars around and formed many array formations.
Each celestial race had their own unique altar; some were a hexagonal pagoda with thirteen floors, some were tall palaces that enshrined a godly spirit within, and others were huge shrines where a divine weapon was worshipped.
All of these altars had either enshrined and worshipped a godly spirit or divine weapon!
And now, these godly spirits and divine weapons were awakened, suffusing the Divine Battlefield with their godly auras, even the godly skills leftover in this place were suppressed!
Zhong Yue and Shi Buyi reached the edge of the Divine Battlefield, they looked over and were both dead silent.
How many gods were there in West Barren? There were many, but only four were left now, including Wei Xue God.
But, if one were to as how many godly spirits there were in the West Barren, not even the most knowledgeable man would know an answer for this.
There were too many celestial races in the West Barren; even though some of the races had only fewer than ten clansmen left, they might still have a godly spirit by their side. After all, every celestial race had their own glory days.
Moreover, some of the celestial races might have more than one godly spirit. It was way too many for one to ever calculate and come out with statistical data of how many godly spirits were there in the West Barren.
Zhong Yue looked afar, and all he saw was the immense auras of the godly spirits and divine weapons across a land of a few tens of thousand miles, extending all the way up to the Lian Yun Mountain Ridge.
No matter how the battle ended today, the landscape was bound to be awash with blood!
“Zhong Yue, leave Wei Xue God behind, and concede defeat. Show your respect and good will to us, and in turn, we will show you ours.”
In front of an altar, Gui Shen high priest said, “Consider it, young one. However, if you still do intend to act rashly; then, the West Barren celestial races will not hesitate to show you our capabilities!”
As he said that, the Imminent Deity magnate shot a fierce glare at Zhong Yue.
Zhong Yue smiled and clasped his hands behind his backas he walked toward them, he answered, “How ridiculous. When Xiao Wuji lead an army and annihilated some of your fellow races, including the godly spirits, none of you stood out to stop him.”
Shi Buyi’s heart skipped a beat, but had no choice but to follow closely behind Zhong Yue. Meanwhile, Zhong Yue was still scorning, “When the Xiao Mang grand ancestor slaughtered your West Barren gods, the only few gods who barely survived had to hide away to lick their wounds. But Xiao Mang grand ancestor was no better, his mortal body was destroyed and only his spirit survived, struggling to live whilst at death's door inside of the Xiao Mang supreme temple. Yet again, none of you stood together to avenge yourselves.”
“What are you trying to say?” A Shan Shen godly spirit lowered his body from the top of the altar, his hands with eyes stared at Zhong Yue, and his voice rumbled like thunder, “What are you trying to say, human?”
Zhong Yue pressed forward, the disdain on his face grew stronger as he suddenly laughed, “Thirteen of your gods went to the insect planet, twelve were killed and only one made it back. The hatred between you and the insect race should have been irreconcilable. Yet, when the insect gods arrived, none of you raised a single voice of dissent, none at all. Whereas I merely killed a single god of yours, and all of you seemed to lose your minds. Haha, you West Barren celestial races, your West Barren godly spirits…”
His pace slowed and his every step became heavier as the weather darkened and his aura billowed. The clouds turned gloomy and lightning began to fester within its depths!
“What kind of godly spirits you are, what sort of celestial races are you qualified to be? All of you who stand right here right now are just scum who only takes unfair advantage of your numbers, cowards that bully the weak and fear the strong!”
Zhong Yue strode into the Divine Battlefield to the nearest altar. On the altar, there were thousands of celestial experts standing in a god-leveled array formation, it was already clashing with his aura before any physical contact!
Zhong Yue laughed loudly, two divine rays brimmed behind him and turned into two long sabers crossing one another, “The great and magnificent celestial races are in fact, just dregs of this unjustified world! Tell me, are you brave enough to stop me if the humans are stronger than everyone of you here?”
“Human!” The godly spirits on the altars were angered, they shouted in unison, “Presumptuous!”
It should have been fear and terror that englufed his heart, but Shi Buyi felt none of those. Instead, he felt a fire begin to burn within his soul, his usual calm temperament had now turned into an unyielding will to battle. His laughter reverberated the sky, “Nicely said! The monster race can only seize our status now because our ancestors fought for it with their lives! If you don’t take them down to the ground and step on their bodies today, they will never allow the human race to enjoy the same status as them!”
Zhong Yue sneered coldly, “No, I want the human race to be above them all!”
“Zhong Yue, stop the nonsense!” Gui Shen high priest stamped his staff and shouted, “Come, let us send you on your way to death!”
Zhong Yue strode toward the first altar and clashed with the god-leveled array formation in front of it. The array formation was cast to its fullest by the celestial experts, the totem patterns in it weaved together into the image of a giant god.
The giant god bellowed and clenched his hands together. Then, the totem patterns surged over and formed a shining divine sword in his hands.
