On the fortress walls, Zhong Yue slowly ascended the stairs and revealed himself in plain sight.
Happiness struck Ting Fengcen right away and with his forehead split apart, the divine third eye emerged but at the same time, the same thing happened to Zhong Yue; both had the divine third eye and the same art!
As soon as the eyes met, eye-blinding light flashed across the field and six divine light pillars crossed!

On the walls, the many soldiers of Heaven Suppression Fortress all got themselves readied for the incoming attacks.
Back in the Heavenly River Navy Fleet, Lou Zhenghsi frowned upon the Huangting Clan’s army for when they charged out, their formation was still in perfect coordination but once they got close to the walls, they had already broken the formation they had set up with, rendering its power fading away and the helpless Lou Zhengshi could only sigh.
The Huangting Clan may be a monarch race, but it had been a long time since they experienced a war; their morale was poor and they were very much undisciplined compared to Zhong Yue’s Xian Tian Royal Guards!

Even though Lou Zhengshi did not have any hope in this battle, he still can’t let his ally attack alone, he quickly gave out appropriate commands and his army started sailing into the river.
The banners on the warships raised high, the countless warships entered the river and the two navy fleet clashed together; as the Yinkang Clan’s Heavenly River Suppression Cauldron was activated, not a single wave appeared on the river and on the ground, where the Yinkang Clan’s members praying towards the cauldron, its power intensified by many folds!

At the front side of the river, the Huangting Clan’s Creators used their bodies as bridges, allowing their fellow soldiers to charged to the opposite through stepping over their bodies.
As a monarch race, Huangting Clan had lots of Creators. These Creators all knelt down in the river, using their backs as the bridge while the Huangting Clan’s soldiers charged at the Heaven Suppression Fortress like ants.
Some gods tried to fly in the air but their body and Yuan Shen disintegrated upon triggering the seals in the air above the fortress.
Seeing this, the other gods obediently crossed the bridges made of the Creators’ back.
Meanwhile, the Heavens in the fortress illuminated in colorful lights before the Heavens’ power blasted right into the Heavenly River, creating overwhelming waves with the Star Dusts rolling within in, dragging the many Huangting soldiers into the river!
The Creators were also injured by the torrents and they all wailed in pain.
The Huangting elders fought their way into the river quickly as a countermeasure, suppressed the raging waves, held off the Heavens’ power and created a clashing light curtain in midair as the elders and the Heavens’ power tried to overwhelm each other.
The fortress’ gates opened and seconds later, the many army divisions came charging out in a spearhead formation with Fei Yi Celestial Race’s Sovereign Ba, Zheng Race’s Sovereign Zheng, and the other peak Creators leading the charge, attacking towards the Creators that were using themselves as the bridges.
These Creators were quickly slammed into the river and along with them, the many Huangting soldiers still on their back were swallowed up by the river. Sovereign Ba, Sovereign Zheng, and the other peaked Creators then leaped into the river, fighting against the Huangting Creators; massive beasts emerged from the river time to time before diving back, intertwining with each other, stirring up even more waves!
“Bridges!”
Ting Daoji roared angrily and the Huangting Clan’s soldiers hurled out divine wooden planks, stacking them up and connecting them on the river. The same thing was happening at the fortress opposite of the river, stirring up even more chaos in an instant.
The Huangting soldiers charged out right away, rushing towards the fortress with relentless power, but just as they were halfway crossing the bridge, some of the bridges flew up into the air and disappeared.
The gods all fell down into the river and behind them, the gods pushed those at the front into the river and after these gods were washed by the river water, they all turned into corpses, then skeletons and shattered into dust!
From the Huangting Clan’s camps flew out one after another Heavens, suppressing the Heavens in the Heaven Suppression Fortress while the Huangting Clan’s Imperial Emperors grabbed onto the Star Dust in the river and scattered them into the air.
These dust turned into stars that hung high up in the skies, and after spitting out a massive path, these Imperial Emperors connected these stars together to form flying bridges.
The soldiers immediately got up the bridge and started a new wave of charging again, only to horridly notice the river beneath them started boiling as twin-tailed serpents emerged with their jaws wide open and swallowed the soldiers alive.
“Fei Yi Celestial Race is really annoying!”
A Huangting Imperial Emperor who was halfway crossing the bridge murmured in frustration before a golden light flew out from the back of his head, quickly traced around Sovereign Ba’s head and Sovereign Ba’s giant head fell into the river.
Suddenly, Sovereign Ba’s headless body grew another head and Sovereign Ba immediately disappeared into the river again.
“Fei Yi Celestial Race’s substitution body?”
That Imperial Emperor was surprised but he did not give much attention to this; though Sovereign Ba was the sovereign of the Fei Yi Celestial Race, he was still much inferior to Imperial Emperors.
Huangting Clan’s Imperial Emperors gradually boarded the bridges to assist their people in the siege. Underneath, gigantic Creators rampaged in the Star River while the Fusang Divine Tree and the Heavens Divine Dao Bell clashed constantly, the tree’s roots absorbed immense energy from the river and its branches fended off the bell’s attacks.
Be it possessing immense might, the Heavens Divine Dao Bell was unable to pass the river.
On the walls, the Xian Tian Royal Guards launched terrifying bolts towards the Huangting Clan’s Imperial Emperors with the ballistas, halted their advancements and they also launched cannon balls with the cannons towards the bridges in attempt to destroy the bridges.
A massive net was set up as well to prevent the Huangting soldiers from climbing onto the walls and spearmen stood everywhere on the walls, stabbing the enemies who fell into the net to death!

