Jiang Yiqi nodded, “Fate it is. Fate had decided that the Fuxi will not die and the humans will prevail, thus, such coincidence. Shame, I wonder if Human Sovereign saw all of these….”
An unknown pain engulfed him and after a moment, he led the way and before getting onto the platform, he said, “After you, Fuxi.”
They got onto the final teleportal and after Jiang Yiqi activated it, a light shot up into the skies and pierced through the dimension above the center of this universe.
At this moment, Zhong Yue felt the ripping of time and space. As the light surrounding him flew further away, he saw the universe’s evolution since its nascent days unfold before his eyes.
When the universe was born, there was nothing but eternal darkness. As time passed, light emerged from the darkness and endless stars were formed. The cycle of life and death slowly built up and innate gods were born into this universe from the marvelous pure Dao sacred ground. Years later, civilizations formed and they lit up the universe like fire and after a period of shine, everything turned calm and quiet.
The universe was growing and endless bright history flashed across his eyes, he felt that he had experienced hundreds of billions of years but when he tried to look back carefully, he saw nothing.
Suddenly, this unique feeling vanished and they all entered a higher level dimension.
They had arrived at the Zi Wei Galaxy.
And Zhong Yue looked around with excitement. He had now finally stepped foot in Zi Wei Galaxy!
Back when he was still immature and young, he dreamt of leaving Ancestral Star with the hopes of making the humans great again, leading them out from the Ancestral Star and the galaxy.
He came here with the hopes of improving the human situation, to change everything but things did not go after his ways. First, he accidentally arrived in Wei Shen Six Paths World, took part in the 3,000 Six Paths Worlds’ competition, went through a series of difficulties, experienced the suppression of Heaven Origin Reincarnation Mirror for 30 billion years, ran into the sinister existence, had Xin Huo almost extinguish forever, seen the impossible world and all sorts of unique encounters.
Now, the young man became an adult, a god and finally, he entered Zi Wei Galaxy.
The Zi Wei Galaxy was located in a higher dimension was because when standing in the Zi Wei Galaxy and looking up into the skies, one could have the entire 3,000 Six Paths Worlds included in his vision. Standing here felt like a person stood on a superior position and had the god’s eyes view.
This place was far superior to any of the sacred grounds in the lower worlds and perhaps the place that gave birth to the innate gods were as good as this place. Here, there were divine rays everywhere, the clouds were made from divine Qi and sacred grounds were all over. Those ancient continents floating in the skies were also filled with a jaw-dropping amount of resources.
The lower worlds were extremely vast and nurtured lots of living beings and though this place seemed smaller than the lower worlds, Zhong Yue had this feeling that this place was much larger than the lower worlds.
And this was a very surreal feeling.
“You felt it?”
Jiang Yiqi was surprised and he praised, “With that level of yours, you managed to realize the differences of Zi Wei Galaxy and the others. Impressive. This place is not as small as it seems, it appears at most as big as a galaxy but it’s actually much bigger than the entire lower worlds combined. In the lower 3,000 worlds, those that govern and rule are called the Heavens’ Kings and the word Heavens was derived from Zi Wei Galaxy.”
“Heavens? What does it mean?” asked a confused Zhong Yue.
“Zi Wei Galaxy doesn’t seem big at all but within this galaxy are hidden endless Heavens, each controlled by the rulers of each race. These rulers are crowned as the sovereigns. For example, the human’s ruler holds the title of the Human Sovereign, and our current Human Sovereign is called Nong Sovereign. It is the same for the other races, the Celestial Sovereign for the celestial races, the Demon Sovereign for the demon races.”
Jiang Yiqi continued the journey with Zhong Yue and he continued explaining, “The sovereigns in Zi Wei Galaxy are the rulers of each race. Some had the cultivation level of only the Deity Emperors and some are Creators or even the level of Imperial Emperor. But then there are also some that only had the cultivation level of Deity Overlord but this is mostly among the smaller races and is a very rare occurrence.”