The giant god roared again and grew another two arms, the additional arms clenched together and another divine sword was formed.
Bang, bang, bang—
New arms and divine swords were formed continuously, and from far, the giant god looked like a mincer!
“Horh!” the giant god roared, and cleaved the over hundred divine swords down at Zhong Yue!
The array formation and giant god was incredibly strong, it was a gift prepared by the West Barren celestial races to welcome Shi Buyi and Zhong Yue, and also as a show of strength!
Zhong Yue clenched on the Solar Divine Saber and swung a wide arc toward the sky. Immediately, the Solar Divine Saber shone bright in rays and clashed with incoming divine swords!
A wave of blinding light came within the Solar Divine Saber, it cleaved through the divine swords and slashed the giant god into half at the middle!
The saber ray extended further, and it sliced through the array formation!
Krong—
A mile wide rift was created on the ground, all of the totem patterns of the array formation were shattered away and a blank zone abruptly appeared in middle of the array formation.
Zhong Yue waved the saber and placed it back behind. He tidied his clothes and walked through the array formation from the middle, as if taking a stroll in the park.
On the sides, the celestial experts stood unmovingly, they were slashed by the Solar Divine Saber’s saber ray; and even after Zhong Yue kept the saber, they weren’t injured at all.
“Kill!’ Gui Shen high priest called at the top of his voice.
“Kill!” the celestial experts from the array formations beside shouted, and they swarmed toward Zhong Yue and Shi Buyi.
But before they could reach to them, the celestial experts on the side of the deep rift suddenly collapsed to the ground. They didn’t suffer any injuries, but their Yuan Shen were instantly killed by the Solar Divine Saber!
“Come!” Shi Buyi shouted, his body turned larger into a nine-headed lion of a few ten thousand feet tall, and his nine heads roared in unison!

On the sides of the array formation, the West Barren experts rushed forward in formation. This time, the array formation formed a soaring bird instead of the giant god.
Zhong Yue and Shi Buyi walked in the middle of the array formation, and when the totem patterns formed the soaring bird, they were covered in the godly bird’s internal organs!
The new array formation had trapped them within the godly bird, so that its strong digestive system could ground them away!
It was the internal organs’ jobs to root out any impurities within the body, and with them formed by the godly totem patterns, the godly bird array formation was made even more terrifying!
Yet, Shi Buyi’s nine heads released a series of loud roars that ravaged the lands around. The celestial experts were struck hard by the soundwaves, and their eardrums burst. Right away, the god-leveled array formation was brought to a grounding halt.
Zhong Yue’s pace was as usual and the expression on his face remained the same while the giant lion followed closely on the back.
Shi Buyi held the Eight Extreme Malefic Weapons, and formed the Eight Extreme Slaughtering Array as he broke the godly bird array formation into halves. Hundreds of celestial experts were butchered in his Eight Extreme Slaughtering Array. Zhong Yue walked on the blood of the dead experts, not a single skill could reach him under Shi Buyi’s protection.
The Eight Extreme Slaughtering Array sent Zhong Yue to the edge of the first altar. The godly bird array formation was torn to the ground, and all that was left was a floor of corpses.
On the altar was enshrined a Gui Shen godly spirit. The Gui Shen high priest’s pupils shrunk like needles and he quickly cast out his staff. The staff was made from the backbone of an unknown creature, and it had five chained skulls on the top. After the Gui Shen high priest surged his demigod arcane energy into the staff, the five skulls spun rapidly, and grew larger with strong surges of godly auras rising within—they were the skulls of gods!
The five skulls opened their mouths wide and gnawed down at Zhong Yue.
“Don’t you dare!” Shi Buyi roared and before the skulls could even get close to Zhong Yue, they were stopped by the Eight Extreme Malefic Weapons, five blunt sounds of weapons clashing resounded together into a cacophonous symphony.
Gui Shen high priest squinted his eyes and stared at Shi Buyi, he said in a rumbling voice, “Lion, you and I once had a good relationship, why do you stand in my way and help the human instead? Could it be that you have bowed before him and became his mount? What a shame!”
Shi Buyi’s face blushed, he laughed in spite of anger, “Bullshit! I am a human’s mount? I’m just here because I don’t like you West Barren celestial races! Your shamelessness has stimulated the pains of what our monster race had been through, that’s why I am here to help the humans! Who do you think you are? For me to let go of the racial affairs because of our shallow friendship?”
Gui Shen high priest took a step back into the void, he disappeared and hid inside of the shattered array formation. His voice came from every direction, sneering coldly as he said, “You are just his mount, there is no need to quibble anymore! When Xiao Wuji was fighting with Wei Xue God, I saw the human riding you with my own eyes!”
This old brat, he must be killed for his mouth to be sealed forever!
Shi Buyi was immediately filled in incredible killing intent, and he lunged all out!