An Imperial Emperor finally found his way to the fortress gate. He whipped out a mirror, which launched lasers towards the fortress and the impact shook the entire fortress’ walls.
“The Star Light Mirror!” ordered Jin Hexi.
In an instant, endless mirrors were raised up high, created a curtain in the skies that reflected everything they could include in while launching out decimating light rays that evaporated the Huangting soldiers!
“Raise the banners!”
Ting Daoji shouted angrily while he got up the bridges. Behind him, innumerable banners raised up and when Ting Daoji reached out his hands, he grabbed onto these banners, threw them out, nailed them to the mirrors and the banners immediately blocked off the decimating light rays.
“Flying Cloud Chariots!”
The clan master shouted again and war chariots came charging out, the gods on the chariots hurled down siege ladders and the soldiers immediately climbed up the ladders.
To counter this, Jin Hexi shouted, “Hang up the Divine Sun Lantern and light up the Sun Beads!”
Lanterns were hung on the walls, the many Jinwu Clan’s warriors turned into golden crows which flew into the lanterns, lightning them up and fire shot out from the lantern like fiery dragons, lightning up the chariots and the ladders.
These Jinwu warriors and lanterns were all part of Jin Hexi’s dowry and she had now used them all in this battle.
Ting Daoji was enraged and he climbed up the walls himself but just when he was about to unleash a massacre he long desired, chaos descended at the back of the Huangting Clan as the army from nine towns and twelve strongholds arrived. The reinforcement torn the Huangting Clan apart and at the front, Zhong Yue kept all the Xian Tian Royal Guards into the Stone Sentinel Maze, activated [Innate Eight Trigrams] and stopped Ting Daoji from rampaging!
Every possible way to enter Heaven Suppression Fortress was blocked off for Ting Daoji, just as the Huangting Clan’s Imperial Emperors surrounded Zhong Yue tightly, laughters were heard, “King Yi, Heaven Riding Fortress is here to help!”
“So is the Shield Wall Fortress!”
Ting Daoji turned around in a hurry and the next thing he saw was definitely unpleasant to him. Imperial Emperor Duo Yin and Fu Ya led their army and flanked the Huangting Clan, mowing down every enemy in their path. The massive flying fortresses of their army unleashed a bloodbath among the Huangting Clan.
In the flying fortresses, giants slammed onto the war drums, played war songs that boosted the morale while Imperial Emperor Duo Yin and Fu Ya joined Zhong Yue.
“Retreat! Retreat at once!”
Lou Zhengshi suddenly pulled his men back from the war, the Heavenly River Formation was activated, turning into a massive Star Wheel that clashed with the Heavenly River Suppression Cauldron, forced off the Yinkang Navy and shouted, “Brother Daoji, retreat at once!”
Ting Daoji’s heart sank to the bottom and when he looked around, he sadly noticed the heavy losses of the Huangting Clan and their defeat was inevitable. He sighed and quickly ordered, “Children of the Huangting Clan, retreat from the battle!”
After that, along with the Imperial Emperor level elders of the Huangting Clan, he held off the Xian Tian Royal Guards, Shield Wall Fortress and Heaven Riding Fortress’s retaliation but Fu Li, Fu Lie and the others’ flanking still continuously claimed countless Huangting soldiers’ lives!
The battle lasted for over ten days and after retreating far away, Lou Zhengshi and Ting Daoji finally forced off the enemies with the Heavens Divine Dao Bell.
Zhong Yue returned to the walls, looking towards the battlefield where the Xian Tian Royal Guards were cleaning up the mess; in this fierce battle, corpses were laid everywhere, and remnants of the weapons scattered around. There were some gods lying in the blood pool, struggling to stay alive.
The fire burnt brightly, chased away the darkness and the shadows lurked around like evil spirits.
“Arghhhh——”
In the battlefield, a Huangting Clan’s soldier wrapped his arms around a body and let out painful cries.
His legs were no more and the body in his arms was most likely someone he held close. His mouth opened wide as he was trying to speak a thousand words, but the sadness was too overwhelming he could only produce random muffled moans.
Those cries were awfully painful, they could break the hearts of those who listened.
The general of Xian Tian Royal Guards, Li Hua, walked up, bowed at him and said, “Brother, I promise that this will be swift, there will be no pain.”
The Huangting soldier only mindlessly stared at Li Hua with a pair of eyes engulfed by emptiness and with a flash from Li Hua’s sword, the soldier’s head fell to the ground.
And Zhong Yue sighed upon this sorrowful scene.