They got past one after another sacred grounds and when Zhong Yue looked at the sacred grounds, all he saw were unique and mysterious phenomena where divine ray shrouded the divine mountains and not even the Heaven Courts in the 3,000 Six Paths World had something like that.
“The sovereigns in each race all had their very own Heavens. Each Heavens is a realm themselves and each of them is on par with the lower world’s Heaven Realm. The spiritual power there are abundant and condensed, and there are a lot of resources there. These Heavens are also the place where the many races lived in. Thus, the Zi Wei Galaxy that is formed by these Heavens is actually much bigger than it seems.”
Jiang Yiqi said, “There are even sovereigns that once suggested to the Heavenly Monarch to abandon the lower realms since the lower realms are much poorer. However, such a foolish and short-sighted suggestion was discarded by the Heavenly Monarch right away.”
Zhong Yue then asked, “Why so?”
Jiang Yiqi explained, “Initially, there were no Heavens in the Zi Wei Galaxy, they were just creations of the great paragons throughout the years. This was the case for the Heaven Realms in the 3,000 Six Paths Worlds. Thus, the really precious lands are not located within the Heavens or the many Heaven Realms. Instead, the really precious ones are the Pure Dao Worlds that exist in the ancient universe since the beginning of time. These are places where the innate gods were born and lands that no one can artificially create.”
Zhong Yue nodded in agreement; the Pure Dao Worlds existed in the heaven and earth along with the birth of the universe, they weren’t something that could be created. Discarding the lower worlds meaning they would have to inevitably discard these natural precious lands as well.
In short term, there wouldn’t be any problems but in the long run, if a genius was born within the ancient universe or the 3,000 Six Paths Worlds, he would definitely conquer the lower worlds and then, the Zi Wei Galaxy!
Thus, abandoning the lower worlds was definitely a suicidal idea.
“We humans too have a Heavens but this Heavens is the worst among all. It was created by Human Sovereign after placing everything on the line. He spent his whole life trying to perfect it but the humans are in a difficult situation, especially those in Zi Wei….”
Jiang Yiqi shook his head and he showed no intention of talking anymore.
After a few months, the places they passed by gradually appeared to be more and more developed and the number of sacred grounds they saw increased tremendously. The places they passed by were also the territories of the ancient yet awfully strong celestial races.
And that was when Zhong Yue finally knew what they meant by taking a hostage.
The Human Sovereign’s palace was surrounded by so many strong races not because they respected him and viewed him highly, but because they wanted to keep an eye on him.
Finally, they arrived at the Human Sovereign’s palace where there were also prosperity clouds and bright divine rays. However, granted humanities situation, everything here was much worse than the other races’ main palace’s.
And this place was more than just quiet as there were no visitors at all and not as developed as the other sacred grounds.
Jiang Yiqi got excited in his heart and he walked quickly into the Human Sovereign’s palace in the sacred ground where the many young humans resided and managed to palace.
“Human Sovereign, I’ve completed our promise so don’t you dare die right now!”
Jiang Yiqi murmured and as he charged right into the palace with Zhong Yue, he saw an old man in white robes standing at the palace doors appearing to be searching for someone. After seeing the two of them, the old man immediately smiled and he approached them.
Jiang Yiqi laughed happily and after he greeted, he shouted, “Senior martial brother! You’re still alive! I thought you’ve passed away and I even mourned for you….”
“Mister Yiqi! Mister Yiqi!”
Suddenly, from the side came a human god and as he ran towards Jiang Yiqi, he cried and shouted, “Mister Yiqi, Human Sovereign… has passed away!”
“Nonsense!”
Jiang Yiqi was angered by this human god and scolded, “My senior martial brother is standing right in front of me….”
He suddenly stunned and when he looked at the old man in a white robe and looked at the palace again, sadness swallowed him wholly and he shouted, “Senior martial brother! Why are you still here after you died! You should have gone to the Void World!”
Human Sovereign had indeed passed away and this old man bearing his looks was just his soul. In the palace was a coffin that was left uncovered and the body lying in the coffin that could be seen vaguely had the exact same look as this old man, except that the body was much older and deprived of life.
