A shriek could suddenly be heard and Zhong Yue quickly looked towards the direction, only to find a monster Qi Practitioner being dragged into the water by two huge clamps. Before anyone could react, the clamps had already disappeared into the water along with the Qi Practitioner.
Then, blood could be seen in the water, dying the water in red!
“There’s something in the water!”
The monster Qi Practitioners immediately scattered and headed towards the shore, hiding in the forest and not even sparing a single thought of rendering any assistance to the unfortunate cultivator. They were, after all, competitors. Thus, it would work in their favor if the number of people they had to contend with dwindled, leaving only themselves in the realm so they could have a better chance.
None of them could be reliable at this point.
Zhong Yue quickly got to the shore and entered the jungle while he thought, Even Yu Xuanji and Hu Qimei will become my opponent here. If we encountered each other, we might end up fighting with our lives on the line!

Zhong Yue’s heart thumped as he saw these golden lights moved swiftly through the air like the wind towards somewhere far away, making it difficult for him to see clearly.
Such a danger, even the Rebirth Qi Practitioner could not even withstand against it, being eaten alive in such a short time. The air seems to be a minefield of dangers, if I flew in the air, a tragic fate may befall me!
He looked around quickly and saw a steep mountain far away; if the Monster God Ming King would pick a place to stay, that would be one of the places he would pick.
Zhong Yue made his decision and just when he was about to jump down from the tree, he saw a golden light shining on the ground faintly.
What’s this? A shell?
After a moment, Zhong Yue got to the golden light and he saw a thin golden shell lying on the ground. From the looks of it, the shell seemed to be the skin shed by some kind of insect, but it was just way too big.
The shedded skin was even bigger than him, covered in steel fur with traces of wings on the back of its skin. It was his first time seeing such a big insect!
“It’s the insect race!”
Xin Huo was shocked and he flew out from Zhong Yue’s psyche ocean before circling around the shed skin and said, “It is indeed from the insect race, I never thought I would see this race again at such a place!”
Zhong Yue asked curiously, “What kind of race is this insect race?”
“Insects have short lifespans, at most, two to three years, making it almost impossible for them to form a civilization, not to mention the fact that they have low intelligence. Thus, they are unable to become an advanced and intelligent society like the humans or the monsters. However, the insect race is the aberrant species among the insects; they were also referred to as the god bugs as they have longer life spans than ordinary insects. Their skin is also naturally engraved with totem patterns so as to naturally absorb the energy in the air. With the passage of time, they eventually developed a rudimentary intelligence. Monsters like the spider monsters are all actually races that splintered off from the insect race despite them being classed as monsters.”
Xin Huo continued his explanation, “This race could hardly be seen anymore due to the rampant proclivities of the insect race during ancient times. They devoured everything in their path, which was also the impetus of their doom. I never thought that there were quite a number of insect race that survived here in this realm. These insects could perform asexual reproduction and also be tamed as a soul weapon, which is the reason why they were all called living soul weapons.

“The insect race was created by the demons and they bred these insects with the blood of the demon god in order to use them as war machines against the celestial race. The demons bred them and unleashed them into the galaxy, shrouding the entire world in their shadow, and leaving nothing behind as they voraciously devoured everything in their path. Then, the insect race soon somehow developed their own intelligence somehow whereby they became independent of the compulsion of the demons. Due to that, the insect race faced annihilation from both the celestial race and demon race. However, the insect race was too fecund and their reproductive potential and was too strong. Making it nigh impossible to drive them to extinction, thus, the insects are still existing to this day. These insects are actually very good as they are able to absorb all kinds of energy … Look out!”
Suddenly, an earth fissure appeared on the ground where Zhong Yue stood and a golden centipede flew out from the cracked ground. The feelers in front of the centipede stabbed towards Zhong Yue quickly and before they could reach Zhong Yue, pale yellow venom could be seen flying out towards him.
The feelers looked like the scorpion poisonous sting, with the end of the feelers looking extremely sharp while shining with metallic golden color, which seems to be made of a mixture of metal alloys!

His heart thumped in terror, he quickly slid parallel to the ground, the muscles in his body shifted and moved his bones, contorting his body in mid-air. It was a near miss as he dodged the two deadly toxic silks!