Imperial Emperor Fu Ya fell into silence and Imperial Emperor Duo Yin stopped playing his lute, “There is no such thing as an undefeated army. All it takes is just one defeat.”
On a battlefield, there were already endless similar scenarios, if you were kind to the enemies, then you’d be treating yourself cruelty, therefore, as much as a battle aroused the sympathy and pity of soldiers, they had no choice but to end the lives of their opponents.
The Heaven Suppression Fortress suffered heavy losses; after the battle, each division started organizing themselves again, treating the wounds and burying the dead, Zhong Yue, Yin Fukang and the other commanders each held a grand funeral for their fallen brothers.
After receiving the reports, Zhong Yue was sad to know that there were another million of the Xian Tian Royal Guards passed away, leaving only 12,000,000 of them. While there were casualties among the nine towns and twelve fortresses, the losses were not as great as the Heaven Suppression Fortress.
As one of the divisions that took part in the toughest part of the war, Yinkang Navy suffered great damage as well. However, with Yin Fanxuan commanding the navy and thanks to the geographical factor, the Yinkang Clan managed to preserve their main power.
After this major defeat, the Huangting Clan is most likely going to bring out Monarch Huang Ting’s spirit!
Zhong Yue looked towards the enemy camps and thought, With the addition of the Heavens Divine Dao Bell… We mustn’t let them summon Monarch Huang Ting’s spirit!
In the Huangting Clan’s main camp, a massive altar was set up, and loud prayers echoed; after this defeat, Huangting Clan suffered heavy losses and Ting Daoji decided to summon Monarch Huang Ting’s spirit to turn the table.