He did not manage to hold himself together until Zhong Yue’s arrival.
He passed away but his dream did not come true, thus, his soul lingered in the palace, waiting for Zhong Yue and Jiang Yiqi’s arrival.
All this just to see Fuxi again.
Chapter 782: Nong Sovereign's Last Words |
He was one who opened the Bloodline Wheel, his atman’s and mortal body’s longevity were the same. If his mortal body died, his atman would disperse as well.
Only by ascending his soul into the Void World could he save his soul from death. In addition to the worships, one could theoretically continue to live eternally in the Void World.
However, in order to see Zhong Yue, the Nong Sovereign chose not to ascend his soul. Instead, he stayed back just for Zhong Yue, to tell the latter of the humans’ affairs, things that Zhong Yue wouldn’t know of. The uncompleted works of humanity’s rise, and every other plan, dreams, and ideal Nong Sovereign himself couldn’t have done it himself.
Zhong Yue stared dumbly at the elder’s soul who was smiling ear to ear on his arrival. Was there ever a need to take the risk of dispersing his soul just to meet with Zhong Yue? Was it actually worth it?
Zhong Yue could see it clear as crystal, the elder’s soul was already dispersing, the effect was irreversible and would be final. Once the soul was dispersed, Nong Sovereign would be no more.
However, the Void World could still save him. It was a world with no flow of time, although one’s soul would still slowly wither, the process was much slower, as long as there was enough worship, one could indefinitely prolong their effective lives.
“You’ve finally come…” Nong Sovereign’s atman laughed, “Follow me, there are too many prying ears out here.”
Zhong Yue and Jiang Yiqi followed the elder’s atman into the Human Sovereign Palace. Nong Sovereign hovered above his coffin, his face filled with exuberance and he said softly, “Fuxi, I never thought I will meet with a Fuxi in my life, but now I am seeing one. I have so many things to tell you, so many things I need you to know. What a shame, I was born too early, if I was born a few thousand years, no, even a few hundred years later, things might’ve been different…”
“No, it’s me who was born too late,” Zhong Yue’s voice was filled with sadness and he continued bitterly, “I couldn’t meet you when you were at your prime.”
“Not too late, not yet. At least, I still can see you.” The eyes of Nong Sovereign’s atman shone brightly as he said, “In this era, those who dare to become a Fuxi are all great and ambitious geniuses. I didn’t dare to, Yiqi didn’t, and nor did I allow Xuan Yuan to venture down that path. Yet, you did it, you dared to become a Fuxi. The things you’ve done have already set into motion a chain of events that will be bigger than anything I’ve ever achieved. I’ve let the ancient universe’s human race to inform you to not come, but you did so anyway. That just proves you are more a Fuxi.”
Zhong Yue startled, he came only because he made a promise, that’s why he would come no matter what.
Nong Sovereign’s atman smiled, “I’ve been waiting for a Fuxi like you. My end is near and my life is unsalvagable, I cannot come back to aid you in your quest. However, before my atman disperses, I have a few important matters I need to tell you. Yiqi, please excuse us.”
Jiang Yiqi was puzzled while Nong Sovereign continued, “You are the next Human Sovereign, only the humans are your responsibility. The matters of Fuxi are outside of your purview, knowing too much will only bring disaster.”
Jiang Yiqi nodded and left, he didn’t exit the Human Sovereign Palace but entered a quiet room inside of the palace.
Even though Nong Sovereign was dead, there were still many eyes and ears spying from the dark. If he walked out of the palace, those who were spying would know immediately and suspect why Nong Sovereign’s atman only talked to Zhong Yue but not Jiang Yiqi. That way, troubles would arise for Zhong Yue.
“The first and most important thing,” Nong Sovereign’s atman was slowly dispersing, but he was not affected by it and said solemnly, “The Fuxi Heavenly Monarchs’ cultivation techniques are all deciphered and countered.”