The two toxic silks slipped past his nose tip and armpit, the acrid smell gushed into his nose. Although he had stopped breathing it in the first second, a small leak was still taken in and the psyche in his psyche ocean was immediately undergoing the same corrosive effect that his Xuan Wu shields were previously subject to. The sky turned overcast and gloomy, the sun and moon dimmed and his aureate psyche ocean turned pasty, losing its usual vibrancy, whereupon it began to emit a putrid stench!
Indeed worthy of its name as the beings created by the demon gods to fight against the celestials!
Zhong Yue visualized the Sui Sovereign. Instantly, the toxic fumes were smelted away, but the psyches that was corroded would never be able to be recovered.
Meanwhile, on his two Xuan Wu Gold Spirit Shields, the toxic liquids started to creep from the corroded holes. The dragon turtle totem patterns and Teng Snake totem patterns were decomposing, the spirituality in the Gold Qi was ablating and the small needle holes soon ballooned into the sizes of large fists!
Zhong Yue quickly dispersed the Xuan Wu Gold Spirit Shields and reclaimed the unaffected Gold Qi. His heart was palpitating in terror; the centipede’s toxic venom was too potent, even the seemingly intractable contextures of the totem patterns were corroded away from the roots!
The centipede lunged into the air, hovered above the ground and flew over to him at great speed. Zhong Yue moved, shuttling in between the towering ancient trees —Krong krong krong….— behind him came the sounds of crumbling trees, it was the centipede’s peerlessly sharp legs that chopped the trees down!

Gold Sword Qi flitted out from his back. It turned into a sword silk and surreptitiously shot over to the centipede. Zheng zheng zheng!—— the sounds of blasts came and fire sparks flared on the centipede’s body. Gashes appeared all over its body and faintly yellow blood spewed out from the wounds. The centipede’s legs extended out and slashed with the Gold Sword Qi, and unexpectedly, during the clashes, the sword silk curled around its legs.

Zhong Yue stood still, numerous Sword Qi revolved around him in the array formation of【Fourth Sword Style】, preparing himself for the deadly assault.
Suddenly, a towering tree on his right shook violently with the sounds of leaves shuddering before abruptly turning deadly silent.

With a thought, Zhong Yue slashed out the four sword silks in the【Fourth Sword Style】array formation which enshrouded the tree. The sword silks shuttled in, out and around the tree. in a trice, the whole tree was diced to dust.

“Interesting, so smart and brilliant you are, but sadly that’s all you’ve got— besides your body strength and the toxic venom, you’ve nothing else. Which is why, you will end here and now!”

Suddenly, an earth fissure appeared on the ground where Zhong Yue stood and a golden centipede flew out from the cracked ground. The feelers in front of the centipede stabbed towards Zhong Yue quickly and before they could reach Zhong Yue, pale yellow venom could be seen flying out towards him.
The feelers looked like the scorpion poisonous sting, with the end of the feelers looking extremely sharp while shining with metallic golden color, which seems to be made of a mixture of metal alloys!

Zhong Yue reclaimed the Sword Qi. The centipede was growling in pain, it’s legs jittered restlessly, crawling onto a tree and disappearing into the tree crowns. Looming in and out amid the thick leaves, it was changing and shifting places around Zhong Yue, biding for the right time to strike.
Zhong Yue stood still, numerous Sword Qi revolved around him in the array formation of【Fourth Sword Style】, preparing himself for the deadly assault.
Suddenly, a towering tree on his right shook violently with the sounds of leaves shuddering before abruptly turning deadly silent.

With a thought, Zhong Yue slashed out the four sword silks in the【Fourth Sword Style】array formation which enshrouded the tree. The sword silks shuttled in, out and around the tree. in a trice, the whole tree was diced to dust.
Almost instantly, the ground beneath Zhong Yue bulged, and not knowing when, the centipede sneaked down from the tree and burrowed into the ground, launching another offensive from beneath the ground!
“Interesting, so smart and brilliant you are, but sadly that’s all you’ve got— besides your body strength and the toxic venom, you’ve nothing else. Which is why, you will end here and now!”