Zhong Yue’s body shuddered in shock, he raised his voice, “How is that possible!? The Fuxi Heavenly Monarchs’ cultivation techniques are beyond reach, how can they be deciphered and countered?”
Even Xin Huo nearly leaped out from his psyche ocean, the little flame shouted, “Impossible! The Heavenly Monarchs are all the strongest experts in the universe, how can their cultivation techniques be solved just like that!?”
“All of Fuxi Heavenly Monarchs’ cultivation techniques are countered, there are no exceptions.” Nong Sovereign’s atman continued, “This also includes the Fuxi Clan’s innate abilities, the natural totem patterns, the divine eye, the divine heart, the divine bones, the innate dragon scales, the snake tail, the celestial Qi; everything has been countered. If you can’t see yourself rising to a level above the Fuxi Clan’s Heavenly Monarchs, I suggest you give up now and live out the rest of your life as someone else in peace.”
Zhong Yue was still shocked, one could tell just how great an impact this news had on him!
The strongest celestial race of an entire era, the knowledge and attainments of nearly a million years, and now Nong Sovereign was telling him none of those would be useful to him at all.
Xin Huo frowned, he shook his head and mumbled, “Impossible, impossible. Even if they have deciphered Monarch Xi Hao and the succeeding Fuxi Monarchs, they won’t be able to decipher those before; this is because the cultivation techniques before that are all with me, the Fuxi descendants won’t know any of it, let alone them…”
However, Nong Sovereign didn’t notice the little flame in Zhong Yue’s psyche ocean. After all, he was dead and it was only his atman left with him, there wasn’t much cultivation base and arcane energy left with him anymore. Whereas on the other hand, Zhong Yue’s ascension into deityhood had boosted his power greatly to a point that even ordinary Creators wouldn’t be able to see through him anymore.
“It is true, all of them were deciphered.” Nong Sovereign said, “The human race in the ancient universe is the Fuxi descendants. Before the Fuxi had all become humans, there were still a few powerful Fuxi remaining that tried to make waves. But none of them had a good ending, everything the Fuxi did had been seen through.”
Could it be those ancient presences that have reincarnated into the Fuxi Clan stole the cultivation techniques and deciphered them, even deriving countermeasures for them?
Zhong Yue’s heart was throbbed, No, no, Xin Huo’s slumber has caused a loss in heritage to half of the Fuxi Heavenly Monarchs’ cultivation techniques, they can’t possibly find them at all, let alone decipher and counter! But other than Xin Huo, where would they find Hao Yi, Shi Yi, and the other Fuxi Heavenly Monarchs’ cultivation techniques?
“The second thing,” Nong Sovereign’s voice was solemn, “Hideous and treacherous, there are some creatures that labeled themselves as Fuxi in the Zi Wei Galaxy, but they are the exact ones that you should be careful of. The same blood flows in your veins but they will not hesitate to eliminate you.”
Zhong Yue kept quiet. True enough, the only ones worse than your enemies were traitors.
“The third thing,” Nong Sovereign’s atman could be seen dimming away as he continued, “The existence that exterminated and sealed the Fuxi Clan may possibly just be a puppet. Something else bigger and darker lurks in the shadows. The fourth…”
The Nong Sovereign tried to get out as much information as he could as felt his time running out, “Those that ran to the ancient universe brought a terrifying weapon with them. Through 80,000 years of endless worship and preparation, the weapon is now ready and active.”
“Fifth, I’ve left many allies for you, they may be of great help in the future.”
“Sixth, I am a hostage held in the Zi Wei Galaxy. However, being taken as a hostage means I have some support. These experts may help you but before that, you need to be a convincing candidate for them to do so…”
…
One after another, Nong Sovereign told Zhong Yue everything he needed to know. By now, his atman was just a fine line away from dispersing.
“Fuxi, I now hand the fate of humanity over to you! And one last thing—live and survive no matter what. As long as you are alive, then there will always be hope!”
As he finished, Nong Sovereign’s atman scattered and dissipated in the breeze. The greatest leader that humanity had ever seen had finally completed his bitter life, fading to dust.
